HOW TO PLAY:

- All of have been PM’d a role and your alignment. The objective is to eliminate all members of the opposing alignment(s) from the game.

- Each player has been given a role. You may also have a special ability. Your PM will explain what it does, if you are meant to know. You don’t have to reveal what your role is to the other players, nor will we do so in our updates. Then again there is nothing to stop you, so if you feel that it may help prove your innocence, go ahead - just keep in mind that this could also backfire and help the mafia. In other words, claim at your own risk. Likewise, you may lie about who you are if you wish. If you want to use your abilities, PM us. DO NOT post anything from the PM in the thread unless your role PM states otherwise!

- The game is split into two phases, Day and Night. The game begins during the day, and all players (Mafia and Townie alike) post in the thread, deciding who to kill off. Lynching is the only sure-fire way for the Townies to kill the Mafia, so be sure to examine voting patterns of your fellow players. There may also be clues in the death write ups, but over-reliance on those is ill-advised as some may be traps. Day phases will last approximately 24 hours or until a consensus is reached. Night phases will last approximately 12 hours but may end earlier if all night activities are concluded.

- All voting and discussion is to occur within the thread. Town players may discuss who they think is Mafia, and Mafia members should be trying to bluff/convince/blend in, and generally try not to get voted for. To vote, post Vote: Username (MUST BE IN BOLD!). You can also change your vote, by typing Change Vote: Username (AGAIN BOLDED!). You can also change your vote to nobody by typing Change Vote: No Vote (IN BOLD!). You can also choose to vote for No Lynching by using Vote: No Lynch (yeah... BOLDED!), meaning you actively vote to not lynch anyone during that day phase rather than passively not voting at all. You must post in the thread for your vote to be counted. You do not have to vote if you do not wish to.

- A Day Phase is over whenever a person obtains more than 50% of the vote (and is lynched) or when the 24 hours run out. If no majority vote has been reached by the time the day phase expires, a no lynch will be declared. Once a person dies, their alignment will may be revealed.

- Night falls after somebody is executed or a no lynch is achieved. During this time, the Mafia can discuss who they want to kill next (using whatever form of communication appeals to them). Abilities are also used during this time. To use an ability, PM the mod (Tha Black Phenom), and I'll PM you the outcome of the ability the following day phase. If it is something serious like somebody getting killed, I will update it in the thread. If possible though, try to PM us what you want to do as soon after night falls as possible to keep things moving along at a quick pace.

- Night ends once we post who gets killed, and the cycle repeats itself. The Town players win if all Mafia members are dead, and mafia wins if their numbers are equal to or greater than the remaining town. Remember, this is a team effort, so if you think sacrificing someone may help your cause, go ahead.

- Remember, some roles such as investigators and protectors are more valuable to the town - so try to keep them alive!

RULES:

- This may be a Mafia game thread, but try not to postwhore in the thread anyway. Feel free to trash talk, accuse, call out other players if you want, but if you’re going to vote, at least state some kind of reason as to why you’re doing so.

- Though we can’t force you to post, we’d love to see active participation. We would advise everyone try to check in with this game at least once a day. Things move fast and you can fall behind pretty easily.

- Once you are dead, you stay dead, and may not participate until the game is over except in very rare cases. This includes notes found on your corpse, cryptic messages from the dead, etc, etc. You may also not advise the remaining players on what to do - besides, to prevent cheating, I will not provide the dead with any additional information than they would get if they were still alive. Of course, I’m willing to listen to your theories as to what’s going on. Likewise, I'd appreciate if those not taking part try not to help those playing, though general comments on how things are going would be welcomed in the Sign Up Thread. As is tradition in these games, though, one after-death 'ghost post' is permitted to bemoan your fate, curse your lynchers and so on.

- Unless your role PM specifically states otherwise, all players may not discuss game plan, your role, or alignment outside the thread. Of course, we can’t enforce this, but secretly revealing information amongst each other would spoil the game, so try not to do it. If it comes to our attention that you've been talking about the game outside the thread then you will be killed. This is your only warning.

- Players are not allowed to edit their posts in this thread at all, as it allows for those who make mistakes to remove all of the evidence without any effort. Since I can't enforce this, I strongly encourage all players to scrutinize any posts they notice that have been edited.

-Players are not allowed to cut and paste anything straight from the Role PM INCLUDING the Role title.

- Please play your role/alignment and play to win. We will be strict about this, so please don't make us enforce it.

- Talking about your role after death or to those who have died IS NOT allowed.

- Not everything is as it seems. If something unexpected happens, feel free to question it to us in private. If we can, we'll answer. If not, we'll be blunt and tell you that we can't answer it at the present time.

- In game wagering such as "I'll never play again if..." is strictly prohibited. It will be cause for a maximum of mod kill and minimum of in game replacement. It may also lead to a suspension from future mafia games.

“Right, well for one, I don't care one bit what you're saying. But one thing I do hold from that is about settling down, and I think it's time we get right to it.”

“Yeah man, whatnot with the possibility of the world ending. We don't have much time left, we never know!”

“Screw you guys.”

“We need to pull one last crazy scheme. And spread the profits amongst all of us.”

“Great idea, dude.”

“And let me guess. I'm not gonna get a dime of what you guys harvest?”

“...mm not this time. We talked about it and... I guess this time we could finally consider letting you in on the goldmine.”

“Wow. That's a shock, after all that time I figured you guys would do the same and leave me out of the deal. What's the reason?”


He stepped on board and revealed his instantaneous crazy scheme which may garner them potentially loads of money and fame all around. They all listened and agreed before going their separate ways, ready to initiate the plan.

A few hours later, he went to make a phone call. He proposed an offer which, quite frankly, couldn't be refused. There was so much at stake, and there was possbility to kill two birds with one stone with this offer.

To address this. I don't let how I played in past games effect how I play in the present.

This is in no means a tell of any kind. I don't plan to play the game the "same" way each time. If I make a mistake in the last game, nine times out of ten I will make it again. Maybe on accident or on purpose. either way you will never know. :D

Seriously though, I have no knowledge of the setting, so I'm treating it as a vanilla game. I doubt there will be anything useful in the write ups as without being able to claim, we can't identify who's doing what and when. Anyway, on a brief tangent: What the hell kind of show is this? I was looking up the wiki for this show and there's horrible horrible things:


Ryan and Liam McPoyle (Nate Mooney and Jimmi Simpson) — The McPoyles are creepy former elementary-school classmates of Mac and Charlie. They are introduced in "Charlie Gets Molested" falsely accusing their former school teacher of paedophilia, this led them to their antipathy toward Charlie and the rest of their gang because they foiled their plan and turned them into the police. The two brothers have an incestuous relationship with each other and their deaf-mute sister Margaret (Thesy Surface). As seen in "The Gang Gets Invincible," they have at least 14 other siblings and family members, who all sport the McPoyle features such as unibrows, acne, and eczema. The most notable relative is "Doyle McPoyle" (Bob Rusch), an aspiring football player. This led to further conflict as with The Gang because Doyle lost his chance to play for the Philadelphia Eagles when Frank accidentally shot him in the leg. They take revenge in the episode "The Gang Gets Held Hostage" by faking a raid on the bar. The McPoyles also have a strange obsession with milk

The series follows The Gang, a group of five alcoholic, unethical underachievers who run Paddy's Pub, a run-down bar in Philadelphia. They are dishonest, selfish, egotistical, and antagonistic, and are often embroiled in controversial issues. Episodes usually find them hatching elaborate schemes, conspiring against one another or others for personal gain or the pleasure of watching their downfall. Their tactics often rely on inflicting emotional and sometimes physical pain on individuals both deserving and undeserving. They regularly use sex to blackmail and manipulate one another and others outside of the group. Their unity is never solid; any of them would quickly dump the others for quick profit or personal gain regardless of the consequences. Almost everything they do results in competition between them.

This was not part of their plan as they decided to take a small time off, and go watch a movie. It lasted over two hours. As they came back, the sun was out of night and the clouds slowly fading into the cold dark sky. They were discussing amongst themselves their reactions to the viewing.


“I cannot believe you made us go see that movie.”

“Dude, I thought it would be fun for us all, and--”

“No, you had to delve us more into that 2012 bull****!”

“The movie wasn't that bad...”

“It was cheesy and full of plotholes, and--”


A swift noise was heard. They all immediately stopped talking. The lurker knew he made a false move, he planned to say hidden but at this point he didn't have to bother. He just stepped out, completely masked, from head to toe, with a gun in hand.

They all dashed away on the spot, running for their lives! Except for... her. She was struck in fear as the gun wielder advanced slowly.

The body dropped down after that last syllable, and the killer left without a trace. Her other friends left her completely defenseless, in a pool of her own blood, as owls and wolves started howling into the night. One last gasp of air later... and it was all over.

They've somewhat toned down :p before the eps targeted controversial topics such as gun control, racism, abortion, etc. Now not as much although they still stay edgy at parts. One of the recent episodes is oriented towards wrestling, actually(which Roddy Piper guest stars)

He steps out in a very tight-fit jogging outfit, and stretches repeatedly as he walks outside while breathing the fresh air. The sun was barely getting up, and the temperature was very average, perfect for a jogwalk. He begun to sprint around the neighbourhood. As he turns a corner into the alley he's went by three times already, he meets the same masked man from last night. The gun wasn't even drawn out, it was already pointed towards him as soon as he came.

"..."

The shot fired and the victim dropped to his knees, holding his torso as he begun to mutter helplessly.


"N-no! Not my body! What have you done to my precrious b.. b.. berrr"

He couldn't finish his sentence as he drowned out and eventually laid his body down, his eyes stayed open. The killer whistled as he walked away.

They were in the bar, preparing the final stages of their plan. They were this close to getting what they wanted. They had a bit of run-ins with the law, but finally it was all gonna come to fruition. It's too bad they were two people down. They lost the two twins along the ride but with three of the most machavellic schemers left, they would still find a way to get it done.


“I feel like puffing glue again, don't you?”

“Yeah, I might join you on that one.”


It's been so long! The plan required so much effort and with the number of schemers dwindling down, it didn't help. They just felt like taking a break when suddenly...

“Think twice before screwing me over, a-holes!”


He begins shooting up the whole bar! All three men dive and take cover, until both core members of the gang look at each other, shrug and get up before holding and hoisting the third guy in front of them, as a collective body shield. The killer stares right in front of him and delivers a few shots, which goes through the poor guy's chest... arms, legs, etc.


Once the damage was done, the two other men flee the scene, leaving the killer, the victim and a whole lotta blood laying around. Oh, and a lot of collateral damage too.

Assuming there isn't a night kill then tomorrow it'll be 2 town vs. 2 scum with 3 needed to lynch. So even if there are no more night kills at best town can hope for is a draw.

If scum get a night kill in then it'll be 2 scum vs. 1 town and town dies via night kill or day lynch.


If there's 1 scum then it'll be 3 town vs. 1 scum. If we mislynch tomorrow it'll be 2 town (then one dies from NK) and it'll be 1v1, scum wins.

If we no lynch tomorrow it'll be 3 town vs. 1 scum, scum NK's 1, leaving 2 town vs. 1 scum and then again it's a Lynch or Lose situation.

He had realized what happened. He knew he was next. He tried to talk it out with his last comrade in the business. They were at a warehouse down in the city, away from all eyes.

“We are screwed. We are screwed, buddy. It's our last and only chance. We have to sell the bar.”

“WHAT?”

“We give all our shares to him. Down to the last penny.”

“Wow, uh... I guess we have no choice.”

The door is blasted open by a shotgun blast as the killer stepped in and advanced, and this time he wasn't masked no more. His face was out there and he wanted to not waste any more time.


“Surpriiiiise.”

“...dude, we knew it was you.”

“Balls.”

“Whatever man, if you're gonna kill anybody, kill him first.”

“What the-- dude!”

“Dude, sorry man but it's survival of the fittest. And all the ladies dig me.”

“Come on man, I've had a ****ty life so far, I can't go out like this! Not with my best friend shootin' me with a huge sh-sh... sh--”


He fainted instantly.


“Damn it, I knew we shouldn't have had too much glue!”


The mercenary advanced very slowly, and each second which passed by seemed like an eternity. He was stuck in a corner; there was no way out. It was either him or the other guy. Dammit!


“Look, just shoot him, he's down and out, you just take him down, it'll be that much easier!”, he said with a scared chuckle behind.

“Well.. you got a point. But then again... takin' out fainted victims is so easy and so pussied out.”


He aimed at the man cowering in fear and pulled the trigger. Blood spattered all over the wall and that was the end of that. A tragic ending to this fun controversial group of hoodlums. Silence filled the area for a few moments, before all of a sudden, the fainted man sprung up and stared at the killer unscathed and indifferent. He played a ruse!


“Alright, nice one there.”

“Yep. Ready to go?”

“Let's go.”


As if nothing happened, both men straddled off out of the warehouse and into the horizon. As if nothing happened! Their relationship was crazy as it is. When they got back to the headquarters, which was basically... their apartment, they met the other person behind the fiasco, and he made all the advances he still could towards her, but to no avail. She ran off, expecting her prize sooner than later. Although, this was quite a prize in itself.

Hello everyone! Good to see scum get another win in the small games!

Given some thought, everyone should have realised there would be 2 scum in a game this size. Basically, 2 chances to get things right and bust. The moment Prague dropped his vote with just 5 people left it should have been obvious to EVERYONE that he was scum or making a really bad town move by putting someone within speedlynch and game ending possibiilities. Seems people don't use their mafia brains in the small games, perhaps because by time we get down to these numbers in big games there is already tons of info out there.

I'm enjoying reading along with the little games to see how things play out. I'm starting to think the phases should be normal length to ensure people get time to get online more than once. It'll also give some actual experience to newer players in terms of pacing themselves and not rushing into anything. :)

Anyway, the game was solid, and to the point. Quite interesting to see PP pulling the strings and getting away with the W, while the gang disposed of each other as they did. Guess I agree about longer time, inactivity by some really hurt the town. And I guess it being around Thanksgiving time sure didn't help. Either way, well done to the scum. Astonishingly, masterded didn't get looked at since D1 ended, the focus was solely on lprock for lack of posting.

And you guys just happened to lynch the hated townie D1, who would've thunk it. :P Poor Sweet Dee. Obviously, the mechanic would've been nullified had we been down to 3 and > people left.

I suspected prague, mlt and the waghlon guy (mostly just that new player vibe most all of them give) the most. Prague mostly for eagerly throwing that damn vote around with such a little amount of people. Seriously though, horrible timing for this game for me. I was literally gone through pretty much the entire thing thanks to thanksgiving.

And the town played horrible in general, we were definitely too quick to lynch with the little amount of investigating we did. Nobody even looked into mlt for me while I was gone doing thanksgiving ****. :P

Well part of that is true. Phases did wind down to almost near end.

I was unsure of the whole WC lynch. Mj was really hard pressed. I went with it because well, it was almost phase end.

I really as not expecting to have 2 scum in the game. In all honestly a 9 player game with 2 scum is ok, but with 7 that gives 2 phases of misteps and game over.

Once Lprock was lynched I assumed Prague was the scum with a vote minip. Games like this are pretty much hit or miss in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I love them, but with little ot nothng to work with it is pretty hard for both sides to come out on top.

I was building up for a tracker frame job on lprock though. If he would've gotten on and responded I would've cried foul and said I knew he hit MJ.

Because of the double vote I figured townies had powers, so I would've claimed tracker (as I had no clue if there was an investigator or not).

Because me and masterded were prepping for a rush lynch on either lprock or m_l_t. Consider yourself complimented because we were worried you of all people would notice it and work to prevent it.

Also, we gathered that either M_L_T or MJ was a double voter so we were planning to kill one and lynch the other. The problem was that MJ's play, although faulty, was pretty town and I felt it would've been hard to try and push your lynch as a "revenge/punishment" lynch because town could only afford 2 mislynches anyway.

Despite being helpful to us in pushing through the WC lynch, you were far too townie to stay alive :D

Everyone who knows me in my real life outside of work or the U. I have a tendency to say what ever is on my mind and if you show even the slights hint of being uncomfortable, annoyed, or angered it just makes me push it farther. So most my friends thank I just have great one-liners and a dark sense of humor. Their friends who happen to hang around tend to think I am one of the worst people they have ever met.

Though online I am a much nicer person then in real life. I think it may be a result of me having to think longer about everything I say and then rereading it as I spell check it and such. It is like my good side has a chance to catch up before I can have too much fun and has time to stop me.
