Where It All Begins Again. Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
For those who don't get the reference: Marvel Comics, about seven years ago or so, started a line of comics called their Ultimate line... Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, etc. It was restarting the characters from the begining, updated for the modern age, with a good many things different but the core ideas being the same. Given that the Cornellverse has been updated... hey, why not? The only rule is that we're going to stay as a Hybrid fed unless we have a really good reason for it (IE, my booking style can't adjust, or it just gets plain-old boring, which I suspect will b the case).
That being said... Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
A late-night game of poker. Lots of alcohol consumed. In the final hand of the night, all the players had dropped out but two. Cliff Anderson, owner of Coastal Zone Combat Wrestling, held the ten and jack of spades. William Peers, a down-on-his-luck wrestling fan, held a pair of Queens. Showing was the Nine and King of Spades, the Nine of Hearts, and the Three of Clubs. The two men looked at each other and their piles of chips, nearly depleted. "I'm nearly out... I'll add CZCW to the pot, even tho it's not balanced now." "Well, we'll balance it out then. My services for a year, for no pay, if you win." The final card is flipped... and William pumps his fist in the air. "Three queens! I believe I own a wrestling company." "Actually, Billy... that's the Queen of Spades, so that gives me... a straight flush." "Bullsh-" "You work for me now, boy. Watch your langauge. And I'll see you in the morning... hangover or no."
Week 1, December 2005. Monday
It wasn't -so- bad. Sure, he wasn't getting paid... but Cliff had given Peers permission to make whatever changes he liked, as long as it was booking-related. With that in mind, he took a look at his roster.
Peers' first act was to request Cliff and Fox Mask become the core of a booking committee to bounce ideas off of. If anyone else worked into the main event spot, they would be added as well. Thinking about it, he added Farrah and Pee-Wee, as they would be spending more time backstage and in-ring, respectively. All three 'staff members' were also asked to act as road agents.
The next part was tricky... discussing the roster with his booking team, and with the roster themselves. Oddly enough, several people wanted to be in the main event... and Fox Mask said he shouldn't be there. We needed two more main eventers, one more midcarder, one dedicated road agent, and a color commentator... while we had one too many upper-midcarders, three two many lower midcarders, and one too many openers. Moves would have to be made. When all was said and done, we had a roster. Slightly bigger than it needed to be, and missing a dedicated road agent, but a roster nonetheless.
------------------
COASTAL ZONE DOWNLOAD: Roster
Staff
Cliff Anderson -- The owner, also served as the announcer for the matches.
Farrah Hesketh -- Color Commentator. Quite a looker. Works as a ref for AAA.
Pee-Wee Germain -- Ref, and not a bad one at that.
Main Event
[F]Fox Mask -- All-Around flyer and long-time CZCW vet.
[H]"The Nightmares", Insane Machine and Primal Rage -- One's a flashy wrestler long ignored by the mainstream wrestling world, the other's a goth brawler you don't want to get in the way of.
Upper Midcard
[F]"The Fly Boys", Donnie J and Jimmy P -- Formerly of TCW's Cruiserweight division until it was killed off. Donnie was the more talented of the two, being more entertaining and a better performer; Jimmy is a decent performer, but didn't have a lot else going for him.
[F]Frankie Perez -- He can't sell worth a damn, but he's not the type who expects to take many hits.
[H]Jeremiah Moose -- Flashy youngster, worried about becoming just like Insane Machine: Old and going nowhere fast.
Midcard
[H]"The Gilbert Brothers", Jesse and Joe Gilbert -- Hockey-themed team who work as high-fliers mainly because they're not very good at anything else.
[F]E.M.M. Moe -- The entertaining joker.
Lower Midcard
[H]Flying Jimmy Foxx -- An entertaining flyer with some good momentum built up.
[H]Plague -- AKA Black Eagle. Arguably one of the most entertaining men on the roster.
[F]Snap Dragon -- Long-time vet. Nothing special, but he knows more about the business than most rookies realize even exists.
[F]Valiant -- Decent technical wrestler with the perfect looks for a babyface.
Opener
[H]Prince Adam -- Huge guy with the right looks to become a superstar someday.
[F]Remmy Skye -- "Psyche Out". Amazingly flashy, charismatic, and can bounce back from any injury. The only man more likely to be a superstar in the future than Prince Adam.
-------------------------------
Next, Peers took a look at the titles, and shook his head. Snap Dragon held the Coastal Zone Championship, the Gilberts had the tag team titles, and Plague helpd the Coastal zone Xtreme high-flying title. up until the Gilberts were promoted, all titles had been held by lower-midcarders. That would have to be changed. And it would need to be changed... tomorrow. Peers decided that having four shows a year wasn't good enough... and gave 24 hours notice that they'd be performing the next night. After it was pointed out that SWF does a show on Tuesdays, Peers deicded to book the show for Thursday instead.
Week 1, December 2005. Tuesday.
BHOTWG released three workers: Hitomi, Umeki, and Silver Shark. Didn't mean a whole lot to us right now. Alex DeColt won the CGC World Title, didn't mean much to us, either. But what did matter was that Cliff came to Peers and gave him three demands that he would have to meet. First, the Coastal Zone must not fall in size over the next year. Second, it must grow in size in the next two years. And thirdly, one year from today, there must be more money in the Zone bank account than there is right now... $25,000. Peers accepted the demands... it's not like he had a choice.
Over the next few days, Peers sat back and watched a few shows, wondering what he'd do with 'his' new roster. He only had an hour to work with, what to do, what to do. Easy answer: Work the cheap workers. this meant the Gilberts and Primal Rage would be there... it also meant that Farrah, as color commentator, would be making more money than Cliff. That wouldn't do. She was removed from the Color position. Working off of costs, Peers put together something that passed for a card... and waited.
First-ever Thursday Night Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Venue: Southwest (Tiny) -- 233 paid tickets
Opening Match: Primal Rage def. Prince Adam by countout, 14:49 (E). Adam was visibly tiring near the end, but we were hoping that would make the countout work better.
Midcard Match: Gilbert Brothers(c) def. Valiant and Remmy Skye by Slapshot, 19:55 (C-). Both Gilberts were getting tired by the end, we may have to stick them in shorter matches.
Main Event Ladder Match: Fox Mask def. Plague(c) via Title Retrieval, 15:47 (C-).
Final Rating: C-
All in all, the show was considered a success, but the booking team wasn't sure about using Remmy Skye for such a long match when he's supposed to be an opener. The real question, in Peers' mind, was if they made any money on the show. The answer was a resounding 'NO', having lost over three thousand dollars.
Elsewhere, Chris Caufield won the DAVE Unified Title, and SWF signed seven new workers, including T-Rex, Vin Tanner, Corporal Doom, and Danny B Bling. Hopefully, the Coastal Zone would be under their radar long enough to begin making money on shows... and hopefully, that would be soon.

Week 1, December 2005, Sunday
Let the politics begin. Peers got word that four of the employees weren't happy with their pushes... Snap Dragon, Remmy Skye, Plague, and Prince Adam. Well... pretty much everyone on the low end of the card. Swearing softly, Peers let his booking team rearrange pushes how they saw fit.
Main Eventers: Face -- "The Fly Boys"
Main Eventers: Heel -- Plague
Upper Midcard: Face -- Frankie Perez, Remmy Skye, Fox Mask
Upper Midcard: Heel -- Snap Dragon, Insane Machine
Midcard: Face: -- None
Midcard: Heel: Jeremiah Moose, Flying Jimmy Foxx, Prince Adam
Lower Midcard: Face -- E.M.M. Moe, Valiant
Lower Midcard: Heel -- Primal Rage
Opener: Face -- None
Opener: Heel -- "The Gilbert Brothers"
Well, that's one heck of a re-arrangement. Our other main problem right now was having five people with A/A+ momentum, and only four in the D or lower range. With another show coming up on Thursday, we'd have to see what we could do about that. Our other other main problem was that our face main eventers were very, very expensive. That pretty much meant Plague was going to main event the shows, most likely against Fox Mask. We could handle that. But w had to get the tag titles off the Gilberts ASAP... but our only face tag team was, as I said, expensive. And we sill had our championship on Snap Dragon.
Attempts to negotiate with Curt O'Malley to come in a a road agent reached an impass when he simply wanted way too much money. Cliff would continue in that role for now. SWF signed more people away, including Joey Minnesota and Captain USA, and then had Skull DeBones defeat Runaway Train for the title.
Thursday comes around again...
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Venue: Southwest (Tiny) -- 193 paid tickets
Opening (very expensive ladder) match: Fly Boys def. Gilbert Brothers(c) by Title Retrieval, 14:35 (C-).
Midcard (Championship) match: Frankie Perez def. Snap Dragon(c) by P-Clutch, 17:45 (C-).
Main Event (Xtreme) match: Plague def. Fox Mask(c) by rollup with tights, 17:36 (C-).
Final Rating: C-
That was going to be expensive... but it wasn't a bad show, really. We had now lost almost nine thousand dollars in two short weeks... but now, maybe, we could try to stop hemmoraging money... it might be worth it bringing in a couple no-names as openers... and lo, it was done, as two new names were brought into the Coastal Zone.
American Elemental -- Young, brilliant high flier. Slotted into a Midcard Face role.
Kashmir Singh -- Powerful-for-his-size Indian wrestler. Given an Opener Face position. Works very cheap.
And once more, Thursday came around...
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Venue: Southwest (Tiny) -- 463 paid tickets
Opening Match: Primal Rage def. Kashmir Singh by unseen low blow, 14:55 (E). The two just didn't seem to click.
Midcard Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def Flying Jimmy Fox by P-Clutch, 18:05 (D). The two just didn't click, and the match had a lack of flow in the middle.
Main Event Xtreme Match: American Elemental def. Plague(c) by countout at 20:33 (C). Plague decided to leave to avoid the risk of losing his title to someone on their debut, and it seems his character could use soem freshening up.
Final Rating: C-
Hey, we did better, given the number of tickets sold (We promoted it as a medium event instead of a small... still expensive, tho). We lost under three thousand on the show. Is we can get down to losing just, say, two thousand a show... Let's give it a shot!
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Venue: Southwest (Tiny) -- 442 paid tickets
Opening Match: Jesse Gilbert def. Kashmir Singh by Joe interference, 14:51 (D).
Midcard Match: Valiant def. Joe Gilbert by Kashmir Interference, 11:53 (C-). Good chemistry between these two.
Main Event Xtreme Triangle Ladder Match: Plague(c) def. Fox Mask, American Elemental by title retrieval, 23:50 (C-).
Overall Rating: C-
Well, still a lot of tickets bought... and still a loss of under three thousand dollars, but not quite down to two yet. For four shows, we're averaging two grand a show in show costs... and $3,200 a show in worker costs? That can't be right... someone must have a huge downside on their contract...
But no, nobody did. Elemental and Kashmir had very small ones, so they might as well be used... the rest didn't, so we'd just see what we could do to keep costs down. Plague/Elemental looked like the way to go for a while. Peers was fairly confident he could pull that off.
But wrestling in general was in trouble. DAVE and CGC had both lost their TV time slots. The only place interest in wrestling was rising was Mexico. The economy was failing all over the place. Maybe... maybe there was no place for the Coastal Zone after all?
(Note: Welcome to the Coastal Zone will not be on hiatus until I can find enough money to buy the game. Most likely, the second week of October. Maybe third.)

Rock on, brother.
No place for the Coastal Zone? Say it ain't so.
I don't know if I can go almost a month without the next installment. This is why most shows work on a weekly model.

After fooling around with the demo a little bit... I'm thinking we may be changing over to Cutting Edge, as they're a bit for forgiving of the occasional angle, and I can't grok how to do a decent dynasty with just matches.

Great to see you back at writing, infinitywpi! I hope this will become as good and popular as the non-Ultimate version of the diary and that you'll finish a certain other project of yours soon. ;)
Yeah, I thought Adam had changed Hybrid whenever I looked over the descriptions. Hybrid seems so much like Pure now, I don't know why he went and changed it. I guess it might have been too easy or something.

I'm pissed! Why did you make Fox Mask lose the belt so fast?! He might be on the booking team but nobody gives him any respect and listen to his ideas!
Just kidding. Happy to see it back for the 2005 version! Go cutting edge style baby, give us some angles!

That's one of them... the second one, actually. The first one goes from 2004 to 2009, aka "The non-televised era". Basicly, taking CZCW from where they started in the first EW and taking them up to the level of the Big Three (and replacing DAVE in that list). That can be found at: http://www.400softwarestudios.com/invboard/upload/index.php?showtopic=60707
The second, and shorter, one which Greg helpfully linked, is 2009 to early 2010, the televised era.The reason for the split is that I got burned out and had to do a fresh start to get back into things.
This'll be interesting, as Hybrid doesn't letyou get away with a lot of the storyline stuff, so we'll see...at least I've got time to think about it, as it'll be at least a week before I can afford the game...

Welcome to the Real World is finally over... so as a treat, I bought TEW2k5. Which means I need to say something else... Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- January -- Week 1
The wrestling industry was, to put it mildly, becoming a has-been fad. DAVE and CGC (or was it GCG... Peers, an American, couldn't tell them apart) had both lost their TV time slots. Buisness was bad all over. But still, Peers took it personally that he'd blown through half the Zone's funding already. As part of an attempt to cut costs, the weekly Welcome to the Coastal Zone shows were cut down ot half an hour long, instead of a full hour. And negotiations were requested with several of the Zone's highest-paid talent, looking to talk them down to a more reasonable level. In the Wednesday Night Wars, TCW was beating SWF by a slight margin (B+ to B-), while everyone else in the USA was an also-ran.
As part of the effort to reduce costs, Peers looked up some new talent. First up was rookie Canadian Frankie Dee, a guy with good technical skills but not much else. But he was young and eager to learn. Second was Mikey James, a solidly-build high-flier who could also hold his own in the martial arts. Negotiations with the 'expensive contingent' failed to lower their contracts, so these two were brought in as a contingency plan in case others had to be let go.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) - 418 paid tickets
Opening Match: Prince Adam def. Kashmir Singh, 10:22, pinfall (E). Well, that was certainly a mistake.
Frankie Perez came out to state that he'd heard Snap Dragon was talking about how he should've never lost the title... so Frankie offered him a rematch for the title (D). Crowd didn't like it. We need a new kind of crowd.
Main Event Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def. Snap Dragon, 13:52, P-Clutch (C-). Not much to say about this one, beyond, well, that's what we were expecting.
Final Rating: C-
Another two thousand dollars down the drain. Peers sighed quietly and went to Cliff, asking for the promotion to be changed to a more Cutting-Edge style. Cliff, naturally, refused. Peers was going to need to find a way to make things work with what he had.
2006 -- January -- Week 2
Frankie Dee was put into an oener push, and Mikey was given an Upper Midcard push. Frankie would be a good jobber-fodder for the faces (our only other ption for heel openers were the Gilberts), and Mikey might be a good matchup with Perez at some point in the future.
GCG (Or CGC... the one that didn't lose it's slot earlier) lost their TV slot as well. Farrah became one of the most popular women in the buisness, signing on with NYCW in addition to her duties with AAA, CGC, and CZCW.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 449 Paid Tickets
Opening Match: Mikey James def Valiant, 8:15, pinfall w/ropes for leverage (D). James pretty much dominates as much as you can without burying the other guy.
Main Event Ladder Xtreme Title Match: Plague(c) def. Remmy Skye, 14:59, retrival (C-). That's about it. Maybe it was time to accept we didn't have the right people for a good ladder match right now.
Final Rating: D. The crowd was upset there were only two segments. Well, they didn't like the challenge angle we did last week... Modern fans -suck-!
It turns out that part o fthe reason for the so-so main event may have been Remmy Skye. The two men had been instructed to script out their match ahead of time, but Skye showed up very late to the show, almost missing his cue to go to the ring. Remmy was given a warning. Still, another two thousand dollars had been lost... at this rate, the Zone had until the end of the month.
2006 -- January -- Week 3
Okay, so... cheapest show we can do with three matches? Peers smiled and called up four workers, letting them know they'd be pulling double-duty this Thursday. Still, it was becoming clear that without a good road agent, things were going very poorly.
This week, SWF got the B+, TCW got the B- in the Wednesday Night War. Oh, how Peers longed for the day he could compete with them...
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 461 paid tickets
Opening Match: Jesse Gilbert def. Kashmir Singh, 7:33, pinfall after hockey stick shot (C-). Did what we wanted it to do.
Midcard match: Valiant def. Joe Gilbert, 7:47, countout due to Joe walking out after getting beaten severely (C-). Apparently, these two have great chemistry together.
Main Event Tag: Gilbert Brothers def. Valiant and Kashmir Singh, 7:49, Slap Shot (C-). Like you didn't see that coming?
Final Rating: C-
Hey, for $400 in worker paychecks, not counting the ref, that's not a bad show... even if the stupid 'modern' fans felt Kashmir and the Gilberts were overused. We may have to use this show again to try to make money... and for some reason, Remmy Skye showed up late to the show, even though he wasn't asked to be there. Torn between punishing him for being late or praising him for showing up at all, Peers decided to do nothing.
We lost another two grand. Peers tries to convince Cliff that they didn't need a production department, but he wouldn't listen. Sighing, Peers gave in and accepted the fact that the Coastal Zone was a sinking ship. If the cheapest possible show still lost money, then there was no hope at all.
On the next Coastal Zone: Will the dynasty end before it has a chance to really get going?

I noticed you always use tiny arena ... thats the one at 1000 people... why not use tiniest at 300 people... cost less and you would be guaranteed full house every show... after all I'm guessing that if you lose $2000 yet only $400 in worker cost, then the arena rental must be the thing thats killing you there.

Where we don't have a 'Tiniest' arena to choose from: Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- January -- Week 4
Peers, after a fit of financial insight, decided not to hold a fourth show this month. His plan was to compare this month's numbers against last month's, because he suddenly had a hunch. TCW hit the B+ this week, SWF hit a B. SWF, however, wa pulling in 50% more viewers than TCW... and TCW was on three networks. Is was also a busy week, as Peers had to re-negotiation Flyin' Jimmy Foxx's contract. As he wasn't that expensive to begin with, he wasn't expecting a huge increase in demand Jimmy's demands. He didn't want any increase, relaly, beyond adding in a small downside... but for some reason, Peers was unable to give him the $350 a month he wanted... either $300 or $400. What kind of strange payroll department was Cliff using? Given that Jimmy wasn't really doing anything at the moment, and fliers were currently a dime a dozen, Peers decided to let the man's contract expire quietly.
2006 -- February -- Week 1
Peers' hunch may have paid off. With a slight increase in merchandising sales, and a slight decrease in sponsorship fees, the Zone had regained two thousand dollars. Staying conservative, they could manage two more months of three cheap-arse shows before going broke... and hopefully, those six shows would give them enough of a boost to raise ticket sales in this timeof bad economy and falling industry.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 381 Paid Tickets
Opening Match: Valiant def. Jesse Gilbert, 8:55, DQ-Hockey Stick (C-). Both men seem to be improving in their work.
Midcard Match: Remmy Skye def. Joe Gilbert, 8:49, DQ-Interference-Jesse Gilbert-Slap Shot (C-). As expected.
Random One-Minute Of Mic Time: Remmy and Valiant challenge the Gilberts to a fair fight (E). Oh, c'mon, it's only one minute to tell you why they're still here...
Main Event Tag: Gilbert Brothers def. Valiant and Remmy Skye, 5:01, handful of Skye's tights (C-). What we expected here, as well.
Final Rating: C-.
The Gilberts were in the midst of a push up to Lower Midcarders, so looking at a price-to-effectiveness ratio, we figures this was best all around... and would punish Remmy for being late last week. He was off his game tonight, apparently, and Jesse's character needed freshening up. Both Gilberts and Valiant were slowly improving their skills and could be worth keeping around. Still, we lost two grand on the show, and ticket sales were down.
2006 -- February -- Week 2
Sadly, Peers' attempt to get the Zone a TV show had failed, being rejected by all the networks he had talked to. Among new shows starting this season, SWF Lightning, TCW - The TV Show, and DAVE - the TV Show. Apparently, TCW and DAVE have the same creative teams. Peers, seeing as how he figured he'd never have the ticket sales to justify using them again, stripped the tag team titles and began the end of the The Fly Boys' contracts. And guess who's getting the titles back? Well... we'd bill the next show as a pair of singles matches, winners get to take partners into the tag-title main event...
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 469 paid tickets
Opening Match: Joe Gilbert def. Kashmir Singh, 5:47, Interference-Jesse Gilbert-Slap Shot (C-)
Midcard Match: Valiant def. Primal Rage, 7:18, (D)
Main Event Tag Title Ladder Match: Gilbert Brothers def. Valiant and American Elemental, 7:46, Title Retrival (C-)
Final Rating: C-
Joe and Kashmir continued to show good chemistry together. Valiant and Rage didn't click and both seemed to need freshening up, and Valiant seemed to be improving more and more. Ticket sales were up... way up... and we lost under two grand on the show. Things were definately improving... but how fast?
2006 -- February -- Week 3
Our new plan was to make the Tag Titles the focus of our shows. Plague and Perez both cost $500 apiece... the Gilberts were good for two hundred, together.
The goal of the next show was twofold. First, we'd try to see if we can tell a story in the confines of a hybrid fed. This would involve a one-minute angle that would, most likely, get crapped on. We woul dalso do our first turn... which if it fails, well, he won't be around more often.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 456 paid tickets
Opening Match: Kashmir Singh def. Flyin' Jimmy Foxx, 7:37, Surprise Indian Deathlock (C-). Foxx dominates most of the match, and Kashmir suddenly gets in a submission hold, and the jobber wins a match.
Angle: Foxx is angry... but decides he lost to a better man and shakes Kashmir's hand. The two then decide to challenge the Gilberts tonight (F) Crapped on, as expected. Foxx turns face, to better fit the main event.
Main Event Tag Team Ladder Match: Gilbert Brothers def. Kashmir Singh and Flyin' Jimmy Foxx, 13:31, Title Belt Retrieval (C-).
Final Rating: C-
Joe is needing freshening up too... maybe it's time to give the Gilberts something non-hockey-related to do? Still, we had apparently used Kashmir far too much... it was time to bump him ot the lower midcard. We only needed one opener, anyway. Besides, we were taking a week off now to keep from losing too much money... maybe two shows a month would do better? We'd have to consider it...
2006 -- February -- Week 4
The Gilberts were given a new gimmick, that of brothers who were hockey fans only because they gambled on the games... and were now branching out into gambling in other ways. Other than that... slow week. Jimmy Foxx left after his little turn and title shot, so hopefully he wouldn't hate us for not giving him more money. We also decided to announce Championship and Xtreme title matches for Bash on the Beach the first week of July: Plague defending against American Elemental, and Perez defending against Bates. Now if we can find a way to get people interested in them... March may be known as Interference Month!

2006 -- March -- Week 1
Damn. TCW's new TV show was on Thursdays. Peers considered moving the day of the Welcome to the Coastal Zone shows. Monday was free, in the US at least. Tuesday has SWF and TCW. Wednesday had SWF. Friday had DAVE. The weekend was wide open as well. And more people would be available on weekends to come to the shows. Saturday it is!
Financially, February was a good month. Well, relatively. Only three thousand dollars lost. If we could keep up the delta-vee on the finances (ask a math teacher if you don't get that), we could be profitable by the end of May. Without going into the red, even.
Then Peers looked closer. We lost less money purely on spending less on workers. Ticket sales were actually down a hundred bucks. Dangit.
It was time to reshuffle the roster a bit. With the Fly Boys gone, we needed to declare two more 'Main Eventers' from our packed midcard. Frankie Perez was a shoo-in, since he had the title. Mikey James, his designated nemesis, was selected as well.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 419 paid tickets
Opening Submission Match: Mikey James def. Kashmir Singh, 5:32, submission (E) Well, that sucked.
Angle: Jesse Gilbert challenges Frankie Perez to a title match (E) So did this, but that was expected.
Main Event Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def. Jesse Gilbert, 18:43, P-Lock despite Mikey James run-in (C-) Long match for Jesse, dragging in the middle, Perez needs freshening up, Joe and Mikey ran in and Frankie still managed to get the win.
Final Rating: D
Okay, that show sucked. Mikey/Kashmir was really expected to be better than that, at least D-level. And Peers was getting tired of being told he had no locker room leaders... it's not like he could afford to hire one.
2006 -- March -- Week 2
In a slow week for wrestling news, Chaos Demon #1 and Chaos Demon #2 had a falling out and were no longer friends. I have no idea what they're going to do about their names. I wonder if they're still going to wrestle together...

Opening Determine-a-Contender-for-Main-Event Match: Kashmir Singh def. Frankie Dee, 4:35, pinfall (E)
Midcard Match: Primal Rage def. American Elemental, 12:04, Plague-ference (C-) interesting pairing to have good chemistry.
Main Event Xtreme Title Match: Kashmir Singh def. Plague, 6:48, Elemental-ference (C-) We have our first request from a worker to rebook the show to make him look better, as Plague wasn't happy.
Final Rating: C-
You know it's getting bad when you can predict your match ratings accurately before you even start the show. Oddly enough, this didn't seem to generate any heat for the future Elemental/Plague match. Damn Modern fans... Peers shoulda played poker with some other fed-owner... pity Tommy Cornell prefers Go Fish.

The part you've been waiting for... things begin to turn around, and we find a way to put storylines into the shows without ticking off the fanbase! Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- March -- Week 3
I guess those Wednesday Night Wars are really Tuesday Night Wars... Peers apparently TiVos the shows and watches them on Wednesday.
As part of the "Only the owen gets a four-digit salary" drive, E.M.M. Moe and Farrah Hesketh were both terminated. Farrah wanting $1400 to be a color commentator was insane... and Moe wasn't worth the $1100 he wanted per show. At least, not to a hybrid fed. This would get rid of one of the spare Lower Midcarders we had around, and Cliff could handle the color commentary on his own just fine, from the road agent notes... then again, he was also acting as the road agent for the matches, so who could tell? The moves would also let the roster fit on a single screen again.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 391 paid tickets
Opening Match: Kashmir Singh def. Prince Adam, 7:54, pinfall (D)
Midcard Match: Joe Gilbert def. Valiant, 7:54, Interference-Jesse-Slap Shot (C) Great chemistry between these two as usual.
Main Event: Fox Mask def. Jesse Gilbert, 7:47, Fox Flipoff (C-) Fox wins despite interference from Joe.
Final Rating: C-
Adam only had nine days left on his contract, and we didn't really have a lot of room for brawlers, so we were going to job him on the way out of the comapny. Other than that... honestly, we're just spinning our heels trying to get used to things enough to make them work how we want to. Peers was afraid he was ruining the company. We also tried something new, letting Fox Mask act as road agent for the first two matches. Joe and Valiant are slowly turning into the best performance we have -- if we can find someone who has chemistry with Jesse, Valiant may have a new partner.
But ticket sales were down, and had been for a while now... it was time to take a break before the annual April show, Spring Break Bash on the first Monday of the month... a two hour show. Thinking it over, Peers decided to cancel the four summertime annual shows that CZCW traditionally did... the new three-shows-a-month would have to be enough.
2006 -- March -- Week 4
... Slow week. Nothing of note really happens. So, um... let's see what the USA Big Three look like four months into the dynasty.
SWF: Tag Champs "The Squid Squad" defend against High Concept on a regular basis. Calamari Kid also holds the Shooting Star Title while High Concept's Elmo Benson is the North American champion. The company is headed up by their newest World Heavyweight Champion, Remo, who ended Skull Debones' streak of eight defenses in early March. Their shows average a B.
TCW: TCW has seven titles, having never retired their Cruiser and Cruiser Tag titles after closing the division. Genghis Rahn and Madman Boone hold the tag titles, Boone also holding the Hardcore title. Steve Gumble is the All Action champion, and Rick Law is the International Champion. Their World Heavyweight champion is, unsurprisingly, the owner of the company, Tommy Cornell. They also average a B show, but are much less consistent, hitting a B+ or B- more often than SWF.
DAVE: DAVE keeps things simple. Tag champs are "The Animalz", Big Cat Brandon and The Wolverine. Tank Bradley is the Brass Knuckles champion, while Eric Tyler has been the DAVE Unified Champion for all of 2006 so far. Their TV shows average a B-, PPVs average a strong B.
Yeah, slow week.
2006 -- April -- Week 1
Peers was in trouble. The Zone had eight hundred bucks left in their account, having lost nearly five thousand in March. Ticket sales were down, merchandise sales were down, worker costs had gone up... okay, Peers had to take the blame for that last one, but it was a crappy time to be trying to run an indy wrestling fed right now. In an effort to generate more interest, Peers began a 'grass-roots' effort in inject storylines into the shows by registering www.czcw.com.
With Prince Adam's leaving, Valiant was given his spot for a Midcard push, and Peers went back to trying to use the cheapest workers he could. And to do that the best way possible... he would have to turn Primal Rage. Rage made a poor face... but he worked cheap, which meant for the next month or so, he'd be teaming with Kashmir to face the Gilberts.
CZCW.COM
Kashmir Singh has asked the Gilbert Brothers for a tag title shot, and the Gilberts have agreed... provided he finds a partner, and can defeat one of the most dangerous men in the Zone: Primal Rage.
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 425 Paid Tickets
Opening Match: Kashmir Singh def. Primal Rage, 9:05, submission (D) They just didn't click.
Angle: Gilberts turn on Rage and beat them both down; Kashmir declares Rage is his partner (F)
Main Event Tag Title Match: Gilberts def. Kashmir & Rage, 15:46, DQ due to Rage getting rambunctious (C-) The Gilberts were exhausted by the end of this one.
Final Rating: C-
The fans said there was too much Rage and Kashmir in this show... well, okay, they were in the ring for the whole show, so we can see their point. Sighing, Peers decided to look at the finances to decide if we wanted to so two shows a month instead of four...
... and told the Gilberts, Kashmir, and Rage that they'd be moving to four shows a month.
The Zone's popularity had gone up to the point where ten bucks a ticket was a possibility. The last show had earned... yes, -earned- almost a thousand dollars! If that held up all month long... the expensive people could come out to play!

Ah, heel overconfidence costing them in the end... always a good story. And while attendance was down a bit, we still made money on the show. Not as much as before... we'd have to consider finding a cheaper ref... but still made money.

For the first time, a show may have hurt our popularity. We'd have to try hard to make sure it didn't happen again. Still, we were at $2,300 earned so far this month... and usually got a slight boost at the end of the month from sponsorships, so all seemed to be good so far.

2006 -- May -- Week 1
The workers and staff of CZCW gathered today to hold a small wake for NYCW. New York City Wrestling, considered by some the 'East Coastal Zone', today announced that they were closing their doors due to financial pressure.
Snap Dragon was entering into his final month on contract... and apparently, didn't like how Peers booked the Zone, as he had decided he would not negotiate a new contract.
Turns out, a lot of the Zoners were unhappy... mostly with how often they weren't being used. Well, we'd be able to fix that now that we had money coming in. With an extra thousand dollars a show, we could stop making people do double-duty... well, if we cut out tag matches. Maybe.
CZCW.COM
American Elemental has been on a losing streak lately. Will he be able to redeem himself? Primal Rage is unhappy with Kashmir's picking a new tag team partner last week; what will he do about it? And finally, Frankie Perez defends the CZCW Championship against a hand-picked opponent. Could it be The Insane Machine?
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) -- 432 paid tickets
Opening Match: American Elemental def. Frankie Dee, 7:46, pinfall (D)
Midcard Match: Kashmir Singh def. Primal Rage, 6:23, DQ-Rage got excited again (D)
Main Event Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def. Jeremiah Moose, 9:36, DQ-Snap Dragon Interference (C) Moose looked poor, and still we got a C? Nice.
Final Rating: C-
Insane Machine, apparently, was working somewhere else tonight... pity. Moose was a last-minute replacement. We'd also gone slightly overboard on the whole 'bring in the more expensive guys', losing seven hundred dollars. We'd have to reign it in a bit next week.
2006 -- May -- Week 2
Peers wondered if he'd be able to get Snap Dragon on enough shows to reconsider extending his contract. The answer was, most likely, no... and so Peers decided to see who's contract was next, and get them on every show from now until negotiations. It was Frankie Perez, and there were three months until negotiations. Kashmir, Elemental, Mikey James, and Frankie Dee were right behind him over the space of a couple weeks. Well... we could keep them on shows, certainly.
CZCW.COM
Frankie Perez and Jeremiah Moose both want revenge on Snap Dragon for messing up the title match. Who will get him first? Also appearing: Insane Machine and "Psyche Out" Remmy Skye!

Midcard Match: Mikey James def. Remmy Skye, 7:53, submission (C-)
Main Event Triple Threat Championship Match: Frankie Perez def. Snap Dragon, Jeremiah Moose, 8:49, P-clutch on Snap Dragon (C-)
Final Rating: C-
Once more, Machine wasn't available... it turns out WLW was holding their shows on Saturdays now as well, and he'd picked them over us. It looked like he'd be the next to be let go... but for now, it looked good having him on the roster still. So we shuffled things around and gave Valiant a win over Frankie instead. And maybe Frankie wasn't giving us the kind of results we wanted in his matches.
We were down almost three grand; attendance was declining, and it was time to cut back on the expensive workers again. Perez, James, Elemental, and Kashmir were going to be used as much as possible... we'd use the Gilberts as heel fodder, and... well, Kashmir and Elemental -were- our face fodder... Valiant was not going to be happy...
On the next Coastal Zone: Will Peers break his word? Someone just had a head booker position open up...

Mikey James is looking to build momentum after his win over Frankie Dee; we've heard he's challenged Kashmir Singh for this week. Also, Frankie Perez has accepted a challenge from The Gilbert Brothers to face one of them, and American Elemental has requeted a match with the other gilbert, to make sure they'll be too busy to interfere in each others' match.

Midcard Match: Mikey Jamed def. Kashmir Singh, 7:37, submission with ropes (C-)
Main Event Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def. Jesse Gilbert, 8:41, P-Clutch (C)
Final Rating: C-
We had a couple gimmick changes here (Who can tell, with no angles): Kashmir hadn't been doing well as an old-school face, so we made him a blue chipper; likewise, Frankie was getting stale, so we moved him from Legit Athlete to Straight-Edge. Peers was happy, as ticket sales were slowly going back up. Tho we'd lost another six hundred on the last show. he decided to limit himself to a budget for the final show of May: One thousand dollars. Not counting Pee-Wee's salary, of course.
2006 -- May -- Week 4
Okay, so, forget that budget thing. It was the last show we could use Snap Dragon on, and damned if he wasn't jobbing on the way out.

Fox is starting to get stale? Interesting. We'll see what we can find for a new gimmick for him. And the Zone finished the month down just under fifteen hundred dollars. With a little practice and a little balance, we should be able to get people to stop being upset about not being used.

2006 -- SIX MONTH REVIEW!
Peers became the head booker for CZCW six months ago, on December 1st.
In those six months, he has lost nearly twenty-two thousand dollars. Seven people had been dropped from the roster by various means; three had been added. The Zone had gone from an E to a D in popularity in the Southwest. We currently had four workers with a D popularity in the Southwest as well: Frankie Perez, Jesse Gilbert, Mikey James, and Valiant.

Okay, we gotta be honest, this week is just matches we threw together. Erm, we mean, Plague has decided to give Kashmir a title shot. Can the mat-based Kashmir adjust ot the ladder Xtreme style? Will Mikey James continue his winning streak? And what'll fill in the rest?

2006 -- June -- Week 2
The wrestling industry was hit hard when a 20-year-old rookie, Nate Manchester, was found guilty of assault and sentanced to six years for a domestic dispute. Most folks expected it from America; but the crime happened in England, and Manchester himself was English. People were starting to look at all wrestlers as no-good thugs.

Midcard Match: Mikey James def. Remmy Skye, 7:32, submission (D)
Main Event: Primal Rage def. Frankie Perez, 8:52, James-ference (C)
Final Rating: C-
Elemental has switched to a more comic-bookish theme to his character. Remmy was now a 'Dude'. We were trying to freshen up those who didn't have good gimmicks... even tho the fans probably didn't care... it was worth trying, right?
2006 -- June -- Week 3
We were rapidly running into a problem. The only wrestlers with good momentum at the moment were Perez and Insane Machine... who hadn't wrestled in forever. James was failing to gain the momentum we were hoping for, and most others were hovering in the C- area. We needed to get some momentum going, and fast.
Others were seeing the wrestling business as a sinking ship, and were getting the heck off. Rich Money was the latest, moving to Hollywood to start filming on a new movie.

James really needs a name for his submission finisher, doesn't he... can't believe the main event was only a D when the previous two parings got C-'s... we were hoping to at least hold the C-.
2006 -- June -- Week 4
We haven't checked finances for a while... hey, only down nine hundred bucks for the month? Not bad. Check the momentum... well, Mikey was up to a D now... Frankie was down to a B... Fox had falled to a D... dangit. Now that we were making money, the hard part was going to be keeping our workers' momentum going... Even worse, we were now at the point where everyone was upset at not being used. Peers began to wonder if the budget could handle to strain of going to hour-long shows, as long as a strict budget control was kept...

Indy promotions were dropping like flies. MAW was gone. WEXXV was gone. We'd managed to make six hundred dollars last month... maybe they just had failed to run shows?
Well, we'd just managed to kill Joe's momentum, and gain nothing for Frankie in return. Right now, our best option was pitting him against Insane Machine... but we'd have to work a different day for that. And with everyone upset about how they'd been used, we decided to make our shows an hour long... and on Sundays. And limited to two thousand dollars for workers. That would be good for a couple main eventers and some openers each show.

Okay, so, we'd gone over budget slightly. But it wouldn't matter... why?
(At this point, the player says "HOLY ****!!!!" and realizes more people show up for longer shows... that, or I hit some threshhold in the D-range causing attendance to double!) 880 paid tickets??? WE JUST MADE THREE THOUSAND ON ONE SHOW! So, the question was... was it due to show length, or just... random luck? Next week would be an hour and a half, just to find out... if we could make four grand in ticket sales per half-hour... hell, we could go recruit some new big names...
2006 -- July -- Week 2
Okay, a half-hour show and we had to fill it somehow. Just giving longer matches like we did last week won't work... but hell, we can afford to bring in more people, so it shouldn't be a problem. Now, finding -reasons- for it all...
We weren't the only ones enjoying a rise on lucky booking; SWF had recently officially reached Global size, making them one of two promotions in the world that size. Someday, maybe we would be, too.

SWF was adding to it's roster after it's recent surge in popularity, adding such names as Rip Chord, Jim Force, Shawn Gonzalez, Sam Sparrow, Jungle Jack, and Helen wheels. Enygma, however, left the company.
We, on the other hand, entered into negotiations with a certain individual who would hopefully shore up one of the weak spots in the Zone. Okay, I hadn't realized you can't select a road agent to compete in a match, so we had to rewrite that last match on the fly. Still, it turned out to be a good match. But we still had a lack of locker room leaders... was Stomper not paying attention or something?
2006 -- July -- Week 4
We used everyone we had, and still made money. Amazing. This would take some getting used to.
SWF continues recruiting, pulling in American Buffalo. The Zone countered by... doing nothing. We can't go -too- crazy right now... we'll give Frankie/Mikey a chance to generate some heat, and if it failed, we'd bring someone else in.

Mikey James claims that if he wasn't tired, he wouldn't've had to resort to chokes to beat Frankie Perez. Frankie is giving Mikey one last shot. Insane Machine wants revenge, and will get Kashmir in a singles match. Remmy Skye has earned a title rematch; will he be able to win this one?

Peers had hope that Frankie Dee would eventually stop living down to his name and get something other than a D. And Peers was worried... we lost over a hundred people since last show? It wasn't -that- boring and repedative, as it?
Next time, on the Coastal Zone: We cut back down to an hour as Peers begins contract negotiations with some of the boys. Who's upset that they haven't been used enough?

Duhduhduh-duh-duh... another one bites the dust. Duhduhduh-duh-duh, another one is Welcomed to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- August -- Week 1
Down for the count: Ring of Fire, out of money and out of business. We, on the other hand, had made over six grand last month. Three more months and we'd've succeeded in Cliff's "Don't lose any money this year" directive. Which was good... three months was how much time we had. Perhaps we should dial back to hour-long shows...

Sixty minutes of non-stop wrestling action! The tag team division throws down as American Elemental, Joe Gilbert, and Primal Rage get in the ring together. Mikey James wants another title shot; he'll have to get past Kashmir to do so! Plague is without a contender... so in the main event, Fox Mask will take on Insane Machine, with a title shot on the line!

Perez is officially a miracle worker, he got Frankie Dee into a C- match! The man deserves a raise in his contract... which is under negotiations as we speak...
2006 -- August -- Week 2
Frankie resigned for more money than he was asking for. Hopefully it'll keep him happy. Some of the other workers, well, were still upset that they hadn't been used for a long period of time. Peers was hoping to retify that... and was having trouble doing so.

Main Event: Plague vs Fox Mask in an Xtreme Ladder match. Not enough for you? Frankie Perez teams with the Rising Stars against The Nightmares and Mikey James. And we'll probably throw in something else, too.

Final Rating: C
Two C matches on one card? Nice. Dunno why we double-booked Elemental... someone else was supposed to go over Dee, but danged if we can remember who. Still, a good show, no complaints.
2006 -- August -- Week 3
American Elemental held out for more money at his re-signing, going form $250 a show to $500. This didn't bode well for how much our other people were going to want. Kashmir's contract doubled to $200 a show... and he was still a steal at that price. The next contracts we had to worry about were Frankie Dee and Mikey James... Mikey would probably be kept around, but Frankie's fate was looking dubious at best... for now.
Fox was moved into the Main Event, with Mikey James dropped back to the upper midcard. In addition, Kashmir was moved into the midcard and Jeremiah Moose was moved to the upper midcard. Our hope was that the trio of Moose, James, and Plague would keep Fox and Perez busy for a while while we sorted out our momentum problems.

2006 -- August -- Week 4
Peers began his search for a big (well, semi-big) name who would be willing to come to the Zone and work a few matches. The first step was finding one who would talk to him... and that was proving to be a problem. And after three rejections... he got one.

That's right, we managed to score DAVE's very own JD Morgan to show up and the beat down on some of our people. Sure, he was expensive as hell... $1600 an appearance... but if he kept getting the show of the night, he might be worth it. Needless to say, he was working as a heel main eventer.
On the next Coastal Zone: How do you screw up a profitable company? By hiring someone who costs three times anyone else on the roster? Mmmm, could be...

We wouldn't be stupid enough to try a DAVE Invasion on the budget we have, would we? Well... we'd think about it, at least. Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- September -- Week 1
Another month, another six thousand dollars added to the bankroll. With 84 days left to meet the "Have more money than you started with" edict, Peers was feeling confident... although he knew that overuse of JD would be murder on the bankroll. Maybe we'd just use him twice a month, and cut back on some of the others.
Dissention was working through the ranks as well. Frankie Dee wanted more money to continue his streak of sub-par matches, and Mikey James... well, he wouldn't even begin negotiations.
CZCW.COM
JD Morgan has come to the Coastal Zone, and he's stated he wants to appear at the next DAVE show with our title belt around his waist! Tonight, he'll team with Insane Machine to take on the title-holding due of Fox Mask and Frankie Perez! The main event, somehow, made Fox and Mikey look bad... we'd have to consider the fact that putting anyone in there with JD could make them look bad, as he's all polished and professional and whatnot. We also had a problem with Remmy Skye showing up late again.
2006 -- September -- Week 2
With Frankie Dee wanting more than twice his market value, we decided to let his contract run out without a word. Mikey James was willing to consider negotiations now, so those began. And Remmy Skye, having had a warning once this year, was fine for his late arrival. Once Mikey re-signed (we decided he was worth keeping around), we set about looking for a new opener and selected three names to speak with... seeing, of course, who wanted the least money. Finally, a new opener was selected, and we'd see how he did...
CZCW.COM
JD Morgan made an impact on Frankie Perez, and that's sure to be on his mind as he faces the Insane Machine in a non-title match tonight. We're steadily losing people again... that worries good ol' Peers. But the new opener looked like he'd work out just fine.
2006 -- September -- Week 3
With a look at the ol' budget, Peers could see that there was trouble. Ticket sales were down, worker costs were up. He decided to cut back to three matches a show, despite knowing that some of the workers (Gilberts, we're looking at you) can't fill up twenty minutes. But we also filled up the final hole in our roster, bringing in Canadian announcer Ted Ross as our color commentator. Yes, Easy Emma wanted too much money to do it. Yes, Shane Sneer wouldn't even talk to us.

I disagree. No matter how much you like it, there will always be someone who just doesn't like it. Be it because of the writer's style, his subject matter, or just his methods of doing things. I know there's people out there who didn't like the original Coastal Zone just based on my style of writing... one person said they didn't like how I formatted it... other people just don't like dynasties unless they're real world. They don't need to 'read it again'... they just don't like it. Nothing wrong with that opinion.

The cheapo-special show had come through, giving us a total profit for September of $4,500. We were now holding at just over $21,000 in the bank... and under two months to get that back up to $25,000. No problem, except for the worrying fact that ticket sales were down three grand from last month. Playing things cheaply while keeping the people who wanted to be used more happy might be tricky.
To make things worse, Remmy Skye was late... again. One week suspension. Buh-bye. Seeya later.

2006 -- October -- Week 3
The 'morale triage' practice Peers had going was working... well, half the time. Several of the big names were okay now, and most of the midcard as well. The holdouts were Moose, Plague, Mikey, Remmy, and Machine. Well, and Kashmir slightly, but he seemed to have a swelled head from his pushing this year. Remmy Skye was late again. We suspended him for a month. We probably should've fined him, as we could use every little bit of cash we could get. Not that Peers was worried. I love that the focus is on the business, not the in-ring product (as it is with most dynasties), and the website...... Brilliant.
Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers, mate!
The reason I focus more on the business and less on the in-ring product is because of something I learned back in my better-left-forgotten e-fed days: I hate describing the same match over and over again. If you a look at a dozen matches from the same source (say, a dozen lucha, a dozen hardcore, a dozen WWE, a dozen puro, whatever)... you'll probably find that at least 50-60% of each match is exactly the same as parts from other matches, just with names changed. You can only type "Bob clotheslines Tony, who gets up and backdrops him off the ropes" so many times before, well... it gets boring. I faked it the best I could for W2RL, but it's just something I hate doing. I'm a color guy, not a play by play guy.
And the website was just the best way I could come up with to get story and character into the dynasty without wrecking my shows with low-rated angles. The daughter of neccessity and all that...

What was the attendance at the last show? From the looks of it, you're getting pretty close to a sell out. Those words don't normally get spoken alongside the Coastal Zone, except when refering to a worker who's leaving to head to the Big 3, that is.

Back in my e-fed days (it amazes me how many of us were in those), I quickly learned that I'm TERRIBLE at describing action in the ring. I'm an Entertainment guy, as I truly look at pro wrestling as a soap opera for men, so I made my bread and butter the angles and backstage activity (this is still back in the e-fed days). I can't wait to get back into writing about wrestling; it's been too long.

2006 -- November -- Week 1
With one month to go, we'd passed our goal of having $25k in the bank, just like when we started. As long as we broke even this month, we were sailing clear. And only a couple people were complaining about not being used. And just think... one more month, and Peers was free to go wherever he wanted. Someone had to be looking to pay for a head booker, especially one who got results like he did...
More TV shows hit the networks. BHOTWG and DAVE apparently shared some creative people, as both were debuting shows called Modern Day Warriors. The Zone, naturally, wasn't big enough or popular enough to get a show.
CZCW.COM
JD Morgan hasn't won a match in the Zone since his debut; tonight, he'll get one last shot. It's Gut Check time as JD Morgan must defeat... Brendan Idol! Insane Machine wants another title, and he feels the time is now to take out Frankie Perez inside the confines of a steel cage! And it's a triangle match for the Xtreme contendership as Moose, Plague, and Elemental tangle!

Final Rating: C
Valiant and Insane Machine now 'desperately' need character changes. We'd get right on that. Shock of shocks, Morgan and Idol had great chemistry. And we now had a C+ match that didn't involve Morgan... and it looked like we'd crossed from D into D+ territory, as the Zone sold out their first show in history!
2006 -- November -- Week 2
REGIONAL SIZE!!!! Popularity C- in the Southwest!
Okay, the downside was that legal, production, marketing, and whatnot... all the departments that used to cost five hundred a month to run, were now costing a grand each.
On the upside, well... maybe the sponsor would pay us more money.
With the raise in status came new requirements for staff. Letting his booking team sort out the pushes, Peers did some last minute tweaks, and here's what we had:
Main Event: Fox Mask, JD Morgan, Plague
Upper Midcard: Insane Machine, Mikey James, Remmy Skye, Frankie Perez
Midcard: American Elemental, Valiant, Jeremiah Moose
Lower Midcard: Jesse Gilbert, Primal Rage
Opener: Brendan Idol, Kashmir Singh
Enhancement Talent: Joe Gilbert
It seemed we would need another upper midcarder, and someone to work backstage. Offers were sent out... we'd see who'd bite.
Our new Backstage Worker was possibly the best man we could find for the job. Genius-level IQ, speaks five languages, and even has a PhD... "Mountain Man" Larry Wood. With luck, he could teach the boys about hardcore brawling in addition to his other duties. Our new Upper Midcarder was a technical wrestler who could also flew when he had to, and was also an excellent performer. Say hello to "Speedball" Marc Speed.
And before our first show, Larry was complaining about being a backstage worker. Figures. Smart people always want better roles...

Plague didn't want to negotiate. Figures. And we had been considering letting him beat Fox... Ingrate. He beat JD Morgan, so now American Elemental has been rewarded with a match of his choice. Will he take the Rising Stars back to the Tag Team Titles? Also, Jeremiah Moose plans to give Marc Speed a real introduction to the Zone, and someone has challenged JD Morgan... who could it be?
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) - SOLD OUT
Opening Match: Plague def. Brendan Idol, 10:22, pinfall (C-)
Midcard Match: Jeremiah Moose def Marc Speed, 17:11, low blow (C-)
Midcard Match: Mikey James def. JD Morgan, 11:49, pinfall (C)
Main Event Xtreme Ladder Match: Fox Mask(c) def. American Elemental, 9:37, title retrival (C)
Final Rating: C
And Marc has chemistry with Moose... that's good to see. These two could be a good cornerstone for the future. And now we were being told Fox had to change his character as well...
2006 -- November -- Week 4
Okay, character changes needed for Fox, Valiant, and Machine... wait, they were? The gimmicks were still highly rated... the only ones on the roster below a B- were Elemental (C+) and Marc Speed (D). Elemental stayed put... Marc was a problem. He had trouble playing the heel... so we did the best thing we could, and gave him a rip-off of Dermot O'Logical's skin care gimmick. The fans wouldn't care anyway, would they?
Plague resigned his contract, wanting 'only' an extra two hundred per show. Oh, well, we had money to burn now... sort of. We also decided to get rid of the complaining Larry Wood... he just wasn't right for the backstage role.
CZCW.COM
Kashmir Singh is upset at Elemental's choice of match last week, and the two will settle things in the ring! Fresh off wins, Mikey James and Plague both want a shot at the championship; only one will get it! Marc Speed will face his biggest challenge yet as he goes up against the Insane Machine! And will there be a title defense? You bet there will be...
Welcome to the Coastal Zone
Southwest (Tiny) - SOLD OUT
Opening Match: Primal Rage def. Brendan Idol, 9:58, unseen chairshot (C-)
Midcard Match: American Elemental def. Kashmir Singh, 5:14, pinfall (C)

Midcard Match: Plague def. Mikey James, 10:39, pinfall (C)
Main Event Championship Match: Frankie Perez(c) def. Jeremiah Moose, 9:44, P-clutch (C-)

"I never met a wrestling promoter I didn't trust." Welcome to the Coastal Zone!
2006 -- December -- Week 1
December 1st. The twelve months of working for free was over, and Peers was feeling good. When Cliff called him into his office first thing in the morning, Peers knew that he was going to be offered a small salary, which he would then request be doubled for all the good he's done with the Zone.
"You're fired."
"... OMG, L1K3, D00D, WTF?"
"I told you, I wanted to have more money than I did when you started here. We don't."
"... okay, that's... that can't be. We had thirty-one thousand... there's no way we could've dropped that much!"
"Well, someone kepy using JD Morgan on all our shows last month. What did you expect?"
"WE WERE STILL MAKING MONEY! The Zone is bigger now than it ever has been, thanks to me!"
"Yes, we're bigger... we have more overhead. Do you know how many thousand I had to pay out at the end of the month?"
"... you know I don't, because I just got here and haven't been able to look."
Cliff smiled. "Exactly. And it'll stay that way. You'll just have to... take my word for it. You failed to make money over an entire year. You got overconfident and hired expensive workers and didn't track your finances. You, Mister Peers, are fired. Clear out your desk. And you're no longer allowed to sleep in the office supply closet."
"... You backstabbing, book-fixing, slimeball piece of crap... I'm not through. Now that I've got experience, and I built this fed up, I -will- come back... and I -will- make you regret this. There's a dozen feds out there looking to hire a good booker!"
"Actually... only one. Us. And your application will go straight to the shredder."
".... **** you, Cliff. And I mean that from the bottom of my bowels."
On the next Coastal Zone: Unemployment's a *****.

Y'know, it's bad enough being unemployed in real life... now I'm playing a game where I'm unemployed. Oy. Welcome to the... nowhere, really.
The next few weeks crawled by like years, with the only thing of note being that some Japanese wrestler named Tsurayuke Kamachi was jailed for a year for tax evasion. Something about being paid under the table.
Insult to injury: Peers had been replaced by Bobby Thomas, a Canadian tag-team wrestler. They had hired Chief Two Eagles and re-hired Larry Wood. Peers was... well, insulted.
The Zone's first show of December was a C+ show, helped along by Fox Mask retaining the Xtreme title over Plague. CZCW Badlands (Saturday, Week 2) features random tag matches, and the next day Fox defeated Plague yet again. And again the next week, which also introduced a #1 Contender Title (won by Remmy Skye) that would probably be ignored. The hell of it was, they were churning out C+ shows consistently.
C'mon, there were promotions that hired people around the same time Peers was 'enslaved'... someone had to have messed up at their job bad enough to get fired... Peers knew he had a high reputation due to his work, but nobody was hiring... maybe someone would start a new promotion...
But not before the end of the year.

A feat never before attempted in the history of TEW Dynasties: If we're doing an entire year in one post, this must be Welcome to the Unemployment Line!
2007 -- Year-Begining Overview
There are currently six active promotions in the United States. SWF, TCW, and DAVE are the 'big three'. The other three are AAA, CZCW, and USPW. Listed below, in order of size, then prestige.

2007 -- January -- Week 1
Some people call it destiny. Some people call it fate. Some people call it sheer unadaulterated coincidence. But as a certain wise man one said, "I believe we were destined to get thrown out of this dump." Perhaps it was time... for an Exodus. Exodus: Final Battleground, opened by Bryan Holmes in Japan, needed a booker. It was the Hybrid style Peers was used to, so he put in his application and began learning Japanese.
2007 -- January -- Week 2
Holmes hired local instead. Peers had lost out to Hito Ichihara. We'd have to keep waiting and watching.
2007 -- TIME PASSES
Stardust Phil Cox collapses after a drug overdose.
Wow, we knew this would be different and more difficult when we started it, but oy...
Sean McFly and Victoria Stone got divorced.
Oh, this is somewhat interesting. Marc Speed and Mikey James were having trouble backstage.
NOTBPW released Sam Strong.
Oooo, Plague and Remmy Skye were having trouble too. The place was falling apart without him, wasn't it.
The Zone was now selling out Very Small arenas (2,000 people), and Fox Mask and Plague just had their first B- match. Sigh. We should be doing that.
At the rate we're going, we're doing another year-end review before we get another job...
Maybe I should start a wrestling blog.
Nah. Then I'd never get hired.
Another B- match. Four men involved. They grow up so fast...
And another... first one without Fox... tho I guess they've all had Plague... see, I kept him in the company, that was my skills keeping the big star there...
My toddler is watching Shrek for the fourth time today. This has no bearing on this dynasty. Just thought you'd like to know.
December already? It feels like it's only been half a decade...
I'm not going to sleep until this year is over...
Done. 2008 is here...

Next time, on the Coastal Zone: Okay, folks, it's time for a poll. Do I sim another year (or until a booking position opens up that I get)? Or do I take Adam up on his offer? And if I do... do I ask him ot put me back as booker of the Zone? Of USPW? Or ask him to throw in another fed with me as booker (If you vote for this, include an owner)?

When looking at DAVE it's like you're looking at near death of all Hardcore fans. Chris Caulfield and Eric Tyler are gone to be replaced by god awful Warlord Pain, Alex Braun and Pistol Pete Hall?
Warlord Agony as Ex-DAVE Unified Champion? Pistol Pete Hall as the new one?
Anyway, Go for another year and if that doesn't work get Adam to make A new Promotion based in the South West at the same size of the Coastal Zone and even make them partners, Kind of like "SoCal" Wrestling. Make the owner A lately retired or close to retirement star. Why don't you let Fox Mask run it and star in it?
Or don't go in South West, go somewhere else.
Just do something for the sake of dynasties, Unemployment if god awful.

Go one more year, shouldn't take too long to sim out. Annoying, but shouldn't take too long. If that doesn't work out then I say we work it out this way.
Adam shows up one day in Louisiana (a bit biased sorry) and decides I'd really like to know what its like to actually own a wrestling company but I need a good booker. Someone creative enough to be able to at least get my company more popular than the fluff out there like CZCW. I know... I'll hire Peers, he's bound to be itching to get some payback. Adam finds a phone and uses the internet to find Peers' number...
"Hello", comes the answer in a groggy voice that only someone who was up drunk last night would have.
"What do you know about Cajuns?" Adam asks?
"I know they riot and go on looting frenzys at the slightest sign of water."
"Good I need someone to book a promotion based in Louisiana, and I want an immediate war with CZCW. I have $100,000 to start a fed and I want you to take the head bookers job."
"I need some tylenol"
"You'll get your plane ticket delivered first thing tomorrow. Hope your stomach can handle boudin."
click
"Where is that asprin... Hello? What was that about anyway."
I dunno if Adam would want to insert himself into your game like that, but it'd be fun. Also, I think since your dynasty is more about the business side of things, you should start out with no workers... but that is just my 2 cents.

Thats just wrong, but so damn funny and true. Its been raining here in New england for a week straight mostly heavy downpours, you don't see us running around all crazy like.....well nothing more than normal.
Anyway what I think you should do is start up west coast wrestling zone. Start local but with some money and work your way back up to your glory days.....well the days you still had a job.

In fairness please allow me to point out that those aren't really cajuns that do that. Cajuns don't even really live in New Orleans... they are creolle which is a different thing entirely. As a cajun I just felt I should have made that more clear.

Time passes slowly somtimes. But every once in a while... something happens. And that something decides to Welcome you to... THE EUROPEAN COASTAL ZONE!
Hey, we said things would be different.
2008 -- March
Opertunity knocks as Herschel the Hammer ticks off the owner of Ultimate Combat Ring, Louis figo Manico, and gets himself fired from the head booker position. Peers' application is put in the very next day. By the end of the week, Peers is getting his passport picture taken and is flying off to Europe.
UCR: Ultimate Combat Ring
The first promotion in Europe to show a sign of being able to last. So far, their strategy is to provide as many styles as possible, to bring in as many fans as they can.
Size: Regional
Style: Family Friendly
Location: Western Europe
Money: HOLY ****ing ****, JACKPOT! $8.8 Million!
Current status: Five workers in negotiations. A handful about to enter negotiations.
Popularity: C in Europe and the UK, F everywhere else.
This place is spending three times as much as the Zone ever did on workers in a month, and still bringing in over two hundred a month! Peers was struck by an impulse to hire away all of his former employer's workers... then realized that none of them had passports and wouldn't work in Europe. Pity. He could easily crush the Zone... if he was local to them. Well... he'd just have to see what he could do with what he had. Get this company large enough, and it might be satisfying taking CZCW as a development territory.

--UCR Tag Team Champions: Dark Falcon and Evil Henchman #1. Previous holders: Ruud Van Anger / Frank De Pain, The United Nations, Wonder Boy / the Big Bad.
--UCR World Combat Champion: Captain Hero. Previous Holders: Sergie Kalashnov, Byron, Louis Figo Manico, Scheming Behemoth. Was vacant for a week after Behemoth made his first defense, most likely due to scheming.
We can see why Herschel must've been removed as booker. Evil Henchman #1 is booked as a face, and we don't have Evil Henchman #2 on the roster. The Kosher Nostra is a tag team made up of a face and a heel. Dark Falcon is good, Super Falcon is evil. UCR had had four television shows, all currently off the air, and their PPV contract was about to expire. The networks -just- stopped taking proposals for new shows. And why in the world were there dedicated hardcore wrestlers in a family friendly promotion?
Still, Peers had a good support staff. The Garretts, Smith, Cox, and Larry made up his booking team and acted as road agents. Still, he needed a dedicated road agent, and wanted to get a color commentator in there.
Looking at things, it appeared UCR averaged C shows with the occasional C-. Peers knew he could beat that... he'd just have to get used to this whole 'storyline' concept. There wouldn't need to be a website to explain why people were fighting... instead, he'd need to show people during the shows.
The first order of business will be to decide which of these people on the roster he keeps, and which he needs to dump... well, that was Peers' first order of business. Louis had told him that he would have the job for at least two years... and as long as UCR was more popular and not in debt at the end of two years, he could stay on longer.
Two years... $8.8 million in the bank.... Apparently, Cliff has been spreading rumors about Peers' monetary skills. Even he couldn't burn through nine million dollars in two years... Three hundred sixty-six thousand a month... UCR, even if they sold zero tickets, has no PPV income, no sponsors, no merchandise sales... would stil only go through $165,000 a month.

I'm glad something opened up for you without having to resort to "cheating". UCR looks interesting, and I've never played as them, so this should be entertaining AND informative!
>>Bully Benrubi and Abraham Slam.
I love those names. Abraham Benrubi, of course, played school bully Gary Kubiak on the early 90's cult TV show "Parker Lewis Can't Lose".

UCR World Combat Champion: Captain Hero. Previous Holders: Sergie Kalashnov, Byron, Louis Figo Manico, Scheming Behemoth. Was vacant for a week after Behemoth made his first defense, most likely due to scheming.
Hahahahah, I like it. Congratulations and good luck.

Okay, hell with it. I may as well quit now, 'cause unless a McMahon, bischoff, or Russo shows up and and praises my stuff, I just got the highest 'rub' I'm gonna get doing these things.

I just got to the most recent post and I'm now up-to-date. yay!
It's easy to read and the story is really interesting. like others said, UCR is a fed we don't usually look at, but it have several nice wrestlers and the Europe region has its share of talent. The only downside is that I'll miss some wrestlers from CZCW hehe.
Really a good read.

Sometimes, change is good. Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
The people we had to negotiate with: Joey Beauchamp, Bigger Dan Ewe, Captain Hero, Herschel the Hammer, Super Falcon, Puffy the Sand Iron Player. In a couple weeks, we'd have to add Salty Larry, Dark Falcon, and UK Dragon to the list.
Still, the roster could afford to lose a few people, at least one or two from each level.
Herschel was the first obvious one to go. But we'd wait and bury him at the next show, as his contract would just barely let him be there. Super Falcon was our only enhancement talent at the moment, he'd have to stay. Puffy was a hardcore guy, and that was too risky for us, he would be let go. Captain Hero was our champion, we'd try to keep him. Dan was a hardcore guy, true, but he could brawl outside of hardcore... he was still useful to have. Joey was good on the mic, he'd stay.
The other three could stay here, too. When their time came.
We also needed to find a few new people... We picked a couple women to bring in to tangle with Geena, but finding a color commentator was tougher... and a good road agent? Non-existant.
Now, the other tricky part... storylines, and how to straighten out the mess Herschel had made. First step, turns for Abraham Slam and White Knight to get them to a place that makes sense. Second... waitasec...
Oh, crap, we had a momentum issue to deal with... The Kosher Nostra and The Force both had great momentum, as did Blister and the tag champs of Dark Falcon and Evil Henchman #1. On the other hand, our European champion White Knight had terrible momentum, as did Byron, Joey, Herschel, Sergei, Herman, and Geena. Argh. Just argh. Herschel was so not being re-hired after this.
.... heels working as old school faces, and comic book heros, faces working as bullys and comic book villains? Gimmick changes were needed too...
Peers took a look at the PPV schedule and wiped it clean. We only had a month left on the contract anyway. To work out some rage, he set up a special two-hour PPV... now, he just needed storylines to put into the show... all from scratch... argh.
It was going to be a long night as Peers tried to put things right.
Our first storylines... well, they should probablyinvolve titleholders... and we have to write these all out ahead of time? Hooboy...
It's about this time that Peers realizes he's waaaaay over his head with the storyline editor... he can't come up with a storyline more than five segments long. How is someone supposed to plan that far ahead?
On the next Ultimate Coastal Region: Peers strugles to set up a storyline that doesn't suck, and meets with the workers to tell them that they'd better be ready to put on a good show... 'cause it may be their last Pay-Per-View, and he intends for it to be special.

You can always use unchained storylines, duder. For your purposes, it might be a good idea.
Nightshadeex
10-15-2005, 07:12 PM
Heheheh, the storyline eidtor is tough when you make it and then realize that you don't have the angles to further it, so you have to exit the game, go to the editor and edit, then import, then hope you didn't make a typo... But once you get the stories all set up, all the angles perfect, and can run them, it's worth it.
By your 3rd show, you're going to be wishing you had a "make angle" button in the PM portion of the day.

Infinity didn't use the latest patch with the "tiniest" arena in South West, USA in the begining of the CZCW with only about 350 people attending his shows, and was losing $800 more per show than he needed to lose... I doubt he will use the unchained storylines now...
The undefeated storyline is probably the easiest to use to put a midcarder over.
infinitywpi
10-16-2005, 11:18 AM
I had the latest patch, I just only downloaded the executable, not the updated data that had the tiniest venues. Probably missed out on a few workers or something, too... not that concerned about it right now tho. The problem I'm having is that I know what storylines I want to do, I just have to work them all out and define them.

Good luck with UCR. I've thought about using them a couple of times myself but never quite got round to it yet. With all that cash, you should be able to bring in all kinds of talents. Though I do think it woulda been great if you'd taken up the chance to let Adam sort you out.... specially if you used the other dude's idea and had Adam as your owner :)

There is no substitute for good planning... except for lots of good planning. Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
The original Zone had just pulled off their first B- show. Peers began to worry about how to top that with a boadload of talent he didn't really know. He'd work that out later... first, the meeting.
"Okay, everyone... settle down. You all know who I am and why I'm here. Now, whenever a new booker takes over, there's always a period of change... we're going to be trying a few new things. By the end of the year, we should have at least one, if not two stables established. A couple new tag teams. But before we do any of that... My boss and yours, Louis, is passing around a sign-up sheet."
"You see, he believes, as I do, that you have to spend money to make money. And we've got money to burn. So on this sign-up sheet, I want you to pick a date for your laser-scanning for the new UCR Action Figures, and pick your new entry music... no limits, we'll pay the license fee for anything."
After the murmers had died down, Peers continued. "Also, some of you may have realized you're playing at cross-purposes... faces with heel gimmicks, and vice versa. We'll be fixing that at our next pay-per-view... which may also be the last pay-per-vie on our contract, so we're going to make it the best one we can, okay? It'll be big, it'll be memorable... most likely, nobody will show up." A pause as the workers wondered what that meant. "Get your passworts ready. We're going to deliver a message to my former employers by having our show in California."
"Also, I'd like to introduce our new color commentator, Tara Green. Some of you Brits may have run into her already. Also, Geena, I'd like to you meet Laurie Diaz. She's new to the business, but she's got potential, I'd like you to work with her. She'll be playing a biker gimmick... sort of a dark, modern-day version of an Amazon. With luck, you two will do well. I'm trying to bring in someone else so it's not just you two fighting over the belt constantly, I'll let you know."
"Dan, Hero, Super Falcon, your contracts have been renewed to the terms you wanted. Everyone else, I'll deal with on a case by case basis. Okay, that's it for me tonight. Go work out."

2008 -- March -- Week 2 -- Sunday
Peers suddenly realizedhe had no idea how to fill up a two hour show. Even a one hour show, he just used matches... this was ging to be an interesting ride... Captain Hero vs Louis Manico in the main event seemed like a given, but the rest of the show... well, we had a tag-team storyline to be going through... Sergie vs The Breeze sounded good... White Knight vs Mr. Evilness... that gave us, what, three more matches we should do? Geena and Laurie could lead off... The United Nations and The Force... and we wanted to get Mister Blister in there for a squash... he could take out Herschel, that'd be nice. Now, where to put in angles...
Nothing like opening night jitters. If only so many people didn't have such terrible momentum, he'd feel better. That, and he had a feeling only a few dozen people were going to show up... oh, well. Europe would get their pay-per-view, and then we'd go back and do a show there. Maybe try for another PPV in the same month. We'd see... but for now, it was time to start the show. Get the stupid idea over and done with so we could have good ones afterwards.

Sometimes, spite is worth it. Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Peers sent a letter to CZCW HQ, on UCR letterhead. "If I can book crap like that and get more people to buy it on pay-per-view than show up to your shows... imagine what I'll do when I put some effort into it?" Damn, that felt good.
Then, Herschel, Puffy, and Evil Henchman #1 were all let go. (Sorry, guys... the decision to cut Reformed Evil Henchman #1 was made before I read these posts.) Peers was still riding the ego wave from losing nearly fifty grand on one show and not having it matter at all.
... hrm. Did you know that firing someone involved in a storyline terminates that storyline, even if they're not being used in any more segments?
****.
And we spent all that time writing out a nice storyline, too. Not only is it gone, we need -more-.
Okay, fine. Let's go with... four storylines. We'll rebuild the last one the best we can, make it a bit longer. We can build one around the boss being the champ. Another focused on The Force and the Kosher Nostra. Another around our Female division. Hell, we could build one around the brawlers, one around the cruisers, one around the Euro Title division... that was our problem. Too many possibilities for storylines. We needed to decide what would work best.
And we'd forgotten to go through with at least one turn last show. Dammit. Get your head in the game, Peers... if everyone thinks you're incompetant, you'll never get hired again. You're living the wrestling fan's dream... you've been cheated by a bad promoter... now's your time to shine! Write!
Steeling himself, Peers scheduled a two-hour show every week. UCR: European Union. We had our six storylines ready... cheating on a few of them... most of them... okay, all but one... and really cheating on one of them...

-White Knight(c) def. Byron in 8:05 by DQ after being hit wiht his own armor (C).
-Super Falcon appears and reveals that not only was he the man who attacked Dark Falcon backstage earlier... he's also the one who hired the Kosher Nostra to put the beatdown on him and his 'former' partner at the last show (C-). Afterwards, UK Dragon spent some time speaking of what an honor it is to face Louis for the title (C-).
-Super Falcon def. Wonder Boy in 7:58 by DQ due to a Dark Falcon run-in (D). -Backstage, Dark Falcon apologizes to Wonder Boy, and the two discuss how villains can get under your skin, trying to make you angry so you make mistakes (C-). Geena's attacker then comes down to the ring and introduces herself as Nina the Psycho Ballerina, challenging Geena to a title match. Geena doesn't come out (D).
-Louis Manico(c) def UK Dragon in 10:21 (C+). Louis continued with a beatdown after the match (C).
Final Rating: C
By happy coincidence, Louis and Dragon had good chemistry. That'd be a useful thing to remember. We had a large number of people needing gimmick changes, that'd have to be our next project. And perhaps, as we were using him as such, Super Falcon would need a push beyond simple 'enhancement talent'.
On the next Ultimate Coastal Region: Peers learns a hard lesson about economics.

Officially the fastest-growing dynasty on the board... which, honestly, means diddly-squat. Welcome you to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Note to self: Holding two PPVs in a week gets you the record for lowest-bought PPV in history... 356 people. But at least we had ticket sales at this one.
We needed to start keeping track of who could pull off an eight-minute match and who couldn't... we'd start soon. Eventually. Right now, the only thing for sure wa that Louis could do a B- angle in his sleep.
Negotiations with these people were brutal. Both Dark Falcon andUK Dragon realized they were in storylines, and wanted a large raise. Well, we had the money, so we'd give it to them. Somehow, we'd neglected to get Joey into negotiations, and requested them with one day left... and he made us wait until the last minute to sit down and discuss things. Still, he was arguably the most talented man on the roster, so we threw some more money at him and walked away happy.
... Dangit. At least one storyline didn't advance correctly... we'll have to try that again... okay, two storylines... make that three. Half of the storylines done on the last show failed to go through. Well... the next two shows wouldn't be on PPV, so we could take care of that easily enough. It was just a pain in the butt to have to redo. But oddly enough, it may just let the timing work out well to have things done by our next big show... which, hopefully, we'd have a PPV contract for.

Notes: Too much Nina and Bully Benrubi. And we managed to hurt our popularity overall. This... was going to be tricky. It was one thing to build up a small, unknown promotion... but this one, fans had expectations...
... and dammit, at least one storyline didn't go forward as planned... AGAIN! Dammit, what was going on... ah, problem found. Angle had it set as minor target... grrrrr. Explains the problem with the Falcon storyline. We didn't know what was up with the Cruiser storyline... target, catalysts were all there in the right places... same with the Euro Title storyline, target and catalyst, both in the right place... ah, wait, it needs a target, but wants a subject... fix that... the other storylines are going fine... we just need to figure out why the Cruiser storyline wasn't going right...
I'm too tired to cope with this mess. I'm going to bed.

Once more, we hurt our popularity. We were also over-using the new girls... and we'd forgotten to get people new gimmicks. Sigh. On the plus side, the storylines were going forward as intended...
... annnnd on the downside, our PPV provider didn't want to give us a new contract. Something about not drawing enough buys. Just because we had the lowest-rated PPVs in history... we will beat out a couple of GCG shows... before Peers showed up... and our trip to California got more buys that PGHW FORTITUDE and NOTBPW's Clash Classic and Guilty Pleasure...
And now we had people complaining about not being used. Doctor Insane (who had a contract signing coming up), Geri Smith (who we had aiding the United Nations), and... well, okay, it was just them. But more would come, Peers knew it.
On the next Ultimate Coastal Region: The final show before our first big non-PPV... well, if there's no PPV contract, is there really a point to having the big show? We'll try anyways...

Now with updated location data: Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Before we forgot anything else, we had to change people's gimmicks. but damned if we could keep track of who needed it and who didn't... so we'd just change everyone's!
The Kosher Nostra became Evil-Doers. Bigger Dan Ewe got the Giant gimmick. Byron... how did a 40-year-plus man get a Teen Idol gimmick???... he got an Egomaniac gimmick. Captain Hero? Old School Face. Dark Falcon had recently changed ot Man on a Mission, as had Super Falcon. Their mission? Destroy each other. Doctor Insane? Evil Doer. That seemed like it'd be a good default for most of our heels. Geena embraced her native american heritage. Manager Geri Smith got the slut gimmick. The United Nations, since we had no plans for them, became Metalheads. Inky became a fun babyface. The Force became Adventurers. The Breeze became Suave. Mister Blister? Also a Giant. Mister Evilness? Psycho. Fresh Prince? Dude. The Princess? Well, she wears the golden bikini... beach babe would work. UK Dragon? Comic book hero. White Knight... how can we use anything -but- knight for him?... That 70's Guy. We'd make up a Knight-themed band for him to be a fan of. Wonder Boy? Sidekick, of course.
We also let the booking staff move some pushes around. Nothing major, really, just that our main event was now Louis, White Knight, Byron, Breeze, and Fresh Prince... we still had two too many main eventers, 3 too many upper midcarders, and two too many midcarders and lower midcarders... and couldn't find a dedicated road agent to save our life.
Now, we had to figure out what we were doing for the week's show. Storylines were still going, and six seemed to be a good number... Doctor Insane wanted to work more, as did Geri Smith. What to do, what to do... especially with another show this Sunday... well, with no PPV carrier wanting to touch us, we might as well cancel that show and just do the weeklies until we fix things. Which wouldn't be until we can at least pull a C+ show out of all this...
And that had been done once in UCR history. In August, 2006. And half the people on that show were no longer with the company.
UCR: European Union
Upper Krasnodar Arena, Russia -- 1,000 tickets -- SOLD OUT
--We begin with Louis backstage, hyping his main event title defense against Wonder Boy (B-). In another part of backstage, Wonder Boy and Dark Falcon are arguing again about wether or not Dark Falcon should interfere in SUper Falcon's match tonight (D).
--Geena def. Geri Smith in 2:52 (E).
--The Breeze taunts The Fresh Prince, saying that after tonight, revenge won't be an option for him (C+). In another part of backstage, Louis is shown making the financial decisions that keep the UCR running (C+). Jed High then comes down to the ring and issues a challenge to Bully Benrubi for later tonight (C).
--Super Falcon def. UK Dragon in 10:10 by DQ when Dark Falcon interferes (C).
--The Breeze comes down to the ring, taunting The Fresh Prince more. When the Prince comes out to respond, he's jumped by Mister Blister, and the two leave Sergie down on the ramp (C-). Backstage, another attack in progress as Super Falcon attacks Wonder Boy, shouting about how it's vengance for Dark Falcon's attack. It becomes clear that Wonder Boy can't compete tonight (D).
--Hype Video for the United Nations (D).
--In the ring, Byron shows off his stolen Euro Title, only for White Knight to come down and try to get it back. But Byron reveals that he thinks Euro Champion Byron is good business... and someone else agrees with him, too. The man who makes the business decisions. Louis comes out of nowhere and levels White Knight, letting Byron escape with the Euro title (C).
--Bully Benrubi def. Jed High in 10:21 due to interference by Abraham Slam (C). As The Kosher Nostra beat Jed High down, Tobi Juan Kanobi returns and makes the save, using his crutch as a weapon (C-).
--Backstage, Nina and Laurie discuss Geena, and decide to work together to take her down (C-). The door then bursts open, and Blister and Breeze throw Bigger Dan Ewe into the women's locker room, beating him mercilously and smearing his unconcious face with lipstick (C-).
--Inky the Squid Boy def. Doctor Insane in 11:24 because we needed something to eat up time (C-).
--Hype Video for Captain Hero (C-).
--Hype video announcing that, due to his injuries, Wonder Boy will be replaced in the main event by... White Knight (C+).
--Louis Manico(c) def. White Knight in 12:44 (C)
--Louis claims he cannot be beaten by anyone, because this is his company, and he knows everyone in it (B-). Out comes Captain Hero, asking if that's true... then why hasn't he been granted a rematch yet? The match is made, and the two will meet next week (C+).
Final Rating: C-. Too many non-wrestling segments... we must have some Modern fans in the audience. But, yeah, we got the message. Chill on the angles a bit. Yet another popularity-hurting show... good thing we had two years to fulfil that "Be more popular than when you started" goal.
Next time, on the Ultimate Coastal Region: Will all the titles be on the line? How will The Fresh Prince react to his, and his friend's, beating? Will anyone care about the Female Title? As storylines come to a close, what the heck will I replace them with? And will people be cut from the roster?

As much as I like women's wrestling, I think it might be best for your shows if you get rid of UCR's women wrestlers and focus on the men. After all, the women's matches are consistently the worst part of your shows [E rankings mostly] you'd be better off without them.

I'd rather he do the former then the latter, myself. Hence the suggestion. After all, the women's matches in UCR seem to be really bad and are lowering the average rating of his show.

Yeah, the boss is strange, but hey... he's American. They're all strange. Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
As he was preparing to trim the roster (Doctor Insane's contract wouldn't be renewed, and Peers was still on the fence about Wonder Boy), another name was brought into the UCR: A man named Dan Maivia, a so-so amature wrestler with amazing charisma and microphone skills who'd just turned pro last August. Peers put him down as a ****y youth and planned to use him as Enhancement Talent... to start with, at least. Offers were also made to two more people in an attempt to shore up one of the Region's weak spots.
... Dammit, the tag title storyline didn't move ahead. We'd have to investigate why... and had no freakin' idea. We'd have to try it again...
UCR: European Union
Parc des Sports, France -- 2,140 tickets sold (Just under half full)
Dark Match: UK Dragon def. Doctor Insane in 10:52 (C-).
--The show begins with a hype video for the Manico vs Hero rematch tonight (C+). We then go on to Byron coming down to the ring to gloat about escaping with the European Title... and if White Knight wants it back, then he'll have to escape with it... because Byron wants Knight inside a steel cage (C).
--White Knight(c) def. Byron in 11:40 to retain the European Title in a Cage Match (C).
--Backstage, The Fresh Prince charges Mister Blister from behind, using his speed to counter the big man's strength to get revenge for last week (C-). Elsewhere backstage, Captain Hero is interviewed about the main event (C+).
--Geena the Warrior Princess(c) def. newcomer Jeri Behr in 4:32 by DQ as Nina and Laurie charge the ring and all three take her down (C-).
--The Fresh Prince challenges The Breeze to another match, now that the Mister Blister backup plan is gone (C-). In the ring, Dark Falcon challenges Super Falcon to face him in the ring (D).
--Dan Maivia def. Dark Falcon in 5:57 due to Super Falcon interference (E). Afterwards, Super Falcon spits on Dark Falcon's prone form and accepts the challenge (D).
--Jed High, saying tonight seems like the night to lay down challenges, challenges Bully Benrubi to a rematch (C).
--Bully Benrubi def. Jed High in 6:39 by interference from Abraham Slam (C-). As The Kosher Nostra beat Jed down, out comes Toby Juan Kanobi with his, erm, lightsaber-crutch, to over the odds and save his partner (C-).
--The Breeze accepts The Fresh Prince's challenge, noting several times during his monolouge that Mister Blister is gone for the night (C).
--Fresh Prince def. The Breeze in 12:53 by countout, as Breeze decided to walk out when he realized he was outclassed (C). As The Fresh Prince stood in the ring yelling at him, Mr. Evilness came from behind and laid him out with a chair, landing a few more chairshots and stomps for good measure (C-).
--Louis Manico cuts a promo hying the main event (B-).
--MAIN EVENT: Louis Manico(c) def. Captain Hero in 15:58, using the ropes for leverage (C+).
Final Rating: C. The crowd was restless towards the end... but hey, it didn't hurt our popularity, so we were getting better at this! We'd found a Female challenger that, serendipitously, has good chemistry with our champion.
On the next Ultimate Coastal Region: We need a new storyline for White Knight. For those paying attention... who isn't being used right now? With Hero losing the rematch, who has a hope at ending his reign of terror? And will we ever stop losing money?

There's no school like the old school... but in Europe, we're the first and only school! Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Hey... why the hell are we not on the first page? Let's fix that, shall we?
People upset they're not being used more: Doctor Insane (contract being allowed to expire), and that's it. Wow. Part of Peers wants to believe this is a far more professional crew than CZCW... but then, here, it takes as much effort to book a single show as it did for a month of events there. Maybe it just feels like we've been here longer.
Peers decided it was high time to do something he hadn't done yet, and take a look at how popular his workers were in Europe. After all, maybe he was just putting popular vs unpopular guys in matches, and could get a better rating by changing that. Our main eventers were Cs, upper midcarders were C-, the newbies were Fs, Dark Falcon and Mr Evilness were Ds, (Super Falcon was pulling a C- somehow... must be showing better in his feud than we thought), our valet/managers were Fs, and of course Louis had a B-.
Time to evolve the Euro title storyline into something new... we'll keep Byron and add in two more people to set up a standard 'three contenders' setup...
For those keeping track, our current hot storyline is Louis's title reign, followed by the Euro title picture, everything else tied for next-to-lest, except for the Falcons storyline which was getting a D (and, thankfully, almost done).
Christ, Inky wanted a lot more money to extend his contract... y'know, he only averages a C- match, and got Ds as often as he did Cs... but Peers was feeling the crunch of working with a limited number of people already, and was begining to rethink dropping him. Unfortunately, after three days of negotiations, inky decided he was going to leave the UCR at the end of his contract.

Dark Match: Captain Hero def. Dan Maivia to teach the newbie some stuff (D).
--Louis opens the show by coming to the ring and making a challenge for Wonder Boy to try and take his title tonight (B-).
--Geena(c) def. Nina in 3:05 by DQ when Jeri and Laurie storm the ring (E).
--Backstage, Louis is walking around... and stops, looking over his shoulder. He sees nothing, and keeps going. Just before the camera cuts away, a shadow crosses the hallway (C+). Elsewhere backstage, The Breeze introduces us to his new bodyguard, Mr. Evilness (C-).
--Mr. Evilness def. Bigger Dan Ewe in 7:59 after The Breeze aids his bodyguard (D).
--Backstage, Nina is shown arguing with the other girls... wait, the other girls aren't there, she's talking to herself again... (C-). We then get a hype video for the When Falcons Clash storyline (D).
--Dark Falcon def. Super Falcon in 12:35 in a House of Fun match (D).
--Backstage, due to stupid booker disease, Mr. Evilness beats up The Fresh Prince instead of vice versa (D). We get a hype video for White Knight and his Euro Title (C).
--Byron def. Inky the Squid Boy in 6:36 in a match that didn't move the storyline along. Argh (C).
--Backstage, Wonder Boy meets Louis and accepts his challenge for tonight (C). We then get a hype video for the Force vs Kosher Nostra title match tonight (C-).
--The Force def. The Kosher Nostra(c) in 14:34 to become the new tag team champions (C-). The Force heads into the crowd with the belts to celebrate afterwards (C-).
--Backstage, Mr. Evilness challenges The Fresh Prince to a match next week (C-).
--MAIN EVENT: Louis(c) def. Wonder Boy in 12:45 to retain the UCR World Combat Title (C). After the match, as Louis is celebrating, the lights go out for a minute... and come back up with Louis lying in the middle of the ring, a bloodstained title belt lying next to him (C+).
Final Rating: C
The crowd is alwasy restless when Louis is giving an interview. Strange. Almost as strange as Super Falcon and Dark Falcon not clicking at all. And as strange as Dan being over-used when he was in a dark match. Ah, well.
Two more storylines done with, and I think the Falcons would be relegated to jobbers for a while... that certainly didn't help either of them too much. And it was fairly obvious what was next for The Force... we only had three tag teams, after all...

Where we've mastered the art of putting twists in a storyline that hasn't been written yet: Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Yeah, we weren't sure who'd atta... erm, I mean, Louis' attacker is a secret. Yeah.
Anyway, the networks were scheduling, and we sent out feelers, hoping someone would bite... not that we didn't enjoy losing seventy grand a month and not having to worry about it, but it would much easier to destory our popularity with bad shows if we could get them televised.
May I say again how much of a pain it is (relative to an hour of all-match Hybrid show) to book a two-hour Family Friendly show?
UCR: European Union
Upper Krasnodar Arena, Russia -- 1000 tickets SOLD OUT
No dark match tonight!
--We start with UK Dragon in the ring, telling Louis he wants another shot at the title, tonight (C+)
--Inky def. Byron in 10:13 by DQ (C-).
--Backstage, The Fresh Prince sneaks up on The Breeze and Mr. Evilness discussing their plans. The Breeze leaves, and Evilness turns right into a chairshot (C-). In another part of backstage, The Force is asking Louis to let them defend their titles against The United Nations tonight, and he agrees (C+).
--Geena(c) draws Jeri Behr in a double DQ due to Nina the Psycho Ballerina coming down and kicking Geena, and then Jeri (D).
--Backstage, Louis cuts a promo on UK Dragon (B-). In another part of backstage, Laurie tells Geena that she wants a one-on-one shot, no interference (E).
--The Force def. The United Nations in 11:56 by pinfall (C-). Afterwards, the UN attack take The Force from behind in a surprise attack, laying them out and rolling them out of the ring (D), and then state "You wanted this match... well, we're the ones who want a rematch!" (D).
--MASSIVE EIGHT MAN TAG: The Kosher Nostra, Dan Maivia, and The Breeze def. Bigger Dan Ewe, Captain Hero, Dark Falcon, and White Knight in 10:05 when The Breeze pins Dark Falcon (C-). After everyone but Breeze had left the ring, he called out Bigger Dan Ewe, saying they had some unfinished business. Dan came out, only to be waylaid by Mister Blister and powerbombed off the stage (C-).
--TIRED BOOKER DISEASE MAIN EVENT: Louis Manico def. UK Dragon in 12:24 after a low blow (C+). How the hell did that get there?
--The Fresh Prince def. Mr. Evilness in 10:10 by pinfall (C-).
--Backstage, The Force accepts the United Nations' challenge to a rematch. Elsewhere backstage, Mister Blister waits outside The Fresh Prince's door, pounding a fist into an open hand, waiting for his target... when Sergie sneaks up behind him, taps him on the shoulder, and goes for a low blow, followed by a couple of chairshots (C-).
--In the ring, Jeri Behr shoots some t-shirts into the crowd in an attempt to find some redeeming value to the Female division, and succeeds (B)!
--Louis returns to the ring for some reason (Because the main event somehow switched places with the t-shirts), the lights go out, and he's left laying on the mat again. Apparently, it wasn't UK Dragon who did that... (C+).
Final Rating: C, with too much of the United Nations. Well, we'll tone the tag stuf down a bit. It'll last longer.
On the next Ultimate Coastal Region: The booker tries again after a good night's sleep, and he may just need it...

Snatching victory out of the frying pan, or some mixed metaphor like that: Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
2008 -- May -- Week 1
Peers had a decision to make. The networks were scheduling... but they never got back to him on the same day. Should he accept the deal from the very small network, or hold out for one from a not-quite-as-small network?
We had money to burn. We'd hold out for the slightly bigger network. No point in holding popularity-dropping shows if people can't see them 'cause the network's not big enough, right?
... well, that didn't quite go according to plan, as the other network rejected them. Which meant that the UCR would be TV-less for another season, it seemed...
... and Peers pulls one out of the fire with a last-minute second request! Negotiations begin Thursday morning, before European Union, and by the time of the show, Peers was ready to tell people the good news... UCR: Ultimate Coastal Region hit the air live at 11pm on Saturdays!
In the meanwhile, Jed High's contract came up for renewal, and he was signed for another nine months at a slight increase in pay.
At this point, we realize the new Tag storyline hadn't worked right... hadn't even started. Argh. Stupid request angles... minor/major/whatever... ARGH! Somehow the Breeze/Prince didn't go right, either... At least the TV show was only an hour long, so we wouldn't need as many storylines going at once...
UCR: European Union
Parc des Sports, France -- 2,172 tickets sold
--UK Dragon def. Dan Miavia in 8:46 (D).

--Doctor Insane def. Inky the Squid Boy in 12:25 (C-).
--Match announced for the first TV show: Doctor Insane vs Byron (C-.... WTF do you mean, I can't create an advance booking for the TV show? Aw, crap...). Backstage, Geena is attacked by Nina and Laurie... only for Jeri to come to her rescue and turn it into a two on two, running the heels off (E, and a complete disaster on the turn).
--Bully Benrubi def. Dark Falcon in 4:52 (C, maybe we should give these two more time). TIRED BOOKER WARNING: Toby Jaun Kanobi hypes an upoming match with Wonder Boy. That shoulda been Louis. Oh, well. (C). Match announcement for TV-but-it-can't-be-done: The Breeze vs The Fresh Prince (C-).
--The Force(c) def. The United Nations in 11:17 (C-). Afterwards, The UN does the beatdown on The Force (D).
--The Breeze calls out Bigger Dan Ewe for a match. But as Dan is coming down the ramp, he's caught with a spear from nowhere by Mister Blister and carried off (C-, and once more it didn't move the storyline ahead. Why gives?).
--Captain Hero def. Abraham Slam in 8:41 (C-). Afterwards, Bully runs out and the Kosher Nostra double-team Hero (C-).
--Backstage, The Fresh Prince takes out Mister Blister... again... not that it matters... (C-). Elsewhere backstage, The UN demand a rematch with The Force, since they never asked for the title match in the first place (D).
--Geena and Jeri defeat Nina and Laurie in 5:41 (D).
--The announcers hype the main event for the first TV show, which yadda yadda can't be done, it's Louis vs White Knight (C+). Backstage, The Force accepts The UN's challenge (C). We get a hype video for Sergie vs Joey (C-).
--MAIN EVENT: Louis Manico(c) def. Wonder Boy in 10:34 (C).
Final rating: C-. People were, again, used to better from us. Maybe if the damn storylines would work... trap angle, roles are right, WORK DAMMIT...
.... Awwww, crap. We'd been so worried about Inky leaving in a week and hurrying to get the Euro storyline done before he left, we forgot that Doctor Insane was leaving... tomorrow... that storyline was being scrapped...
Okay, we worked out the advance-booking for TV problem. The network hasn't announced the signing yet, so the show doesn't technically exist to be booked for. We can live with that.
Next time, on the Ultimate Coastal Region: We say goodbye to Doctor Insane, Wonder Boy, and Inky the Squid Boy. Does this mean the UCR is getting more realistic? Well... our main event will be Louis Manico vs Bigger Dan Ewe, so what does that tell you?

Don't let the door hit you on the tukkus on the way out! Welcome to the Ultimate Coastal Region!
Did we say Bigger Dan Ewe? We meant White Knight. Honestly. We did.
So, um... yeah. Doc Insane, Inky, and Wonder Boy all left. White Knight, however, we signed to another nine month extention. We were, however, denied a PPV contract. Oh, well. Some good TV shows should change that situation around. Negotiations also began with Toby and Kirk... and the European Union tour was cancelled. We'd pick things up again once we got on TV.
If we're going to suck, we may as well wait and let a lot of people see it, right? Besides, maybe with an hour, it'd be easier to pull off a C-or-higher show. Three matches and some other stuff should be more than possible...
In any case, we spent the rest of May show-less, recouping and pondering our existance as an infinitessimal spec in the universe. It would also let us start June with TV right off the bat in the first week.
Matches announced for the first live episode of UCR: Ultimate Coastal Region:
--The Force vs The United Nations (C-)
--The Kosher Nostra vs Captain Hero & Dark Falcon (D)
--Louis Figo Manico vs White Knight (D) title vs title
Well, not too much anticipation for the first showing... hopefully we'd impress them.
UCR: Ultimate Coastal Region -- June, Week 1
Ostrava Arena, Czech Republic -- 2000 tickets SOLD OUT -- 18,951 viewers at home
--We open with The Breeze in the ring, in a well-rehearsed bit where he asks Bigger Dan Ewe to come out for a match. Dan comes out, gets waylaid by Mister Blister, and that's all she wrote (C-, storyline works due to imported angle).
--Backstage, The United Nations ambush The Force and leave them lying on the ground (C-).
--The Kosher Nostra def. Captain Hero and Dark Falcon in 7:57, Slam pins Falcon w/ropes (C-, faces starting to get stale).
--Louis cuts a promo on White Knight (B-, restless crowd... they always seem to be when Louis is speaking, I wonder why). Backstage, The Fresh Prince takes out Mister Blister (D, let-downafter the previous segment).
--The United Nations def. The Force(c) in 9:17, Kirk pins Kanobi (C-, Herman and Kanobi getting stale, new tag champs).
--Backstage, Sergie challenges Joey to a match now that all the pawns are off the board (C-). In the ring, Jeri announces that there's now a UCR Magazine, and she's honored to be the first cover model (B-, restles crowd).
--MAIN EVENT: Louis Figo Manico(c) def. White Knight(c) in 10:38 (C, new Euro champion).
--Out comes UK Dragon to challenge Manico to a match next week, and Manico accepts (C+, match booked with heat C-)
Final Rating: C (Overuse of Kirk the Turk). Hey, it didn't suck, that's always good!
People were complaining about their pushes, so we re-did... well, to be honest, we let the booking team re-work the pushes. the main event stayed the same, our Upper Midcard was now UK Dragon, Geena, Kirk, Dan, Hero, and The Kosher Nostra. The midcard was Blister, Super Falcon, Kanobi, Herman, and Evilness. The lowers were Jed, Dark Falcon, and Jeri. Our openers were Nina and Dan, with Laurie as our enhancement talent.
People complaining about not being used: Byron. Well, that'd be easy to fix. For next week, we announced a Byron / White Knight rematch from their Euro title feud. We also retired the Euro title for now... we were too small to have that extra singles belt running around.

--MAIN EVENT: Louis Figo Manico(c) def. Tobi Juan Kanobi in 7:42 (C).
Final Rating: C-.
Well, no message about losing popularity this time. Looks like we're starting to level out. Our problem right now is a lack of people who can churn out a match higher than a C. Right now, Louis could do a C+ with UK Dragon, Captain Hero, and maybe Byron... and that was it.

There is a fairly well known comedy sketch wherein the patient goes up to the docter and says: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this!" to which the doctor replys: "Then don't do that!"
So my reaction to the problem of Louis making the crowd restless when he talks is: DON'T LET HIM TALK. :p

But he gets a B- half the time! It's usually the highest rated segment we get! The man has to talk!

I get the same thing with Rip Chord. I have him do a little bit at or near the end, one of the "Demonstration" angles since they usually score a B or better. The last half dozen shows I've been getting that message, but only on that angle type.

The laptop that I play TEW on is... well, it's a P3 IBM Thinkpad that's... four, five years old. It's dying, freezing up hard every so often.
It froze in the middle of simulating a day. As a result, I find I have no active titles, RTEs when I try to look at my roster... the save's corrupt.
Thank you for reading... and I'll have something else ready to go sometime soon.

How could he not go back to the Coastal Zone?
Thanks for a great read, Infinity. You're the best, and I mean that.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I posted this. I always looked for this first, so I hadn't read anything else.
