Getting excited about this game, I've gone back and broken out TCY to see what I can glean from it for ideas. One thing it does not have that I would like to see (at a quick glance) is a chart for your top players from your teams history. Maybe set up where you can "tag" a player for this list, maybe a recruit that you get that you think will be a superstar. Sometimes, four years later, you forget the thoughts you had on the kid. Or after the senior graduates, a way to have him on your list before flipping that last season so you can glance back at history without panning through 20 screens to "maybe' find him.

Also, if you like checking out career stats (or being able to tag a player in the above referenced idea), nothing bites so bad as to have a player leave school early for the pros but you don't know until after you've flipped the season, and then it's too late to check out his career numbers because he's disappeared off your roster.

Another thought, regarding records and top performances both single game, season and career; it would be nice to either get an e-mail or a note in the game box score that a record was set or a top performance.

For example, I sim a game and win 52-3. I open the box score to see the scoring lines and line stats and see my RB had 29 carries for 196 yards. It would be nice somehow to see "<NAME> rushes for 196 yards, this is the third best single game performance in <SCHOOL NAME> history."

I like the idea John

One thing I like about TCY is the way it does the records. At the end of each season I look at my team's and individual records, game, season, career. And then look at each category (pass yds, td's) to see where on the alltime team list my current guys are. It helps to show an underclassmen has already accumulated the 4th most rushing yards in team history, and needs xxx more to break the team record.

I think we definitely need something in the hire/fire mechanism to show if a coach is on the hot seat. This was mentioned in reply to one of my threads on another forum. In TCY I was a Top 20 program, graduated a lot of seniors and then lost my sophomore QB in the opening game. We went 3-8 that year (first losing season in sixteen seasons). We rebounded with a 9-3 season, made a bowl game and won and then I was fired. I like what Arlie did sort of with TDCB where you had a report card but the response to my post was that it would be nice to get an e-mail from your AD or even some big boosters about what you were expected to accomplish.

I like that, especially in the SEC where your big boosters have major input
