I'm loving the game, thanks to Adam and the team for their great work.

When running a fed that uses a cage, I've found that the judging seems to overvalue wrestling, in my opinion. In particular, just holding an opponent against the cage for a minute seems to score pretty significant points, even where no real offence is attempted. I see rounds where a fighter is knocked down twice and loses the striking definitively, but wins the round by holding the opponent against the cage for a couple of minutes despite doing no damage. As best I can tell, the judges give more credit for this than for being in top position on the ground while attempting little offence.

I do think such a fighter deserves some credit for controlling the action, but my perception is that it's slightly out of balance in the game. Do others agree, or is it just me?

You are right that putting your opponent against the cage gives a fighter points. Yet, if the other fighter knocks the grinder down, he gets the advantage.

A KO seems to be valued highest, a takedown normally would win you the round. Generally, besides a takedown, nothing really interesting happens during a match.

I don't really think it should change. It's good this way.

I think the judging is perfect, the problem is the referee who will sit there and let the fighter hold him there 3 to 4 minutes before restarting. I can't tell you how many times I've seen

Fighter A holds Fighter B against the cage for a whole minute

Fighter A holds Fighter B against the cage for 30 seconds or so

Fighter A tries to take Fighter B down but Fighter B stands his ground

Fighter A holds Fighter B against the cage for a whole minute

Fighter A holds Fighter B against the cage for a whole minute

Referee restarts the fight in the center

Fighter B throws a punch but misses

Round end

10-9 Fighter A

Yes, the cage does favor wrestlers more, but in real mma competition cage's do serve as an advantage to wrestlers, so if it is like that for it's a realistic feature.
