Nah, the McMahon's don't bump for nobody. Probably the lawnmower ripped off her disguise, revealed itself as Chyna and powerbombed her into the pool.

Sometimes I wonder if my wrestlers are smarter than I think. With his contract coming up the next day and me considering not renewing, Brett Biggz brought in enough alcohol to float a battleship.
Not only that, Knuckles has his contract coming up soon too and in recent weeks has found a shared love of classical music with Robbie Retro AND a shared love of modern musicals with Marc DuBois. Seems he's moseying up to anyone who shows up on my Next Big Things list to make sure he stays. :)

Stupid, stupid Joey Minnesota. I'm thinking about giving him the last chance punishment so maybe he can get the hint.
Also shouldn't Tommy handle the situation himself since he is technically my employer?

Delegating the task to you though means he doesn't have to get his hands dirty or look like the bad guy to the rest of the employees, you do. Plus it lets him ultimately "win" the argument ;). Since it was just a heated argument, unless he's a proven troublemaker I'd go with something fairly light, like taking the Fatherly Approach to the problem ("Now, now Joey, don't be getting into fights with the owner of the company, you don't want to end up getting blacklisted and have to work micro-indies in Australia under a mask for the rest of your career now do you?")

All the hype, all of the momentum, all the money and star power and your biggest star dies at 50 years old, poor Stallings.
Missed the news item, but was shocked to have a message after multi advance, The job of booker is open at HGC, my first thought was that his contract had run out (I advance 2 months) so I went on Character and he wasn't there :(

does this count as a strange event?!?!
I'm playing as WCW in MCD real world August data. I created them and played with the popularity to compete with WWE. Anyway.....
Stephanie McMahon is the new owner of WWE after Vince retired (wk2 Oct 2010)
Then 2 days later. Sheamus defended his title against Orton, Santino and Kozlov?!?!?! <<<< does that count as strange!?!?!
oh and Michael Hayes is now head booker!?!?!

Had an incident between Raymond Diaz and Torch Nakazawa, where Ray spread rumours that almost lead to a fist fight between the two. The image alone made me laugh, just having Torch sizing up to Diaz.

Rip Chord is being his usual ball ache of a character backstage after nearly starting a fight with another worker he just damaged Demon Anger's rental car and refused to pay. I fined him thinking that was the best reaction, so theoretically I can give the money to Anger so he can pay for the damage but I still expected Chord to act like an arse when I punished him.
To my surprise he said "Yeah, Ok, won't happen again."
I was stunned.

Friday Day 2 May 2010.
Harley Neil died together after contracting a rare and fast working tropical disease after eating an out-of-date pineapple. He was 35 years old .
On a side note, he was also the MOSC UK Champion xD
I thought this was quite funny, and he was also the head booker :P

That's a little wierd
I think someone came across this before. No official word, but we suspect it's either:
- Some people are sad and missing their colleague, but also the locker room is pulling together in the wake of the tragedy, or;
- Some people really liked the deceased, and are depressed by his passing. Some people hated the guy, and are delighted to see him go.
It is a little odd that you don't just get the overall effect, though.

Playing Mr. Canada's Mod, playing as ROH. Had a Necro vs. Jay Briscoe match at Supercard of Honor, and had Necro take a Crazy Bump during the match.
The next day, turned out Necro hurt himself taking the bump. The injury;
Kidney Infection.
I imagine Briscoe jabbed Necro with an infected needle to end the match?

So I decide to start up a "little engine that could" promotion in Ireland, allowing me to work with a new array of characters. A few days in, someone buys majority share in the company ... that someone being Larry "totally awesome, and it's all Nevermore's fault" Wood. Not that unusual, except when he calls me into his office to tell me not to hire any psychopaths.
But Larry's a psychopath ... I'm having a total Finkle is Einhorn moment.

08-27-2010, 05:21 AM
That's still not all THAT weird... just because that's where his own skills lie, doesn't necessarily mean he wants his company to include that style of wrestling. I'm a massive lucha fan, but if I was a wrestler there's no way I could work that style.
Although with Larry Wood, you do get the impression he's probably a bit mental in reality, so yeah, in this instance it is a tad weird. ¬_¬

None of you can beat this one:
Alex Dunvegan ripped the worst fart ever backstage, making everyone leave . . . So Rob Van Dam found an old karaoke machine and Devon Storm brought a ton of beer, and RVD let out some drunken power ballads in front of the whole locker room.
P.S. 10 to 1 RVD was high the whole time.
Oh, and this took place in LONDON.
Yes, those three incidents happened on the same freaking night. I can imagine the backstage atmosphere.

Just as a note, about a Global promotion having an attendance of 139:
I'm trying to expand into the UK and Europe where I have only 17 popularity. My weekly WWF International Xplosion is an event that doesn't air on TV or PPV that I use to boost popularity in regions I need to boost. I did it in Mexico and quickly got a TV deal there. This one will be tougher, though, because I'm starting much lower down than I was in Mexico.

Cannot believe this completely out of the blue was one of my long term targets in USPW and he's f'n retired in 2012!!!
Just checked though and he did get a semi-severed spine and was out for 13 months, and TCW stuck by him and paid him and when he recovered he couldn't get back in the ring, first young shock retirement he's had.

At 25 I reckon Edd may actually be able to become pretty good after about 30 years, not that I'll get that far and he has a looooooooooooooooooooong time working in wrestling 40 years left if he retires at 65, I'd hate to think he's stuck as a not-assigned-yet I don't know what he's going to be as he has all non-active roles to never, will this change soon?

My SWF game just had a very entertaining night on the way to The Supreme Challenge XXX. In just one show I had:
Angry Gilmore taking Davis Wayne Newton on as his protege
Stephanie Drucker doing impressions of the roster (on top of her road stories from the previous week)
AND
Big Smack Scott's first incident (it's July!)... with him provoking and attacking Bruce The Giant. I mean, if you want to take over control of the locker-room then going for the big dog is one way of doing it... but it's a little extreme! :p
Poor BS Scott... I was strongly considering giving the Pain Alliance the tag belts but I'm no longer convinced that it's a good idea. Though Scott didn't give too much of a bad reaction to his fine, so I'm not ruling it out yet. :)

That's a bug... one that hasn't been reported in a loooong time. Something goes wrong in the hiring process and the first person in the database is subbed in instead of the person who should be hired. In TEW that's Mito Miwa... in WMMA2 it was Manish Kahn. Are you using the latest patch?
Also... it's not biggie when it does happen. And it's always to see Miwa expanding his horizons, especially since he can do a damn good job. :)

whats more interesting, is that it was my first death in this game. I was multi-advancing a few days and then got stopped because i had a decision awaiting, and i happend to see the news feed and im like "WHAT!?!?! CORNELL SOLD TCW?!? NO WAY!?" and then I went to see maybe cornell jumped ship to SWF or something crazy, but then saw he was deceased. Also more shocking, TCW doesnt go to Keith? or even Wolfe Hawkins? or cornells wife? His son has not entered the game yet. hm.... atleast this guy who took over does have REALLY high backstage stats so interesting to see where this goes.
Edit: sorry, ive been followin the boards for a LONG time but im new to posting.... can someone tell me how to actually have the pics show up so i dont look like a noob tard? :( haha thanks
Edit Edit: ok..... why is it when im logged in, the pics dont show up..... but if i logout and go to the forums as a visitor, i can see the pics?

Hopefully thats visable.
If you switch it from letter grades to numbers, its a 4.
Almost perfect.
GruntMark told me about this glorious bout when it went down. I figured that, odds are, both men accidentally fell on the ground, got tangled up on each other, and just flopped about in helpless attempts to get back up for six minutes straight.
Or something to that extent.

I have never gotten an F- match before (I have had a ton of F- angles, I once had an angle with Jerry Martin in it rate out a two and I was so proud.), who was Land Mass facing off with in that awsome match?
I've gotten one F- match in my USWP game. It was Ekmuh the Hawaiian Strongman versus Rhino Umaga. I was hoping that Rhino would be able to carry Ekmuh to a watchable match but no dice. Fortunately it was only a dark match.
Oddly Demon Anger was able to do better next week, getting an E match out of Ekmuh.

I have a question...and it's about touring.
I know, I know. I've done a lot of research on the forum as of late, but this question is not about how to set up the tour.
I'm wondering what the benefit of the tour schedule is in the game? I'm not a fan of how it's implemented in TEW so playing as my small 0/0/0/0 Japanese promotion, I've just set up a weekly show on a regular schedule with a monthly super show.
Progress has been steady, I'm at a 50% in Kanto, but only about a 18 everywhere else. Would there be any benefit to moving to a touring schedule if I can simply do a weekly event as is and run the entire year anyway?

I think (THINK) touring companies don't have as high of expenses, for whatever reason. I've seen numerous touring companies hit Cult with the minimum requirements and not miss a beat, while other companies would surely die if they attempted to do so.

So, Champagne Lover announces he's leaving SOTBPW because he's "too big for them", since they're only Cult and he has B+ overness.
Two days later, SOTBPW hit National :D
I have NEVER seen SOTBPW actually reach National, they always sorta top out as a large Cult company... and the one time they pull it off, it's a freakin' weekend too late to keep their top star.
I do have some confidence that they can stay at National, however, as their best match to date didn't even involve Champagne Lover. Instead, it was an A rated match between El Demonio and "The Priest of Pain" Pablo Rodriguez... which, I'll be honest, sounds like a FREAKING AMAZING match. A demon fighting a priest? Only in lucha libre!
The strange thing is, El Demonio won.

DOTT Mod - Not sure Dory Funk Jr. really knows what he is doing as Head Booker at Mid-Atlantic...
The Brisco Brothers (Jerry and Jack, that is), and their Cish pop, have just dropped the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag belts to Rocky King and Dizzy Ed Hogan (Brutus Beefcake), of F+ popularity. The new champions are aptly named the Great Team .
Dory's not scared to face a challenge though, his Mid-Atlantic Championship matches (of which he is the title holder) have been against...Dizzy Hogan, Thunderfoot I and Angelo Mosca Jr. If you add their total pop together you'd struggle to get an E+ in one area. To be fair, it has been assigned a Low Level title but still, talk about pushing yourself to the limit... :p
Dory also put together the almighty team of Terry Funk and Ric Flair - the pair, which only lasted around a month, were known as Catastrophe. :D

Reports Indicate that NOTBPW management are very keen to make Derek Frost the focal point of the promotion. Their belief is that he is ideal to build the company around as he is on the verge of being a massive break-out star, and his popularity will mean big business for them.

That is kinda weird, I rarely see anyone outside of NOTBPW win that award when I'm playing.
I've got my own strange event to deliver today... The Big Problem just had an 81 rated match that went a full 15 minutes. It's still 2010 and I'm still only a cult company so this was something of a shocker.

It wasn't on regular starting data, but I don't know how much that affected.... Ironically, I was setting up a "cheat" game to play as the SWF, so they had extra talent in development. Despite that, TCW have been dominant. They have dominated the top ten for seven years now. I don't know that the altered data affected NOTBPW at all - they never lost any talent or anything. All their main players are still there, plus they've turned Shooter Sean Deeley into a world class talent.
Simmed another year and Cornell's run is over - he was trumped by Troy Tornado this time around. Cornell ended up at #3.

So In another thread I posted that I created myself as a refferee and assigned myself to NOTBPW because its my favoriote promotion in the c-verse. The weird thing is that his contract is coming up so I went to negitiate with him and a few days later I got a message saying that he wasn't going to resign because he didn't feel that NOTBPW was a big enough company. I just shot myself in the foot because I made him too good.

It's March 2012 in my 0/0/0 game (just made small 3 months ago!) and Dread is still wrestling! He's only semi-active, but he has yet to retire, and, as such, is still listed as only a "Future member of the HoI."
I'm pretty amazed by this.
His highest rated match was an 89 in a loss with Yoshimi Mushashibo and Shuji Inukai to Mito Miwa, PRIDE Koiso and Eisaku Kunomasu.
On average, he nets a nice little 72 rating with 43 wins and 32 losses. He's yet to wrestle in 2012.

No negative relationships, no recent news stories. He all of the sudden quit and is now unemployed. And he just managed his 18th defense of the CGC Word title barely a week beforehand. 78 pop across Canada, so he has lost abit over the year. Participant in 6 out of 10 of CGC's top 10 matches. #75 on the Power 100 for 2010. What was he thinking leaving like that?
Is there anything I should look for as to why he left?

Popularity. He's at around the level of popularity where workers won't sign for a cult level promotion, which CGC almost certainly is. Doesn't matter about family relationships or anything, he's gonna sign with NOTBPW pretty soon, he usually does. :)

That's what I'd do. I mean, you just elevated an enhancement Talent up to a Main Eventer / Upper Midcarder with one match, as well as jobbing somebody who's leaving your promotion. Win / Win = Pop Gain (Voodoo) / Pop Loss (Leaving)

However that is not why I am posting this because its not really strange what is strange is what happened to Jack DeColt. Here is the story...
Jack DeColt hurt Badly
Jack DeColt is the center of a crazy story today, with reports that he was injured last night in a freak incident involving a mountain lion. What role the animal played is unclear, but we are hearing that the injury will require him to take time off to heel.
Thats not the funny part when I went to see what the injury was it said...
"Jack DeColt is currently out of action with a Distended Anus. He will be back in four days."
My question is what in the blue hell was he doing with this animal and what does having a distended anus entail because it sounds like it hurts. That's all nothing huge but I thought it was halarious as I laughed for about ten straight minutes and I thought I would share it with you all. Hope you find as much humor in it as I did.

Now I am 5 years 10 monthes into my game with FCW (The Longest game I have ever done) a mere two monthes after hiring Joey Poison as their head booker SWF rises to Global (once again after falling to cult before) the first thing they did or it seemed to be was that they fired removed Joey Poison as their head booker. So there you go this really strikes me as odd why bring in a guy to be a head booker of a company and not even give him a chance unless those two monthes did really bad business.

By the way, a distended anus is pretty much the anus coming out of the butt. Kind of like being disemboweled, but not through the stomach.
Or like a hernia, except with the anus, and out the butt.

Completely aside from Sandman obviously ODing because he couldn't face the thought of evolving, that mod seems to be pretty accuate. All Star do tour at Oakengates Theatre (I live 2 miles away), and that is pretty much what they get as a turn out. Congrats, whoever made it ;)

I find this to be strange in my 2022 WCW game. 36-year old Alicia Strong decides to hang up the wrestling boots and hopefully take over as USPW's owner. I edited her owner skills so that she could inherit the company, otherwise it would never happen. I find it strange that Sam Strong is still owner after all of these years too. I understand she's "old" for a women's wrestler, but her physical condition (as you can see) is practically perfect considering the easy-going USPW product.

I mean, c'mon... DEVIL Karube is 42-years old and still active for 5SSW (one of the many WCW child promotion's). It's actually a good thing considering I send a bunch of young women workers over there (random generated workers) and with the skills those Japanese workers have (along with the touring schedule) makes for some great development.

8 years 4 monthes into my FCW game, SWF had Eric Eisen as their head booker for a while but he lost the book after about four monthes (The longest any booker has stayed there since they fired their origional one) I will let you know who replaces Eric when it happens.
Edit: Now 8 years 6 monthes into my game and Joey Poison is once again the head booker of SWF I wonder how long he will last as head booker this time and if the person to replace him (if he loses the book) will be someone who hasn't had it before or if they will go back to someone who had it previously.

I decided to post a recap of the deaths that have happened in my 2022 WCW game.
Nemesis died in January 2013 at the age of 54.
Ultra Fly died in March 2014 at the age of 27 - an overdose due to hard drugs.
Whipper Spencer Marks died in January 2020 at the age of 81.
Alfredo Mendez died in July 2021 at the age of 81.
Extreme Deluxe died in January 2022 at the age of 32 - another hard drug related death.
El Patron died in May 2022 at the age of 81.
It's really strange that there hasn't been more deaths. It's REALLY weird that I didn't have a death for 6-years (from 2014 to 2020).

I knew that was in the default data as a narrative...but to see that this weekend would've thrown me for a loop.
