to be honest from my point of view in terms of the self/pp business, there's not much more self can do to clear himself in my opinion so without an investigator coming forward with a positive or negative result on him we'll just have to go by gut here, 4 'wardens' seems a lot for a game this side on the other hand self has fully roleclaimed, one which nobody has disputed so based on that for now i dont think im going to throw my vote in that direction

Well if I was blocked, I'm pretty sure would did so would be scum and fishing for scum isn't really a crime. ;) Seriously, that was just a kneejerk comment because I was slightly pissed at not being about to find the person I chose.

I really want to figure out if it was in fact a role block or if the person in question just can't be reached by me. If it's the 2nd than I picked either a hider or maybe scum (since someone like Rita would be on the moon?).

So what do you think about the Self/PP situation?

Well, so far every character has been from the mighty morphin' era, which increases the chance of Mr. Kaplan being in the game. Thus I'm willing to believe that Self is Kaplan. I'm also pretty certain that Kaplan is a good guy and thus I am not in favor of lynching Self.

If however there are also characters from another era we should revise his situation as then Kaplan will less likely be in the game as he's a pretty minor character. But for now I think he's safe as there's a lack of good guys in the series and thus minor characters are most likely included in the game as there are 100+ Monsters/bad guys in those first 3 seasons, but only 25 or so good guys who are in more than one episode.

Personally, I've got my own hunches on who is most likely to be scum out of this lot but I'm not going to give anyone any hints on who I'd go for first. Likewise, I'm going to allow everyone to defend themselves as they feel fit. Afterall, it's always interesting to see how people cope with pressure... ESPECIALLY when they are scum. :)

And to finally hammer in the coffin nail to my antiSelf campaign, derek dumps some scum info. Here're my thoughts, take 'em or leave 'em

Gabbo <-- voted for me :(, did a night analysis write up.

Jaded <-- again hasn't contributed anything, just following the crowd. Much more active poster during night phases with his diary pimpage. Could it be disguising his attempt to lie low in day phases while avoiding being seen as AFK?

Nevermore <-- D1 voted for MNN, complained about forgetting to bold his words. Without actually looking at his posts, he voted for MNN 3 times D1 in a row. Then voted for Self but urged to just check for info and not to actually lynch. All in all has contributed very little, but has posted quite often but his posts are distinctly lacking in substance.

SeanMcFly <-- posted twice D1, never casted a vote but asked for the vote count. Since then hasn't said anything. IF Self is scum then SeanMcFly is probably also scum as well.

Oh I don't doubt that. However, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's lying. The way he claims to have hinted seems so very weak. I've dropped a couple myself. And while they are obscure, they should at least be followable if you know how to tie them together. Oh I don't doubt that. However, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's lying. The way he claims to have hinted seems so very weak. I've dropped a couple myself. And while they are obscure, they should at least be followable if you know how to tie them together. The way Jaded claims to have hinted you'd practically have to be inside his head as he made them to recognize he was hinting.

lprock fake claimed Han Solo D1, and it was so obviously fake the real Han didn't even have to come forward, leading to his immediate lynch.

In a fun spin, the real Han Solo died N1 and the Empire managed to learn, and cover up, that fact. So a couple of other Imperials fake claimed Han (knowing the real one was dead), and every time the town didn't buy it and lynched them to "protect the real Han Solo".

Who most of us thought was The Aussie, who claimed Dash Rendar. I honestly thought that Rendar wouldn't be in the game, and the only reason he was saying that is because Dash and Han were rivals and it was his hint to "I'm actually Han, but I won't admit it."

My assumption of suspicion is that I haven't been a forefront contributor, which makes sense. I haven't been. Most of my comments have been about television shows and goofy jokes. Which, to be honest, is nothing new for me. lol

But I know next to nil on the subject. I can't say with certainty that this guy would be in, or that guy wouldn't, because I simply don't know. I try to piece what I can, and throw in my two cents where it applies, but that's the best I can offer.

Simply put, if people didn't have doubts about my allegiances this early in the game, I'd worry the town wasn't keeping their eyes open. I should be suspect, as should most everyone right now.

I'm not really sure I share the same mind boggling-ness as you about the idea of a team of wardens. They could be lying but the concept is pretty solid. A mason group is pretty powerful on its own, so giving the group as a whole one power is pretty fair IMO.

PP hasn't confirmed one way or the other. I'm leaning towards one target, but only because it's the way it fits better into the wacky WTF-puzzle I'm trying to piece together.

If not... I'd be interested in the names of the other targets in the Night Phases. We know 019 was blocked in Night 1, but if they work independently, then who were the other 2? Maybe having those guys off the streets is what lowered our body count in that phase.

He's been both distrustful and trustful of 019 (haven't we all?) and confused me with his examination of the write up (which was doing a fair job confusing me on its own) He's sort of hesitantly backed me up a few times, in being willing to hold off on Voting on me. Willing to wait for Nick's "info" (lol) and wanting extra info from PP to confirm things. Could be a cautious townie, or... The scum know I'm town, so I'm trying to decide whether they'd want me dead, OR they'd want me to stick around as a distraction.

As for my activity, I've been spending the last few days moving back from Uni since its the end of term time. So moving an entire bedroom 50 miles across the country isn't easy. Not to mention I was auto-signed up to a game (Slim Jim can confirm) on another site, so I'm having to split what little time I have in the evenings between both these games.

I don't think I've ever roleclaimed to save myself as town. Shouldn't have too.

Not happy handing scum information on a plate, but if you need more: I have no active ability. Go me. Investigate me at night, watch me. I do nothing, I've done nothing. My saving grace is that my popularity in my role will come in handy, and the way things are going - probably sooner rather than later. I have a one time only save from night kill. I don't know a lot about my character, can't find much/anything about him online, although I believe he was in a few episodes.

Agreed. Not only does this seem like a weak ability compared to the standard bulletproof, but to be reluctant to give scum info.

First of all, claiming that the mod specifically told you something or claiming that you're waiting from an answer from them has (as of the last game I think) been considered grounds for modkill. (As people use it as a crutch and it's kind og like breaking the fourth wall.)

However, in this case, don't worry about it.

Now, knowing what I know about the TV series, Mr. Anderson was a teacher from Stone Canyon High School, the place Rocky, Aisha, and Adam went before they transferred to Angel Grove. Mr. Anderson's only relevance in the series, I believe, is that Bulk and Skull had to baby-sit his kid. He's definitely not their "favorite teacher", and Arrows wouldn't tell you that. If anything, that info would be right in your role. There isn't much detail to include, let alone leave out, of a potential Mr. Anderson role PM!

I'm fine with going through with this lynch as the chances of Gabbo being scum is much higher (now knowing of my new allies). ;)

Your defense isn't so much a defense as a delayed claim of a character that I'd wager is more obscure and irrelevant than Melissa. Add in the facts that don't add up, and things don't look very trustworthy here.

Also, asking to have someone try to kill you can have many more negtive consequences than positive ones. What if we have a bus driver or you're secretly a nexus? Also, evidence of power doesn't mean evidence of role.

Besides, I don't see why a random teacher would be so safe and I especially don't see why you'd be so upset about claiming right before you attract night kills to yourself.

This bit at least is true. Much to my chagrin, he hasn't been that active in the game I'm running over there... he's lucky he's a lot better than most of them or I'd probably have replaced him by now. Can't afford to lose one of the few good players though :p

And on that note, Gabbs is a very good player, despite his awful record. He's like our version of nZane, I guess.

In the pretty comprehensive Power Rangers Universe wiki, Mr Anderson is mentioned twice in other people's bios, both Power Rangers at some point... however he doesn't even get the potential space to a bio of his own, which to me means he's soooo obscure that he's fluff and probably a fake claim that someone came up with while doing some research on the Power Rangers themselves, specially after seeing Self's claim. (which I'm leaning towards believing for now). Can't say I'm buying what Gabbo is selling just now, I really can't...

And on another note, Sean McFly was posting yesterday afternoon (prior to my information) so I reckon he'll be online again sometime in the next few hours. I believe Gabbo is scum from my list, but that doesn't clear anyone else either. :)

Anyway, if you had this ability you should have either been trying to attract scum attention by being a vocal townie OR just reveal role. Excellent point. From what I know of Gabbo, this is how he'd play the role he claims to have, and since that isn't what he's done there are two options:

1) He's scum and lying
2) His lack of time is weakening his playing style

Still fairly sure Gabbs is the right way to go at this point, but as has been stated before, we should at least wait and see what Sean has to say for himself.

I don't buy Mr. Anderson. Especially when the chick teacher, the one they actually have, would make a far superior fit role. Why would a teacher, mechanically, have any reason to be able to escape a kill? I fake claimed a "professor" with same ability, so I can't really trust this. I need a title and role summary, i.e. How you escape the kill, etc.


Not paying attention, eh? When I got online I was half way to lynch, I threw down a few quick and obvious hints and no-one got it, now I've basically told you how the role works and people still can't be bothered to think.

I'm hesitant to believe there's another teacher in the game, especially one with a power that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The main question is "Why?". Why would a teacher take 2 kills to take out? Powers aren't randomly assigned, they make sense for the characters, at least that's how it seemed so far.

The only way i can see this hindering scum would be for Gabbo to come out all in everybody's faces and then be targeted for a kill. So Mafia would waste a kill. He didn't play it that way.

I'm not happy with how the claim went down, but I've tried to research him and I can't find much out so I didn't believe for one second the name alone would get me off the hook. I gave you the role and a hint to the character and got nothing in return. I tried to comply as easily as possible.

In the pretty comprehensive Power Rangers Universe wiki, Mr Anderson is mentioned twice in other people's bios, both Power Rangers at some point... however he doesn't even get the potential space to a bio of his own, which to me means he's soooo obscure that he's fluff and probably a fake claim that someone came up with while doing some research on the Power Rangers themselves, specially after seeing Self's claim. (which I'm leaning towards believing for now). Can't say I'm buying what Gabbo is selling just now, I really can't...


Arrows watched alot of MMPR and from my research he was in 5 episodes, more than some other characters in this game. Marge, one off character at the dance, great stuff. Roles > Characters, as I'm sure someone of your ability would appreciate, Derek.

Woah woah woah. I believe I let go of my tunnel vision when I stoped my Self crusade (thanks to trypio). I can see quite clearly. You have an obscure role with a passive, nigh unprovable power that doesn't fit very well with the character. Don't call that "tunnel vision."

Add to that the suspicious reveal and we have ourselves a scummy looking player. You already knew that obscure characters were in this game, so don't try pitching any "I thought the character was too obscure..." malarky. And the way you revealed your ability first and THEN the reasoning behind it strikes me as scum scrambling for a claim.

There are many better ways you could have claimed IF you were who you said you are that would not have completely eliminated your effectiveness to the town. As it stands, your passive ability, now revealed, helps nothing. Scum already know you're bulletproof, so you ruined your ability to "soak up hits" several posts ago.

I've played in the high teens of games here and don't remember a role where a random player is obligated to go help another who is in danger. It really doesn't make any sense role-wise. How do they even know? Spidey Sense? And how is that worded in a role PM?

Agreed. It's not like he claimed someone significant enough you have to stop and think about the consequences of being wrong. He's marginalized his power and he's a small potatoes character. This is no "Can I really afford to be wrong about Ernie?" situation. If Gabbo's playing square and would be a mislynch, he's an "oh fudge". Then you dust yourself off and try to make up for it.

If as seems more likely, he's jerking us around, we get another scum and we let the Rangers out to play at night. Hopefully leading to the scum being held at bay and another crack at shrinking their numbers further next day phase. I can see how it would work... another player's character conveniently finds himself in the same scene as Mr. Anderson and whoever's attacking him. Takes the stand and protects, regardless of his role. It's feasible.

I think I'll let Gabbo slide for now, because at first, admittedly I never saw what was so scummy about him. Even if he looks a tad shady now I still wouldn't bet on him being scum. Inactivity can make a player do loads of things... unwise, not thought through, etc. And I do think Sean is another route worth taking, which opposed to UFC has actually posted but nothing of note(still against that UFC lynch, tbh).
