Well, it's already too late, but just to answer your question, to my knowledge Destiny hasn't called out anyone all game. He didn't vote on lost's lynch, and despite being one of the most prolific posters in the game (2nd to PP I believe), his posts basically amount to stating the obvious, idle chatter, or agreeing after the fact (no offense intended to him).

He has been trying to interpret the write ups and stamp out the wiggle room but in my cursory search I haven't found anything vitally important in what he's said. Then again, not everyone can be an investigator and have lists of targets available to them.

Generally, I'd agree with you.

Given that I took over for an extremely inactive treton, it wouldn't surprise me that much if I have been targeted by a warden in the past. Apologies if we've been over the list of who has been protect/roleblocked already, but I don't recall it and can't verify, either way, if that happened to me on the night in question.

I won't deny the fact that I haven't been as vocal as normal, but I'd like to point out that I joined the game late as a replacement (after the UFC lynch) and have had less time for mafia (hence my original desire to go on the reserves and not in the active player list).

Given that I took over for an extremely inactive treton, it wouldn't surprise me that much if I have been targeted by a warden in the past. Apologies if we've been over the list of who has been protect/roleblocked already, but I don't recall it and can't verify, either way, if that happened to me on the night in question.

I've been revealing my targets as it is deemed necessary, but I don't like giving scum a complete list of protected townies in case they outthink my pattern.

I won't deny the fact that I haven't been as vocal as normal, but I'd like to point out that I joined the game late as a replacement (after the UFC lynch) and have had less time for mafia (hence my original desire to go on the reserves and not in the active player list).

Fair enough, but then again bak42 replaced Sean McFly and contributed more in his brief stay before we lynched him. A lynch you threw a vote down on. And it wasn't until AFTER UFC-KING that we started lynching scum anyway, but again we don't want to press for more info until Day phase.

Has nothing to do with me, really. Since the start of the game virtually everything you've done has annoyed me to no end. The stuff with Self started to look, well, petty. I doubt Thomas harris has much to say on this, but your play style early on kind of reminded me of, well, me. A different me, a far less wise me. It was the last thing i wanted to see in the game and yet there it was.

I know this isn't fair to you, your just playing your game, but it got to the pointb where i just wanted to disregard everything you had to say. Except i can't disregard you putting my name on your list.

My first impulse was to type a nasty reply concerning nothing game wise, but to talk about my perceptions of your shortcomings as a person. Just for the record, my earlier comment, especially with the Hannibal Lector type stuff was purely in jest. I was just pointing out though, that of the three on that list, you were the least scummiest in my oppinion. Heck, you're pretty far down on my scum list given the whole game.

As for my playing style, what can I say? I'm a closet troll. I've never denied that I enjoy pushing buttons via the internet but that's because my personal philosophy is that everyone would enjoy the internet more if they didn't take it so personally.

I hope Self doesn't have any lingering irritations that extend beyond the game just because I called him scummy about 1,001 times. If you look back at my playing style, it does tend to be a bit OTT, but so what? In FF mafia I pretended to throw a big hissy fit tantrum, but I didn't really care who voted for me or what happened in the end, it was a game and it was fun. Some people are amused watching the monkey fling the poo around his cage, other's are pissed off at the mess they have to clean up afterwards.

@Anti: All joking aside, I wish you the best of luck. I cannot comprehend the difficulties you are facing, in fact I believe that all of lifes complications are beyond compare, even the little ones.

However, for my own personal pains, I take small comfort in knowing that it is only through knowledge of sorrow that we can appreciate true joy, only through betrayal can we appreciate true love, and only through the darkest hours can we come to appreciate all the wonders around us.

I firmly believe that there is a plan, a meaning to our lives, but the path we take is clouded from our vision because we can only see where we've been, not where we're going. I have found that in the long term, in the larger picture, what I felt were my worst moments have ended up making me stronger. The attacker leapt down, weapon clashing into the foes with a clang. Another brilliant battle of weapons began, with neither wanting to give up the advantage once again.

The attacker followed tonight's chosen target, ready to strike down the one believed to be evil. It would only be a matter of time before this would come to an end, and tonight, the attacker was sure another step would be taken towards that peaceful end.

Unfortunately, they showed up and blocked the way, not allowing the attacker to go any further.

They hadn't been able to find the second target. One would have to do for tonight. They'd grown rather used to what came next as the rumbling of huge footsteps inched closer. Another attack from the giant, as the attacker closed in. The sword slammed into the ground, narrowly missing the group. A swipe from the sword followed, but just as it seemed tonight would wield beautiful death, another dove in to knock the target out of harms way.

Another saw the attack as they approached, simply shaking the head. This wasn't the right place. Behind the beast, another man could be seen, barely noticably by the giant creature. He knew tonight, he'd had no luck at finding one of the Power Rangers he so desperately sought.

He made his way out through the park, panting and heaving after lugging his over weight self such a distance. He caught a glimpse of the one he'd chosen to go after tonight in his hunt for the Power Rangers and knew, almost instantly, that this surely wasn't one of them.

Close behind him was someone he knew. The officer stood watching as the fat moron watched someone else, completely unaware of his surroundings. Something a man of his position never should be.

He fell to the ground grasping his head seconds later, as a blade stuck in the back of it.

With great agility, he leapt to the top of a building, his weapon immediately coming to his mouth to play a tune. Seconds later roars could be heard. Then stomps, as the creature made it's way onto land. With a leap, the Green Ranger found himself atop his personal zord, the Dragon Zord.

"You think that scares me? I've got one of those too."

Tommy stood no chance. There was no way he could've predicted what was to come next, as blasts came from behind, nearly destroying the Dragon Zord with relative ease. Another set of blasts would send the zord down in a heap of scrap metal, Tommy right along with it.

The attacker made his way through the rubble until the dragon coin was in hand. With a snicker, the attacker left.

All I can find about "Master Li" on the Wiki, and it sounds to me like he's muddled it up.

Mantis:
A praying mantis monster created by Finster. It is extremely skilled in Praying Mantis Kung Fu and it is an expert warrior as well, regardless of its affiliation with the treacherous Rita Repulsa. When the Power Rangers attack Mantis, it notifies them that they have no honor and that they do not believe in fighting a fair battle. This especially has a tremendous effect on Trini, who had been training in the art with her sensei, Master Li, and she decides to fight the monster alone in a later encounter in order to maintain her honor. However, once Mantis loses the one-on-one standoff match, Mantis resorts to receiving help from the putties and this leaves Trini asking "What about your honor?" The Mantis gives her the most fitting response applicable. "I have no honor. Like you said, I am one of Rita's monsters." Luckily for Trini, her friends show up in time to help her defeat the Mantis. Trini feels that she did have honor because she gave the Mantis a fair fight even though the Mantis eventually resorted to ganging up on her. Mantis then grew into giant form and was destroyed by the Megazord's Power Sword. He re-appeared briefly in Season 2 as an hallucination caused by the Trumpet Top monster.

Overall, I'm not buying it.

Well I got the result I've gotten for the others with no training, just a generic "Your target has no martial arts training." Obvious something went haywire with me last night, being that TBP got a result he certainly shouldn't have and I reached my target just fine while you didn't. The fake rangers seem to know enough martial arts to pass themselves off as the real thing. There was someone that bested Tommy with little to no problem. I do believe there was a ranger being attacked by someone in one of the other write ups too. The rangers do not seem to be the only people that can fight, that's been shown in the write up numerous times.

This isn't a terrible claim, but from the research shown I think it's a stretch for Master Li to be a pro-town role. I'm not 100% on board with this lynch because there's still a vestige of plausibility to it, but I'm about 80% and would go with it if nothing better turns up.

I was thinking about that as well- when did he decide he thought the person was pro-town: before or after the investigation? If he names that person and they do in fact have martial arts skills one way or another it would help me swallow Rev's claim a little easier.

It seems like a double-edged sword, but a lot of roles are like that (PGO comes to mind). The targets don't help much, and I'm still not too hot on the role itself. It's just a flavor investigation. No different than other flavor investigations like say a gunsmith, caterer, or what have you. The utility of it is completely dependent on the person playing the role. If used well, it can be used to catch people hiding behind a fake claim or lying about something concerning their character (which is far from useless).

Foolinc and TBP appear(ed, in Fool's case) to be the two hard lined investigator types. Not every role can be that cut and dry, especially with 40 of them given out. There is quite a degree of difficulty in the role in that the person who has it isn't going to be able to jump directly in the thread and say hey guys "I have a PM that says XXX is a threat" because 1) there are already two roles that fit that bill and 2) it ups the difficulty level and inherent challenge of the game.

And stop distorting facts please. "Most in the graveyard" is a flat out falsehood. I can't change the fact that Shig was inactive and as a result two opportunities to use the ability were wasted. However I have done what I can 4 nights now, and only 1 of these individuals is in the graveyard.

However, I stand by some of what I said (in a sleep-deprived state). If you're telling the truth, it's flavor that no matter how well you play is very limited. If you find out someone has no martial arts ability, so what? Could be town (Angel Grove Aligned), could be scum (not all villains had fighting abilities.) If you find out someone has martial arts ability, so what? Could be town (power Ranger), could be scum (Goldar), putting you in a difficult position. Heck, a no win situation. For my money, it just seems so...I can't find the right word right now.

Night Six

The attacker followed tonight's chosen target, ready to strike down the one believed to be evil. It would only be a matter of time before this would come to an end, and tonight, the attacker was sure another step would be taken towards that peaceful end.

Unfortunately, they showed up and blocked the way, not allowing the attacker to go any further.

They hadn't been able to find the second target. One would have to do for tonight. They'd grown rather used to what came next as the rumbling of huge footsteps inched closer. Another attack from the giant, as the attacker closed in. The sword slammed into the ground, narrowly missing the group. A swipe from the sword followed, but just as it seemed tonight would wield beautiful death, another dove in to knock the target out of harms way.

Another saw the attack as they approached, simply shaking the head. This wasn't the right place. Behind the beast, another man could be seen, barely noticably by the giant creature. He knew tonight, he'd had no luck at finding one of the Power Rangers he so desperately sought.


Im seeing two kill attempts blocked here? That's worrying itself. Is it possible MJ was taken out by somebody who specificity only needed to attack him. If it's the SK that got him, where has this other attack come from?

As for me not voting on the don last phase, the lynch was achieved during the day, and I do work 'n' all. I'm just catching up now at midnight 'cause today was my 3-year anniversary! But to put you guys at ease, I've been in a write-up recently when I have not before.

As others have said, not sure on this claim for the above reasons. Still, the claim isn't out of the realms of believability, given the other characters we have seen.

Not sure where i stand on the outing the possible ranger situation. On one hand it would give us more info and possibly give weight to Rev's claim. On the other hand, Rev is a good player and could be using this to flush somebody important out of the tree's for his scum buddies.

I thought i knew who TBP was, given his restriction. Im not so sure now, but he is confirmed and has a scum result. I don't think Rev would have been top of my list as a framing possibility, though others may feel different?

My main worry here is that i can see 4 attacks happening in the write up. Last night our protectors and blockers did a great job but scum could get lucky at any point. I'm all for chancing our arm and going for the lynch early doors but a mislynch here could really cost us. Especially now MJ has gone, considered him our insurance policy.

I don't know anything about him that isn't publicly posted if that's what you're asking. As I mentioned before he struck me as being town aligned. I've noticed that scum have been picking off the fringe townies so I've been trying to protect the townies off the radar.

It's pretty obvious I don't have the power to stop all the scum so I can't protect prime targets, but I can hope to foil the fringe killings at least.

I don't know anything about him that isn't publicly posted if that's what you're asking. As I mentioned before he struck me as being town aligned. I've noticed that scum have been picking off the fringe townies so I've been trying to protect the townies off the radar.

It's pretty obvious I don't have the power to stop all the scum so I can't protect prime targets, but I can hope to foil the fringe killings at least.

FWIW, Bear, your recent posts have led me to gain some confidence in your status. You're pointing out some very subtle things that I don't think scum would point out even to establish a veneer of credibility. I get specific info. I can assess others martial arts abilities. I suspect my role was added to weed out the normal people from rangers, fake rangers, and sword wielders. When I have entirely more time (tonight after the girls bed time) I can give you a run down of my targets (nights 1 and 2; Shig did F all).

I can tell you I've found only 1 whose a skilled martial artist.

However I suspect he's on the good side and thus have not released said info.

Whaaaaat. The whole freakin' PR world is full of martial artists, at least a hell of a good portion of them are. I don't see how remotely useful this ability is. This isn't even gunsmith-worthy. At least when you're looking for people with guns(or other decisive objects)... that's a bit more straight-forward and specific. But martial arts abilities? You might as well add such a role in a Dragonball Z game and it wouldn't make much difference nor less/more sense.

Here's my issue with your claim

1) It's the power ranger universe. EVERYONE is trained in martial arts, or close to it. Putties, townies, rangers, fake rangers...

Given my time constraints and my character... my strategy is/was to blend in. I am not aligned with Angel Grove, I'm not aligned with scum, and I'm not a serial killer.

My win condition is to escape Angel Grove or to survive until the end.

And so, I have kept my head and voice down. It serves absolutely no purpose for me to come out strong and get offed by scum for being a pain in the rear. It serves no purpose for me to be a town leader, when if I should happen to be killed at night, I lose the game, regardless of whether or not Angel Grove wins.

However, I have helped the town. I don't need the town to win for me to get a victory, but I can't win if you guys lynch me. In order to do so, I've put an admittedly marginal amount of effort into helping the town. And so I put a vote down on Gabbo when he took more than expected to lynch. I put a vote down on one of the various bak42's in this game. Now, he turned up town, but foolinc had a scum result on him, and so, I made the best choice I could at the time. And I've spoken up multiple times, asking people to slow down, to not rush phases (because, honestly, the only people that are happy with that are scum).

And yes, I knew this moment would come. I knew that I could only fly under the radar for so long. And yet, I still content that this strategy, as an indie, made and makes sense.

After another horrible night, the citizens of Angel Grove rallied once more, hoping they could strike back against the forces who'd taken down so many of them.

Attention quickly turned to one, and while they did take the time to at least question another, they wouldn't hesitate to return to the one who claimed to be able to find those with martial arts skills. No one could figure out how that would honestly be very useful in aiding the town.

Though, in all honesty, it likely could've been.

They brought him to the center of the youth center, as they had done everyone before him, and lynched him just the same. Everyone gathered around to witness exactly who they'd hung, but as he fell, he seemed to break apart, and teleport away in a glow.

I was worried if nobody got that and people just thought I was hit in the head or something.

On diary pimpage notes, I don't know what to do... I'm still going strong on CCW and have another 6 months of shows to write up...but I've started playing RIPW and am having an absolute blast with it (mainly because I don't have to spend an hour just trying to book a show and not go bankrupt)

However, it looks like I'm about to fail several owner goals so will probably be fired shortly in CCW, so the question is, should I...
