Waiting periods after firings/negotiations

Hey,

if I were to fire an associate fighter, will there be a waiting period before I can offer him a contract again?
If so, any idea how long that would be?

Also, any idea how long it takes before you can negotiate again with someone, after the original negotiations fell through?

It's been a year since my negotiations with Fezzik fell through and he still won't talk to me.
