Good post. Enjoyed the read.
I guess my praying (once it was announced, instead of a new TEW) for WreSpi III to have 'issues' worked... ;)

How could Adam be surprised by Rick Law? Give someone a name like that and you have to start thinking "I fought The Law and The Law won!"... which leads to him being awesome by default. It's perfect, and sounds like he'd make an awesome member of the Syndicate if he were ever to go that way. :)
But I understand him with the 4C thing... they're the little promotion that can, but they never seem to get the love they could get. I know that I tend to avoid Canada because I like playing in the US or Japan most, but that's no reason for everyone else to do that. Maybe I'll have to give 4C a crack in '10, just to see what I can do with them.
Fun little interview, I always like Adam's interviews though there was way less shilling in this one than I'm used to. :p

I always use promotions based in the US. I'm just more familiar with certain areas and it makes it more realistic for me. I've never played as a Canadian promotion for that exact reason and I'd never really given 4C a thought... ever. My loss I guess.

4C are more Sports Entertainment than MAW, which makes it that much harder to put on good shows with them. I suspect that's the reason for them not being used that much.
That said, in my game they got workers like the Bumfholes, Eddie Peak, Remo, Rich Money - all because of the disparities in American and Canadian popularity. Definitely worth a look for someone looking for something different - not to mention how in '08 I seem to recall they start with a certain Mr. Newton on the roster...

4C was my favorite promotion at the start. In 2004 and 2005 I played a lot of 4C. Then my love switched over to CZCW. I still have a soft spot for 4C but I just never get around to playing them. I should really pick them up again in 2008 before 2010 comes out.

Sounds like the reason I've never played Mexico or Japan too much. Although I do have an INSPIRE game just about set up and a first tour mapped out I havent gotten around to playing yet. I know not a lot of folks play INSPIRE but it feels like a good way to get into testing my understanding of the Japanese booking style. Talented roster with a solid bankroll and a different kind of product that would seem to insulate from roster turnover. Plus the diversity of nationalities intrigues me. Where ese can you find a Chinese worker like Li Bingci or African citizens like Yaaggoudi and Owusu? You have four different continents represented on one roster. That doesn't happen too often.
Have to say I'm guilty of having never given 4C the love Adam was speaking of either. I'm perfectly willing to play Canada but none of the pre-existing companies there have a talent mix that has grabbed me in a way's kept me going for any period of time. I am, however, almost two years into my current training fed game and that fed is based in Canada.

I enjoy playing 4C, but they're a bit of a disappointment in some regard, truly awesome in others.
I've never gotten their current Main Event scene to click. Sayeed, Joey, and Barry all have very distinctive styles of wrestling so I've never gotten them to gel very well.
Meanwhile their best talent is stuck in the midcard, making it hard for ME vs. ME to stack up over ME vs. Midcard.
Finally, whoever said they're SE is crazy. They start out at 90% matches which means no angles, no storylines.

Interesting to see an interview that was CornellVerse focused, always good to see the creator of a universe discuss his work - i'd love for him to go more in-depth sometimes though.
Good job :)

When I was thinking about a new diary after my X-WA one I was looking to either 4C or PSW. Both were darker, more cult-like, however, at first I loved 4C because I'm a big "modern" fan. However, just coming off of X-WA (Which was a modern company)... I wanted to go with something new.
Great read! Thank you both for the interview!

After reading this interview I think I might have stumbled on to my "Regional" chapter. Good interview BTW.

This was only my second interview. I hope to do more because it is a nice change of pace from reviewing.
