So in my USPW game, Mikey James severed his spine or something in January 2010 (no I didn't sign him yet but I was thinking about ), and was out for 12 months. He finally came off injury and I offered him a contract. He refused to do house shows and I roleplay a little bit when I play TEW so I dropped out of negotations. Well that turned out to be a good decision on my part because he retired a week later. Yeah, Mikey James retired at 24 years old. I guess the spinal injury was pretty serious. ;)
Lesson learned though: Check a worker's physical condition before you offer them a contract. Luckily for me I didn't end up suffering any consequences. :)
Sucks though cause I could really use a solid tag team.

Yup, semi-severed spinal column is an auto-retirement inducing injury if it hits someone. They aren't common, but I usually see one every few years in game.
I believe you CAN save someone's career with a successful surgery, but it's an incredibly risky surgery and I'm sure even if it's successful they'll never be quite the same again, and probably one solid body injury away from retiring anyways. Also, they'd probably have to be in decent condition pre-injury for a successful surgery to save their careers.
Still, they're nasty. I don't look forward to the day I have to deal with one.

SWF goes down to cult in September 2010 (not strange, but a little quicker than usual).
Victoria Stone is named the new booker of SWF, and is still working with NOTBPW, on PPA contracts!

What's with Christopher Daniels? ..
As TNA, I gave him a reign, and first reign, as TNA's Television Champion, and he had a record of 28 wins, and maybe 4 or 5 losses, and 3 of them pre-show, and yet he is unhappy and refuses to negotiate with me?
It's also kind of odd, that I already had it planned on who was becoming the 2nd Television Champion, but along the way, in BSE, he teams with Robert Roode, and holds the Tag straps there currently, and I just had him lose the Television Championship to Robert Roode.. Heh, right..Just a coincidence, I'm sure..

Misawa becomes this huge, HUGE japanese star (over 90 across Japan) and gets quickly nabbed by NJPW, before his fateful matches against Kobashi, who still sits in the upper midcard of AJPW.

Hired Zimmy Bumfole and his first three matches he gets a great chemistry note with first American Elemental, then Amazing Fire Fly, then Velocidad. He's a Main Eventer, Fire Fly & Velocidad started as openers. After one C+ rated match a piece with Zimmy they jump up to the mid-card. AmEl started as a mid-carder, his match with Zimmy put him at Upper-mid happy days for the cruiserweight division :D Well, except that AmEl has been signed away to tour Japan for 2 months and their tour has their show on the same day as me, damn you GCG!!
Playing XxFutureLegend112xX's absolutely fantastic 2000 mod, and a week before New Blood Rising Bill Goldberg heads to Hollywood to make a new film (Clutch Control). I don't think I've ever had that happen to one of my workers in all my time playing TEW. I'd be happy if he wasn't scheduled to fight in the PPV's main event :D

Mod: Death Of The WWE
Only a few days in, going on a signing spree as WCW. Learned a valuable lesson. Scott Hall is my second highest paid superstar, at $55,000, while Hulk Hogan is of course the highest paid. Entered negotiations with Scott Levy (Raven), ROH entered negotiations aswell. Now, I kept getting the message that stated he wanted to be paid higher, as persons around his level were getting paid so and so amount. I ended negotiations after he refused $65,000. The starting price was $17,000. Turns out, Scott Hall's popularity in America was only C-, while Raven's was B-. Now, I can either fire Scott Hall, or have some of the better midcard negotiators all having a deal of $50,000 and above.

Just got a genned worker in my game by the name of Parent Joy. She's a 19 year old Canadian heavyweight female and that is one silly name. I think it's the first time I've seen the name "Parent" as a first name too, which is odd. Almost seems like the game flipped the names around, which isn't something I've ever noticed happening before.

I usually like to share a pic or two but 1) I'm lazy today and 2) I just noticed this:
Marv Statler's win loss record in MWF (my created fed) is 8-25 and he just hit main event status. I figure I might as well push him to the main event status even though I'm thinking he's going to go down.
It seems strange to me since he doesn't have real star quality besides being a decent worker. However, I've been putting him up against some of the upper midcard/main event scene like Champagne Lover and Brandon Smith.
Also, since hitting the main event scene, Statler & Waldorf just beat Culture Shock (Lover & Phillipe LaGrenier) for their first reign with the tag titles. It's kind of cool but still really odd to me. I thought I might as well give them the tag titles since I've been jobbing them for a long time.

ACPW’s Daedalus Buchinsky dies from exploding (no other cause given, he just exploded). "Experts are still baffled", so the story says (guessing it was pretty messy :)). Needless to say ACPW was looking for a new owner and The Masked Mauler stepped up and has taken the reins. If they weren’t still at local size, I’d think of taking the HB job but I’ve been working in the UK for almost 2 years now and doing better than they are (good luck TMM).

So I'm using MrCanada's latest data and I've simmed until January 2014. I was originally doing it just to see how things play out when I turned on regens and random worker generation. Some AWESOME regens and new workers have debuted, but that's not what I'm posting.
In January of 2014, Adam "Edge" Copeland has opened All Canada Pro-Wrestling. I decided I was done "watching" and applied for the job of booker. So, I applied and got it.
What's the first event that was planned before I even took the reins? ACPW On The Edge.
That's awesome!
I just checked the editor and that was purely random.

Alan Parent. I think the game just pulls first and last names from the database and sticks em together for gens.
The game has only the most limited way of generating names from it's pre-coded lists. The Cornellverse was originally populated at it's creation by a lot of people with names made from that list, many of which have changed over the years to other names and have hidden that. But yeah, the game just pulls names from it's pre-existing list and does that.
My original point was that I'd never seen Parent as a first name in the game before. I've been playing a long time and it was a new name, especially from the English language names I've paid most attention to in my various games. The fact that I've also never seen Joy as a surname made me think that the game had switched them round, which again is something I've never noticed the AI do before. So many firsts for something I've seen so many times was something of interest to me. :)

So, I've edited the database so that most promotions have an annual tournament, because personally I've always loved them. I ended up with a bit of an odd scenario playing out.
I made one for FCW called the "Caribbean Classic" that's set for every June. Without realizing it, I set the tournament title to be mid-card, when it was supposed to be main event. It actually took me a couple years to realize this, but I eventually noticed that the winners were all mid-carders, and I checked to figure out why. That's not the weird part, it's just me being an idiot and not double checking my modifications.
The strange part is that the annual tournament, which features only midcard workers, has been getting the highest average grades of the year. Two of the last five years, it has been FCW's best show, tied one time, and came up just short of being the best show on the other two occasions.
I guess it says good things about the depth of their midcard that they can put on a C+ rated show with no main event-level stars at all.
I've considered keeping it that way in the database, to see how it plays out when I start up a new game.

Running a small Canadian indy promotion, and was able to snag Zimmy Bumfhole for a contract, after he'd been let go by SWF. Fun times were had, and I was just building him up to take my top title, when SWF signed him back. Bit of a bummer, but to be expected. I started searching for a replacement, hoping to find someone as young, as talented, as popular as Zimmy.
I found Randy Bumfhole, who was let go from SWF about a week before they signed his brother. Weird.

Happens in my games every time.
Same here, until my current game when The Stomper retired "Runaway Train" Barry Bowen grabbed the reins. He even got them to come out on top in a Regional battle with PSW & FCW in his first month. That was without hiring a booker yet and he's got a 1 in booking skills.

So, I'm booking the SWF in 2015 and Richard Eisen (my boss) decides to goad Robbie Retro (contract expiring soon+just recalled from development to job) into an argument... probably about the fact that Retro is going to be leaving the company soon, though I was considering keeping him as he's high up on the prospects list and briefly showed as a Next Big Thing.
Anywho... Eisen being the boss, I decide to do nothing (after testing to see if I could fire him, which I couldn't do :p) which has apparantly made him cocky backstage. The strange thing is... Eisen's morale took a hit for the incident, while Retro's morale stayed the same though he developed a simmering tension relationship with me for not doing anything about the situation.
So now Retro is jobbing his way out of the company... I just lost Matthew Keith to TCW since I'm still cult (though I'm just waiting for the cooling down period to end) and I'm about to lose Remo too as he doesn't think I'm big enough for him despite him being my World Champion and him being part of the roster his entire career. Lots of changes coming to the SWF, but we recently acquired some new signings that should help. Champagne Lover is going to head up a trio of awesome luchas and Hollywood Bret Star (who was in development) is joining the roster to team up with my new Next Big Thing... Jay Chord.
My roster now has Big Smack Scott, Kurt Laramee, Jim Force and Jay Chord all in one place. I'm scared. I'm really scared.

Speaking of SWF, I just had 3 pre-show incidents in my game which had a curious impact on my locker room morale. Note: I didn't check in between incidents, but here's what happened:
I started with 90% Locker Room Morale. Went out and checked and I had incidents with Richard Eisen (locker room poison), Pat Deacon (neutral) and Randy Bumfhole (neutral) so I wasn't sure what to expect. Eisen's was that he ripped a fart. Haha, Take No Action. Then Pat Deacon, with worry brewing, and he did road stories. Sweet, so that should mitigate the fart, right? How about Randy? He's floating boats with booze, whoo! So I should have a net gain with 2 positive and 1 negative incident, right? Nope, down to 89%. Are farts a hugely negative occurance?

I think I just achieved something never before achieved, something that by all rights should probably be an official achievement and give you all kinds of magical rewards...
Jay Chord was just reasonable in response to disciplinary action!
After pulling a tasteless prank I decided to take the fatherly approach (which probably involved getting drunk and partying with him given who his dad is/was :p) and he isn't unhappy with me, the locker-room isn't pissed and his text seemed to indicate he was happy even if he didn't quite understand. 1 month in and the Jay Chord experiment is going well! :D

So I recently started 7 different games, each starting from a different game area. In my European or VWA game I've decided to have the company operate with a "contract" that goes much like RoH's code of honor. In line with that one of the tenants of the Victory Contract being the promotion's no alliances or tag teams rule. With the exception of a tag team tournament that is supposed to be held every October. Of course this would mean I wouldn't have any experienced tag teams running around come tournament time. As such I figured it would be smart to hire at least two experienced teams ahead of time for said event. And two months in already lost one of said teams.
Despite being openers the Agents are probably the happiest guys on my roster. No idea why, probably because they autopushed into the Lower Midcards after they were each squashed, but I won't complain. Then comes the Party Animals. After my first event, Trance overdoses. Surviving with stats that are just awful and a good chance he'll be a repeat offender after being yelled at in his drug addled state. Which leads to the strange thing. The locker room morale seems to be affected both positively and negatively on his OD. Either half the people working for me hate the guy, or half are just jerks.

In my TCW game (currently in 2012) I noticed that Sean McFly hadn't resigned with NOTBPW, and had instead taken a tour of Japan for BHOTWG. His tour wasn't too impressive, loosing more than winning, but considering his popularity in Japan that wasn't a surprise.
What was a surprise was what happened after the tour: He signed with CGC, instead of returning to NOTBPW. I'm not sure why either...he has no negtive relationships with anyone in the company, and NOTBPW is beating out CGC in every respect (NOTBPW is International with 90 prestige, whereas CGC is National with about 85 prestige.)
In the 4 months he's been with CGC, he's only lost one match (his debut against Alex DeColt) and has managed to get their show average up from B- to B+ on a fairly consistent basis.
Should be interesting to see where it goes.

Sam Keith just lost the TCW World title. In February 2021. Sam Keith is 60.
I've never seen an active (or semi-active) wrestler last to that age, let alone win a World title and keep it for 14 months like he did. Granted, he's the Head Booker, but still. And I thought it was impressive when he held the title for a year at aged 53-54...
If that's not strange enough, he lost the title to Super Lucha Scott, aka Big Smack Scott, who's now 79% of the way to the HOI.

[All this is pretty pointless but I want to write it anyway]:p
Okay I'm playing in a 2006 WWE Mod. I added ECW and the title scene began to get stale. With RVD as ECW champion since Mania (Now in June) I decided to bring in new people. Bischoff started a superstar initiative to implement new superstars.
I had just signed Christian from TNA and he was about to debut to accept RVD's challenge but at the last minute I removed him from the booking and replaced him with Kurt Angle who was lost in the shuffle on Smackdown. So after accepts RVD's challenge he has his first match on ECW against R-Truth winning.
The following day R-Truth gets injured with the injury of Mental Institutionalization (5 months and 3 Weeks).
I just found it funny that out of all the injuries R-Truth gets the most fitting one (due to his crazy antics in the Summer of 2011)

I started a save with USPW yesterday afternoon, I started it and then set everything up advance booked the first PPV so typically what anyone does in order to set up a new game.
On the first edition of American Wrestling Nicky Champion defeated Jumbo Jackson.
The Multi Advance stopped on Thursday Week 1, January 2010 (I was only advancing till the next show) but there was a story about Nicky Champion and I thought nothing of it. He had died. This is only the second save I have played with TEW (Since I started playing with the 08 version) where someone in my promotion died. The first was when Big Cat Brandon died in a game I was doing with DAVE after converting the 07 data to 2010. This death truly shocked me though because I was never able to use Nicky properly.
He was supposed to team with The Force to take on the tag team champions Des Davids and Freddie Datsun but obviously that didn't happen.

I don't play the C-Verse, so I don't know, but is Nicky Champion a great worker? The only death I've ever had in my promotion was in Genadi's 1987 mod, playing as Jim Crockett Promotions: on Tuesday (literally the second day of the game), Pez "Shaska" Whatley died of a drug overdose. Imagine if Hulk Hogan retired from the ring in about 2004, then bought up the #4 promotion in the US. A blatantly-patriotic promotion that was a pure throwback to the 80s WWF heyday, Hogan took that promotion to the #3 spot. Then if Hogan took a promising young worker as a protege, helping mold that talent so they looked like a future world champion. That protege and future world champoin would be Nicky Champion.

I'm playing as TNA using the 'New Power Is Rising - January 2006' mod. Some strange events have happened that I'd like to share:
Vince McMahon announced his intentions to retire in October 2006 (the day of the WWE No Mercy PPV). On Sunday, Week 1, November 2006 Mr. McMahon finally parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment. Shane McMahon took over the company and quickly removed his sister from power. After a week of searching for a new head booker, Shane McMahon decided on bringing back one of the most controversial bookers in the wrestling world... Vince Russo.
Since Russo took over there has actually been a few title changes. With Stephanie booking the shows from January-October I think one title changed hands. This right here proves that Russo truly is booking the shows for WWE right now in my game: Rory McAllister def. Ric Flair for the WWE Intercontinental championship at Survivor Series.

I don't know why, but for some reason I find this absolutely hilarious!! I know he's a bad ass but I didn't think he had it in him to kill someone!

Sensational Dragon was told to job to Kikkawa and was heard to reply "Over my dead body". Kikkawa took this seriously and killed him with several Kikkawa Drivers.

I hold 2 big events a month since I can't get TV... week 2 show is a monthly show that draws 12,000. Week 4 show is always an annual event like Bachlash or No Way Out. That draws 6,000... I figured since I have 2 big events a month one must kill the other. So I did away with the monthly show at week 2. The annual shows still do only 6,000... huh? No one else has an event that day. Maybe the monthly event has more credit even though its at average prestiege while the annual shows are high in prestiege. Doesn't make sense.

I don't think I've ever had a long term game where 21CW haven't eventually gone out of business. The game isn't very good at making stars so a product like 21CW's tends to not quite be able to grow their popularity as much as they could... so they kinda plateau just short of being able to break even and slowly drain their financial reserves. When the industry is hot I think they can make some money, but when a slump happens they go down slowly... don't think I've ever seen them last more than 5 years in a game. ROF usually ends up as the UK's #1 with some awesome matches but no weekly TV... HIW are always around too... and I forget the third promotion now but they're also not very good. Kinda leads to the death of British and European wrestling, which makes me sad. :(

In my farewell game, C-Verse in May 2012. Christian Faith was unemployed since October 2011, but just signed with TCW. Sam Strong retired and Belle Bryden took over USPW.
The two most over workers are Tommy Cornell and Joey Minnesota.

After being let go by SWF in the beginning of 2011, Bart Biggz has become the King of the Indies. As of October 2011, he's become the Coastal Zone Champion, NYCW Empire Champion, FCW Puerto Rican Champion and one half of the FCW Tag Champions with James Hernadez. It's safe to say Bart has been doing work.
