Normally bookers of any kind have a long and emotive journey that they have travelled to reach the point where they are at. Not with me. It seemed to just fall on my lap. Maybe I am the exception that proves the rule. Having only recently just turned 25, I cannot claim to be a veteran of any sort. But hey, I must be doing something right. Not too long ago I was working on the indy scene, and without sounding like too much of a braggart, I wasn't half bad. Accolades were thrown around, almost to the extent that I began to believe in my own hype. "The next big thing", "Rookie of the Year", "Indy Standout", were just a few of the titles that I was being tentatively labelled with. Then the world of professional wrestling as I knew it came crashing down around me.

On the 23 June 2009, I severely tore my hamstring and consequently had to withdraw from my wrestling capacity. How could this happen? I had shown so much promise. Only to be sidelined by an injury that could have been avoided. I couldn't let my promoters down that had relied on me for so long, I continued to go to the shows, mingled backstage, helped in any way shape or form I could. However, I couldn't prevent things turning for the worse that Saturday evening in July.

"What do you mean you can't make it?"

"I'm sorry, I really am, but my hands are tied."

"But you're the booker for God's sake!"

"I know, I know, but I can't make it to the show. You are going to have to tell boss for me."

"Are you insane?"

"He likes you kid, it will sound better coming from you."

"But....."

"Anyway, I gotta go. Sorry." (Dialling tone)

Oh this isn't good, this isn't good at all. Slowly I walked to the intimidating office of "The Boss", preparing myself to be torn limb from limb. Clearing my throat I tentatively knocked.

"What!?"

"It's me boss......I have some bad news."

"You better come in then Jack."

"Ummmm, I'm not quite sure how to tell you this but......"

I could feel his eyes glaring at me, like a lion does before pouncing on his prey.

"Well.....spit it out kid I haven't got all day!"

The gruffness in his voice indicating a long relationship with cigars and hard liquor.

"Stevie can't make it. He said something about a family emergency."

The tension was palpable. It was like watching a volcano before it erupts. The bosses cold stare now giving way to a look of anger and hatred.

"That son of a b****. The only crisis that Stevie has had to deal with is where he is going to get his next supply of nose candy from. He has been progressively getting worse. You know what, I have had enough with his antics, he's gone. I will call him next week. He wasn't courteous to call me so why the hell should I do any differently for him."

"But what about the show? We start in 5 hours."

"I'm aware of this kid."

A long pause gave me chance to think about Stevie. Yes he had his problems. It's not that people haven't tried to help him, but he is now at the stage where he can only help himself. I was snapped out of the thought by Boss banging his boulder like fist onto the table.

"I have an idea."

"What is it boss?"

"I have been hearing you in the back talking to the boys. You are quite creative are you not."

"Ummmm......well I..."

(interrupting) "Now is not the time to be modest son."

"I have a few ideas, yeah."

A quizzical look was now plastered on his face. There was a momentary pause before I heard

"Well, tonight you get to show what you can do."

"What!?"

"You are booking the show kid!"

"Ummm, well, OK. But I haven't had any experience."

"You have been in this locker room for how long now?"

"3 years."

"Well right now that will have to do. I don't expect any miracles but I don't want to see the crowd leaving half way through the show. If you can manage that, you have done a good first job. Now, your first order of business, go tell the boys what they need to do tonight."

Leaving the room I felt a sense of euphoria. I have control! That feeling was soon replaced by trepidation when I entered the locker room. I could tell by their faces they knew something was up

8 Hours Later

As the show came to an end, a sense of relief swept over me. I had done as I was asked. Everybody had stayed through the entire show. Not only that, they seemed to really get into the action as well. There were a few hairy moments though when one of our younger rookies accidently caught Billy Jack Shearer full force right on the bridge of the nose, causing an eruption of blood. Fortunately, Billy being the seasoned veteran that he is continued on with the match as scheduled to the relief of not only myself but his alarmed opponent. I was truly touched when Shearer came to me after his match and said that he thought I was doing a good job. At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but the look in his eyes told me that he meant what he was saying. All that was left to do was to report back to the boss.

"I gotta admit kid, you did a good job."

"Thank you sir."

(With a dismissive wave) "Please, enough of this formal talk."

"I have to say that I was nervous when the show started."

"You and me both! But the crowd ate it up. In fact I would like to offer you the job full time."

"Well thanks. But without sounding ungrateful, what about my wrestling?"

"Kid you were a good wrestler. Scratch that a great wrestler, but I see potential in you as a booker. And who knows, maybe down the road you can make your way back into the ring, but right now you are in no condition to wrestle."

After a second or two, mulling over the decision I came to a conclusion.

"OK. I accept."

"Excellent! Now if you don't mind kid, I gotta make some calls."

"Yes si......I mean..... I will leave you to it."

Almost over the period of 8 hours I had changed. Starting like a little kid outside of the headmasters office waiting to be disciplined to feeling like a somebody. I had seen a side of boss which few had ever seen. Kindness and dare I say it, warmth. But I cannot dwell on what had just transpired. I must focus on the future of this company. Hell, I am the booker after all.

December 2009

After another show that I was in charge of culminated, I prepared to head home. Having grown in confidence over the last few months I now felt that I had began to hit my stride creatively. Stories seemed to come in my imagination almost continuously. This was a big step from when I started out. Yes I had a few ideas but not enough to progress more than a month or two. Thankfully due to the quality of workers that I had at my disposal the storylines began to write themselves. Now don't get me wrong, I did create several angles and match-ups that helped with theses stories all of which were well received by the audience, but as a famous man once said, an artist is nothing without his canvas. With my bags packed I headed towards the exit.

"Jack, Jack!"

I looked around to see a member of the ring crew running after me.

"Whoa, what's the rush?"

"The boss wants to see you."

"Right now?" I asked knowing full well what the answer would be.

"Yes. He said it is very important."

Begrudgingly I made for the hallowed office.

(Knock, knock, knock)

"Come in."

"You wanted to see me?"

"Indeed I did." He took a long sip of his black label scotch before continuing. "Sit down Jack, we need to talk."

Uh Oh. Nobody ever says we need to talk in the world of wrestling without following it with bad news of one form or another. I sat down slowly trying to think of anything I had done that could cause me to be in trouble.......I couldn't think of anything.

"You have been in charge of this promotion for 6 months correct?"

"I believe so, yes." (my voice cracking slightly with nerves.)

"How do you feel that has being working out."

Not wanting to sound too arrogant I thought of an appropriate answer.

"I think things have been going just fine."

The look on his face told me that this is not the answer he had wanted to hear.

"Well, I don't know about that."

My heart sank

"I would say you have done a terrific job. You have booked well, shown creative flair and have held the respect of the boys in the back and you know as well as I do that that doesn't come easy. I am impressed and I am not the only one."

The overwhelming sense of relief nearly caused me to fall off my chair but I managed to hold it together.......wait a sec.

"You're not the only one?"

"No...... Jack, I would like you to meet somebody."

In the mental state I was in when I entered the room I hadn't noticed the third man standing by the door. There he was. In a nice tailored suit with his short black hair that made him instantly recognisable to me and any other wrestling fan. He is the reason that many newcomers are in this business today. Standing before me in all his glory was Tommy Cornell.

"......................." My jaw was practically scraping the floor.

"Nice to meet you Jack"

He had the firm handshake of a powerful man

".............Nice to meet you Mr Cornell" I eventually managed to comprise a coherent sentence.

"I have been watching you closely for a couple of months now and I am mighty impressed with what you have achieved here."

"Thank you sir"

"The booking has been of a very high standard. A standard that has unfortunately been lacking in TCW as of late"

It was true. TCW had slipped in the ratings and SWF were now reigning supreme. I tried to defend the TCW product but found it hard to come up with any good reasons.

"Well, there is......ummmmm"

"Don't waste your breath kid. There is no need for flattery with me. Now I have been speaking with this man right here (pointing to Boss who was well on his way through a second glass of scotch.) and we have come to an agreement."

"What kind of agreement?"

A wry smile spread accross Cornell's face.

"I would like you come to TCW and take over the position of head booker."

This had to be a joke.

"Don't look so surprised. You are a very talented individual with a great mind for the business. The truth of the matter is that I can't be the owner, wrestler AND booker, it is simply too much work for one man. I think you could do great things in TCW. So, what do you think?"

What did I think? What did I think? I thought all my Birthdays and Christmases had come at the same time.

"I would be honoured to work for you and your company Mr Cornell."

"That's great. I will get all the paperwork in order and have them sent to this office by next Monday."

As Cornell left he shook my hand one more time and said, "Glad to have you on board."

I looked at my old boss and couldn't help but feel that I had turned my back on the very company that had given me my first chance as booker. He looked up at me before saying. "Don't worry kid. It would be selfish of me to keep you here when you have the potential to acheive so much more. We'll be fine." I shook his hand for the last time as an employee and went to leave when I heard, "And hey......if the worst comes to pass....you will always have a job here."

And so I left the little arena where I had made my home for the past 3 and a half years with a touch of sentimentality. They had provided me with a platform to show what I could do and now it was my time to fly the nest and enter the world. One thing was for sure though, I had plans for TCW, big plans.

In The Big Leagues

As I entered the office you could instantly feel the importance of where I was. Man, this place was like nothing I had ever seen in my wrestling career. For a start the smell was a hell of a lot better and the facilities were other worldly to me. I found myself just staring as the people in suits hustled and bustled past me paying no attention, and why should they? They didn't know who I was and honestly I started to feel a bit out of place.

"Mr Avatar. Mr Cornell will see you now."

I was ushered in to a grand office that overlooked the city below.

"Ah, Jack. Good to see you again. So, how does it feel to be a part of TCW."

"I am still in shock to be honest with you sir."

"Please, call me Tommy and don't worry, you will get used to it."

Cornell made himself comfortable in his king sized chair before continuing.

"Well first thing is first. Welcome to TCW. I have compiled all these notes for you to go over. Consider this your TCW encyclopaedia. In there we have the current roster, storylines and schedule. Any questions feel free to ask. But remember I am your boss as well as one of the wrestlers, so don't be afraid to speak your mind. After all, I am entrusting you with my company."

"Of course. I look forward to getting started."

"That is what I like to hear." he proclaimed with a beaming smile.

"Now unfortunately I have quite a busy schedule today and have to cut this meeting shorter than I planned. Now get cracking on that book and I will see you at work tomorrow, boss, haha"

I left the room and suddenly felt very strange. Everything had happened so quickly I didn't quite know if I was dreaming.

And so, here I am today. Head booker of the second biggest professional wrestling company in the world. It has been a whirlwind few months for me but I would have to wait to look back, meanwhile I had better get started on these notes. I have a long night ahead of me...

TCW's Encyclopaedia

Thought you would find this useful.

- Tommy Cornell

What I Expect

- TCW must not fall any lower than #2 in the promotional rankings

- TCW must not fall below national size at any point

- Wolf Hawkins must remain a high priority in your booking plans

- You cannot hire any worker over the age of 35

- Create new stars

- Take TCW back to the top

Hmmmm, seems reasonable enough. The last point may cause the most stress. SWF are really doing well at present.

The Connection aren't ready for a title shot yet.

Depends how you see this developing. Do you see the Syndicate growing larger again...or does this feud so the seeds for Hawkins vs Cornell? Still heels win by cheating or some kind sets up the feud.

Rocky Golden vs Genghis Rahn (Non Title)

Golden needs to be strong

The New Wave vs The L.A. Connection (Non Title)

LA Connection look like a good young tag team, but the champs win here

Edd Stone vs Giant Tana

Was tempted with Tana, but Stone holds a belt and could use a few wins.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling
Tuesday of Week 1, January 2010
The V.Thompson Arena (South West)
Attendance: 10,000

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new year in TCW. We have a stacked card for you tonight; I’m Jason Azaria alongside my broadcast partner Shawn Doakes.

And what a show it is going to be. The TCW World Heavyweight Champion will be in action later tonight in a non title match against Genghis Rahn. We also have The Syndicate squaring off with The Freedom Fighters and so much more.

Let’s not waste any more time and head to ringside to kick off with our first contest

Charlie Thatcher vs Benny Benson
A nice opening contest that saw a fair bit of heat. Thatcher often took advantage by bending the rules in his favour throughout, but Benson was relentless. A couple of clubbing back shots on the part of Thatcher led to a solid comeback by Benson culminating with the Shockwave From Next Year, allowing Benson to get the 1,2,3.

Rating: C

Following the match Troy Tornado came flying down the entrance ramp and entered the ring before laying Benson out with the Star Maker and finishing by cutting a quick promo.

Tornado: “You think that you can come into TCW and make a name for yourself by embarrassing me? Well I got some news for you boy. I am going to make you regret the day you signed that contract. I am gonna break you. Not just physically, but mentally. Until you realise that Troy Tornado is the true star in TCW. You want to prove that you are worth a damn in this business by standing up against me? Well son.....You are about to get blown away.”
Tornado leaves the beaten Benson lying in the ring.

Rating: C+

Well you know Tornado wasn’t going to take that defeat well, but this is just out of order. If he wanted revenge he should beat him in the centre of the ring in a rematch, not jumping him from behind.

Would you say that to Troy?

Are you kidding, the guy is clearly unstable!

Flying Jimmy Fox vs Sammy Bach
A rather short one sided contest that saw Bach impose his will on the overmatched Fox, before finally putting him away with the Adrenaline Shot. The fans thought this match was OK, but due to the length didn’t really have time to get emotionally involved.

Rating: C-

An impressive performance by Sammy Bach. He really took it to Fox and never really let him out of the starting block.

Did you expect anything less from this guy? Sammy is a great ring technician. Fox didn’t stand a chance.

Edd Stone vs Giant Tana
A strong display by Tana had many in attendance believing that he was going to defeat Stone. Using size to his advantage, Tana cut Stone off at every turn with powerful and varying slams. However, Stone used his cunning to avoid an avalanche in the corner and roll Tana up for the quick 1,2,3.

Rating: C

Well I certainly didn’t see that one coming. Tana seemed to have that one in hand.

Stone was simply too smart for that big lumbering dummy, haha. What a display of intelligence.

The New Wave vs The L.A. Connection
In a rather fast paced tag team contest that sometimes lacked direction, there were several near falls that should have had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately there was a lack of heat which severely handicapped this contest, which, truth be told was quite good. Due to miscommunication by The New Wave, Aaron Andrews was able to capitalise with a flying cross body that resulted in the 1,2,3. This should be considered quite an upset as The L.A. Connection are a new tag team. The shock was evident by both Scout and Guide’ expressions.

Rating: D-

What an upset. This has put the L.A Connection right in the mix for a tag team title shot.

Without a doubt partner. Great performance by Andrews and Fortune. They saw the opening and they took it.

Backstage
We see The New Wave head off to the showers after their match leaving their bags by their respective lockers. Seeing an opportunity to get under the champs skin, the L.A. Connection come in and walk off with the Tag Team Titles unbeknownst to the rightful owners.

Rating: C-

Rocky Golden vs Genghis Rahn
A back and forth contest that allowed both men to get in a fair amount of offense. However, Genghis Rahn looked off his game and the match subsequently suffered as a result. After a near fall by Rahn, Golden countered a suplex attempt into a Rocky Road for the pinfall victory.

Rating: D+

I am almost surprised that Keith didn’t make an appearance during this contest. He has been stalking the champ for a few weeks now.

If I know Keith he is biding his time. He is a veteran. He knows what he is doing.

Main Event
The Syndicate vs The Freedom Fighters
This was by far the best match of the night that really had the crowd going. Momentum shifted one way and then the next for the duration of the contest showing just how even these two teams are. At around about the 30 minute mark, Cornell got agitated that they hadn’t finished Johnson and Minnesota off and so he picked up a ringside chair. Seeing what was happening, Joey Minnesota did the exact same thing and what followed can only be described as a chair dual. The referee having lost control of the match declared the contest a draw. Cornell and Hawkins withdrew up the ramp whilst the Freedom Fighters dared them to return to the ring.

Rating: B-

I can definately see the logic behind the decision. If you are realy getting behind the Connection as a top team, then they realy needed a credible, clean win over the champs to establish themselves. Personally, I'm doing the exact same thing in my game with the Canadian Animals.

I didn't think you were going to pick the Connection as contenders because of the Face vs Face thing, but it looks like a heel turn is in the future of the LA Connection.

Enjoyable first show.:)

TCW Presents Total Wrestling
Tuesday Week 2, January 2010
Minnesota Coliseum (Mid West)
Attendance: 10,000

Hello everybody and welcome to TCW Presents Total Wrestling. A place where you can see the best wrestlers in the world compete to be the top of the pile and indeed that particular honour is on the line tonight as we will see the TCW World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Golden put his title on the line against Sam Keith. I’m Jason Azaria alongside my broadcast partner Shawn Doakes.

And am I pumped! This world championship match has the potential to be a classic. On one side you have the grizzled veteran Sam Keith, a man who has been a champion all over the world. America, Japan, Mexico, you name it, Keith has done it.

But we must not forget that Keith has never been TCW Heavyweight Champion

Not yet. Not yet

Rocky Golden on the other hand is only 26 years old and this youngster really upset the odds when he dethroned Cornell late last year for the title

It was luck. Everybody knows it. Keith will prove to the world that Rocky Golden is a fluke champion

Well that remains to be seen partner. But first we are going to kick off the show with a tag team contest. Rick Law and Charlie Thatcher against Koshiro Ino and an unnamed partner

I will be surprised if Ino even found anybody to team with. Who would want to go up against Law?

Rick Law’s music hits and he and Charlie Thatcher hit the ring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBeT4ptY9sY
Law looking supremely confident that he has the match-up in the bag.

Koshiro Ino’s music starts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQl1JbuYrLk and he makes his way towards the ramp before stopping and pointing back towards the entrance

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTNC9l46oR4 Danny Fonzarelli appears to the delight of the crowd in attendance. Fonzerelli and Ino shake hands before the match begins. (Law is not happy with Fonzerelli being in the match)

Koshiro Ino & Danny Fonzarelli vs Rick Law & Charlie Thatcher
A very entertaining opener that had a fair amount of heat. Thatcher did the majority of in-ring work for his team due to Law’s lack of will to fight Ino. Every time Ino would get the tag, Law would tag right back out. The end came when Ino charged across the ring and flung himself over the top rope to take Law out of his corner. Fonzarelli took this opportunity to hit the Retro Rocket for the 1,2,3. Law managing to escape before Ino could do too much damage leaving Thatcher without a second thought.

Rating: B-

Why the hell did Fonzarelli help Ino?

He obviously has a lot of respect for Ino. But what a great match to kick off the show with!

Ino takes the microphone and thanks Fonzarelli for teaming with him. Fonzarelli shakes his hand one more time before heading backstage. Ino begins to address the crowd.
Ino: (Heavy Japanese accent) Law. This isn’t over. I want to face you one on one. You betrayed me. I cannot forgive that...........You and me at Malice In Wonderland!

The crowd cheer loudly as Ino places the microphone on to the canvas. The cheers soon give way to yells of warning as Law has come back down the ramp and entered the ring. With his back to the entrance Ino fails to realise until it is too late. BANG! Law hits the Long Arm of The Law. Knocking Ino out cold. To add further insult to injury, Law places The Syndicate’s emblem over Ino’s prone body. The crowd loudly boo Law as he smiles and slowly makes his way backstage.

Rating: C-

What a despicable move by Law. This must bring back some bad memories for Ino. It was during a tag team match against The Syndicate when Rick Law betrayed him.

Ino should have kept his eye on the ball. If he is foolish enough to do that then he deserves what he gets

Bryan Vessey vs Freddy Huggins
Freddy Huggins entrance- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yjqb3AKndYc
Bryan Vessey entrance- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7VAZ2SCPEE

A nice solid match that saw Vessey inflict the majority of the offence on Huggins. However, it certainly wasn’t all one sided as Huggins used his speed to out-manoeuvre Vessey and hit him with several dropkicks and armdrags that had the veteran reeling. This didn’t last for long though as Vessey managed to catch the elusive Huggins and hit the Vessey Driver leading to the 1,2,3. Not even Laura Huggins could prevent her brother from losing this one.

Rating: C+

As the match ended Eddie Peak’s music hit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7VAZ2SCPEE
Vessey quickly prepared himself for Peak to come down to the ring.....but Peak didn’t appear.

Did you see Vessey’s reaction? He is clearly terrified of Peak

I’m not so sure about that. I believe Vessey knows exactly what Peak is like. Peak is mentally unstable and attacked Vessey 2 weeks ago.

Looks like Peak has gotten in Vessey’s head

I can’t argue with that...........But up next, the TCW All Action Championship is up for grabs as the champion Edd Stone competes against the challenger Benny Benson

TCW All Action Championship
Edd Stone (c) vs Benny Benson
Benny Benson entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUBwjyhRweQ
Edd Stone entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MLp7YNTznE

A fast paced match that unfortunately suffered due to Edd Stone’s lack of experience. There were a couple of memorable moments however, including Benson taking a fall from the top of the turnbuckle to the floor. Stone looked to have control when he avoided a corner body splash and rolled Benson up for the near fall. Stone almost got the same victory over Benson as he did the previous week against Tana. As peak set himself to deliver a brainbuster, Benson reversed the situation and dropped Stone with the Shockwave From Next Year. Benson made the cover as the referee counted the one........two........three. Benson picks up the victory and the TCW All Action Championship.

Rating: D+

The crowd loudly cheered Benson who has made one hell of an impact in TCW considering the short amount of time he has been here. Benson celebrated with the title held aloft before proudly strapping the gold around his waist.

Rating: C+

We have a new All Action Champion in TCW. Benny Benson has beaten Stone. Stone cannot believe it.

I can’t believe it either. Where was Troy Tornado? Why didn’t he jump Benson during the match?

Who knows, all I know is that there is a new champion in TCW and his name is Benny Benson

The L.A. Connection vs Texas Buffalo
Texas Buffalo entrance- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bph2gEpT2bQ
The L.A. Connection entrance- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWbXQQG9B6c&feature=related

The L.A Connection come to the ring with the TCW Tag titles that they stole from The New Wave last week. Surprisingly they still get cheered. They must have earned the fans respect when they beat The New Wave Last week. The match itself wasn;t that great, but not through the lack of trying on the part of the Connection. Texas Buffalo just seemed to be unwilling to put their all into the match. At about the 14 minute mark, Aaron Andrews landed his Flying Cross Body on American Buffalo which caused the big man to hit his head on the canvas hard. With Pete unable to help, the L.A. Connection managed to get the pinfall. As the bell sounded The New Wave came running down the entrance and into the ring. Fortunately Andrews and Fortune were able to escape the ring still in possession of the TCW Tag titles. The New Wave take the microphone.

Scout: You know something guys? You had better enjoy holding those titles as long as you can, because believe me when I say this. You will never get another chance to do it again. Not whilst Guide and I are still here.

Guide: You can run, but you can’t hide. Eventually The New Wave is gonna catch ya.

Rating: D+

Strong words from the tag team champions right there. No doubt the L.A Connection will have a response to that next week. But up next we have our World Heavyweight Championship match. Rocky Golden vs Sam Keith. Let’s head to ringside.

TCW World Heavyweight Championship
Rocky Golden (c) vs Sam Keith
Sam Keith entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrML6s1wNHk
Rocky Golden entrance- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Wc89btt6-0

In a 35 minute battle, both champion and challenger gave it their all to take home the victory. Sam Keith hit several chops to the chest of Golden causing his chest to turn beet red. Golden refused to be disheartened and hit Keith with everything he had. As the match passed the 30 minute mark both men looked exhausted. Keith went to his patented Neutron Plex but Golden realising he was in danger applied a small package........1......2......... Just as the referee’s hand hit the mat for a third time, Keith managed to pop his foot underneath the bottom rope. At least that is what it looked like to some. However, Rocky Golden was declared the winner via pinfall.

Rating: B-

What a travesty! Keith had his foot under the bottom rope. How could he have lost.

It didn’t look like his foot was under the rope. It was a really close call either way. Give the referee the benefit of the doubt. He was in a better position than any to see and he says Rocky got the pin.

This is a miscarriage of justice.

Well I’m afraid that is all we have time for tonight folks, but be sure to tune in next week for more hard hitting TCW action!

Backstage

Even the best laid plans can fall apart. Never have truer words been spoken. Having booked two shows so far for TCW, I felt that things were going well. No complaints backstage, even after I changed the locker room rules. That was a big decision for me to make. Should I create the atmosphere that I think will help this company the most or should I leave things as they were for fear of rocking the boat. In the end I decided to enforce new rules, but suplemented them with a few treats for the boys and girls such as an onsight masseuse and catering. Although I am starting to regret the latter. Do you know how much some of these guys eat? Small armies have nothing on Giant Tana. But on the whole I was settling in.........that was until the 2nd show went off the air.

After returning to the locker room, Rocky Golden found that one of the boys in the back had ribbed him by locking his stuff in a cupboard and hiding the key. Now Rocky took the joke well and played along until Joey Minnesota pushed it a little too far. A joke that was made cut a little too deep with Golden and after a few heated words Minnesota actually took a swing at the champ. Fortunately the rest of the locker seperated them before anybody got hurt.

It came to me to decide the fate of Minnesota.

"Sit yourself down Joey"

He sits himself down looking slightly concerned

"Joey. I can't tolerate this sort of behaviour. You went too far with the joke and you can't take shots at the guys or girls."

"I know. Things got a little out of hand."

"I thought you got all this out of your system."

"I have"

"So this is the last time I will hear anything like this happening again?"

"You have my word Jack."

"OK, get back to the locker room."

That may make next weeks main event slightly difficult. Lets hope things work out.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling
Tuesday of Week 3, January 2010
The Theatre of Dreams (North west)
Attendance: 10,000

Hello and welcome everyone to TCW Presents Total Wrestling. We have a night full of hard hitting wrestling action for you fans, so sit back and relax. I’m Jason Azaria alongside my broadcast partner Shawn Doakes.

I still can’t believe the travesty that occurred last week. Sam Keith was robbed of the TCW Heavyweight Championship.

Oh will you stop that already. Rocky Golden won fair and square. Only you seem to think that there was some foul play afoot.

I’m sure Keith believes exactly what I do. He deserves a rematch and I will be first to sign the petition for one.

I’m sure you would. But right now that is beside the point. We are about to kick tonight’s show off so let’s head down to ringside for our opening contest.

Joshua Taylor vs Brent Hill
Brent Hill entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkuOAY-S6OY
Joshua Taylor entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23Ivt-ikYIk

A nice opening contest that warmed the crowd up sufficiently. Taylor used technical wrestling to his advantage. Using various trips and takedowns, Taylor seemed to have control despite Hill’s counter wrestling. Hill did hit several jaw rattling forearms and uppercut but was unable to fully capitalise on any advantage he may have had. Taylor eventually earned the victory by hitting the Butterfly Driver (A variation of a Double Underarm DDT)

Rating: C+

Nice display of technical wrestling right there by both athletes.

Now normally I don’t agree with you, but on this occasion I do. A very enjoyable match to watch.

Coming up next we have a tag team rematch from last week and you have got to wonder what kind of mindset Ino is in.

Well if he is as easily distracted this week he will be on the losing end of the decision.

Rick Law & Charlie Thatcher vs Koshiro Ino & Danny Fonzarelli
Charlie Thatcher entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPBsFJfq6DE
Rick Law entrance – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBeT4ptY9sY
Danny Fonzarelli entrance – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTNC9l46oR4
Koshiro Ino entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQl1JbuYrLk

Rick Law struts to the ring very arrogantly. He took advantage of an unaware Ino last week and is very proud of having done so. Ino wastes no time in trying to get his hands on Law and jumps straight on him before the bell. The referee does manage to maintain some order and allows the match to start. A very evenly matched contest with neither team truly dominating. The end came when a distracted Ino was blasted with The Long Arm of The Law from behind, once again knocking him out cold. Law then fell into the cover for the 1,2,3.

Law grabs the microphone.

Law: You want to get another beating from me do ya?........Fine. You got it............I accept your challenge

He throws the mic at Ino’s body before heading back up the ramp

Rating: B-

Two weeks in a row. Haha. Man, Ino needs to pay attention to the matter at hand. Law has gotten the better of him time and time again.

But you have to think his luck is going to run out sometime soon. Perhaps his luck will run out at Malice In Wonderland.

I doubt it.

Eddie Peak vs Giant Tana
Eddie Peak entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYQQzw4-NSg
Giant Tana entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqz1ojIQTBk

A relatively short match up that lacked heat. Peak eventually pulled out the victory with The Peak of Perfection at around the 10 minute mark. After the match Eddie Peak looked around expecting to see Bryan Vessey. Nobody was there.

Rating: C

Good win by Peak there, but did you notice him look around nervously after the bell?

I think you are seeing things Azaria. Peak was just staring out at the crowd.

Well, we will have to agree to disagree on that one. But up next we will see a triple threat match between Vessey, Rahn and Bach.

Sammy Bach vs Bryan Vessey vs Genghis Rahn
Sammy Bach entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmfFmxJhtxU
Genghis Rahn entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZgguejILwM
Bryan Vessey entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7VAZ2SCPEE

An entertaining contest that saw almost non-stop hard hitting action by all three competitors. Bach evidently was hoping that Rahn would double team Vessey with him but Rahn wanted no part of any tactics. In fact Rahn almost appeared to be “teaming” with Vessey more than he was working with Bach. Vessey was momentarily incapacitated by a low blow from Bach. Having turned around, Bach was met with a vicious right hand that dropped Bach hard. Vessey used this moment to capitalise and push Rahn out of the ring before covering Bach for the pinfall victory. Rahn seemed to smile before he headed backstage. Maybe he was impressed with Vessey using intelligence to pick up the win. Vessey celebrated with the crowd as he was going up the ramp. As soon as he went through the curtains he was hit with a bat causing him to fall back through the curtains. Standing above him, Eddie Peak crashed the bat one more time over Vessey’s left arm which made a sickening thud. Vessey writhed in pain as Peak laughed sadistically

Rating: B-

That is how you get it done. Brilliant move by Peak!

Brilliant? Where I come from that is called a cheap shot.

Well it doesn’t matter what you call it. It worked. End of discussion

Benny Benson vs Troy Tornado
Troy Tornado entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI2COawqMJQ&feature=PlayList&p=450695C9BB0BFD85&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=1
Benny Benson entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUBwjyhRweQ

A very entertaining back and forth bout that saw Benson begin to get the upper hand at around about the 15 minute mark. After driving the boots into Tornado in the corner the referee had to pull Benson away to force the break. Meanwhile Tornado rolled to the outside and picked up a chair. As Benson went to grab Tornado to pull him back into the ring, Tornado cracked the chair into the skull of his opponent. Given no other choice the ref was forced to award the bout a DQ victory for Benson. Tornado chased the referee out of the ring before picking up a microphone.

Tornado: I have had a lot of people asking me the question. Why, why Troy did you not interfere last week? Why did you allow Benson to win the All Action title. (long pause) Well the answer is very simple. I want nothing more than to wipe you off the face of professional wrestling Benson. But I want more than that. Not only do I want to tear you limb from limb. I want to break you mentally as I have said before. I let you win the title because I want to take that championship from your cold bloody hands. When I face you at Malice In Wonderland I am going to take your health....... your livelihood........ and your belt.

Tornado spits on Benson before exiting the ring.

I knew Tornado had a plan for Benson

Well, it looks like we have another match set for Malice In Wonderland. Benson vs Tornado for the TCW All Action Championship. What a brawl that will be.

The New Wave vs The Tag Team Specialists
The Tag Team Specialists entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEjmdR50wX4
The New Wave entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdOFrkrMzBQ

The New Wave came to the ring still without their tag team titles. As the match began, the L.A. Connection made their way to the top of the entrance. Scout and Guide fail to realise this and continue on with their match which ends when The Wave of Mutilation incapacitates Robert Oxford for the pin. After the bell the New Wave chase the L.A. Connection out of the arena.

Rating: C

Well now it is time for the main event of the evening. The Syndicate and Sam Keith go up against The Freedom Fighters and the TCW Champion Rocky Golden.

Hopefully Sam Keith will make Rocky pay for cheating last week

The Freedom Fighters entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt_ro2aerQg
Rocky Golden entrance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Wc89btt6-0

A great main event contest that saw all parties give it their best. 33 minutes of give and take left the crowd standing cheering for Golden and the Freedom Fighters to beat their opponents. Golden had Hawkins reeling after several hard kicks and palm strikes and looked to finish the match there and then, but a referee distraction by Sam Keith allowed Wolf to hit a low blow before landing the Full Moon Rising for the one....two.....three. The Syndicate had stolen one.

Rating: B

I knew Keith wouldn’t let Golden get away without some form of retribution

And I am just being told that we will see Rocky Golden defend his TCW Heavyweight title against Sam Keith at Malice In Wonderland.

Justice is served. Rocky will be beaten and beaten badly.

What an amazing main event we have just witnessed. On behalf of Shawn Doakes and myself, goodnight folks, we will see you all next Tuesday!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Unfortuantely you got 3 matches wrong and didn't get the match of the night. I will double check though to make sure. Here's hoping someone gets a full card right. In fact, I will award a bonus round point if anybody is able to guess the entire card from top to bottom correctly.

On a side note: Knowing how much you mark for Wolf Hawkins, I'm sure you approve of how the main event ended.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling
Tuesday, Week 4, January 2010
Minnesota Collesium (Mid West)
Attendance: 10,000 SELL OUT

Hello everybody and welcome once again to TCW Presents Total Wrestling. I’m Jason Azaria alongside my broadcast partner Shawn Doakes. We are only five days away from one of our biggest PPVs of the year, Malice In Wonderland and the card has been finding its shape over the last few weeks.

I am psyched for this PPV. We have such a packed card I don’t know if the arena will be able to contain the excitement.

Yes indeed. We will discuss more about the PPV later, but now we will kick off the show with our opening contest.

Charlie Thatcher vs Danny Fonzarelli
A solid opening contest that had back and forth action throughout. The end came when Fonzarelli hit the Retro Rocket after Thatcher took too long to hit a powerbomb. Fonzarelli seems to be hitting his stride in the ring as of late.

Rating: C+

Good performance by Fonzarelli. A solid win right there

It wasn’t that bad, I just think that Fonzarelli is a fool

What makes you say that?

Just look how he is dressed. He does realise it is not the 60’s right?

I’m sure he does Shawn. It is just his preference of attire. Well up next we will see the TCW Tag Team champions take on the Machines. Let’s head to ringside.

The New Wave vs The Machines
Once again the New Wave walk to the ring without their titles. Surely this must be playing on their minds. This was a very entertaining contest that had the crowd really getting into the action. High impact moves including suplexes and powerslams, nicely mixed with some technical wrestling saw momentum go in one direction then the other. The ending came when Brent Hill found himself in the wrong part of the ring with his partner incapacitated on the outside. After hitting the Wave of Mutilation, Guide falls into the cover for the one, two, three.

Rating: B-

Great match right there. That is what tag team wrestling is all about. The TCW champions win once again.

But what kind of champions are they? They can’t even hold on to the titles. Now you know that I have no love for The L.A. Connection, but they have made a statement. They may be full of themselves but they still got the attention of the New Wave.

Speaking of the L.A. Connection, they are up next against Texas Buffalo.

The L.A. Connections vs Texas Buffalo
A fairly solid match that never really took off due to the lack of selling on the part of Texas Buffalo. The end came when Aaron Andrews hit the Flying Cross Body on Texas Pete for the pinfall victory. Texas Buffalo don’t look happy to say the least.

Rating: C

The L.A. Connection hold the stolen tag titles in the air when the New Wave hit the ring. Caught by surprise, Fortune and Andrews are laid out by Scout and Guide before they are able to defend themselves. The New Wave pick the belts off the canvas and secure them around their waists.

You guys want to hold these titles? Well first you have got to earn them. Scout and I have worked too damn hard to get where we are, only to have two jumped up jackasses steal them away from us whilst are backs are turned.

And at Malice In Wonderland you will see exactly what it takes to be TCW Tag Team Champions. And we got news for you boys.......you just haven’t got it in you.

(Fortune picks up a mic)
You want to know why we took those titles from you? To light a fire under your asses. We have seen you going through the motions these last few months just competing without any passion.

We respect you two and what you have accomplished here in this business and when we have our match at Malice In Wonderland, we want to see the Guide and Scout of old. Not the two deflated guys we have seen of late. If stealing those title belts was what it took to get this sort of reaction out of you then that is what we had to do. You can throw whatever insults you like at us. How we don’t have it in us. But come this Sunday you will know exactly what we are willing to do to win those belts right there.

The L.A Connection leave ringside

Rating: D-

Flying Jimmy Fox vs Rick Law
Basically a one-sided beat down that was mercifully ended at the 8 minute mark when Law hit the Long Arm of The Law allowing him to get the 1,2,3. Law dismissingly kicks Fox out of the ring before continuing his celebration.

Rating: C-

Koshiro Ino has had enough of Law and runs into the ring and begins to beat the holy hell out of his adversary. Before too much damage is inflicted TCW officials separate the two, allowing Law to make a hasty retreat.

Rating: C+

Joshua Taylor vs Sammy Bach
A very well received contest that saw both athletes give it their all. Unfortunately Sammy Bach appeared to pick up a slight injury as he was mildly limping towards the end. After 20 minutes of solid action the time limit expired resulting in a draw. Although both wrestlers looked like they wanted more.

Rating: B-

Brian Vessey & Genghis Rahn vs Eddie Peak & Troy Tornado
Throughout the duration of the match, both Peak and Tornado relentlessly targeted Vessey’s arm. Hitting wrist clutch body slams, punishing knees and crippling short arm scissors. All the while Vessey couldn’t make it to his corner for the tag. Having avoided an elbow drop, Vessey finally made it to Rahn for the tag. Instead of tagging in, Rahn simply stood off the apron and headed backstage all the while smiling. Vessey left alone was mercilessly beaten down by Peak to the point where Peak and Tornado were disqualified for not adhearing to the referee’s rules.

Rocky Golden vs Tommy Cornell
A great contest to end the show. Cornell wanting to prove that he is still the main force in TCW unloaded everything he could to try and defeat the TCW World champion. Golden, likewise tried to prove that the win over Cornell was no fluke. After 30 or so minutes of great action, Golden countered a roll up into one of his own and managed to hold on long enough to earn the pinfall victory. An irate Cornell headed backstage as Rocky took the mic to address the crowd. However he was quickly stopped by the music of Sam Keith.

Congratulations Rocky. You have once again proved that you can only win by either cheating or stealing a quick roll up. What kind of champion are you? A champion should dominate his opponents. A champion should be feared by everybody in the locker room. A champion should be....well.....like me. You know as well as I do that you did not win last time we faced off. I will take the TCW title from you this Sunday and there isn’t a thing th..

I’m gonna have to stop you right there Keith. You see I knew you would come down here wearing your big boy pants declaring that you are better than I am. That you would tell these people how I didn’t beat you. How you would declare I was not worthy of holding this title. Well I have a solution to your problems. You say you got your foot under the bottom rope when we fought right?

That is exactly what I did.

Well how about we face in a match where rope breaks count for nothing. Count outs don’t exist and anything goes? How about we go one on one in a steel cage?

(looking flustered) You want a cage match?..........You got it!

Rocky Golden looks pleased with this response

Rating: B

Rocky Golden vs Sam Keith for the TCW World Heavyweight Title.......in a cage match! This is going to be epic.

Finally we will see Sam Keith win the big one. What a great contest to headline our PPV

We will see you guys this Sunday for Malice in Wonderland. On behalf of Shawn Doakes and myself, goodnight everybody, and thanks for watching.

The show goes off the air after showing a video highlighting the upcoming confrontation between Golden and Keith

Hope you guys enjoyed the show. The reason for the delay in the post was three fold. Firstly I wanted to re-evaluate how I was going to present the write-ups. (I will include a current roster page on the first page of the dynasty which will include the current entrance themes) Secondly I wanted to play some of the game to see where I could take it and to ensure that the diary won't be one of those fly-by-night ones. (It isn't) Thirdly I have work that I had to get finished first. Anyway, long story short I am happy with the diary and hope that you guys are as well. Any feeback is welcomed. Don't get me wrong. I respect you as an athlete, but I can't let something like this slide. You failed the drug test. I have to suspend you for 28 days.

I don't see what the big deal is

You don't see what the big deal is?

No

Steroids are not acceptable in this business and you know that as well as anybody. The news hasn't hit the press yet, so thankfully we still have some wiggle room. We will say that the arm injury you received last week will keep you out of action for the next month. But if this ever happens again.......... I am not going to cover up for you. You will have to face the public yourself.

Whatever. See you next month.

And with that Bryan Vessey managed to disrupt my booking plans and the upcoming PPV. What gets me is that he doesn't even seem to care. Now I need to find a replacement for the match with Eddie Peak.

On top of this, Sammy Bach is unable to compete at the PPV and I will now also have to find someone else to compete for the TCW International title. Here's hoping that the show won't suffer as a result. The rest of the card is solid and I still have enough ideas for the forseeable future. But as I have already seen, things don't always go according to plan.

Thursday Week 4, January 2010

Well it finally looks like I have come up with suitable replacements for the PPV. Now all I can do is hope that nothing else goes pear shaped. I am happy with the workers as they all seem to be pulling their weight (bar the odd exception). The storylines are taking shape and we have once again begun to turn a profit. Tommy seems willing to listen to ideas, which is always helpful. No matter how good my ideas are, if he doesn't agree with them, they don't go ahead.

One thing I haven't looked at into detail yet is the independants. A lot of promising, young talent can be found in the country and it would be a shame for them to be wasted (I have already had a contract offer accepted, but I won't reveal until the PPV). I have also heard rumblings that SWF are looking to expand their roster and I can't afford them to get first call on who they want. I have been told that James Prudence has already agreed a deal to send him to developmental...........developmental. That's not such a bad idea. Maybe I should look into forging a parental relationship with an indy fed. Anyway these things will have to wait. First I have to make sure Malice In Wonderland is a success.

TCW Malice In Wonderland
Sunday, Week 4, January 2010
Nevada State Armoury (South West)
Attendance: 30,000 (SELL OUT!)
PPV Buy Rate: 1.16

PPV Theme Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af849QtJTpg

Azaria: Hello everybody and welcome to the TCW extravaganza known as Malice In Wonderland. We are live in the Nevada State Armoury in front of a raucous crowd of 30,000. Alongside me tonight is my broadcast partner Shawn Doakes and Shawn, are you ready for tonight.

Doakes: Absolutely Jason, I have waited for a long time to see Sam Keith win the World title and tonight he has the opportunity to do so in a steel cage.

Azaria: And you have got to wonder what kind of mindset both the champion and the challenger are in coming into this match.

Doakes: Not only that, we also have the World Tag Team titles, the International title and the All-Action title on the line as well.

Azaria: First up we have a tag team contest between the Tag Team Specialists and Harry Allen and.....well, an unamed partner. I guess there is only one way to find out......let's head down to ringside.

The Tag Team Specialist vs Harry Allen & Mario Heroic

A good debut for Mario Heroic as he and harry Allen took it to the veteran tag team. Multiple high impact offensive moves by Heroic brought the crowd into the action with little fuss. The action took a slower pace as Oxford and Bryant wore down the young high fliers. Unfortuantely for the Specialists, any success was only fleeting as Allen and Heroic took control before Heroic ended the contest with a Hero Attack on Robert Oxford. After the 1,2,3, Mario Heroic had successfully introduced himself to the TCW audience.

Rating: 65

Azaria: Mario Heroic was the mystery man.........An impressive display by Heroic. Great debut!

Doakes: Oxford and Bryant were at a disadvantage. They didn't know who they were going to be facing.

TCW World Tag Team Championship: The New Wave (c) vs The L.A. Connection

An even contest that saw all four men compete with gusto. Guide and Scout used their advantage in tag team experience to their advantage by making quick tags and cutting the ring in half. As the match wore on, Andrews and Fortune started to build momentum, dropkicks and flying forearms had Scout reeling and it looked as though The L.A. Connection would pick up the victory and the titles. However, the inexperience of Andrews showed and he succumbed to the Wave of Mutilation following a missed flying cross body. The New Wave retain

Rating: 74

Azaria: And the New Wave retain the TCW World Tag Team titles in a great match. Even though they loast, you have to give credit to the L.A. Connection who gave it their all.

Doakes: I wonder if they now regret riling the champions up, because Guide and Scout brought the thunder and it was enough to defeat the challengers.

TCW All-Action Championship: Benny Benson (c) vs Troy Tornado

An enjoyable match that saw Benson withstand one hell of an onslaught from Tornado who was still angry about Benson upsetting him a few weeks prior. Tornado seemed to be targeting the neck of the champion and hit several swinging neckbreakers with most of them leading to near falls. Even with a seemingly injured neck, Benson survived and brought some of his own offense to the table. Following a standing enziguri, Benson managed to catch Tornado in a school boy for the pinfall victory.

Rating: 74

Doakes: Benson steals one! Tornado dominated the match!

Azaria: But he did not pick up the win. Benson outsmarted his opponent and has made his first defense of the All-Action title.

TCW International Championship: Joshua Taylor (c) vs Genghis Rahn

Rahn brought the heat right off the bat by jumping Taylor before the bell rang. Clubbing rights and lefts had Taylor looking beaten before the match had really gotten under way. After a few minutes of dominance by Rahn, Taylor began to fight back and pick up the pace. Taylor grounded Rahn to negate the powerful striking of the challenger. Taylor finally brought an end to the bout with a butterfly lock suplex with a pinning bridge. Not the most enjoyable contest due to the inability of Rahn to sell.

Rating: 56

(Eddie Peak enters the ring and grabs a microphone)

Peak: Well it appears that Vessey in unable to compete against me tonight because of that savage beating he received earlier this week. This is what we have been told to believe, but I ain't buying it. Vessey is nothing more than a coward and that is the real reason why he is not here tonight. So it now looks like I have a clearing in my schedule. Anyone in the back who wants to come down to the ring and face me right now can be my guest. Lets go!

(After a delay for a moment or two, Danny Fonzarelli's music hits and he makes his way to the ring.)

Eddie Peak vs Danny Fonzarelli

A hard hitting match that resembled more of a bar room brawl than a wrestling contest, but the crowd seemed to love it none the less. Peak seemed to be surprised at the aggression shown from Fonzarelli who is normally a mild mannered, laid back character. The end came after Peak missed with an illegal chair shot allowing Fonzarelli to hit the Retro Rocket for the pin.

Rating: 75

Azaria: It looks like Peak is going to explode with rage. He lost an open challenge to Fonzarelli.

Doakes: I don't think this is over yet by a long shot. Peak doesn't take defeats like this easily and I reckon Fonzarelli has just signed his own death warrant. Why would you want to get a guy like Peak mad?

Koshiro Ino vs Rick Law

A heated match that the crowd absolutely lapped up. Near fall after near fall by both competitors worked the crowd into a bit of a frenzy. Law eventually snapped at the fact that he seemingly couldn't put Ino away and poked him in the eye behind the referee's back. A quick roll up later coupled with a handful of tights and Law steals a victory.

Rating: 80

Azaria: You want to talk about daylight robberies, you have just seen one right there folks. Law cheated to win.

Doakes: I don't know what you are talking about Azaria, Ino's shoulders were on the mat for 3 seconds. There is no disputing that.

Azaria: What about the eye-poke, or the handful of tights? Law should have been disqualified not be declared the victor.

Doakes: Nobody likes a sore loser Azaria............

The Syndicate vs The Freedom Fighters

A good contest that struggled slightly towards the end due to the stamina (or lack there of) on the part of Johnson. The match was extremely even and there were several occasions when either team could have won. However eventually the cunning of Cornell prevailed and he hit the Guilt Trip on an exhausted RDJ for the pinfall. Cornell showed no class in victory as he grabbed the mic and yelled "The Syndicate is for Life!", before spitting on his downed adversary.

Rating: 79

Azaria: Well now ladies and gentleman it is time for the main event. Rocky Golden puts his TCW WOrld Title on the line against Sam Keith inside an unforgiving steel cage.

Doakes: Enjoy it while you can Azaria, because after tonight we will have a new World Heavyweight champion.

TCW World Heavyweight Championship- Steel Cage: Rocky Golden (c) vs Sam Keith

A good match that saw a great deal of brutality. Keith had a cut on his forehead and Rocky had a laceration on his left arm, but that didn't stop either man continuing the match in an attempt to take home the greatest prize of them all. After 30 minutes of action Keith and Rocky found themselves stradled accross the top of the cage slugging it out.

Azaria: This is a dangerous place to be. One slip, one hiccup and somebodies career could be over.

Doakes: C'mon Keith just drop, you have the match won. C'MON!

Azaria: I do not like this situation one bit. Somebody is going to get hurt!

Both champion and challenger swung away. Connecting with one hard shot after another. BANG! A crushing right hand caused Keith to fall back into the ring where he crotched himself over the top rope. Golden began his descent to the floor.

Azaria: He has done it! Rocky Golden has defeated Sam Keith! What a main event. What a PPV.

Doakes: Keith was so close to victory........he just didn't have anything left in the tank.

Azaria: Thank you folks for joining us at Malice In Wonderland 2010 on PPV. We will see you on Tuesday night for TCW Presents Total Wrestling. Goodnight!

The PPV comes to a close with the image of a battered Rocky Golden holding the TCW World Heavyweight Championship high above his head, whilst Keith lies in the ring covered in his own blood.

Booker's Notes

And so it seemed that Malice In Wonderland was a relative success all things considered. A couple of late changes aside, the guys worked their socks off. Mario Heroic also made an impact with his debut. He is a solid worker and will make a great addition to the TCW roster. Cornell has kept his distance from the booking as of late. He said that unless something strikes him as being completely out of place, he will leave me to it. (Apparently I have just finished my "probation period").

I still can't quite grasp Vessey's response when confronted with his steroid use. I don't think he has or can learn a lesson with regards to this. I will have to wait to see how things play out upon his return.

Anyway onwards and upwards. As we speak I am finalising the contract of another promising young wrestler (it still strikes me as amusing when referring to wrstlers as being "young" who in truth are the same age as myself). Not 100% sure what direction I am going to take with him, but I look forward to him joining the company.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling
Tuesday, Week 1, February 2010
The V. Thompson Arena
Attendance: 10,000 (Sell Out!)

Azaria: Hello everybody and welcome once again to TCW Presents Total Wrestling. I’m Jason Azaria and alongside me is my broadcast partner, Shawn Doakes. Shawn what a PPV Malice In Wonderland was.

Doakes: I have to agree with you Azaria, it was a great night of TCW action. Even though Sam Keith didn’t win the TCW World Heavyweight championship, I still went home a happy man.

Azaria: That’s right. Rocky Golden managed to successfully defend his Heavyweight title inside a steel cage against Sam Keith in what was a truly bloody battle.

Doakes: Rocky Golden’s stock has just gone up in my book. Beating Keith in a regular match is one thing, but to beat the legend that is Sam Keith inside a cage is something special.

Azaria: We also saw The Syndicate defeat The Freedom Fighters in a heated affair, but I’m sure that this war is not over yet.

Doakes: No, not by a long shot. Minnesota and RDJ may be many things, but quitters they are not.

Azaria: Now we mustn’t forget the Rick Law/Koshihiro Ino ongoing rivalry. Law managed to sneak a win this past Sunday, but you have to think that Ino will not just roll over and die.

Doakes: For sure, Ino has been through a lot over the past few months, but he still hasn’t managed to settle the score with Law. And quite frankly it is getting to the stage where I think he will never be able to beat his adversary. There are only so many times you can try and fail before it affects you psychologically and I think Ino has passed that point.

Azaria: You may be right partner, but now it is time for our opening contest, so let us head to ringside.

(Dark match) Freddy Huggins vs Clark Alexander

A really entertaining match that saw Huggins deal out most of the punishment, although that isn’t to say that Alexander didn’t have his chances. In fact it took Huggins to hang on to the tights during a school boy to earn the victory. As expected, Huggins milked his win for all it was worth.

Rating: 73

Edd Stone vs Flying Jimmy Fox

It would be fair to say that this match did not go down particularly well with the crowd. Neither man are over with the fans and subsequently the crowd were emotionless. To be fair to the competitors involved they put on a decent match, but alas this was not enough to save the overall experience. The end came when Stone hit a brutal tiger bomb on Fox which led to the pinfall victory.

Rating: 19

John Anderson vs Mario Heroic

A match that had quite a bit of heat due to the surprising TCW debut and victory of Heroic at Malice In Wonderland. Anderson being the grizzled veteran that he is tore into the youngster with relentless forearms. Heroic was able to withstand the punishment and amount some offense of his own. Hurricanranas, and head scissor takedowns dramatically upped the pace of the match. The end came when Heroic took flight from the top rope and hit the Hero attack for the 1,2,3.

Rating:65

After the match finished, Brent Hill ran into the ring and alongside John Anderson began to systematically beat the holy hell out of Mario Heroic. The crowd jeered The Machines loudly who took the time to sarcastically pose for the crowd before continuing their assault. Just when things looked hopeless for Mario Heroic, music began to play through the arena speakers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjZ2Qmfb_yY

A man wearing a large balaclava flew down the entrance ramp and cleared the ring of The Machines with a series of brutal kicks, one of which looked like it knocked Brent Hill out as it crashed into the side of his temple. As The Machines made their way back up the ramp the unknown Good Samaritan helped Heroic to his feet. He then removed the balaclava to reveal himself as being Frankie Perez.

Rating: 24

Azaria: “P-Dawg” Frankie Perez is a part of TCW?

Doakes: It sure looks that way Azaria. I don’t think anybody is happier than Mario Heroic right now. He was getting his ass handed to him. If it were not for Perez, who knows what damage The Machines would have done!

The New Wave vs Texas Buffalo

The crowd enjoyed the team work of the TCW Tag Team champions, Scout and Guide who flowed as smooth as they ever had. Unfortunately Texas Buffalo really hampered this match and for all the good the New Wave did, Texas Buffalo counteracted with negativity. The match came to an end when The New Wave hit the Wave of Mutilation on Texas Pete which allowed Scout to make the cover for the pinfall victory.

Rating: 64

TCW International Championship: Joshua Taylor (c) vs Rick Law

A fairly entertaining championship contest that saw the crowd loudly cheer Joshua Taylor throughout. Law continually looked for methods to cheat but for the most part was cut off at the pass. The end saw a distraction by Ino allow Taylor to nail the Butterfly Suplex on Law for the pin.

Rating: 62

Azaria: Ino has just potentially cost Law the TCW International title!

Doakes: And it doesn’t look like Ino has finished just yet!

After the match had ended, Ino entered the ring and began to bounce Law’s head of the canvas like it was a basketball. After the short scramble that followed, law managed to escape the ring and head backstage. Ino, still fuming in the ring, yelled as Law looked more than a little rattled.

Benny Benson vs Sam Keith

After a relatively poor showing on the part of Benson (although Keith didn’t perform much better) Troy Tornado took advantage of a downed referee to help Keith pick up the victory. The referee coming back around counted Benson’s shoulders to the mat for the three count. After Keith had left the ring, Benson gathered his faculties and realised what had just occurred.

Rating: 53

Benson: TORNADO! I am sick and tired of this crap. You continue to jump me from behind and then run away. We need to end this thing once and for all! Next week, you and me, one on one. No excuses, no whining, NOTHING! After next week this feud is over!

Benson slams the mic viciously to the floor before exiting the ring. Seething all the while.

Rating: 60

Azaria: It looks like Benson has just about had enough

Doakes: But he has played right into the hands of Tornado. This is exactly what he wanted.

Azaria: You may be right. But I wouldn’t want to be in Troy’s shoes when Benson gets him in the ring.

Doakes: We will have to wait until next week to discover the outcome. Speaking of rivalries, now is the time for our main event as Joey Minnesota takes on Tommy Cornell.

Tommy Cornell vs Joey Minnesota

These two athletes put on a very entertaining contest to end the show with. Both provided moments that had the crowd on the edge of their seats and this contest turned out to be the diamond in a rather poor show. Cornell having the upper hand went to hit the guilt trip, only for it to be reversed into a small cradle. Unable to escape, Joey Minnesota picked up the victory. As Minnesota left the ring celebrating, Cornell sat in the ring looking dumbfounded. It is not often that Cornell loses in one on one competition and this has to hurt the momentum of The Syndicate.

Rating: 73

Doakes: Did we just see Cornell lose? Wow. Big win for young Joey Minnesota

Azaria: This is exactly what The Freedom Fighters needed in their quest to liquidate the Syndicate.

Doakes: Cornell will not be happy with this. Not happy at all.

Azaria: Well unfortunately that is all we have time for tonight folks. On behalf of Shawn Doakes and myself, goodnight everybody. We will see you next week as TCW Presents Total Wrestling.

Inside Cornell's Office

"Sit down Jack"

I sat down tentatively. I always seem to be preparing myself for the worst, but I guess that is the nature of the beast.

"So as you know you have been working here for just over one month now and it is time for your employee evaluation"

Flash backs of 6 months ago at my old stopping ground shot through my mind almost as quickly as they had entered

"I am not going to sugar coat my words. I wasn't best pleased with Malice In Wonderland. Now whether that was down to booking decisions, performances on the night or a combination of the two, I am still uncertain."

Wait........booking decisions??? I was following the storylines that he had given me in the handbook when I had started out! But the mighty Tommy Cornell can never be wrong I guess.....oh wait.......he is my boss.....I should probably just keep my mouth shut and nod.

"Personally I expect an improvement this month. Anything less and your ass will be out of the door quicker than a fat kid chasing an ice cream van"

He was right. He wasn't beating around the bush

"I will mark January down as a learning experience for you and will wipe the slate clean. Go out there and prove that I didn't make a mistake hiring you. Now........get back to work."

As I left the office I couldn't help but feel a little relieved. Although I hadn't expected to get my ass handed to me, I suppose things could of been a lot worse. Now......just need to find somewhere to take out my frustration.
