He was on his way out. Had Kong hit him that night, he would've died. No need for any more of us to die if he'd already met his condition, especially if helping us would make him safer too.
Did he know something that stopped widow from being Kong, or did he know something that stopped widow from being red? :/
Either way, I don't understand how his relaying this information would make him safer. Can I get a quote of where he said this? Because y'know, if he said it last night, then. Yeah. :/
Sure, and letting Kong roam around the southern part of the map where we all HAVE to go. That's gonna work REALLY well for us.
Oi, mate, for all you know, someone's win condition requires them to go to one of the northern regions; maybe someone's looking for a dog in Central Park. I don't know. Point is, you don't either.
You know your win condition. That's it. So moving a giant monster randomly around the map could help everyone, or it could really really really screw one guy over. Personally, I don't have to go north, and I never plan to do it. But y'know, the point of me is to protect people from the giant monsters.
C'mon. The Northern part of the map has NO exits to speak of. So that leaves two options: 1) Anti added them for the fun of it, 2) They actually serve some kind of purpose. If they serve an actual purpose, then uh, it may or may not be in someone's best interest to flood them with giant ****ing monsters.
Waste of time? Keeping ALL of us safe to exit is a waste of time?
Ummmm. How does it really keep us safe again?
Does Kong die?
Hahahaha...no.
Does it immobilize him?
Mmm...He can still move.
Does it hamper his movement?
Kind of...but there is the crazy lady who was up there when Clover and Godzilla duked it out, so, y'know.
Look. You voted to lynch widow once.
And the only reason you haven't voted for him in the past...four day phases, is because derek said he had a good feeling? Derek didn't even say it four phases ago, unless I'm greatly mistaken. AND he was what is for this game essentially scum!
I really can't believe I'm the only one who thinks it's dumb that we went from "Lynch Widowmaker!" to "He's okay in my book!"
What has he DONE in the past eight phases that allows him to stay in the game?

Argh.
This lynch was stupid! >.<
So we move him! That's great! Meanwhile, there's probably a few reds still running around.
So far, both Carl Denham and Patrick Bateman have had kill abilities; neither were monsters! And, you know, it was actually possible within the game's mechanics for us to get rid of them!
THOSE are the people we should be using our lynches on! Guys, think about it!
How do we get rid of red's?
1) Sacrificing them.
2) Having a monster randomly kill them.
Well, by lynching a monster, we DON'T put up a sacrifice, we make it LESS likely that a monster will kill a red since I would bet only a few people have to go north for any reason, AND we STILL don't kill the monster!
Lose/Lose/Lose!
We can get rid of red people; we CAN'T get rid of monsters!
Of which there are two anyway! Sure, Clover may not need to kill any more people (for now). But what's to stop him from doing it just for ****ing fun.
"Hey Clover, stop killing people." "Rawr (No.)" "TEHN WE WILLZ LYNCH U!" "Rawr. (Hahaha. Go ahead.)" *Clover gets moved to Central Park* *Stomp, stomp, stomp*
Oh, and look at that, Clover's in East Village now. He just crossed half the board and laid parasites down in every location in between. Yes, lynching him did SOOOOO much to stop his kill streak.
At the very most to stop monsters, we could lynch Kong every, single, day. And you know what that would accomplish for us? Clover would beat him. That's it. Because at that point, the ONLY way we can kill red people is via Clover. And Clover leaves parasites that kill EVERYONE. If we were going to use anyone as a pseudo-vig, logically it should be Kong, except that Clover can move half the board in one night.
This game was DESIGNED so that we COULD NOT, read, COULD NOT, use EITHER MONSTER as an individually-aligned Town Vig.
Lynching monsters does NOTHING but COMPLETELY HALT OUR PROGRESS on killing the non-innocent/murderers/psychopaths/thieves/etc.

Hence i didn't fake claim. I have learned that no matter what you say, people will go with what they want. I didn't fight it because there was no point. They see monster and run. I have only killed 3 people and i have only gone after the sacrifices. So for now they have people running around killing and im here on the side.

My earlier point remains though, that it's still pointless to even attempt to stop the monsters through lynch.

I would have changed my vote sooner had I come on. Glot makes a good point in which everyone should and probably will play their roles. That means we can't rely on any of the giants to do as we ask.
I can rely on Glot to maybe tell us where we can be safe this hour, right?

Blargh, my point had very little to do with crazy lady!
Clover/Kong CAN'T be kept up there, god damnit! Kong, maybe, if we lynch him every day!
If we lynch him EVERY DAY.
And that STILL gives Clover free reign! And you know, he has free reign even if we do lynch him!
Do you not get that? There are bigger priorities then people that WE CAN'T KILL.
You know. The people we CAN kill!
And you know how we kill people in this game? By offering them...TO THE MONSTERS.
I'd rather offer up actual threats then gain a COMPLETELY FALSE sense of security by moving ONE monster to a position where they could STILL potentially kill innocents!

We keep Kong. Clover's got the lead. Why risk pissing us off and having us lynch him when he can hold onto his lead, us hold Kong WAY up there away from the exits, and be safe from BOTH F'N MONSTERS. It's in Lib's best interest to NOT **** with us at this point, because we could very easily throw him up there and give Kong free reign instead, and allow him to take the advantage.
You show me another person you think we need to take care of though. Be my guest. What proof do you have that widow has done ANYTHING?
I'd prefer anywhere in the bottom 8 areas (I can reach any of them on the board, thus why I was able to get from Central Park to Gramrcy in one night.)
Both sides of this argument have valid points, but Glot's ability can buy anyone the second night needed to move both monsters up. It because of this that if Glot wants to give Widow another flagpoling, I'm willing to approve.

Oh, yeah. That's a threat.
"Clover, you've been bad. From now on, you only have free reign on everything ABOVE Greenwich/East Village. Kong has free reign on everything below that. Basically what we're telling you is, you can now only attack 10 of the 16 locations, leaving parasites in 2 as you walk through them, maybe three if you count your start location, and just eating whoever's in the one you land...wait. Suddenly I don't think this plan was such a good idea..."
Clover is soooooo screwed if we lynch him, let me tell you.
He could kill us, for fun, and as a safety precaution, and we couldn't do a god damn thing.
Our situation is exactly the same as it was BEFORE we figured out the monsters were being played by players.
We STILL can't do anything to them.
Putting Kong up there, oh my god, we make sure a freakish sea creature is the one killing us instead of a giant monkey. Woooohoooooo. *waves flag*
Do you not understand that he has absolutely no reason to listen to you? I know I wouldn't. If it was me, I'd be having the time of my life. I'd be waving it in your face that you couldn't do **** to me, and I'd be killing all of you just to prove it, and for daring to try and tell the guy who's both unlynchable and has a kill ability what to do.
However, for the sake of argument, let's say Clover DOES, for some UNKNOWN reason, actually decides to listen to you, and stays away from all the people...
Where the do you exactly plan on doing from there.
"Well, Kong's tied up there in Central Park and Clover's sitting by himself in Lower Manhattan, so nobody's dying at night. Also, since we're using every day phase to KEEP Kong tied up at Central Park, we can't offer any sacrifices. Oh, wait. I guess that means the red's have free reign, since ALL OF OUR PROTECTORS ARE DESIGNED TO STOP MONSTERS AND NOT HUMANS..."
Why am I going after widow?
Because we lynched him once.
YOU, Arrows, were one of the voters.
He HAS NOT SPOKEN since that time.
EIGHT PHASES AGO.
So what the **** is he doing at night.
He's conveniently dropped off the radar, and he's running with that. I can't say I blame him. If he was really innocent, you don't think that he'd, maybe, have said SOMETHING or given us SOME KIND of information?
He claimed GREEN PROTECTOR. Y'know. The thing me and Godzilla already do? Where's he been in the write-ups? Why hasn't he been asking people where they need him to go, as a protector?
Because he was BULL****TING! You didn't believe him then, why the hell do you believe him now?

We can keep Kong away from SEVERAL innocent people, and all we have to do is let one person, who we have NO clue about, but who hasn't seemed to be doing ANYTHING threatening to any of us, run free.

The beast had just finished tearing his prey apart when the tanks come.
Immediately they opened fire, firing on the beast relentlessly. Smaller than the monstrosity, the EDF thought they'd be able to destroy the beast. But they hadn't counted on how quick the ape was. Shell after shell was dodged, the beast bounding through trees and over bridges. Quick, the army never had a chance to stop the creature, instead settling with driving him into the Upper East Side.

You're NOT getting it Glot.
Is there something in your win condition that leads you to believe you need someone else dead?
My condition, now, is to get OUT of this place. That's what I'm trying to do. Putting Kong at the top of the map, makes that trip SIGNIFICANTLY easier for me.
I'm not TRYING to kill Kong. I'm just trying to keep him UP THERE.
If you have ANYTHING that truly points at us NEEDING to take out Widow, be my guest to present it, and I'll take it into consideration.
*I* don't need him dead. I don't care if he's red, black, gold, white, orange, blue, green, rainbow, pretty, ugly, or clear. I honestly could care less. I care about the exit, and the guy I KNOW can kill me, being as far as possible away from said exit.

I would say exactly what I think of you at this point, but I won't. How were you to know.
I have not been active, first because of work. But for the last two weeks I have been in Ohio with my father who suffered a heart attack. We have been sitting with him around the clock. Sadly he passed on Thursday morning. We buried him this morning. I have to head back to NC on Tuesday as I have a important presentation to do on Friday. It is needless to say that my heart will be elsewhere. Then I will return to Ohio to continue to try and get my father's affairs in order.
Sorry for my inactivity. But as you can see my attention was needed elsewhere. I would address the game issues, but to be honest I don't have the drive to do so. All I will say is that I told the truth. I'll leave it at that in case Rev wants to replace me.
Sorry about the ****storm, Widow. Good luck on everything, alright?

Just to let you guys know, the furthest MLT and I can reach are Greenwich and East Villages. It is probable that at least one monster will be in either or these places. I strongly suggest that Glotnot (if he can use his power) be in East, while Prophet go to Greenwich. I was thinking I'd be in Chelsea, if only because I haven't been there yet.

I was under the assumption that Kong could only move one space at a time.
If he can move three like you, then that makes attempting to lynch either of you even more pointless. :/

But maybe that's just me, since the fewer scum there is, the fewer there will be hindering the innocents.

I don't even want to lynch him until he's well enough to play the game, which I don't expect him to be anytime soon anyway. I'd earther he got replaced, honestly. :/
As for themonsters, well, not all of the exits are in that bottom six. And Clover still kills in any location that he or his parasites land in, which means multiple attacks per night in that bottom area if he so chooses, and not much could be done about it. Logically we should be givging Kong the bigger leash, but he has only slightly more reason to not care about what we say since he's losing.

So you know about an exit that we don't?
Both exits are in the bottom part of the map. Clover betraying us could cost him the lead. He does so, we switch who we send up there. Then he screws himself out of his pretty much guaranteed win.
Clover'll play ball and stay up top. Means we can keep Kong up there, and have both known exits completely safe for escapes.
How doesn't this make sense?

I was fairly certain some northern exits remained, but I haven't checked the reports lately.
Furthermore, Clover betrays - we put him up top - Kong goes free and Clover loses lead.
He loses this lead because Kong is killing everyone.
How exactly does this make anyone safe, again? How is it even remotely effective?

Why would Clover give up the lead? Right now, by sitting up top, he can win. WHY mess that up, and take a chance on losing? As long as we sac Kong, Clover wins. There's NO reason to kill anyone else and have us start throwing HIM up there because he betrayed his word.

So what you're saying is, then, that Clover should completely disregard EVERYTHING you say because he is a beast of unstoppable force that could easily destroy you, and you're nothing then a pathetic human who can't stop him even with your almighty 'threat' that in reality wouldn't do anything at all?
So not only are you saying he should do exactly what it is I've been saying he'll probably do, but you're ALSO saying it's a RULE that he does it.
And you're arguing with me that he won't do it, even though you're telling him to? Hmm. That seems hypocritical.

I'm aware it's not all about my ability.
If I didn't give a **** about any of you, I'd go, and I'd hide, and I wouldn't tell anyone where I was, and I'd wait until all innocents were dead so I could leave. The fact that I'm actually trying to ****ing help people should say I'm not considering solely my own role.
But how many people are above that line right now? Right now Arrows. Tell me. Gogogo.
You reasonably can't. My personal bet is the majority, all things considered, since it's the majority of land.
I mean, I don't know how many phases ago we all started running South, but the night Derek escaped (I'm starting to get confused on how many ago that was, but the first post leads me to believe it was 'one', though I think it was actually two), there was me and multiple people hiding in the sewer at Gramercy. 'People' could be referring to just me and Bear, but to me sounded like possibly one or two more then that. If it's been two nights since then, then yeah, they're probably below the line. Personally, I'm not, but hey.
Not to mention that there are people, remember, who have been going off randomly, I.E. Zoolander and Crazy Lady. We don't really know if there are or aren't any more like that. I don't, anyway. Do you?
My role is "get the ****ing innocents off the ****ing island."
People haven't always been going with the crowd, and I'm assuming at least some are innocents, maybe all if you're really sure all the non-innocents are dead.
But, me, I DON'T know there are no non-innocents left. And you know, for me, having non-innocents dead is a good thing, because that's one less person heckling my innocents. So when I think someone's lying, and when at one point, EVERYONE thought this person was lying, I saw absolutely no reason for this person to NOT be lynched since no one had expressed public reasoning for why they were no longer lynch-worthy.
I mean seriously. Do YOU know something you're not telling?
Where everyone's at, what everyone's goals are, how many innocents there were when the game began?
For the record, I didn't say it doesn't help Clover to have Kong tied off. It's a very minor threat, but it still helps him. However, Petrija said it was a rule to play your role, to the extent that, through no apparent mechanic of her role, she said she would rather deal with people then monsters solely because her character was human.
Well, in that reasoning, because Prophet's character is a monster, he wouldn't listen to the humans because they fired guns at him. Also they're smaller, much less intimidating, and sent a giant lizard after him.

He picked himself up off the street his knees still hurting. Relieved that the mugging would prove only a minor setback. He could see the exit before him, it was time to leave. There was no one left in the city that could use his help.
...................
He could hear the monstrosity in the distance. He was close, but not close enough to get to him, he thought. He picked up the radio, and called in for a status report. There was nothing but static. Just as he thought, he’d have to wait for them to contact him. It seemed backwards, but that’s how the EDF worked sometimes.
He was still fiddling with the radio when the creature jumped him. It hit him hard, he could hear the crunch of his rib cage as the parasite landed on top of him. Trying to push the creature off him, he could see the massive mandibles opening wide ready to take a bite out of his flesh. He barely got his arm between the parasites jaws and his head when the creature clamped down. Pain shot through his arm as he thrashed around.
Somehow, admist the chaos, the parasite was thrown off of him allowing the man to scramble to his feet. His left arm dripping blood, he reached back with the right and unsheathed the katana. The parasite rushed him but at the last second the man sidestepped the attack and swung down hard with the blade, slicing the creature in two.
He studied the parasite for a couple minutes while bandaging his arm. Finally, he called in on the radio again, hoping someone would offer him some help.

Glot has to think long term because he can't leave if widow is innocent. Don't take it personally because this is mafia and if you're not fighting, you're not doing something right. :D
Selfishly, bouncing monsters north is best ... unless someone desperately needs to be up there still. I lose one more scrawny, and I lose. (If my math is right, which is rare. :p)
Zilla, even if you get depressed about us squishies dying, you won't leave, right? The last last thing we need is the giant lizard sulking and trudging back to the depths.

Look, widow can't play right now, and that's entirely understandable.
But since he can't, he either needs to get replaced or be killed.
Call me a cold, heartless bastard, but if he's not playing and he's not being replaced, by god, I'm assuming he's doing ****ing something.
If he's non-innocent, this is a really good idea.
If he's innocent, well, I can't win with him just sitting around anyway.

Prophet has one squishie life left. I don't think both of them are going to win. Bak winning is kind of an off chance as it is, 'specially with the no lynch.
Out of curiosity, what's your win condition, Arrows?
And before I get to far South, is there ANYONE still above the line that would require my protection. I'm in Gramercy. At the moment, I can protect just about anyone. If you're in any of the three northernmost territories, you can move down and I can move up; if you're in the row below that, you can move to me and I can stay still; and if you're in Chelsea or Gramercy, I can move with you.
Not that it particularly matters tonight, but...hell, even if you're in Soho/Little Italy/Lower East Side and can't escape yet and so want protection, you can move up and I'll go down.

4:00 AM, March 5
He didnt have much time, this he knew. He wandered to the edge of the darkness, knowing he could leave now and have a fighting chance of finding help. But that wasnt his way he would help, even in this limited capacity, anyway he could. He unsheathed his sword and continued to stare into the darkness when he felt the hands of another clamp down on his shoulder.
Hey man, you need to get out of here. Its coming this way.
He turned and saw two men, out of breath and more than a little scared.
Whats coming this way?
The young man stared at the crazed sword willing person before him and winced at the sight of his arm.
Sir, from the looks of it, you know exactly whats gone on around here tonight.
The man smirked, asking Which one? as he began to walk past the two men, katana in hand.
The ape! You should come with us, you like you need help.
He called back over his shoulder, Run, and dont stop until you see the daylight.
He was still in the city, filming, it was his self appointed duty. He had already filmed the creatures fighting amongst themselves, but for some reason continued to stay in the city. He stumbled along Times Square tripping over the rubble strewn along the roadway, to preoccupied with the display on his camera monitor.
The Monstrosity was before him, crashing through buildings. He thought he was hidden but he couldnt have been more wrong. The creature turned, roaring into the camera. Finally realizing the danger he was in, the man swiftly back peddled; but caught his foot in the rubble. He knew it was over, but then something completely unexpected happened.
Another, calmly walked into the roadway, about 50 yards from the monstrosity. A small man, he wore a white lab coat and carried a contraption, nearly half his size. He glanced at the fallen cameraman, nodded, and swiftly turned his attention to the monstrosity. Gripping the contraption tightly, he aimed the device at the creature.
And then, he fired.
A large beam singed the air and hit the creature directly in the face. Although the firing of the device took mere seconds, it was obvious the power of the mechanism was enough to blow the entire city off the map.
The recoil sent the scientist flying back and fallen cameraman yelped as he could feel the heat from the beam singe his skin.
Both men were surprised to see the damage the device caused to the monstrosity, the scaly hide of its face began to crack and bleed. The monstrosity squealed in horror, obviously never feeling such pain its short life.
The scientist scrambled to his feet attempting to ready the device to fire a second time, but as he did the monstrosity turned and fled from the area. Quickly the scientist lifted the device once more and hurried after the monster, leaving the other man sitting there alone, completely astonished.
The man waked sword in hand toward the sound of the destruction taking place in the area. He could hear the beast thrashing about, grunting, and roaring as he continued his reign of terror. His life about to end abrubtly, he wanted to go down with a fight.
He spotted the beast, and began a slow job toward the monster. The beast looked up, hearing the mans footsteps and roared in defiance. Quickly the beast was in the air, about to bounce on the injured man.
But then, a stream of fire flew through the air, hitting the beast in the chest, knocking the ape clean out of the sky. The ape landed hard on the roof of a parked SUV, completely crushing the vehicle underneath its weight.
As the beast lay there, the injured man ran up, scaling the beast and slashed at the ape leaving a bright red gash in the center of the beasts chest. The beast swung wildly as the man dove off the ape taking cover in an alleyway. The beast rose, searching for the man, but before he could spot him, the giant lizard hit the ape hard with a shoulder tackle forcing the ape to the ground once more.
As the beast struggled to get to his feet the lizard tensed, his eyes bloodshot, the fins upon its back emanating an intense blue glow. As the beast stood the lizard shrieked and fired the atomic blue ray from its mouth, hitting the ape directly in its wounded chest.
The force of the blow sending the beast careening through the air, leaving a large crater in the road as it crashed down through the street. And still it tried to rise, although this time, he only managed to get up on one knee before falling to the ground again.
The Ape was down, and the lizard let loose with a triumphant roar.

He sat, bleeding, waiting for survivors to enter the area so that he could lead them to safety. On the brink of death it was all he could do.
The monstrosity staggered into the area, its face still smoldering from its encounter with the scientist. Wailing as it thrashed along the street, its focus no longer on destruction, the monstrosity didnt even notice the giant lizard enter the area.
As the monstrosity was preoccupied the scales on the lizards back began to glow.
At full power the lizard shrieked and fired the atomic ray straight at the creature, hitting it square in the chest. The monstrosity wailed and nearly fell the ground. Shaky the creature tried to move forward toward its attacker, when another ray struck it in the leg, forcing the monstrosity to its knees. And still it tried to stand. But the onslaught continued, ray after ray striking the monster on its chest and face. Already weakened the creature had no chance; it slumped to the ground defeated, as the lizard stomped off in triumph.

Not sure why Glot's not cleared to leave, to be honest, and can't figure out why the King and Widow are still in town. If the King's already got his pictures and has been greenlit to leave, and hasn't, and Bak dies, killing my win condition with it, I'ma be tweaked.

The General picked up the phone.
"Captain Douglas. This is command. How is the situation."
"Sir. There are still people on the island."
"Yes we know. However, things are beginning to get out of our control. It's time. Operation Hammerdown will commence. You have 3 hours Captain."
Captain Douglas sat in silence, he knew this was coming. He tried to stand but the pain in his arm prevented that. Looking up he saw a few survivors had crowded nearby.
"General, I've had some complications. My situation is.......terminal. I'm afraid I will not be getting off this island."
Stunned, the General let the words hang in the air for a moment. Finally he spoke.
"Captain, on behalf of the US Army, I'd like to commend you and the EDF for your efforts tonight. Warn as many people as you can and know that shortly we'll put these, creatures, down. Hard."
"Thank you General."
Captain Gordon put his radio down and looked around at the survivors that were now surrounding him.
"I don't know why some of you are still here in the city. But whatever the reasons, it's time to worry only about your own survival. In 3 hours time, this island will be no more. Make sure you aren't here when that happens. You know where to go."
As the survivors began to make their way to the exits, Captain Gordon stood and looked out at the city one last time. And then:

The survivors wandered the streets of Manhattan, it wouldn't be long now before the city was in total ruin.
...................
On an empty street the monstrosity walked about oblivious to the fact that it was being stalked. Still reeling from the past few encounters the creature was hurt.
It stopped to rest, when it was hit directly in the chest by a blue ray of intense heat. It had come to know this wave of heat well throughout this night. Hurt but not completely out the creature fell to it's knees as the giant lizard approached.
As the King of Monsters approached the creature watched patiently. The lizard came in for the death blow, he could see the scaley fins upon it's back glow it's bright blue hue that came before an attack. However, this time the creature was ready, as the lizard prepared to strike, the creature swung, knocking the lizard square in the jaw. The monster flew back through the an alleyway, taking out chunks of the surrounding buildings landing on the ground leaving a giant crater.
As the giant lizard lay motionless, the creature retreated. Still too hurt to take care of the lizard the monstrosity would wait and strike when it was at full strength.

The general puffed on his cigar looking out toward the city. It was almost time. He lamented the fact that he wouldn’t be able to save the city from these creatures, but knew that it was but a small sacrifice that needed to be made in order to protect the rest of the country.
He sighed, and spoke into the radio. “Get those birds in the air. Hammerdown is go, in one hour.”
...................
The scientist frantically re-wired the circuitry on his contraption. He hated doing this, but there was no other choice. He knew what the military planned and doubted it would be enough to hurt these beasts. More fire power was a necessity.
He frowned as the timer on the contraption sprung to life. In just one hour the full power of the Oxygen Destroyer would be unleashed and Manhattan and everything in it would be no more.
As he walked toward the exit the scientist passed another on the street. A tired looking man, the scientist wondered to himself why he hadn’t already left. Gaining the man’s attention, he pointed back at the contraption trying to warn the man of the impending danger.
The tired man, intrigued wandered up to the device, his eyes widening as he noticed the timer.
He looked back, but the scientist was already gone; he should leave, the man thought to himself.
...................
She could see the bridge and smiled as she realized that none of her peers could have done what she did this night. She had tangled with the beasts; while others ran, she faced them head on. She hopped on her board, ready to ride off into the sunset, when she heard a peculiar sound. She had never heard anything like it, and as she rode down the street it grew louder and louder.
Finally, she stopped and peered down a dark alley. She immediately regretted the decision as she shouted “Hello” down the dark corridor. In that instant the alley sprung to life. The alley became a moving, breathing entity as the noise grew louder. Green eyes peering out at her, the woman had never felt such a stirring sense of dread. Finally, a creature emerged, followed by another, and another, until the street was littered with over a dozen of the dog sized parasites.
Instinctively she jumped on the board and began to ride toward the bridge. She weaved between the rubble and parked cars, constantly looking back at the pack of parasites giving chase. The faster of the creatures consistently snapped at the backs of her legs as she rode, however, their hunger and vicious nature proved a disservice as they would continually lunge at her resulting in them snapping at air and crashing back down on the concrete. Only to scramble to their feet and repeat the process over and over again.
Still, she knew she couldn’t keep up the pace, and more aggressive action would be needed. At the first opportunity the woman turned and rode through an alleyway as she did, she pulled down whichever trash cans and debris she could, hoping to slow the creatures in their pursuit.
Looking back she could see that her plan had worked, the creatures slowed by the debris crashed into each other creating a logjam as more of them entered the fray. Still one emerged and continued to give chase. She could see the street just a few feet ahead and crouched, hoping to gain speed and outrun the last of the pack.
However, as she emerged from the alley and turned down the street she ran straight into a man holding a video camera. Catching the man’s shoulder, the impact threw her off balance and sent the woman sprawling to the street. Quickly the woman turned her body over to face the man, sitting on the concrete shouting at the top of her lungs for the man to run the entire time.
Still on his feet, but a bit confused the man rushed to the woman’s side to help her to her feet. As he lent out his hand, a parasite sprung from his right side smashing the man to the concrete while biting into his shoulder.
He screamed out in pain as he tried to shake the creature off him. As the creature snapped at the man, it was blindsided as the woman struck it with all her strength with the skate board she’d been riding. The creature landed hard a few yards away but the second of safety was little comfort as the pack of parasites emerged from the alleyway.
The woman looked toward the injured man and instructed him to run the opposite way. As he did, she hopped back on the board and head straight for the pack. She weaved her way through the creatures as they snapped and lunged at her. Dodging their strikes she gained speed and led them up the street away from the injured man running in the opposite direction.
Ducking into a parking garage the woman spotted a stairwell and made her way over as the pack gave pursuit. Reaching the door, she had barely enough time to open it and dive through as the pack reached her. The stairwell echoed with a loud clang as the first creature slammed into the door, leaving a large dent. Frantically the woman rose and began running up the stairs, bounding 2 to 3 steps at a time. As she reached the third floor she heard the door give way as the creatures broke through.
She emerged into the third level of the garage, and barely had time to look for an exit before she felt the thump in the stairwell door as the pack slammed into it. Finally she spotted it, the spiral ramp way used to drive up to the level, was only 50 yards away. She broke into a sprint and was only 20 yards from the ramp when she heard the metal door clang behind her as the pack broke through.
Jumping in the air, she slammed the board down hard on the side rail of the ramp. Grinding her way down the noise of the creatures became more and more distant as the struggled to keep her pace. She hit the street below quickly, and sped through the street as the pack continued its way down the ramp. With the head start the woman ducked down alleys and side streets in an attempt to lose the pursuing parasites.
Never slowing until she hit the bridge and reached safety.

He could see the tunnel up ahead. It had been a tiring night and it was now time that he thought about his own survival. Finally ready to leave, he started toward the tunnel, when suddenly he heard the beast grunt from behind him.
He turned and before him stood the giant ape.
8........
Looking over his shoulder he could see the tunnel, just a few yards away. But he was tired, and knew there would be no outrunning the beast. His shoulders slumped and the man dropped to his knees, closing his eyes he prepared himself to meet his fate.
7
.
Wincing he felt the intense heat bite his face and singe his hair. Leaping backwards he screamed in pain. He could hardly believe what he was seeing as he opened his eyes. The beast had been pummeled by a fiery blue ray; the force of the blast knocking the ape into a nearby telephone poll, resulting in the transformer falling atop the beasts chest, electrocuting him on impact.
Looking to his left, he saw the giant lizard stomping his way in their direction. Knowing not, whether the monster was friend or foe, the man wasted no time dashing toward the tunnel and making his escape.
6
5
..
The man hobbled as he made his way across the bridge. With daylight approaching he could see more of his surroundings. He could see the sea of flashing lights on the coast across from Manhattan, and steeled his resolve to get across the bridge and find help from the bite he suffered.
Even in this hour however, he felt an obligation to film the fate of the city. He turned back toward Manhattan and began filming once more. He could see the monstrosity in the lowest part of the island, still raging, still destroying everything in its path.
4
.
And then he heard the boom, from the sky above. Still viewing through the cameras view screen he could see the F 15s as they came into frame. He continued to watch in horror, as he saw the missiles deploy from the jets and begin to detonate throughout the city. Panning back to the monstrosity he could see that the creature was being pelted by the missiles. Still the creature would not go down, even as flames and explosions erupted upon its back.
As more and more jets focus their attacks on the beast, he heard the monstrosity wail out in pain. He gave a small yelp, excited by the damage being done to the creature. He continued to cheer until finally the monstrosity retreated, diving back into the water. He followed the wall of water that sped out from the bay half expecting the creature to turn back toward land and continue its destruction, but, in an instant the swell died out and the waters were once again calm.
3
2..
The King of Monsters stalked up to the downed beast ready to continue its attack. However, the beast had different plans. Charged with the electricity that now coursed through its body the gigantic ape stood and charged toward the lizard. Striking the lizard in the jaw the impact of the beasts electrically charged fist caused lightning sized sparks to fly out in every direction.
Continuing its assault the beast was relentless, every blow causing the lizard to wail out in pain, as the snap of electricity struck his body. Hitting its opponent with rights and lefts the beast drove the lizard toward the coast step by step. Until finally the monsters stood, before the bay. Smelling blood the beast went in for the final blow, connecting with a charged uppercut that crashed into the jaw of the monster before it.
The lizards knees clapping together, the monster slumped, its body collapsing as it crashed into the water.
1.
The beast roared triumphantly as the giant lizard sank to the bottom of the sea.
0
Quietly along an abandoned street a green timer, reached zero and instantly activated the deadly Oxygen Destroyer. Instantly the device sprung to life releasing a giant ball of fire 20 feet into the air. As the ball continued to grow, the device shot out a single ray, which would cause the total annihilation of Manhattan.
Quickly and without warning the ball of fire erupted, spreading throughout the city. Fire spread as the oxygen in the air began to ignite. First SoHo began to give way, the fire spreading through the air like a fuse; it sped through the area, igniting the enormous ape as the beast roared in victory. Within seconds the 8th wonder of the worlds fur and flesh burned, and soon the beast was no more than a collection of oversized bones melting away with the pavement of the street.
From the bridge the man gasped as the very air seemed to ignite throughout Manhattan. In an instant buildings burned and collapsed, pavement began to melt, and the streets of the city was filled with nothing but rubble and ash.

Knowing that he nor the city of New York would ever be whole again.
