Night Nine

She had been watching over one most of the night from a distance, just in case something went wrong. She knew she'd have plenty of time to get to where she needed to be.

Unfortunately, she didn't know that her target wasn't the one in danger.

"This seems... familiar."

As she turned, the weapon slashed across her chest, and a quick kick sent her tumbling down the mountain.

The attacker beat her to the bottom, and as she came to a stop, the attacker took the morpher from her belt.

He stumbled into the garage, as dimwitted as ever. The technology in this place amazed him, and made him laugh at the dork working hard on said technology.

He turned to leave as he shook his head, still laughing.

He wouldn't be laughing long.

The evil laugh filled the air, and as he looked up, he could've crapped himself. A blast fired down upon him, and he fell to the ground in a burnt heap.

One said a prayer, knowing that they needed this. They needed everything to go right on this night to have any chance. Stepping into a pod, electricity flowed around it momentarily before teleporting the attacker to the moon.

The attacker made way straight to the target's base, sneaking in with relative ease. Sneaking up on the seemingly moronic target wasn't much of a problem, and the attacker smashed a vase over his head. Enraged, the attacker used part of the shattered vase as a weapon, slashing into the target repeatedly.

He was just closing up. With so few left, nobody was here at night anymore. Everyone was out doing whatever they could to finish this war. He was merely in charge of the place where they met every day.

The door slammed shut, causing his attention to turn, screaming as he saw a monster making it's way towards him.

He had no chance as the monster pounced on him, tackling him behind the bar.

Night 10

She had grown herself to a gigantic size, and stomped through the city in search of her target. Wand in hand, she was more than ready to make an attack. She sized up her target as she spotted her.

A blast from the wand fired directly at the girl, who managed to dive out of the way of the incoming attack. Several more blasts would fire down, each of which missing it's target as the dancer managed to gracefully avoid each and every attempt at taking her life.

The dancer seemed proud as she dodged, showing up the gigantic witch.

If only she'd know there was another behind her, waiting with weapon in hand. The attacker made one simple swipe down her back and she fell to the ground, an inaudible scream trying to escape as she died.

The witch had been so distracted by what was going on below, her own back had been open for attack. Her attacker couldn't think of much that could do the trick, but possibly something from her past would be effective.

As such, a canister opened behind her, sucking her down into it before the attacker shut the lid tightly.

Two thoughts ... one, didn't we lynch someone who was green, who had come up as a threat? How can you be certain it's so cut and dry?

That was foolinc's result, and for reasons still unknown that seemed to be a one-shot thing. There wasn't a miller claim, so framing is a possibility, because other results of foolinc's were valid.

Uh, no, 'Banger. Non-threat means I'm exactly that: not a threat to Angel Grove. You're letting your imagination and possibly paranoia cloud the fact that for once, there are no sort of shenanigans going on.

I'm going to be a forthcoming as possible because I go to work in just under an hour and it's hard as hell to type a longer explanation by phone, especially without the ability to insert line breaks or format easily.

I've been keeping out of the limelight for the most part because I knew that come endgame, my ability would be of great help to Angel Grove. I said before that my ability was passive, but nothing further because quite simply, it hadn't been warranted.

You see, I am Mayor Carrington, Angel Grove Aligned Mayor, and my ability is that due to overwhelming voter support, I can't be lynched. And this close to the end of the game, having a guaranteed voter on Angel Grove's side was more important than blatantly claiming earlier when it was not necessary.

To be honest, in my notes I have cappy and Prophet as unknowns, and if you've gotten a threat result from Prophet, I think that's either the fake Pink Ranger or our SK. Either way, that is not someone I want around my town.

I have to agree with the mayor here. I've never really liked Prophet's claim. I liked it so little he and Crychon were my targets last night after nobody the night before.

With us knocking off Rita at night, it would seem the Evil group is done. So all we have to do is knock out these phony Rangers and Angel Grove can pick up its considerable pieces. I'm just a little kid who likes the stir the pot. Let's get the real threats finished off.

My stance is that I will worry about the Don when the known threat is gone. It is a fact that politicians often double back on their words as well :D ...and with work duties piling up faster than I can get them cleared off, my mind is getting a bit scatterbrained. But if you get the right three posts of mine together, even getting my name becomes a simple matter of filling in the blank. It's been so long before I had need to claim and the process had begun BEFORE my episode synopsis was posted. The only sensible explanation I can find to my identity still being shadowy is that I'm a one ep character and am too easily overlooked.

Who says I think DWW is lying? He could be. Wouldn't surprise me. But what have I said to intimate that? It's clearly obvious to me someone is getting accounted for who shouldn't be. You say you know who the living Rangers and Alpha are. I'll go along with that.

So that leaves the SK and and our indy survivor. The reason I'm not flat out saying DWW is lying is I can't identify who could possibly be a viable SK in this universe. Especially with what's left. I've heard the Trent traveling back from Dino Thunder theory and it feels screwy to me. Although there is the fact that Masterded did turn out to be Justin. My candidate for that role is dead in Goldar. I don't remember exactly why but I seem to remember him going rogue on Rita and Zedd to challenge Tommy solo. And the only other viable candidate I can think of would rely on a cast member's post Power Ranger experience. I.E. Roger.

Now if roles were being cast purely on canon, Roger would probably be Angel Grove like me and Laura and Willy. BUT the actor's not famous now for that one-shot appearance getting resuced by the Rangers. His name is Skylar DeLeon and he's notorious for murdering two people while trying to swindle them out of their boat. But while DeLeon's trial and conviction have gotten wide coverage, it seems a pretty geekbait basis for a SK role. So before you assume I'm accusing DWW of lying, show me where the remaining SK is. I'm not convinced that person can still exist.

Hell, let's do a what-if scenario. You want to lynch Prophet, let's say we do. That means Red Leader gets a kill and SK gets a kill.

BUT, Ranger Vig is alive and Ranger Doc is alive. Ranger Doc protects Ranger Vig, to ensure Red Leader or SK dies. Even if you target the other two and get two kills that still leaves the count next day at 3-1 at worst. If by vigging one of the two kills we prevent that kill from going through it's 4-1.

That's why the fact that you're NOT pushing on d_w_w is noteworthy.

I have actually considered that possibility, factoring Arrows' SK-fetish into things. I actually think the SK has a Thanos element to his design too, and he has to get all the rangers and their coins to become essentially invincible.

And here's where you're being pigheaded and arrogant. I absolutely want a strong position for the town. That's all I've ever wanted. When I gave you the rundown of my prior actions, why did I skip Night 3? Because I had convicted myself of being the reason Bak 1.0 was dead. Only Self's death absolved me in my own mind. Go back to that stage and re-read my posts from that point. It's no tapdance.

That lynch right there was a game changer. I had completely dismissed the Trent as a possibility because it seemed too ridiculous. Because it fit too poorly with everything else that had gone on. Maybe I show have remembered the show genre and bought in to the possibility of a time traveling SK. But go back. You'll see I brought him up on mulitple occasions solely to dismiss him as a possible explanation in other places where he might have fit someone's cover.

But you know what? I kinda hope they do get me. You've gotten so married to the idea I can't be trusted there doesn't seem to be talking to you. You're so convinced there's no way I'm right, you're probably going to have to see it for yourself. Just like I had to see for my own bloody self that an SK could still be possible with who was left and that who he turned out to be was even possible at all. I'm sick of the roller coaster. Dude, I'm been riding the mental roller coaster all game long. Every time I've thought I understand where things were going and I finally knew sky from ground, I'd end up with the rug yanked out from me and landing on my ass again.

I could go Anti's route and blame chaos away from the keyboard. While not as extreme as his junk, I have enough going it could be a viable excuse. But I feel like that would be a cop-out. With a triumphant roar, and the final opposing scum too busy playing her own death music to care, the town of Angel Grove strung up their final threat. The town had been saved, despite, you know, there only being ONE regular citizen of the town left.

Man, you ain't just whistling Dixie brudda. I know I melted down like Three Mile Island on Banger but it had been building the whole game. I wouldn't have thought it was possible to question one's own role PM. But there were points I wasn't even sure how town I really was for all the good I appeared to be doing. And I had stated plainly in green and white in my mailbox. Thank heaven this game's finally over.

Geez, you'd have thought ONE of the four of us would have had a spare brain cell to remember that and look it up. Oy vey.

"It's...a Power Ranger!" The obnoxious moron couldn't believe it. Standing guard in front of the one he'd chosen to target was one of the people he'd been hunting for.

Of course, that was going to stop him from getting much closer, though he did get to see his target showing off his skills on a punching bag. Before turning and leaving, he made note of the child that seemed to be hiding under a table nearby.

They ran towards where they saw their target, not noticing the huge shadow bearing down on them. Chunks of the large building fell away at the might of every foot step, finally causing them to turn and see what the disturbance was.

Their eyes moved up. Up. Up. WAY up. Past their target in it's pocket. On up.

"That's... gotta be worse than giant monsters."

Wearing quite possibly the worst fake power ranger outfit ever, he'd managed to get plenty of attention. Trying to keep his motorcycle helmet up long enough to see, he didn't expect it to be this difficult to find his target.

Just as he started to close in, he found himself surrounded. This, certainly wasn't what he expected.

They were soon joined by someone else, and the goofily dressed ranger seemed all but doomed until someone leapt in front of him, blocking the shot. The attacker and protector stared at each other, neither moving, until the attacker simply left.

That wouldn't be the end of the fun here tonight though, as yet another made an appearance.

"Stop! I won't let you hurt this one!"

The attacker said nothing.

"What's your problem? Who are you?"

"You don't need to know who I am, yellow ranger. Only that I'm not here for your little buddy there."

Confused, the Yellow Ranger tilted her head to the side. "Then, why are you here?"

"To destroy you."

She made a move for her weapons, underestimating the speed of her opponent. The attacker leapt into the air, coming down with one swift strike to the chest of the target.

As the attacker turned to watch, the yellow ranger's suit seemed to shatter, only to reveal something teleporting away in an orange glow.

"Still no challenge."

Another source of major attention, it seemed like forces from everywhere were coming to this one. The target had not one but two people following him all night, and yet when they were needed most, there was nothing they could do.

A beam hit the center of everyone's attention from seemingly nowhere, and when it cleared, nothing was to be found.

I'm gonna go ahead and do this one because I honestly thought the result that came was f'n hilarious. I'll comment below the quotes on each section.


Section 1: Actarus stumbled right onto Banger, night one. Anyone who watched the show'd know who it was too. Only two people it could be. Slim's there protecting Banger, which was pretty common, and masterded was there hiding with Banger.

Section 2: I want you all to reread that section before you read what happened there. Go ahead, reread it really close.

The trio of wardens obviously. Giant thing, Zero9teen in it's pocket.

Yea. Did everyone miss the pocket hint? Or the "WORSE than a giant monster" meaning it can't BE a monster hint?

That was Self. Rita made him grow.

Section 3: Midnightnick targets Rita, but gets roleblocked by putties(Thanks to foolinc). He then manages to get attacked by the evil black ranger(Gabbo), and protected by the evil yellow ranger(Glotnot)---See. Cappy did do ****!(Even on a night he didn't SEND anything. Cappy, see that MUST? That means if you don't, I'll RNG it.)

Glot then got attacked by ShadowedFlames.

Section 4: Tommy getting beamed up to become the evil Green Ranger.

Chosen to emulate the yellow ranger, you must act the way that she would. As all rangers serve as protectors of the town of Angel Grove, that's exactly what you'll do!

A very enjoyable game, Arrows. Though I wish I could have been more active in these last few phases.

I think everyone was scared to touch the Rangers after the failed attempts on Banger. Had another Ranger or two died, the scum would've had this in the bag.

Everyone gathered at their normal spot, discussing their choices for the lynch of the day as they went about their normal business in the youth center. For all of the answers they'd hoped to have coming into the day, they had none.

Then all attention fell on someone else. Someone quiet, sitting alone near the juice bar. As a large number of the patrons made their way over, UFC-KING wouldn't even have time to speak as they drug their choice towards the middle of the room.

It was there that this life was taken, a casualty of what would be a very long war. Of course, when they realized what they'd done, they couldn't help but feel bad about the situation.

UFC-KING is dead. He was Marge, Angel Grove Aligned Blue Obsessed Nerdy Chick.

Yeah, we'd known. The only vote I wish I hadn't dropped was the SO one, which I did purely for self preservation. Earlier we ended that day, the better I felt we'd be.

And I was still clinging to the hope that someone believed I was the trumpet guy (I've totally forgotten the name. lol) so I couldn't jump off when the offer came up. We'd also figured that the numbers were still out of reach to keep`m alive.

Losing Glot night one hurt bad, `cause I really thought we could fly under the radar for a longer period of time.

I didn't know what to do there. We were like 90% sure that SF was the SK a few phases before this. But I thought if I didn't vote, the Ranger brigade would have been onto me.

Yes, and I was one of them. I mean, in my head I knew there was a chance he was lying, and would mention it in the CC as a way for the team to keep me honest, but emotionally I'd bought it. On top of which, he managed his interactions VERY well.

And D_Dub's committment to his claim was unbelievable. I kept offering myself to help solidify his claim.

New to the town of Angel Grove, it didn't take long for Rita Repulsa to put you under a spell. After turning you into a cat, she set you to work on finding the Power Rangers so that she can keep tabs on them as well.

On even numbered nights, you will be Angel Grove Aligned. On each of these nights you must PM me the name of someone you wish to check out. You will be told if they're innocent or guilty.

On odd numbered nights, Rita's control over you will prove powerful, and you will have to target someone. If that person is one of the Power Rangers, Rita will be made aware of who it is.

You win when one of the two happens:

Everything good and decent in the world is destroyed.

Half town half scum cop. I'd love to have seen what happened if bak found someone who was a threat. Bak was also, obviously, the replacement Pink Ranger, and would've lost the scum side of the role, and taken up the original pink's ability instead of Kat's.

There are good times, there are bad times and there's the worst of times...especially for MODding a game.

When it was announced that the game would start before June 7th, I knew I'd completely miss the start due to work obligations. I expected to pick up after that, yet knew it was going to be difficult.

I tried following the game as good as I could. Arrows did a great job at Modding. This idea all started out when we were talking. I was talking about a dutch mafia game with a Muppet Show theme. Arrows then talked Power Rangers and so the ball got rolling.

A lot of people played their roles to perfection here, and I though scum were going to inch out a win here.

Slim, we wasted a couple of nights on Banger and then that night where both groups failed to get Zordon. After that we changed direction and just decided to get the numbers down. You we always on our list though. Problem was, it was a big list.

Probably another reason why the two groups never hurt each other in the early going. There were so many town roles out in the open that could hurt us. PP stayed alive longer than he would have in any other game. But, he was also a good distraction for us.

Section 3: Midnightnick targets Rita, but gets roleblocked by putties(Thanks to foolinc). He then manages to get attacked by the evil black ranger(Gabbo), and protected by the evil yellow ranger(Glotnot)---See. Cappy did do ****!(Even on a night he didn't SEND anything. Cappy, see that MUST? That means if you don't, I'll RNG it.)

I do now. And just more proof this is functionally a loss for me even if offically I did win. Completely overlooked that in the PM. And because of the rooten luck I was having, I did that several times. Doubt it would have changed things much though. By the time I would have been in a mental frame to notice that MUST, I had already convicted myself in Kat's death and the snowball I'd melt down in had begun rolling.
