Hi, I have a question:

If I create a villain who is not combat active, but still has Mastermind type schemes, how would that work?

My goal is to pattern something sort of Lex Luthor like, where the villain doesn't participate in active combat with the heroes, but can still plot schemes and maybe get caught.

Any thoughts/

I actually caught someone in the latest game I played who meets these requirements. Basically, a henchman or henchmen commits a crime and the hero responds. Battle happens. Hero wins. Puzzle follows. If puzzle is solved, the villain is unmasked and is either immediately captured or escapes. It was a very cool "Ahah!" moment.

Awesome!

I just wanted to make sure I didn't break something if I did it the way i thought it might work. :D

That's great news! Thank you for the information!

Yep, I can also confirm that : I investigated a plot, fought some low level henchmen ( Cut-Throat, Avenue P Militia and City Cat), found out that it was masterminded by Felonius Monk, who I promptly arrested without a fight. He was commited to an asylum. Took him quite some time to break out of it.
