Last night at the Royal Rumble we saw only one title change in a match that lasted less than a minute, this was of course the Women's championship match with Mick James becoming the new title holder. The Miz defended his title against MVP in a title match that was made on the night by the man in charge Theodore Long. It looked like there was a little sign of friction between the members of Legacy with both DiBiase and Rhodes telling leader Randy Orton bad things about each other, things got a lot worse for Legacy as Rhodes was caught trying to help Orton with this only giving the ref one option and that was the award the win to Sheamus via DQ. The World Heavyweight title match saw little Rey Mysterio bring the fight to the dead man with him even making him bleed from the nose. Rey looked like he had it won when he delivered two 619s in a row to the champ but once he leap of the ropes Taker caught him in mid air and gave him his Last Ride for the one, two and three to retain his title.
The Royal Rumble match itself was very exciting as we saw superstars like CM Punk clearing the ring of superstars as he kept talking to the fans and tried to convert them to the Straightedge Society. Then we even saw what could have been the end of DX as Shawn Michaels tried to keep his Wrestlemania rematch against the Undertaker alive by super kicking his best friend right in the jaw to send him to the outside. The most talked about part of the Rumble was when Edge shock the world and returned from injury quicker than everybody expected, he cleaned house sending spears to each man that was in the ring. The final three came down to Batista, John Cena and Edge himself, they fought and it was Batista who fell at the first hurdle leaving it with Edge and Cena in the final two. Both men gave it all they had but once the dust settled it was the returning superstar that was going to make it a Rated R Wrestlemania.

It looks like Vince McMahon has brought his family together once again as Shane McMahon is now back with the WWE. Vince looked to get his son back into the business and hopefully leave it to either his son or daughter as he looks to settle down very soon. Many thought Shane was gone from the WWE for good but it looks like his father twisted his arm as Shane will now take control of being the head booker of the company. He has control of most things to do with the company and he is said to be looking into making some big changes sooner rather than later with the first thing he is looking at is cutting down the pay per view list because he doesn't think the biggest promotion in the world needs to be selling odd random event to fans who would rather have a build up to it.
With the company being one pay per view before the big one that is Wrestlemania Shane will look to make quick but effective changes starting from next week. Vince has said that he will continue to work the first week after the Rumble just as a starting point for his son and because there are already points put in place that are to late to change now.
