In-season recruiting is well done in NCAA 2006. your allow up to 12 recruits to target and assign points each week that you are still interest in. it shows what your needs are. it doesnt take long to do it each week during the season.

i hope BB can still do it like that.

NCAA 2006 recruiting is crap. BBCF wont have it and I can get over it for year one. What I dont like is the fact that the roster sizes are smaller :(

There will be no inseason allocation of points for recruiting. In-season will consist of monitoring interested players and seeing how they perform in HS/JC. Then, you can use the combination of rankings, performance and interest level to help setup target lists for the recruiting phase in the offseason. Your performance on the field will impact recruit interest as well.

Considering one of the things in recruiting in NCAA 06 is that if you lose out on a targeted player, you're screwed as you can't replace him on your list, I think we all don't want that kind of recruiting in BBCF. (This is based on a game review so it might have changed via a patch.)

My brother has the game. I dont have it because I only have time for one game and it is BBCF. NCAA 06 in season recruiting is garbage. I played Notre Dame for one season and was allowed to recruit 12 players. Once a player decides to go somewhere else you cant recruit another player. You ONLY get a list of 12. On top of that I couldnt even bring them on campus until the end of the year, when I had Syracuse, Navy and some other crappy team on the schedule. I wanted to invite them in when I whipped USC, but I couldnt do it.

(This is based on a game review so it might have changed via a patch.)It's a console game, so no patches.

I think NCAA 2006 tried to do a good job with in season recruiting. They tried to give the weaker programs an opportunity to get some five star recruits. If you select 12 players to recruit at the start of the season and than allocate 50 points a piece on ONLY two five star recruits after the first week, the odds are that you will get them in the end. Don't spread your points out on all 12 players, you will lose out on a lot of them.

At first I disagreed with Arlie on his decision to take out in season recruiting but I see now that this was the right thing to do, especially for on line leagues. It will be nice just to follow your recruits during the season and than go after them all at one time during the off season.

I know it is not real but it will be for the best.

Sounds good to me .... Now the debate will center on length of recruiting, whether recruits will be able to change their minds , acad. qualifing, off-field problems, --- did a major booster give a gift not allowed and the "NCAA" rules that the player can not play at the school.

Arlie , you do a good job on these games.
