Starting Hero Points?

In the retail version, although on easy it says you start with 10000 points, I started with 30000 points. Was there some change or is that a bug?

it sounds like you probably started on easy (10k pts.) with a custom character, which gives you an additional 20k pts., in lieu of any starting attributes.

Did you make a custom hero? I think they start with more because you are beginning with a blank slate and using only 10000 would make it hard to get very far.
