Are you going to be transfering the data over by using the tool or are you starting from scratch? Im assuming answer 2...
Rick Arnold
09-07-2005, 06:06 PM
No, the first choice offers less work in the long run, so I'll have to opt for that one.
cm_p_u_n_k
09-07-2005, 06:10 PM
Oh, well that's a shock. I suppose it would make it more clean aswell. Will you be including UK like in WreSpi?
Rick Arnold
09-07-2005, 06:11 PM
It's a direct port of the WreSpi scenario, so yes.
cm_p_u_n_k
09-07-2005, 06:14 PM
Cool, but one request. Don't add Old Trafford or Anfield or any other UK huge stadiums that feature in top flight football (soccer) unless you really must. Somehow I can't see Big Daddy bouncing around infront of 55,000 people :)
Hey, don't forget the Saginaw County Events Center (Wendler Arena) in Saginaw, Michigan.
Actually saw one of the first wrestling events I ever saw in my life there in 1987. It's been hosting all sorts of events, including wrestling, since it was built in 1972.
I've been there a bunch of times, car shows, knife & hunting shows... Hell, I even saw Queensryche there in 1991.
Seats about 7600 people.
And, for the time in which the scenario is set, the Olympia Arena in Detorit should be called the "Joe Lewis Arena." The name only changed in the last couple years.
The IMA Sports Arena in Flint, Michigan, has also been host to a ton of wrestling events, concerts, hockey matches, boat shows, and all sorts of other crap. Journey even played there a couple times in 1978 and 1979.
I believe some of the USA Networks wrestling broadcasts in the mid-80s were even taped/shot there.
Not sure on the seating numbers, but calling it "small" would probably be safe. Most of the hockey games I went to there looked to have a few seats over 1000. Prolly seats around 1200 or so.

The site I had gotten the information off of called it Olympia, so thanks for correcting it.
No problem at all. Just figured I'd letcha know.
That's the joy of having a worldwide community like this, we can help one another out.
Also helps I'm a Michigan Native, and I grew up going to events at all the Stadiums that were on the list, plus the ones I mentioned, and you added.

McArthur Court - Eugene, Oregon - holds 9087
Autzen Stadium - Eugene, Oregon - held 41700 in the 80s, if anyone cares, it currently holds 58000
Reser Stadium (in 80s, called Parker Stadium) - Corvallis, Oregon - held 40593 in 80s, now holds 35362 (odd, it's now lower)
Chiles Center (opened in 1984) - Portland, Oregon - holds 5000
Gill Colesium - Corvallis, Oregon - holds 10400
Memorial Colesium (I realise it's already listed) - Portland, Oregon - holds 13000
Those are the ones I found in my home state. The information is mostly from Wikipedia, here's a link to assist you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_indoor_arenas
Hope that helped, don't know how big you plan on making the venue files.
Hmmm... Did a bit more research, and it appears that Olympia Stadium is the OLD stadium in which the Wings played. IT closed in 1986, and seated about 17000.
Joe Louis Arena opened in 1978, and seats a little over 20000.
Seems conceivable that BOTH of these arenas would be available in the 1984 setting of DoTT. That would be especially appropriate during hockey season, when the Joe presents hockey matches 2 or 3 times a week.
And, another addition... The Pontiac Silverdome... Completed in 1975, seating a few hundred over 80000.
"The biggest crowd to ever gather there for a sporting event was on March 29, 1987 for WrestleMania III, when 93,173 fans attended to see Hulk Hogan take on Andrι the Giant."
Totally forgot about that. ::chuckle::
Don't forget Shea Stadium in Flushing, New York, either.

Another arena of the day...
The Seattle Center Coliseum ( Known as KeyArena today )
Seattle, Washington
Capacity - 12,500 - Medium sized or small?
The WWF always had events at the Coliseum when I was growing up. Not sure the exact capacity, but this site (http://www.seattletotems.org/arenacoliseum.html) listed it as having a capacity of 12,300 for hockey; I imagine you could fit quite a bit more for a wrestling event.
Chris2K
09-08-2005, 06:07 AM
The Silverdome only has a 60-70,000 capacity. The 93,000, if true, was heightened by people who stood rather than had a seat.
Grimm

I don't know if it was a regular venue for wrestling back in the day or not, but I know we had wrestling here in Muskegon, Michigan at the L.C. Walker Arena. Seating capacity is 5,000.
Rick Arnold

All the response on this has been great so far. Right now, I'm looking for Tiny to Small venues to fill the spots up a bit. Tiny venues would be any bars or the sort and high schools and Small venues would be your average bingo hall or small armories.

I know you've since removed the promotion from the scenario, but what was the place in Las Vegas that G.L.O.W. shot out from? The Riviera? That would be a tiny or small one.
Rick Arnold
09-08-2005, 12:34 PM
I'll be adding a few Vegas casinos.
The Silverdome has 80,325 permanent seats.
For events like concerts and wrestling, they put a ton of seats on the field surface, which, along with the standing room, is what pushed it up to 93k.
Straight from www.silverdome.com:
"The two highest attended events at the Silverdome were in 1987 when 93,682 people visited the stadium to hear Pope John Paul II conduct mass and 93,173 fans packed the stadium for Wrestlemania III in 1987."
Oh yes, and another stadium, although not Small... Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Built in 1974. Seats about 5k. Has hosted all sorts of events, not the least of which are the hockey matches of the Kalamazoo Wings of the IHL. Elvis even played there once.
Looking for some small and tiny venues as well. I know there are several small wrestling feds in Michigan, just taking a bit to hunt up some info on where they put on their shows.

This sounds brilliant, and with the promtion relationships in the game now then the NWA could be set up properly, sharing workers. Really looking forward trying to sign the champ to a match, getting the hottest tag teams to work for me and having huge shows at arenas like the silverdome.

It's all based on a system I'm working on to scale arenas, seeing as most of the Very Big arenas should be Huge and the Big arenas should be Very Big. So it's skewering them.

Most of the sizes will be skewered... so that each region will really only end up with atmost two Huge venues, usually football stadiums and a mix of Very Big, which end up being places like the Spectrum, MSG and the Boston Garden.
And Adam has confirmed it in the chat, instead of scouring the net for obscure '83 sponsors, this year, I'll be scouring the net for obscure '83 TV shows! As my plans are to have the networks and competing shows be actual shows from '83 and '84.
So that means aside from having to compete with the WWF's Tuesday Night Titans, you also get to mess with The A-Team... and After MASH...
Of course, I'd be worried about having to face Manimal...

But making a certain amount of huge arenas in a certain venue isn't real to do. Like Maybe there's 4 big ones in the northeast, and 1 in the northwest. Don't go ahead and only make 1 northeast so it's fair, make it real. That would be saying take Tom Brady off the Patriots because they're too good!
D. Boon's Ghost
09-11-2005, 04:16 PM
I agree with coldheat; if you level the playing field, it takes away what makes certain areas of the country unique. There were reasons that particular regions of the country were so heavily contested by promotions.
Rick Arnold
09-11-2005, 04:24 PM
Well, they're still be level, as it means the Northeast will have more Very Big arenas then other regions.
Of course, it's all a matter of testing it at this point, as I don't know what effects having 10 Huge venues in one region is going to do, compared to 2 Huge venues and 8 Very Big.

You have the first one wrong. It would be the Cumberland County Civic Center. But a good call putting it at Medium. Except for maybe the stadium where the Maine Guides were playing in Old Orchard Beach (wanna call it Guide Park but can't remember at the moment) it would be the biggest venue you'd find in Maine
And since you were saying you were needing Tiny and Small venues, you could probably throw in the Portland Expo for a Small. They've been know to run indy shows at times. Not sure whether they took wrestling shows this far back but they have run quite a few since the mid-90's
And you'll also want the Lewiston Armory for another Small venue. They were THE arena of choice when the Savoldi-run ICW ran shows in Maine during the mid to late 80's.
For another Tiny, you could use the Topsham Fairgrounds. The one indy card I actually managed to get to when I lived in Maine was held here as a major attraction for the fair.
The aforementioned Old Orchard Beach should also probably figure in somewhere. Probably as a Small or Medium. I don't specifically remember any shows running there. But other than the Topsham Fairgrounds, it would have been the most likely choice for an open air show run in Maine.

Oh and I almost forgot the Alfond Arena in Orono where the University of Maine plays their hockey and basketball games. Capacity at this point in time would be 3800 and sell-outs would have been a regular thing at the Alfond. So it seems reasonable that a wrestling promotion might have been able to book it when Black Bear sports were off-season .
Here are venues that World Class ran in Texas:
I'm not sure on sizes...
City Coliseum - Austin, Texas
Heart of Texas Coliseum - Waco, Texas
Will Rogers Coliseum - Fort Worth
Reunion Arena - Dallas
Cotton Bowl - Dallas
Texas Stadium - Irving, Texas
Mesquite Rodeo Arena - Mesquite, Texas
Frank W. Mayborn Civic Center - Temple, Texas
Taylor County Coliseum - Abilene, Texas
Lubbock Memorial Civic Center - Lubbock, Texas
i was gonna make a similar post, because i think some of the below are incorrect:
Cotton Bowl - Very Big
Fair Park Coliseum - Medium
Fort Worth Convention Center - Medium
Hemisphere Arena - Medium
Jimmy Jack's BBQ Shack - Tiny
Mesquite Rodeo Arena - Medium
Reunion Arena - Big
Sam Houston Coliseum - Big
Texas Stadium - Huge
The Sportatorium - Medium
The Summit - Very Big
growing up in Ft. Worth, i dont believe there ever was a Ft. Worth Convention Center - rather, the Tarrant County Convention Center, where i saw everyone from the Village People to Van Halen as a kid.
also - having Texas Stadium as Huge and the Cotton Bowl as Very Big appears to be incorrect, as the Cotton Bowl holds about 3,000 more people than Texas Stadium.
also, having the FW Convention Center/Tarrant Country Convention Center being the same size as The Sportatorium would be in correct. it's a lot closer in size to Reunion Arena (13,500 to about 18,000) than it is The Sportarium.
For that matter, the Houston Summit (about 16,000) sat less people than Reunion Arena. Sam Houston Coliseum was smaller than all of them, at about 9,000. And Fair Park Coliseum was even smaller, with about 7200.
Hemisphere Arena, btw, holds over 21,000.
so, if i were to adjust the above, it would look something like:
Cotton Bowl - Huge
Texas Stadium - Huge
Hemisphere Arena - Very Big
Reunion Arena - Very Big
The Summit - Big
Tarrant County Convention Center - Big
Sam Houston Coliseum - Medium
Fair Park Coliseum - Medium
Mesquite Rodeo Arena - Small
The Sportatorium - Small
Jimmy Jack's BBQ Shack - Tiny (is this even real?? LOL)
just my two cents, although it's probably a nickel's worth...

WI arena:
Madison - Dane County Colliseum - 9,131 for basketball
Green Bay - Brown City Arena - I would say the same as Dane County (10,000)
Milwaukee - Summerfest Grounds - I would say this is similar to Dane/Brown arenas... about 10,000 or so... I went to a show here when I was 3, have pictures, no way was there more than 10-15,000 there...
I don't know about smaller arenas...
these were all around in the early 80s... I went to a wrestling show in '85 ('86?) at Summerfest, and those grounds have been there in some form for a lot longer than that... so I know they DID do wrestling shows there (and I went to a WWF show in '85 or '86)
so.. yeah...

Staten Island, NY - Wagner College Gym
Philadelphia, PA - Spectrum
Pittsburgh, PA - Civic Arena

Can't have Portland Wrestling without the Portland Sports Arena (in Portland Oregon, naturally) in the game. It served as PW's "Home arena" from 1968 until the promotion was sold to Sandy Barr, around 1992.
Another place of note is Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene, OR. It shares a special place in the hearts of PW fans as many saw their first live event there. :) Not sure on sizes though.
I found an interesting article here: http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:0XvFavzfP2EJ:members.tripod.com/kaar1700/tv12.html+%22Portland+Wrestling%22%2B%22Don+Owens% 22&hl=en
Kliever National Guard Armory - Portland, Oregon - Very Small
I'm not sure that one is period, but if it is, it's funny. The latest incarnation of Portland Wrestling holds its events from there now (after all these years, despite McManon's WWF, despite ownership changing hands from Don Owens to Sandy Barr to Don Coss, despite the death of the territories, and despite wrestling losing its "cool" factor, there's still a PW). :)
Good to see some fellow Oregonians helping out on this too!

Well, alot of the old promotions have been reborn in recent years...
Georgia Championship recently reopened, runned by long-time wrestler, Jerry Oates. Mid-South, Championship Wrestling from Florida and Central State again as well... Hell, they're all under NWA control again too. And the AWA is reopened and an NWA-sized power.
Seems like a great homage.

The list should be updated now... and with two days left, I should be getting to work on the actual scenario very soon.
And on that note, I should lay down some rules...
The Scenario itself will NOT be released until it's complete and we feel it's ready to be released. Any replies to this post, PMs or IMs asking us for a "demo" will not be acknowledged, or depending on my current mood... yelled at.
And Oyaji, if you see this, PM me or something here so we can get in touch soon.
We're also looking for anyone that considers themselves "experts" on Mexican Wrestling of the early '80s as well as British.

Hey hey,
A few months ago, I collected info on early 80s All Japan and New Japan tour stops. I came up with a solid list, but I went an extra step and added in other venues not used for wrestling but would be eventually. I made sure each prefecture had at least one venue... By looking at the list of American venues, you'll probably not wanna include all of them, especially the venues of similar sizes in less frequented areas... It's sorted by island (Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku & Hokkaido) and then by prefecture.
At the time, I included the Japanese text so when searching Japanese sites it was easier for myself... I'm not sure how many people have the Japanese text installed but I don't think it'll hurt anybody.
Obviously, the more frequented areas like Tokyo have more venues... I made sure the buildings were in existance by 1983 (give or take a year) and were still open.
I hope you guys find them to be of use. Here we are:

I am very excited to have the DOTT in my TEW! I enjoyed playing the mod on Wrestling Spirit, until my computer was stolen and I lost the spirit forever...
The idea of being able to have multiple data is great. I can go from present day with Rave X, to DOTT era, and to the Cornelleverse with just a few clicks!
Do your thing and I hope everything ports over smoothly.

For WWF,you definitely want to include the aformentioned Agricultural Hall in Allentown,PA (They had TV tapings there quite a bit from the 60's until the late 80's when they moved their shows to Stabler Arena in Bethlehem). This would be a Tiny venue.
You may also want to include Hamburg Field House in Hamburg,PA. -Tiny
Up until the late 80's a great majority of their TV tapings were at one of those two venues.

Wow. I've been lurking on these forums ever since Adam joined GDS. Been lurking around the whole EW community since EWD 1.3, but this topic has drawn me out.
I just have to say, The Portland Sports Arena in Portland, Oregon is WAY too big. That place was a very small arena. It only held 2,000 people.

A few questions for those interested in the DOTT:TEW scenario. The first two are obviously more serious than the last:
1) As far as the U.S. is concerned, would you rather have the locations broken down to individual states of the union with each state having an appropriate amount of historic venues - or leave them as they basically are in the demo, albeit broken down a tad further?
Keep in mind, in the end it will be Rick's decision. While I made final decisions on WreSpi's DOTT - Rick will be 'Da Man on this; whatever comes about on this release will be his doing. ;)
Opinions, though, are most welcomed.
2) Concerning Storylines: Would you want the old-time storylines to be written as tight as possible - or would you want them to be loosely written to allow easier modifications during gameplay?
I notice a lot of comments on each side of the fence, relating to storylines, and wasn't quite sure which way to go.
3) Someone second me here: Who want's G.L.O.W.?? :p
I understand they weren't exactly in the timeline - but I quite enjoyed them in the TEW04 1983 scenario we did. Plus, David McClain really needs a better hellhole to work than Polynesian Pro. If anyone deserves it, it's that guy. Heh.
Danke.

Great to hear that the DOTT scenario is making progress! You KNOW how big a fan I am!
As far as questions:
1) Broken down by state would be cool, so I can tell where some of the venues are if they don't say it in their name.
2) I say make the storylines as tight as possible. That way we can really relive them! (I'm gonna break Wahoo's leg!!! :D ) Players can always loosen them if they want to. Or you could add a strict version and a loose version, if you want to increase the workload! This is the feature I am most anticipating, just so you know!
3) Bring on the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling! That Mountain Fuji(?) still haunts my dreams! ;) (If I totally made up that name, please forgive me. I did used to watch GLOW as a kid, but that was a looooong time ago!)
Anyway fellas, good luck with the scenario. Take your time and do it up right! I know it'll be worth the wait!
As always in awe of your talents,
XoX

You know, it would help me alot if you gave the location of the venue... otherwise I can't add it. If it is in fact the Coliseum of Rome, it won't be added, being a venue of Europe. Europe is being converted to Australia.

I think that they just meant that the Wrestlemania crowd was the biggest gathering for a sporting event at that venue.
Big football matches could break the 100,000 attendance quite often in the first half of the 20th century, so 93,000 is - relatively - nothing.
Of course, the suggestion that 93,173 attended WM III is b******s. The WWF and Silverdome inflated the figures - there was about 80,000 there, which is still nothing to be sneezed at, mind you...

Well, I must say, I f'n love that title screen there, Johnny. Beats the **** out of anything I could have done. Even if it's missing the great Gino Hernandez and the Brainbusters :) We were looking for someone to redesign all the backgrounds, screens and buttons of TEW05 for DOTT, to give it a pen-and-paper and older feel, if you're ever interested.
As for GLOW, it's on the fence at the moment, as I'd much rather see the Japan women's wrestling make the cut first. Hell, I'd rather see an all-midget wrestling promotion and Ted the Promoter Bear make it in before GLOW.
D Boon and I are working on it as hard as we can, it shouldn't be forever, but the real tedious stuff like editing worker stats is hitting hard.

It was the Harley Race Loaded Headbutt of DOOM that found Saddam in his hole and headbutted him in surrendering.
It also knocked Lanny Poffo straight, but a week later, knocked him back normal.
It's so efficient, it could end terrorism, war and any other problems in one swift motion, but the government won't allow it.
It also broke the levees in New Orleans... but the government covered that up.
So basically, the Harley Race Loaded Headbutt of DOOM is bad news. You don't want to mess with it.

Not yet, Larry - but it's chugging along at a decent clip.
I honestly felt that WreSpi: DOTT was one of the best things I've been a part of, as far as this gaming stuff goes. I have to say, though, that TEW05: DOTT might very well surpass it. And that's saying a lot, considering my general dislike for the insider route that TEW takes. While I prefer the kayfabe approach that WreSpi adhered to, there's just something magical about running McMahon straight into the ground by using every dirty trick he mastered against him. :)
Keep the faith. We'll do our best to replicate whatever amount of satisfaction that DOTT provided to people. Hopefully, we'll succeed.

----------------
* About a third of the way finished with the free agent workers.
* All of the locations/arenas previously mentioned in this thread have been added into the Locations File, as well as about 40 Mexican spots.
* I've recycled my TEW04:1983 system of TV Networks; cable television is still an infant, though it will greatly effect those able to get on them.
* The Events/TV Shows are recycled from my work on WreSpi: DOTT, with a couple of changes - PPW is now off the air, etc.
* 40 Other TV Shows - ranging from The A Team to WKRP in Cincinnati to Bobby Davro on the Box.
* Over 200 Tag Teams leveled.
* A Delicate web of promotional pacts just waiting for the rebirth of the anti-chri... er, Vince McMahon to take over the world from stupified owners.
* Match File scaled to the time period.
* 300 Gimmicks - the default ones scaled (minus a few, heh), the TEW04: 1983 ones I did, and a bunch I added to fit the worker conversions
----------------
Storylines:
Completed: (With some 60-odd DOTT specific angles to help better immerse the player)
* The Grumpy Mentor (Mr. Wrestling II and Magnum T.A.)
* The Turning of the Superfly, Parts One and Two
- First Part centers on the Backlund series and Buddy Rogers revealing Lou Albano's treachery
- Second Part centers on Albano's Revenge in the form of Don Muraco. Storyline ends with the famous Superfly Leap off the cage. ;)
* Superstar's Quest for the Gold (Masked Superstar breaks Eddie Gilbert's neck to inspire a 3 match series with Backlund)
* Hot Rod and The Superfly (Piper's Pit Coconut attack leads to a short and violent feud, complete with silent bodyguards and little cousins out for revenge)
* Rock and Wrestling (Open the floodgates, Mertle, it's Sports Entertainment; Piper, Captain Lou, Cyndi Lauper, Hogan, Mr. T, 'Ace' Orton, Mr. Wonderful, and a delightful midget getting a new haircut!
* Heel saves unknown Brother from attack (Re: Buzz Sawyer saving Brett Wayne from Jake Roberts and Paul Ellering, then reveals the relationship between the two.)
* Dynamic Duo Split Up (Tully Blanchard turns on Gino Hernandez)
* Blood is Thicker Than Water (Ole Anderson turns on Thunderbolt Patterson)
* The Devil and the American Dream, Parts One and Two (so far - heh)
- Centers on Kevin Sullivan falling for Satan and the hijinks that ensue between he and Dusty Rhodes.
Incomplete:
* The Birth of the Four Horsemen
* I'm From Hollywood (Andy Kaufman v. Jerry Lawler)
* Badstreet Comes to Texas (Freebirds v. Von Erich war)
* Mad Dog and Wildfire (the Buzz Sawyer v. Tommy Rich war - at least the last 10 months of it)

There we have it. I'm currently running a test run of the WWF with the data at hand and it's a blast, I must say. I'm aiming to make a long lasting game that is challenging for the player that wants to play by the rules of the day; i.e., working within the backroom political pacts of the day - yet also fun for the cut-throat raider. So far, at least, it seems to be working.
Once the remaining workers are completed, another battery of tests will be run to pick out the more glaring problems. After that, I'll let this pup out to those who want it.
Thanks for the interest.

Coolness. This is something I'm really looking forward to.. how will the game handle the changing of a more Pure early 80's era to the Sports Entertainment era of WWF? That's going to be interesting
Plus it's too bad that in my limited workings with the editor, I couldn't figure out how to set the business.. with the massive influx of fans Rock n Wrestling brings in..

Sounds fantastic so far, Eric! :D
Can't wait to try out some of those storylines and glad to see you decided to go with GLOW! ;)
I'm kind of busy working on my latest paper, so take your time! :p

Heh - nope. It's all in how fast you can run away.
I would rather keep chugging than bore you guys with vanity declarations on the progress of the scenario. But now that you mention it...
I'd rather not release the angles/storylines until the entire scenario is finished, JohnnyI. I feel that the era specific angles, in particular, won't make too much sense in any of the modern data already out.
I've fleshed out the Mid-South promotion, though, as far as providing them with a good batch of starting stories; The Grumpy Mentor - Parts One and Two, The Turning of Hacksaw (Butch Reed turns good), and The Midnight Express v. Rock & Roll Express (which features a side feud between Jim Cornette and Bill Watts).
Ryan Russell, who posts as Oyaji in these forums, has once again did a magnificent job on the Japanese data. I'm darned impressed with his work, and I'm confident those who are fans of the Japanese scene will be blown away.
That leaves about 20 Free Agents to be completed, as well as the CMLL, World Wrestling Council, and Joint (UK) rosters needing finished. After that, I'd like to run a couple of more tests. Ryan's current testing has been resulting in some fab results, but I'd like to squash whatever oddities that remain.
Give or take, I would envision that it shouldn't take longer than a week. The foundation is solid - now it just needs some window dressings.
Thanks for the interest.

Looking forward to this one. It'll make a really interesting dynasty, probably for a load of people...wonder who can make the best job of not using hindsight. hehe

Can't wait Eric, this scenario is the main reason I bought the game, thanks for all your work.

Ditto that, I just bought the game today and the only reason is DOTT which is amazing. Thanks for your work.

If this update is made by the same guys who made the 1983 scenario for TEW 04...my congrats to them. You guys are incredible. All the time and effort put into a scenario that is over 20 years ago! I still play the TEW 04 1983 scenario today! :)

Thanks a lot for the kind words.
While I can't take full credit for the TEW04: 1983 scenario past a certain point (v1.3), it was a fun project. WreSpi: DOTT was born of that last TEW04 data I worked on, which in turn has led to the upcoming TEW05: DOTT.
Different animals for different games, but the underlying sentiment was there: The Territorial era of Professional Wrestling is where it's at. :)
If I could allow someone else to reexperience the entertaining characters and situations of the time - even if through my nostalgia-misted eyes, then it was worth every bit of effort that went into it.
Finishing touches are being put on the data, by the way. The gameworld is finished and runs well - the paint is drying on the snazzy new graphics - and I'm enjoying the hell out of playing a CWF game.
:)
Take care and thanks again.

Just so you know, the Greensboro Coliseum (Greensboro, North Carolina), was rather small back then. It has, since then, been built twice that I can remember to improve the size of it.
....yea....I was born in the Greensboro Coliseum during a cage match...sue me.
The place was tiny back in the day. (83)

Really, really looking forward to this, like everybody else. I can't wait to get a World Class game going, especially after getting a Best of World Class tape a few weeks ago. Man, that was good stuff...
Thanks a lot, for all your hard work on this, guys.

Thank, guys - keep an eye out today or tomorrow; I'd like to get this initial release out within the next day.
... Are you guys using my pics?
No, TCP1. Most of the pictures I've put together came from either the TEW04: 1983 or WreSpi: DOTT scenarios. As both of those projects were led by myself, I've no qualms in stealing from them. :)
Showtime4Lajf, as World Class was always one of my favorites, I made sure to work them over pretty well. The starting date is a month after Terry Gordy slams that cage door on Kerry, thereby igniting the massive war between the Freebirds and Von Erichs. As some people remember, Fritz always ran a short crew - so the starting roster is somewhat thin. The good thing about that, though: World Class is at war with Joe Blanchard's Southwest Championship - so Gino Hernandez is ripe for the taking. :)
Thanks.

I've come back and checked this probably six times since he told me to 'keep an eye' out for release soon - safe to say the community can't wait for this one!

No joke. It keeps drawing me away from my work to check. It's hard to be patient when you keep seeing Piper crack a cocoanut over Snuka's head in your mind over and over...
