Website feature?

I noticed there is a website feature on the editor when you edit the promotions in TEW 2005. What does the website do? And how is it useful?

And secondly, could TEW have online matches/shows? If so let me know

The website feature is purely fluff and was removed in later versions of the game.

The only way to do online games is to trade the save files back and forth.
