I thought since their are like tv networks and things like acting skills maybe there could be a game based on Television and Films and the wrestlers could be converted into actors.

Been discussed several times and I'm very much for it. Had a guy on here back in the spring who was going to work on a soap opera simulator that worked like you describe. Did a little alpha testing on the early framework for it. But it never went anywhere. The market could really do with a quality TV sim.

I like HM3 alot (love HM2 though), but I feel there could definitely be a market for another movie sim. There's alot that could be done to improve the game.

So far. But I could imagine them going outside that box if the right programmer presented himself

I need more insparation. my wife came back and I just lost the will to work on the soap opera game. Man I got mad respect for Adam. I have completed my own BS projects before, but programming something others could use, was turning more into work than fun.

maybe when I am done helping Astil I will take another crack at it.

But a good quality game from some one actually doing it as a job WOULD be cool.:D

personally, I had trouble understanding HM3, but i'm sure with GDS creating a game like this, would make it much easier to play, as the games are very simple, but addictive in the long run

That would indeed be cool. I've always considered a game with a greater perspective. An all-out entertainment game where you can sign people as mainly people, and not wrestlers or fighters or commentators, and activate them in your 'promotion' in diverse ways, respectful to their talents. But it'd require a lot of work to encompass all the skills that should be in the game etc.

What might be easier is to create an Olympics manager. That COULD actually be realised in the future, plus it's never been done before. You could scout for talent in diverse clubs across the coutry and find people with diverse skills, and train them with a specific sport in mind, then try to win as many medals as possible. I would totally mark out for a game like that. You could reduce all sports to certain skills that contribute to success in it. The game will also have to contain every Olympic sport's world championship and major tournament etc. Lots of people might buy the game since the Olympics are kinda... big. It could contain teambuilding, training camps, international friendly matches, etc. Sports can go on to be bigger because they bring forward huge stars like Bolt and Phelps.

I would definately see potential in a game like this. It sticks closely to greydog's 'sports' theme, and at the same time can reach out to a global audience. It's a formula for success, I tells ya!!! :D
