Signing bonus - What is the point?

It seems like I can cut pretty much all of the signing bonus of the fighters negotiating with my mid level regional promotion and they won't have anything to say about it. Just cut a guy from 2.500$ to 100$ bonus, no complaint. Is the signing bonus feature broken or do fighters just not care until they reach a certian level of fame?

It depends on other factors. If the rest of the contract exceeds their expectations, they'll be happy to accept less of a bonus. Sometimes they'll be willing to accept a lower amount because they are desperate for work or really want to work for your promotion. The signing bonus is one of the least important parts of the contract as it's a small one-off payment, all fighters would rather have the important factors like base pay sorted out instead.

Yeah alot of my fighters don't even get signing bonuses. I'm definately not complaining though.
