Day Two:

After an inactive first day, the death that came with the night, coerced many into action.

They knew the what threatened them from the depths of the ocean. And although many were scared at just the mention of his name, the citizens still rallied.

In the end it would take almost all of their combined strength to bring Moon Lit Tears down.

Okay. first off. WOO HOO. Had forgotten the whale having a name in Pinnochio. That would certainly account for an underwater baddie other than Ursula.

That seems a little pointless, if masterded's vote puts us over. I understand the experiment, otherwise.

Now then, here's the thing about that.

The mods put me in a little side minigame which gave me a prize if I won. I did. As a result, my vote got to count double in this past phase. What I didn't know is if the effect would take hold on a vote already cast. So since we had 12 votes (near two thirds) and MLT still hadn't been lynched, I was going to withdraw my vote and then re-apply it to see if that boost would get us over the two thirds of nineteen mark and hammer her. I hadn't yet won the extra vote power when I initially voted so you can see my concern there. Just didn't know that the retroactive effect had been applied and the voted essentially closed when Masterded laid down his ballot.

All she wanted to was to settle down and get to reading but before she could even try she noticed a light. An intense intoxicating red light. Before she knew it she was wondering the streets, where she was headed she did not know. All she knew was she had no choice.

He was doing everything he could to get to the bottom of the threats to the Magic Kingdom and with his considerable talents that was no small effort. After the success of the past day however, he had made quite a target of himself.

He was checking up on someone, when a strange woman wondered up to him. He tried to talk to her but the girl was lost. As he tried to get the Tha Black Phenom to sit down iMac felt an intense heat on the back of his neck.

He turned and saw the ball of fire coming his way, but it was too late to do anything about it.




Tha Black Phenom is dead. He was Belle, Magic Kingdom Aligned Beauty but a Funny Girl

Okay, two deaths, one of which looks like a magical attack. That means it is likely a different killer than the stabber night one. The red light may be similar to that from the first night...it almost seems like a neuralyzer from Men in Black; was that a Disney flick?

Also, we're still seeing only 2d animated characters, though the Great Mouse Detective pretty much indicates we can't rely on anyone being big name.

Fireball tossers could be most any of the magical baddies from Malefecent to Jafar. I'm kind of lost on the red light, though.

Anyone get any good results?

I am starting to realize that though I have seen almost all the classic Disney Cartoons it has been a good 16 plus years for most and I don’t remember much seeing as I was 8 and under. I think the only one I have seen recently was Robin Hood (which is a great movie).

It's been awhile since I've seen the movie, but didn't the boa in the Jungle Book have red eyes? Know he used hypnotic serpentine charms on Mogwi, so maybe it's him redirecting?

As for the fireball ... it may be magic, but it sounds huge. Wiped out two people. I'm thinking maybe the Sword and the Stone ... where Morgan le Fay (I think?) turned into a fire breathing dragon. In which case, I hope that only happens once!

And I almost made a joke about the Great Mouse Detective yesterday. Glad I didn't now.

And you didn't find any of the evidence against her to be persuasive at all? Not the threat investigation? Not the ability counter-claim? Not the witness to her lying about who she targeted?

It seems like you put a good deal of thought into figuring out how she might be telling the truth. I'm just not sure why you didn't give equal thought to the evidence against her.

You seemed to go out of your way to let it be known that you were "sure" that there was a dragon character in the game. And you were "sure" that said dragon would show up as a threat if investigated. Why were you so "sure" about that role being in and how it worked?

I don't think I'm the only one that thought you were trying to imply that you were who she was looking for. And conveniently when asked on a couple of occasions whether you knew more than you were letting on, you didn't take that opportunity to clarify that you weren't connected to her.

If she had come up anything other than individually aligned, I'd be fairly convinced that you were a teammate trying to protect her. But there are reasons that scum might not want an indy killer to die. So I'm not convinced that it was an honest mistake either.

Also, I want to say that I think we've been off-focus, here. I'm guilty of it, too -- we've all been zeroing on which potential Disney characters we're seeing, but I think that matters less than what the abilities are. Let's face it, a large number of the potential baddies we're looking at could have any number of abilities. So, unless we have reason to associate the two, why don't we drop the names for now, and focus on role abilities? Sure, we have some evidence that Jafar may be able to redirect people...or was that the snake? Or maybe someone we haven't thought of. My point is, we need to focus more on the "redirect" part over the "maybe Jafar".

I think we've been blinded by the potential for really cool roles and abilities, and are forgetting about the core of the game. We may be able to reason out some links, but I think that the MLT lynch shows exactly how undependable our estimations of those roles can be, at least at this point.

Night Three

They had the notion that they would be safe on this night. Surely with the death of dark fairy the Villains would have to regroup, they thought.

But one nasty individual in particular quickly swooped in, his chance to seize power was at hand.

He was hard at work, knowing exactly who he wanted to visit when a strange red glow caught his attention. Staring deeper and deeper into the intense light he soon found he was not where he was supposed to be.

He was a fearsome figure, but, one with a thoughtful heart. He roamed the streets when suddenly a tall figure stepped out from the shadows. A wicked smile the figure slowly drew a large knife from his waistband.

Mjdgoldeneye tried to leap at the figure but found himself restrained. Unable to move he growled and snapped at those restraining him, but it was no use mjdgoldeneye could not even see just who had him in their grip.

The tall figure stepped forward and shrugged “So you’ve met my friends….” And with unexpected quickness he plunged the knife into the pit of mjdgoldeneye’s stomach.

When day broke the kingdom found itself with even more questions than the day before.

Gaston from the Beauty and the Beast film. He fits the description of a tall man, and the weapon by using a knife or dagger. Also has henchmen, which fits the write up as well.

Now if we have any leads as to anyone who targeted MJD, then that would seem to be the path for today.

Uncertain on what to do during the day, the citizens of the kingdom looked toward the night to take action.

A group had gathered near the shore. Their purpose? Nobody could be certain. They looked around eyeing each other up, and then, they burst into action. A blur of activity just what was happening was hard to make out. A trail of light, growling, more lights these red almost blinding and then. Then the enormous wave rose up from the water and crashed down on the group.

They slowly dragged themselves further ashore. All but one. Astil would be unaccounted for.

I think the redirect is highly likely. Rev and I have used that in our games together several times. Don't think we ever used it for scum though (I could be wrong). That doesn't mean it isn't a scum ability (as it appears to be) as it is easily converted to one.


Not exactly sure where we stand on the Destiny votes for now, so I'll end this post and check. We have some time though.

He was used to sneaking about the kingdom and since the villains emerged he had been using his skills to the benefit of the town. Tonight that would come to an end however.

Cappyboy bounded down an alleyway prize in hand when he ran into another person, both of them hitting the ground with a thud. Cappyboy looked at the one before him with a smile.

I'm not so certain about this. At least not when it comes to Cappy. The pleasantries makes me think it's someone we'd consider more of a heroic character. Granted, the gun leads me to consider the hunting aspect, which fits Gaston, but he's not the only character in a Disney movie to ever hold a gun ... Clayton from Tarzan is one. However, I don't see Aladdin being friendly with him either.

So I'm at a loss as to who it could be ... because I'm almost positive it wasn't a townie who killed Cappy, and with Monstro being dead, fairly certain it wasn't a serial killer. I think Gaston had a rifle at some point ... well, more a blunderbuss, I guess. There's a cat from Tarzan who had one as well. But in both of those cases, they're main antagonists of the film. I can't figure out why Aladdin would be happy to see him.

I did think of a way it could've happened, but I haven't seen anyone Christmas day happy, so I doubt that's it.

I agree with the usurper hypothesis; Jafar would be a natural for that, as it was what he was trying to do all along in the movie. Since we're fairly sure he's in play, I'd bet he's our new don.

Okay, I know who targetted sprinklefurball last night. I'm trying to work out whether that makes them likely scum or likely town... from what I can see, we have a tracker, a claimed watcher, a dead JOAT, a dead investigator? (Basil, I take it)... what other roles are likely to be out there targetting people at night?

After an unfortunate turn of events the day before, the Magic Kingdom was bristling with action this night.

He was used to sneaking about the kingdom and since the villains emerged he had been using his skills to the benefit of the town. Tonight that would come to an end however.

Cappyboy bounded down an alleyway prize in hand when he ran into another person, both of them hitting the ground with a thud. Cappyboy looked at the one before him with a smile.

"Always nice to see you around" he said with a smile.

The smile soon turned to a look of confused fright as the other person stood rifle in hand.

Cappyboy didn't have time to react before the blast tore through him.

Hard to say what other roles are out there. But Sprinkle had basically claimed a character already. Not sure if that makes it more likely that town or scum would have targeted him though.

Presumably you don't trust whoever you tracked, so unless targeting a claimed Quasimodo is a reason to trust, it seems like a solid basis for questioning. Though ideally the questions would have come before revealing the target.

Oh, that I totally agree with, and while I can't say it impossible, I still think there's enough characters in the Disney mythos that would allow for separation. Case in point (and this is only meant as an example, not some known knowledge) ... if you had Winnie the Pooh as a roleblock (plugging your window in search of honey), and had Owl listed as a watcher, you could easily switch the watcher role to Tarzan, who is also tree level, no?

Like I said, I can't say that with full certainty, obviously, it's something I want to keep aware of. And if someone claims Lumiere, I think we need to look long and hard at that instance. lol

He had done his share to aid the Kingdom in its hour of need and had every intention of continuing this aid. Unfortunately there were those who had different ideas.

While doing his duty Jaded found himself in a darkened ally. Worried he turned to go back the way he came when a grinning man stepped out from the shadows. Jaded whined and tried to run but something held him back.

Before he knew it the grinning man held him in the air by his hind legs.

The whines from the darkened ally could be heard all over the kingdom throughout the night.
