A little new to this forum so bare with me. I haven't played the game since the 2005 version. I know the game does not include real wrestlers, but is there a good site to get the real wrestlers? I know in the past version you were able to go to a couple of good sites. Thanks in advance.

There's a mods board, search for real world mods. That'll be for 08, not 10...it'll be quite a while before any good mods for 10 show up.

You'll be able to find some RWModes right here in the forum. I'm assuming there will me a thread for that under the 2010 version once it is released.

OH RIGHT... Sooo... real world mods. What's up with that? I mean, does anyone really wanna play a game world where John Cena is popular? That sounds like a fantasy... John Cena's fantasy.

I want to successfully turn Cena heel. I've tried to do it with the 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and the most recent mod and it has never worked right. I just never seem to be able to do it correctly.

Anyone have any idea how it would be possible? I mean I know you can "do it" but I mean does anyone have a really good idea at how to make it realistic?

Probably just turning on someone and changing his gimmick that is something similar to what his early heel gimmick was in WWE.

I mean, that seems unlikely -- I'm not really up on real wrestling, but from what I know, Cena seems like the kind of guy who could play a heel. Then again, I don't make the mods... who knows what kinds of data they have?

In my opinion, Cena can't play a heel. He would need to drastically alter his character... He would need something edgy. Nothing about Cena is edgy at all. He's basically an old school face who raps.

Well, he can play a heel because he was a pretty good one for a while. With him being pretty much the face of the WWE these days, his character is squeeky clean and, seeing as he rakes in so much in merchandise sales, I can't see that changing in anytime soon. Still, a slow, subtle turn where his character becomes less likable (from a kid's point of view...) would make it be believable, you couldn't just have him turn on Triple H or something.

I'd give him a C+ rating for heel performance in the game, his heel character was not bad.

When was the last time he rapped? He just yells randomly and pops veins now.

BUT his current character has nothing to do with his ability to play a heel. He's certainly capable of that.

I don't think there's really an argument about that. In a well done mod, Cena would have his heel performance be at least equal to and probably higher than his babyface performance. He's a natural heel, and a forced babyface.

I'd advise turning Cena after he builds up all that pressure on himself: Undefeated streak, going to Wrestlemania, world title shot... and loses.

Or gets knocked out of the Rumble early on.

Or something like that.

The catalyst would be that Cena's had all that pressure building for years. All the chanting, all the title reigns, the injuries, the Make-A-Wish stuff, being the public face of WWE - and in the end it's all too much.

Cena is wrestling. I can't think of anyone who's bene such a good public face for the company, for so long. Hogan had his issues, Rock was a great person to have around, but he was only around for three or four years at the very top, but Cena's been on top for five years without a whiff of a scandal, as far as I can tell.

Letting all that go in one almighty heel turn could be epic.
