I don't like the idea of their being a vanilla townie in the game, and didn't The Shape have a PM that implicated Prophet?

You knopw of course in the history of Mafia games there has never been a vanilla roile.

Even if was just a guy with a -1 vote.. everyone's always had some kind of lil extra to their role.

I was a mason, but my brother died from the start. I never got a chance to capitalize on it. Maybe his death didn't allow me to evolve on the 5th night, but I still can't fathom why I'd wait 4 days for revenge. I don't do anything.

Should we lynch Prophet, then?

Bear's using an invention built by a grave robber ... a grave robber who got no forensics off the kit, because he ruined it. And because my name magically popped up, we're gonna kill me? It doesn't make sense.

I was a mason, but my brother died from the start. I never got a chance to capitalize on it. Maybe his death didn't allow me to evolve on the 5th night, but I still can't fathom why I'd wait 4 days for revenge. I don't do anything.

With 8 or 10 people, right? And he'd used the kit himself. This one he built and passed on to someone else, so it's now 3rd hand, since it was nZane's plans, and it pins me? To me, it doesn't make sense. And if it was someone else, I could understand where they were coming from.

No, unfortunately. When we got our roles, he sent me a pm saying how cool it was to be a mason group, and good luck to he and I. That night, he died, so I never got to go further with our talk, past our greetings.

Possible, or it was ruined because he's not a trained forensics. Listen, I can understand the doubt, but answer me this. Why would I wait 4 days to kill? Why would I help you guys try to lynch scum? Why would the invention only pinpoint me unless it was randomly done, considering mistaken isn't a skilled inventor?

There's too many questions, and I'm sure there's a surefire lynch out there. But I'm not it.

2. Why make yourself visible? Blend in, play the exact same way you have been.

3. Huge difference between a forensic kit and other abilities? Can't just outright say "This is the killer."

All viable points, but I think lynching someone, anyone, based on the results of a 3rd hand item is a stretch. Especially someone who, I believe, has proven quite useful to the town, despite my limitations. Hell, you even said you were surprised I wasn't dead yet. I've done nothing but try to help clean up Lakeside.

I still think Fool was trying to take out a scummie with it, or it was a backfired thought of protection. But I can understand the busdriver thinking.

Finally, what do we know about Actarus and Tha Black Phenom (Is Tha Black Phenom still alive, by the way?).

Actarus was a bookworm, who lost his book. It was stolen from him. And TBP is a wife, I think. Not sure what we know for certain on him.

Y'know, that's a good point. I also remember him being asked why he didn't seek out his missing wife, and his response had something to do with his role. It's quite possible he's our killer.

Understandable, and if you weren't, I'd actually worry. This game is set on paranoia. I just hope you're at least open to the option that it's possible Bear's trying to set me up. Or that it's possible that Mareo jumped on the chance to use what could very well be faulty equipment, as a chance to off one more soul.

It was about your miller claim. I thought someone else had put it on you, when Archer said that you weren't town. I forgot that you had mentioned it would make sense, considering. I wasn't sure if it was part of the role you'd used to your advantage, but you actually said something to the effect of "I could actually change my miller-ness, but it's a waste of a phase."

I'm not saying it's not possible, as he isn't about me. I just think we still have enough time to hear from others, such as the elusive preacher man, who got a result off a "dead man" night 8, and we were 1 kill short on night 7, when he was hypno-walked to the bomb.

Man, if you're town AND telling the truth, I'll admit defeat...

I could do juuust about anything with my role. With each came a MUCH lower chance of any of them happening though. Why make myself not a miller, and bulletproof, and have a 42.5% chance at one? The two don't combine to make it 85% chance I get something either. Would be completely separate rolls to see if one worked.

Kinda glad I couldn't get the PGOness. That woulda knocked out so many townies in the first few nights.

That last line was why I asked. MJ's gotten flavor text most of the time. What made us curious of Derek, as he was suspicious. I thought maybe the flavor text would entice a look-see. Why I asked.

Well, I got no flavor text last night...

Regardless, the "flavor" text is called that because it's supposed to be meaningless, only interesting "flavor".

The result is what I want to see, not what's extra.

But it's also given insight. Maybe not everytime, but sometimes, it's given a reason to suspect someone. I can understand why the choice was made, I was just curious, is all.

for clarification i am Lakeside Aligned Soul Saving Priest

I took over from aki on day 5 prior to my taking over aki only targeted one person on day one that was supposed to be midnight nick however he was swapped with arrows who he/I couldnt get a result on due to a burly body guard in the way since i took over her have been my targets, at 'sundown' on night 5 if any target comes up evil to me i try to kill them

Night 5 - derek_b Not evil
Night 6 - The archer Not Evil
Night 7 - Targetted imac but had a dream and wolk up with info on Machine/Lostrelms/foolinc saying he was lakeside alligned
Night 8 - This is the interesting one Bak42 Not Evil so it appears that only undead will come up evil to me or so i suppose
Night 9 - Imac Not Evil

and yes im well aware that bak42 died the night i investigated him, however it appears the mods gave me a result despite that

Are you SURE that you kill them if they're evil? Because to me "soul saving" and the bak result makes it look like you are the counter to the undead, to people with the virus etc. Though that conflicts with the idea of science behind the virus, and favours the magic behind grunt etc.

the pm i recived during 'sundown' of day 5 states that if i find someone 'evil' i will smite them down in the lords name

now as to what comes up evil to me i dont know but seemingly mafia and unaligned dont. im guessing that only zombies will but untill i 'smite' somebody i wont know for sure

Now I know your machine thing is malfunctioning. I don't do anything at night, thus, I don't target. My guess is someone did, maybe it's who iMac saved, with the theory Moe had that iMac listed last night's target. And your machine, built second hand, randomly selects someone. I'm not a targeter, and definitely not a killer. However, someone out there is.

Can't vouch for my machines. but Nothing in my pm's gives me to believe that I botch up the the things I find, until I am done with them (so one use only)

More to this point, do you remember what happened when mistaken tried to use the forensics kit? Nothing, `cause he ruined the kit. He's not a skilled inventor, it leaves room for flaw. I understand the theory, Bear, but the machine doesn't work as intended.

I got a list, as we have no previous lists we don't know whether or not the list was longer than it should have been.

bingo, not being a forensic investigator by trade, I probably would not know how to clean up the tools and use them again. though I have got to imagine as a grave digger i would be pretty comfortable with dead bodies.

I think Moe coming up town has dug a deep hole for arrows, even if he is town to try and dig out of.

I think Prophet has some splaining to do and holding onto his vanilla claim doesn't seem very wise. (unless it's the truth)

Hmmmm...same night as the first vehicle kill. Could be down to night 5-ness, or something from the day/night cycle before (of which gonvick would be the only viable one...he seemed strong, little fear etc).

So firstly this killer is male, ruling out a couple and leaving us with:

Knowing this, no one should doubt the machine's effectiveness. I busted Prophet in a lie. When IER thought Shape was the Joker, he stuck to his guns and he was right.

My research materials were "gone" on night 8. But look at the following for a moment: night 5 was the first vehicle kill, here:

Wild eyed, he raced back to the area he set up the closed circuit recording station. His recruit in tow, they arrived to see it pristine, untouched. Confused by what this meant, Orange-kun walked closer to the generator he used to power everything. He smelt smoke, but it wasn't from the generator. Turning fast he noticed the television he used to watch his own records smoking. Why, why would it start now, for -

CRASH!

The wall caved in, crushing Orange-kun, and pummeling his recruit slightly. The man behind the wheel of the bulldozer laughed as it ran out of gas and died.

"We've only just begun..."

Here's me the very same night being hired by Anti:

Another man was on the verge of an important discovery. He just needed a few more hours.

A woman entered the room, carrying a large wad of cash. The man looked at the money. Sure would be useful to have, if he managed to make it out Lakeside.

He took the money and walked away with the woman. His research could wait another night.

This is further supported by Anti's list a few pages ago. So that's that.

Mistaken, I want to be as clear as possible about this. The night you used your first invention, there’s no indication your result was screwy, just that it broke after you used it, correct?

Because if iMac targeted mjdgoldeneye (I don’t believe he ever stated who he explicitly targeted), then we have a scenario that makes sense. Incidentally, I don’t want this question to get lost in the shuffle, so I repeat (in sexy bold)

Yeah, I think he's someone who either had to maybe stick around for a while and turned SK night 5, indie from the start (maybe something to do with lprock?) or a townie gone bad due to a death. Latter is well, less crazy.

To me the track record on page one looks good but a lot depends on how the lost souls worked. If they could have become town, as I think is a possibility, we may be in dire straits.

If there was a means through which they could become town, then I get the feeling it would be down to the priest role. Even the role titles match.

I took over from aki on day 5 prior to my taking over aki only targeted one person on day one that was supposed to be midnight nick however he was swapped with arrows who he/I couldnt get a result on due to a burly body guard in the way since i took over her have been my targets, at 'sundown' on night 5 if any target comes up evil to me i try to kill them

That's not a spin. See, you saw "oh, Prophet did this" and dropped a vote. I said it's possible you're the one doing the kills, as the "evil-smiting" priest has yet to smite evil, that we know of. I didn't point and say "preacher's a killer!" I have no evidence of that, merely theory, as I've had the entire time. No target = no evidence. I only theorize on what I learn here.

Then again page one is a bit out of date. Last night hurt us a lot...

13 scum dead so far including unaligned. Likely 3 of those were recruited. So 10 at the start, but three of those were lost souls, so out of 40 players I'd expect 3 or 4 scum left. 10 straight up scum at the start, with recruit potential rife...that might still be a little steep.

generally its 1/4 to 1/3 non town to town taking into account indis/all non town groups, weather or not unaligned lost souls are taken into that in this game i dont know however if they are id say it would off been at the start

5-6 mafia
2-3 pack more likely 2 with a max recruitment level of 4
2 undead to start
2 unaligned

seemingly no indies unless in this game thats what the unaligned are

that gives around 11-13 to start, i think we have 3 mafia max left plus 1 guy whos turned SK on us

I remember making a guess that you'd only find evil in the zombies and whatnot when your role was first discussed, so I don't really see much problem with it. Unless the husband and wife reunited? I'm not saying that's what happened, but is it not possible? I am all for the cleaning of Lakeside, I just don't see how my death helps anyone. You kill a guy who doesn't do anything at night, and has done nothing but try to help during the day.

I think there's a logical explanation for the real killer, and focusing on me doesn't help us pursue the truth in this situation.

It would been impossible for us to 'reunite' as Rock hadn't died yet. There's no evidence of their being more than one person causing the vehicle deaths. There's always possibilities. My results could be flawed, but nothings proven it that way. Mistaken's abilities are a series of one-shots, which have all worked properly. Occum's Razor tells me I have you targeting MJD on a Night in which he almost died. That's why my vote stands.

With such chaos shrouding Moe and iMac yesterday, I knew they wouldn't be left alone. Arrows will always be the fallback lynch. I have a good idea of what you and Act do. Shape's untargetable. I didn't wanna get bricked 'n'all, so no TBP. It came down to Rev and Prophet. In a game where you can get chocolate with sprinkles, Neopolitian, and birthday cake, I didn't believe Vanilla was possible. He could have very definitely been masons, but no upgrade on Night 5? Didn't we all get at least something?

for a clean 1:4 ratio Actarus mentions, most likely around 10 or so of the remaining players are town (lets say +/- 1). ((Or 10 or players are not in the Mafia))

Of course, Actarus says "roughly 1:4)

So there could be 3 Mafia left.

Of the three Mafia deads so far, we've got I think 2 dead Mafia killers (with Bak replacing trenton as a killer after Trenton died) and Ck as a framer.

This leaves the Don, maybe a bodyguard, certainly another killer.

The killer, whatever his former task in the mafia, is required to kill now, meaning whatever ability they had or lied about having is gone.

That is just common sense.

You want to find the killer, find someone who cannot produce the same results they used to do.

For example, Mistaken.. he sends out abilities to others? Who has he given a one shot ability to since Bear, several phases ago?

Not that I am saying Mistaken is scum, just we need to start asking ourselves questions like that.

Well given that Imac confirms what we suspected, the scenario fits.

I am going on record as saying something about this almost feels too convenient... some parts of this game have been so misleading its natural for me to have my doubts.

I'll probably change my vote tomorrow if its needed.

One thing i would like to throw out there though... the town lost its vig last night.

Sometimes people suggest deals with an SK. I am not one of them, however, my experience in these games says you are pretty much good as dead.

If you do have a night kill ability there may be some who would be willing to strike a deal with you.

I count 16 lakeside aligned dead. 2 who started the game dead gives us 14

12 players remaining.. obviously some are scum.

for a clean 1:4 ratio Actarus mentions, most likely around 10 or so of the remaining players are town (lets say +/- 1). ((Or 10 or players are not in the Mafia))

Of course, Actarus says "roughly 1:4)

So there could be 3 Mafia left.

Of the three Mafia deads so far, we've got I think 2 dead Mafia killers (with Bak replacing trenton as a killer after Trenton died) and Ck as a framer.

This leaves the Don, maybe a bodyguard, certainly another killer.

The killer, whatever his former task in the mafia, is required to kill now, meaning whatever ability they had or lied about having is gone.

That is just common sense.

You want to find the killer, find someone who cannot produce the same results they used to do.

For example, Mistaken.. he sends out abilities to others? Who has he given a one shot ability to since Bear, several phases ago?

Not that I am saying Mistaken is scum, just we need to start asking ourselves questions like that.

As i responded to actarus before he revealed what had happened to him. and it remains true even after he revealed it...

I am a GRAVE ROBBER dead only!

and before some one says night 5 upgrade, yeah i got one, it was useless. it was a back pack, but since i can only target one person a night, and each thing i find is only useful once, I haven't found much need for a back pack.

I can not steal from the living. sorry, actarus floated that theory, but it's not in my bag of tricks.

My actions

Night 1- Hire Moe Hunter

Night 2- Targetted Bear for hiring apparently Grunt switched me with TBP My result was that I was lost and found no one

Night3- Hired Imarevenant (said he felt money was useless, but protected me anyway)

Night 4- Hire Bear. Hear bear fighting outside. Bear gets Silenced (moe claimed responibility for this)

I took over from aki on day 5 prior to my taking over aki only targeted one person on day one that was supposed to be midnight nick however he was swapped with arrows who he/I couldnt get a result on due to a burly body guard in the way since i took over her have been my targets, at 'sundown' on night 5 if any target comes up evil to me i try to kill them

Night 5 - derek_b Not evil
Night 6 - The archer Not Evil
Night 7 - Targetted imac but had a dream and wolk up with info on Machine/Lostrelms/foolinc saying he was lakeside alligned
Night 8 - This is the interesting one Bak42 Not Evil so it appears that only undead will come up evil to me or so i suppose

So, what have I done so far?

Night 1 Protected nZane... until Antithesis came along.

Night 2 Hid behind Trypio, successfully.

Night 3 Hid behind Trypio... and was beaten up by a Hypnotized MJD.

Night 4 Tried to Silence Antithesis, and ended up Silencing Bear.

Night 5 Hid behind The Rock 13 successfully. Was in the writeup. SHape tried to send me a poem, MJD tried to investigate me.

Night 6 Tried to kill Imarevenant with a shovel, but he was too ALPHA!

Night 7 Protected Bear (was hoping for some hint text but got none)

Night 8 Tried to Silence Arrows. It said that The Pack is still out there, and I was going to silence their message of hate. I was then promptly roleblocked by a cute woman who kept me talking.

...I find no flaws in your logic. If my actions to this point still make you think I am scum. then me being a trigger man would be a safe bet.

Why doesn't ANYONE take notes... I, in particular, have to list my targets twice a phase...

Night 1 - Sent by D_w_w, Antithesis is "not Lakeside Aligned", behavior seemed suspicious.

Night 2 - Sent by D_w_w, derek_b is "Lakeside Aligned", seemed fairly normal, didn't answer his door for whatever reason. Someone protected me.

Night 3 - Sent by Astil, tried to investigate blackphoenix, but something crazy happened that we determined was the hypnotism.

Night 4 - Sent by D_w_w, I found The Archer in a crumpled mess (by someone else's doing) and he came up "not Lakeside Aligned".

Night 5 - Sent by Astil, I couldn't find Moe.

Night 6 - Sent by Astil, another crazy happening when I tried to target bak42. I got my gun this night.

Night 7 - Sent by Astil, I was roleblocked by more shenanigans.

Night 8 - Sent by Astil, I just noticed a bit of detail I neglected to mention: Bear was hard to find, and he was doing things. That's as detailed as it gets. He is "not Lakeside Aligned".

Night 9 - iMac is "not Lakeside Aligned". No flavor text at all.

He sat alone. They ... Lakeside ... the Mafia ... the Pack ... the Undead ... they had all taken away what meant the most to him. Now he had nothing. Only his sense of vengeance pushed him forward. Tonight he would make a statement all of Lakeside would have to stand up and listen to.

The man walked the streets, eager to rid Lakeside of evil. He watched a man walk up the street. This man was no heretic, no abomination of nature. He would not feel the Wrath of God.

-

He shiftily slinked to his target. Some liked to steal from the living, but the dead made much less of a fuss. He found what looked like blueprints ... three of them! Happy to have found something, he returned home.

Nearby, a man watched and discovered that his services were not required tonight.

-

Another man was on the verge of an important discovery. He just needed a few more hours.

A woman entered the room, carrying a large wad of cash. The man looked at the money. Sure would be useful to have, if he managed to make it out Lakeside.

He took the money and walked away with the woman. His research could wait another night.

Looking out into the night, she sighed. She hoped that tonight would be more interesting, as ... well ... it couldn't get much more boring. Walking away from the hotel room she was ... borrowing, she looked both ways before crossing the street. A stupid habit, especially now with few cars roaming Lakeside.

From behind she heard him. She turned, excited to have someone to talk to. She could see the lightning in his eyes, and he hit her right between the eyes. Hit her right between the eyes.

Then he picked her up and walked away, nothing more to say.

The man was wired with explosives and ready to go. He picked his target and was ready to shadow him, hoping that the right set of circumstances would occur, allowing for maximum carnage.

He found his target and moved to stand near him, but he was too fast. Way too fast. Elsewhere, another watched, also hoping to get close this man. He too, failed.

Disappointed, the wired man looked down and found a piece of paper. Interesting, he thought to himself.

The televisions flickered on once more, this time in a Best Buy display window. The man walking by cared for no one but himself, however the more the television talked the more he like the future this man created. The television told him to stay put, and so he did.

-

Into the night again, with only the best of intentions in mind. Like some super hero he stayed in the darkness, watching... waiting... learning.

Everything that happened to this person was seen, and he went home feeling accomplished.

All the while a man stood guard, making sure no harm befell this one.

The big, nay, enormous man was hungry! He was oh so very hungry. But the boss wouldn't let him eat! Can't have any dinner until the chores were done.

The car was slowly moving up the street. His target was one of the few people in town with a working automobile. The enormous man waved the man down. The car slowed to a stop. A very official looking man rolled down the window. "What's up, buddy? Make it quick, I've got some business to handle."

The fat man waddled around the car. "I need your help! There are some guys down there in the alley, they're up to no good!" The fat man pointed down an alley. As Crychon turned his head to look down the alley, the disgusting fat man produced a small handgun and shot him in the side of the head.

Crychon slumped over to the side, dead.

Dragging her to his basement, he opened the door and shoved her in. What he did not expect was Lostrelms to get out. She started to run for her life, but something had happened over the last 5 days. She had thought ... she had reflected. All the people she had stepped on, made fun of, tormented. She was no better than this sick man. She saw the open night. She saw her own freedom.

She turned, fists clenched.

Two people were interested in this pansy of a man man tonight.

One was convinced that there was a story behind this man. The other was convinced that there was much that could be learned from him.

Unfortunately for both, this man was nowhere to be found.

Walking confidently towards his newest recruit, he offered his hand. They shook hands and nodded, allies now. As they turned to walk away a voice caught there attention.

"Don't be forgetting about me..."

His eyebrow raised. One of his toys had escaped, but now she had turned around. She rushed in, jumping at her once oppressor. He simply sidestepped, causing her to crash into the basement door. He moved in, but she rolled off the door onto the rocky surface. Picking up one of these rocks, she throw at the man. It sailed past. He strode towards her, maliciously. Quickly she grabbed another rock of the ground, and swung for his kneecaps. Pain shot up his body, and rage over took him. Stealing the rock away, he bludgeoned Lostrelms again and again. She had stood up and fought, but in the end it didn't even matter...

Wild eyed, he raced back to the area he set up the closed circuit recording station. His recruit in tow, they arrived to see it pristine, untouched. Confused by what this meant, Orange-kun walked closer to the generator he used to power everything. He smelt smoke, but it wasn't from the generator. Turning fast he noticed the television he used to watch his own records smoking. Why, why would it start now, for -

CRASH!

The wall caved in, crushing Orange-kun, and pummeling his recruit slightly. The man behind the wheel of the bulldozer laughed as it ran out of gas and died.

"We've only just begun..."

The fat man looked in the car. "Doritos!" He reached in and grabbed a bag of chips from inside the car. He had earned his dinner, and now had found some chips for dessert. It was definitely a good night.

Night Phase 2

Glad to be rid of a threat, Lakeside went into the night feeling great. How would they go into the morning?

Pretty good actually.

One man prepared to wreck havok. However, his job was extensive and required additional prepartions.

Another man had a rough night.

the rock 13 is silenced. He cannot talk in the thread.

Night Phase 3

They were ridding themselves of threats day after day. Surely this would make there nights easier, right?

He looked at the pair trapped below him.

"Welcome. There is no escape now. You are my pets."

They lunged at him, but he made it so they couldn't get out.

"Fight for me! Die for me!"

His laughter could be heard around the town.

-

He sat in his house. How the intruder got in was unbeknownst to him, but he knew he had no choice. He was tied, and dragged away.

-

Ready to serve, he walked past an old electronics store. Suddenly the televisions sprang to life. They spoke of such truth and reason that he joined their cause.

-

nZane is dead. He was Lakeside Aligned.
masterded is dead. He was Lakeside Aligned.
Arrows is missing.
Trypio is silenced.
Glotnot is silenced.
Moe Hunter is silenced.

Night 4

Moving on from the confusion of the Day Phase, Lakeside hoped the Night would bring answers...

He moved in on his target once more. Gonvick seemed ready for anything, and showed only a little fear at the knife being drawn. They readied themself for a scuffle when...

*BEEP*

Treton turned, confused. Finally it dawned on him.

"Oh, sh-"

The explosion rocked the entire area, taking out both of them.

Elsewhere a man looked distracted and bored. Luckily, the enemy of boredom came to him ... a television! The TV talked and talked and talked ...

-

He knew he was right.

"Die"

The bullet was true and hit his target right in the heart.

The Archer is silenced.

Night 5

"Standing together we are strong, and we must be. Remember, please, the 5th night. Stay -"

He sat alone. They ... Lakeside ... the Mafia ... the Pack ... the Undead ... they had all taken away what meant the most to him. Now he had nothing. Only his sense of vengeance pushed him forward. Tonight he would make a statement all of Lakeside would have to stand up and listen to.

-

The man walked the streets, eager to rid Lakeside of evil. He watched a man walk up the street. This man was no heretic, no abomination of nature. He would not feel the Wrath of God.

-

He shiftily slinked to his target. Some liked to steal from the living, but the dead made much less of a fuss. He found what looked like blueprints ... three of them! Happy to have found something, he returned home.

Nearby, a man watched and discovered that his services were not required tonight.

-

Another man was on the verge of an important discovery. He just needed a few more hours.

A woman entered the room, carrying a large wad of cash. The man looked at the money. Sure would be useful to have, if he managed to make it out Lakeside.

He took the money and walked away with the woman. His research could wait another night.

-

Looking out into the night, she sighed. She hoped that tonight would be more interesting, as ... well ... it couldn't get much more boring. Walking away from the hotel room she was ... borrowing, she looked both ways before crossing the street. A stupid habit, especially now with few cars roaming Lakeside.

From behind she heard him. She turned, excited to have someone to talk to. She could see the lightning in his eyes, and he hit her right between the eyes. Hit her right between the eyes.

Then he picked her up and walked away, nothing more to say.

-

The man was wired with explosives and ready to go. He picked his target and was ready to shadow him, hoping that the right set of circumstances would occur, allowing for maximum carnage.

He found his target and moved to stand near him, but he was too fast. Way too fast. Elsewhere, another watched, also hoping to get close this man. He too, failed.

Disappointed, the wired man looked down and found a piece of paper. Interesting, he thought to himself.

The televisions flickered on once more, this time in a Best Buy display window. The man walking by cared for no one but himself, however the more the television talked the more he like the future this man created. The television told him to stay put, and so he did.

-

Into the night again, with only the best of intentions in mind. Like some super hero he stayed in the darkness, watching... waiting... learning.

Everything that happened to this person was seen, and he went home feeling accomplished.

All the while a man stood guard, making sure no harm befell this one.

-

The big, nay, enormous man was hungry! He was oh so very hungry. But the boss wouldn't let him eat! Can't have any dinner until the chores were done.

The car was slowly moving up the street. His target was one of the few people in town with a working automobile. The enormous man waved the man down. The car slowed to a stop. A very official looking man rolled down the window. "What's up, buddy? Make it quick, I've got some business to handle."

The fat man waddled around the car. "I need your help! There are some guys down there in the alley, they're up to no good!" The fat man pointed down an alley. As Crychon turned his head to look down the alley, the disgusting fat man produced a small handgun and shot him in the side of the head.

Crychon slumped over to the side, dead.

Dragging her to his basement, he opened the door and shoved her in. What he did not expect was Lostrelms to get out. She started to run for her life, but something had happened over the last 5 days. She had thought ... she had reflected. All the people she had stepped on, made fun of, tormented. She was no better than this sick man. She saw the open night. She saw her own freedom.

She turned, fists clenched.

Two people were interested in this pansy of a man man tonight.

One was convinced that there was a story behind this man. The other was convinced that there was much that could be learned from him.

Unfortunately for both, this man was nowhere to be found.

-

Walking confidently towards his newest recruit, he offered his hand. They shook hands and nodded, allies now. As they turned to walk away a voice caught there attention.

"Don't be forgetting about me..."

-

His eyebrow raised. One of his toys had escaped, but now she had turned around. She rushed in, jumping at her once oppressor. He simply sidestepped, causing her to crash into the basement door. He moved in, but she rolled off the door onto the rocky surface. Picking up one of these rocks, she throw at the man. It sailed past. He strode towards her, maliciously. Quickly she grabbed another rock of the ground, and swung for his kneecaps. Pain shot up his body, and rage over took him. Stealing the rock away, he bludgeoned Lostrelms again and again. She had stood up and fought, but in the end it didn't even matter...

Wild eyed, he raced back to the area he set up the closed circuit recording station. His recruit in tow, they arrived to see it pristine, untouched. Confused by what this meant, Orange-kun walked closer to the generator he used to power everything. He smelt smoke, but it wasn't from the generator. Turning fast he noticed the television he used to watch his own records smoking. Why, why would it start now, for -

CRASH!

The wall caved in, crushing Orange-kun, and pummeling his recruit slightly. The man behind the wheel of the bulldozer laughed as it ran out of gas and died.

"We've only just begun..."

-

The fat man looked in the car. "Doritos!" He reached in and grabbed a bag of chips from inside the car. He had earned his dinner, and now had found some chips for dessert. It was definitely a good night.

Night 6

They had lynched one of there own for the first time. Were things starting to slip away for Lakeside, or was now the time for heros?

Once again he went out. This time his mind wasn't filled with sadistic thought, but thoughts from another. Just made it easier for the bullet to find the back of his head.

The engine revved and the eighteen wheeler lurched forward. It slammed into the busses, and the busses launched off of the fourth story of the parking garage. He stood no chance of avoiding a falling bus.

-

He only had good intentions, but she was on edge.

BOOM!

Best not to approach her...

He was confidently walking down the street when the other one attacked. He stabbed him in the stomach, but the confident man just looked confused, before passing out.

Night 7

He walked out looking to help Lakeside again. Someone was following him, but he would not get to complete his objective. When walking by a building, he failed to notice the smell of gas. He did notice the torch thrown at him, and the air igniting.

Elsewhere, this one had a new way of doing things. However, the target listened and joined the cause.

Night 8

He walked into the city again. Stalking, hunting almost. He needed dinner tonight. However ... it was not to be.

She wandered the night looking. Be careful what you wish for. A smooth orchestra tune filled the air as she entered. She noticed the floor was wet, but she never noticed the live wire set up in the corner.

-

Time to be a hero again... One shot was all that was needed to drop the large man.

Night 9

They had spent the day arguing. Would this lead to new information, or the end of Lakeside?

He set up, once again to help the city. Aiming carefully, he readied his shot...

Now was his chance! Running into the middle of the two he pressed down on the the button.

"Ready or not, here comes the -"

BOOM

He started the car, and began to drive. Seeing that his target was in danger, he pulled him out of the way before the car could trap him between a rock and a hard place. Rushing back, he was saddened that the killer got away.

He pulled out the gun and swiftly shot his target in the face. No chance for her to talk her way out of that.

They would've been without a kill until night 7 the way things happened, as that would've been my first night free. Not the case.

Shoulda said it before Halloween and spared us half-a-month of trouble. It's because of this factoid that I think Arrows will probably always make it to late in the game regardless of alignment. Next time, we lynch him Day 1.

The problem, agains, is the dark phase. And even stuff like Moe's last claim. Hell, I know I'm town, but even way back he called me hiring him "a bribe".. nothing Bear/Rev/ or Actarus have ever said they got.

So I dunno if he was town and fibbed a lil on people he didn't like, or if there is some unknown part about his role that allows the mods to mislead him a bit, or if his last clue was actually correct.

Just no way for me to know for sure.

One thing that does bother me... aside from myself, the only living people MJ's checked out were all involved in the car incident.

If prophet turns up to be lakeside aligned its possible it was all an elaborate ruse.

Now, I can't se myself following the game that way, but the possibility of it happening does bother me.

It's possible, but I've only ever seen it used as a Scum role, and Moe was revealed to be clean.

It wouldn't be the first time I've seen it happen, but it'd be surprising if that was the case. It's generally a scum role, as has been said. A fairly strong scum role, and one that I really think they have on their side, given the sheer power of the town in this game. If that was also a town ability, something's seriously wrong, or the scum are holding back big time and just waiting.

That's one way to look at it.

I could see it being used as a desperation stall too. Force the no lynch by saving Moe, and the town has to try it again the next day. It would give them two free days, a mislynch, and 2 free nights. That's three kills without any real pressure.

The gains outweigh the risk, though personally, I think Prophet's been more helpful than arrows.

TBH if the theory is Prophet is an individual, I guess the voting doesn't tell us much.

But personally I gotta look at it like this.

Mistaken says he gets blueprints from Nzane, and gives his one shot ability to Bear.

Bear says he uses it on Prophet and spots him targeting MJ

The write up indicates someone protecting someone else, Imac claims that him protecting MJ.. no one else in the damn game is claiming a protector role, so this pretty much fits.

Either several people are lying, the equipment is faulty, or prophet is lying.

When you add in risk vs reward prophet is the better choice.

Hmm, before the first vehicle kill it was suggested that someone had lost someone and was looking for night-5 triggered vengeance, so maybe he was avenging him. "We" could hint at further family connections, I guess.

Hey guys,

I see a lot of healthy discussion has gone down since yesterday. I wanted to let everyone know that I'm having home internet problems at the moment. Interestingly enough, I received a call from Comcast letting me know they were doing maintentance in my area, and all I needed to do was cycle the power. However, this trick didn't work this morning. I'm at my lab right now, not doing the work I should be doing, so this may be my only post today. For the record, I would have voted for Prophet. All the latest findings made sense and fit together well.

This is pure speculation, but if I was a betting man, I'd say when his brother was killed he became an unaligned SK. I also think that he COULDN'T make a deal with anyone. In the end, he HAD to go out and kill as much as possible to satisfy his own personal vengeance, blaming us all for his brother's death.

Sadly my noise made him run away and I couldn't see who it was. You'll remember when I saved mjdgoldeneye from the car last night that I didn't see who it was then either. I always seem to be able to protect but too slow to see who is attacking.
