If you are using Vista or Windows 7, please be aware that you MUST be running the game as an administrator. Please see the Technical Support forum FAQ if you are not sure or do not know how to achieve this.
This is extremely important. Lots of people are still ignoring this requirement, and as a result are losing data and getting errors. It only takes a few seconds to do and will protect you in the long run.
