I know we already have 2 NCAA Football 09 Dynasty leagues and right now, I'm involved in one of them, maybe two in the next day or two.

But I think this one could be interesting.

In this one,

You must pick a team ranked 100-120, you know your Idaho Vandals and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The team must be a mid-major team so no Baylor Bears are in this league.

Then we play to see who can become the first team to become the next Boise State Broncos.

So who's in?

How bout you pick the teams and then do a RNG to figure out who each person would control.

I'd probably be up for it as well. Or perhaps just a list of who those teams are so we can figure out who we have to pick from without to much effort. Or if I get bored at some point today, as it looks like this Tenn/Detroit game is going to make me, I'll try to piece one together.

I know Gardner and I might have some interest in the Akrons and Kent States... Yeah, sign me up for this if I can get Kent State- I like playing as Kent State because I appear in one of the 4 backgrounds.

Btw, with this one also added in, I'm in 5 online dynasties- 3 for Xbox 360 and 2 for PS3!

GardnerFTW

Just started a dynasty with no changes (other than the named roster set), 100-120 are as follows (prestige & overall in brackets):
100) Mid Tenn St
101) UL Monroe
102) Kent State
103) New Mexico
104) Western Michigan
105) Northern Illinois
106) SMU
107) Louisiana Tech
108) San Jose St
109) North Texas
110) Buffalo
111) Temple
112) Arkansas St
113) Eastern Michigan
114) Tulane
115) UL Layfayette
116) Army
117) Idaho
118) FIU
119) Utah State
120) Western Kentucky

Mr T, Akron #94, so I get screwed. Its ok, I'm in an all MAC dynasty already with Akron, so I can go elsewhere.

I'll go with UL Lafayette, unless we do random teams. I've always enjoyed the name Ragin' Cajuns, so I'll ride with them.

The Battle for the Wagon Wheel is huge. I am disappointed to see the Rubber Bowl go though, although the new stadium on campus at Akron looks like its going to be very nice.

Random is fine with me as well, if that's the route we want to go.

I wanted to play as the Idaho Vandals so I could become another WAC team to embark on a mission to make a BCS Bowl Game and tie the game against Oklahoma on a Hook and Ladder play, then beat them with a two point conversion with the Statue of Liberty play.

But I wouldn't mind if we had random teams.

Yeah, the Rubber Bowl was a big part of Akron and a cool stadium. Way better than Dix Field, which isn't even as good as high schools in the area like McKinley or Massillon's stadiums. The Battle for the Wagon Wheel is always a great game, I had to miss it for the 2nd (Maybe even 3rd?) time in a row this year but I'd like to make it to 1 more before I inevitably relocate.

Good old Dix Stadium. I went there on a recruiting trip in high school. One of my good friends was being recruited by Kent State, so me and another friend tagged along on his recruiting trip. It was quite amazing how little the coaches knew of who they were recruiting. They apparently believed me and the other non-football player were also recruits, of course we never told them otherwise, so we got the same treatment. In the locker room at halftime and pre-game, on the field passes for a game vs. Navy, free food, it was a good day. I pretended to be a kicker for some reason.

From what I gather from my friend it was the worst of him recruiting trips, but I enjoyed it. Best apparently being Syracuse. And with scholarship offers from Kent, Syracuse and one or two other schools, he decided that he didn't want to play football and went to Ohio Northern (D-3) for track.

Probably the easiest way would be to use a random number generator
http://www.mathgoodies.com/calculators/random_no_custom.html

Just put together the list of who is in. Go down the list and run the generator, put the lower limit as 0 (Team ranked #100) and upper limit at 20 (Team ranked #120). Hit enter. Whatever number comes up is what ranked team the user gets. Match it to the list I posted earlier. If you get a duplicate number, run it again, or just give the next available team on the list, either or should work.

Either than or put all the team names on a piece of paper and draw out of a hat.

1/13/08- Eastern Michigan University comes to terms with new head coach
The Eastern Michigan Eagles' search for a coach ended today, as the long-suffering program signed virtual no-name R. Lee Norton.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t22/earlbreese/coachnorton1.jpg

Norton is a former high school coach whose only brush with national recognition was related to the incident which got him fired from Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Illinois. Norton assaulted one of his own players with a clipboard for running out of bounds, and proceeded to throw him into the gatorade cooler.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t22/earlbreese/coachnorton4.jpg

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t22/earlbreese/coachnorton7.jpg

While Eastern Michigan's decision to hire Norton- who posted a 5-14 record in his 2 years at Wheaton- is questionable at best, Norton has already made a statement regarding his hiring: "I'm going to whip these sons of bitches into shape."

The FIU Panthers walk into Norman, Kansas and come within 13 yards of knocking off the 15th ranked Jayhawks. The first half was a defensive struggle, with both teams being unable to move the ball. Kansas went into the half with a 6-0 lead. FIU started the second half with a tremendous clock-sucking drive that ended with a score and a 7-6 lead. It was short-lived however, as Kansas took the ensuing kickoff all the way for the TD, but came up short on the two-point conversion to reclaim the lead at 12-7. Defense came up strong again until late in the fourth quarter. Kansas was on the verge of putting the game away, but an amazing INT at the FIU 10 yard line gave the Panthers a last shot. With no timeouts left, FIU drove all the way down to the KU 13 yard line. With four seconds left, Wayne Younger drops back and has a man open in the endzone. But a tremendous swat by the Jayhawks seal the deal and ruins the Panthers hopes. Still, Florida International can walk away from this game knowing that they were THAT close to pulling this off!

What a way to start the year. #16 Auburn falls victim to an early season upset as Louisiana-Monroe roles into Jordan-Hare Stadium and defeats the Tigers 48-41. Senior QB, Steve Barron, led his Warhawks on a game winning drive in the last minute of the game. Barron threw his final of 3 TD's to DJ Collins to clinch the game.

It was an up and down game for Barron, who threw 3 INT's to match his TD's. But overall a stellar performance against a BCS School. Barrow went 36 of 50 for 429 yards in the season opener.

ULM continues on its SEC Tour De Force, upsetting Arkansas in Fayetteville. Barron (1 Passing TD, 2 Rushing TD's, and 2 INT's) wasn't the big star this week however, that accolade goes to the Warhawks Defense and Special Teams. Cornerback Lamar Hines ran back a Kickoff following the Razorback's first score. He followed up that performance by picking off Kendall Poland on the next drive. Hines wasn't the only power player on D as Senior Defensive End Kyle Hill racked up 3 of the Hawks 7 Sacks on the day. Final score, ULM 31, Ark 18.

Next week the Warhawks have their home opener against a Playoff Subdivision team.

What a game, what a game.

A showdown in Kansas was one nobody wanted to miss.

The battle between Kansas and Louisana Tech.

The game was tight in the first quarter tied at 3.

Then two costly turnovers by Tech led to two Kansas touchdowns before halftime making the score 17-3.

Tech got the ball back and marched down the field and a 12-yard touchdown pass to Pitt made the score 17-10.

Kansas answered immediately and a 39-yard pass to one of their recievers made the score 24-10.

On the ensuing kickoff, Spence ran the ball 86 yards down the field ending the 3rd period 24-17.

The heat picked up in the fourth quarter.

We go to the fourth quarter, Tech has the ball at their own 27 yard line with 3:23 left in the game. With precision passing, Tech marched the field eating up the clock. However, with 59 seconds left, we plowed into the endzone tying the score at 24-24 but did we score too late?

Unfortunately, we did.

Kansas went down to our 37-yard field goal but their drive stalled. With 10 seconds left in the game, their kicker, who missed two straight kicks of 28 and 31 dug deep and somehow drilled a 54-yard field goal to give Kansas a 27-24 lead with only 7 seconds left.

The game was over.

But wait, NO IT WASN'T!!!

Louisana Tech standout Wide Reciever Byers caught the ball at his own 12-yard line and the rest was history. With tremendous blocking and elusiveness, Byers ran the field for a touchdown with no time left on the clock.

Sorry it's taken this long to finally advance a week.

My nephews came over last week when I wasn't home and started playing my NCAA FB game.

They're only 5 and 3 so they were a bit careless and left my home on the ground and allowed my 1 year old niece to step on it and left heavy stratches.
