Traits: A feature that allows the user to make a standard for any characters it would apply to.

An example would be "Green Lantern Power Ring", or "Asguardian Armor", or even Atlantean or Amazonian Physiology etc. IF the person has this "Trait", they aquire all the benefits from it, without it effecting their current attributes.... Trait's in effect would be a grouping of attributes, that would be generic for anyone with that "Trait". This way if you have a character that has several attributes outside of the normal attributes that someone with that "trait" has, they can be included in the character creation, without being limited because of those attributes that come with that "Trait".

For example, several of the Green Lanterns have different attributes just because they are of an alien race, that are completely different from the norm, and just including those attributes (be they positive or negative) gives no room for what the Lantern Ring does (or not enough room). Several alien race's period, need a handful of attributes just to show the uniqueness of the alien (like, Aquatic, Mental abilities, and vulnerabilities to certain forms of attack like Heat and Electrical), and adding these in would make it impossible to add in the rest, the whole reason they are a hero/villain, in the first place. Leaving them out makes them just like anyone else. A quick example would be, what if I wanted to make Batman a "Black Lantern" alternate (as he was)... As a Black Lantern he kept all his normal attributes, but aquired the powers of the Black Lantern as well. You would have to delete the lesser attributes in favor of the better ones, but then there is no difference between the Batman Black Lantern and Zatara Black Lantern, or Superman Black Lantern and Green Arrow Black Lantern. People become Black Lanterns that were at some point killed or killed already. They kept all their normal attributes/abilities that made them what they are.




Or just double the attributes a person can have, and we can make our own "Generic's" and just copy, then add the unique features.

EDIT: This might be an idea of how to handle the "Artifacts" objects in the game as well... or at least give a slight idea of how to do them.
