Is there a universe that has today's wrestlers in it? I found the DOTT which is very well done. Reminded me of me teenage years. Thanks in advance.

Yes. RaveX or T-Zone. Both are current real life data Mods.

A note on RaveX and T-Zone though, Kelly. In the sets for last year's game and going back into the later stages of Adam's hobbyist work, I found both to be a good bit over-inflated. They both do incredible amounts of work and are real boons to the community. But their updates haven't been my cup of tea in the past. So what I ended up doing with last year's game was downloading RaveX and T-Zone for things like gimmicks and match types that seemed like they could be useful and and importing those over into DOTT. Can't speak for this year's sets from them yet. So that may have changed. Just know that your best bet for an ideal scenario may be mixing and matching elements to taste.

Excellent advice, cappy.

Keep in mind, also, that RaveX has a number of errors upon loading. I was trying to do a statistical analysis of the available scenarios, compared to that of the CornellVerse. Alas, I couldn't even start the latest RaveX update.

I did complete T-Zone, DOTT, and the CornellVerse, though. :)

And what were your findings out of interest D Boon ?

Not sure if anyone else is interested in such mindless things, but I made a minor statistical comparison of two scenarios available with that of the CornellVerse. I found the initial breakdowns pretty interesting, even though breaking the stats down further (starting with B rated workers, for example) would have given a clearer picture.

I really wanted to rate Rave-X, as it is the granddaddy of all TEW scenarios. As you'll see, though, it didn't make the cut.

Upon examination, both DOTT and T-Zone are comparable to the Cornellverse data.

* T-Zone, if you can shoulder through the load times, seems to be more in-line with Adam's original data, as far as the gameworld layout (Consistancy and Look stats, withstanding). The only bad thing about it, at least from an 'on paper' standpoint, is the seemingly huge amount of workers that are talentless. Over 3000 workers with only 3% of them capable of becoming superstars seems really low. Still, people might welcome that challenge of no matter how well booked, a worker will always be a bum. :)

* DOTT seems to be somewhat loaded with talented workers, as far as the Looks, Charisma, and Psychology of the top tier talent. On the other hand, that seems to be balanced out by the lack of super popular workers (especially in the U.S.) and the potential superstars of the gameworld (10.7% of the workers are rated A in Superstar Quality). The amount of super charismatic workers is somewhat staggering, although, when paring down the retired workers, managers, valets, and announcers, the numbers aren't that horrible (9% compared to the 4% in the CornellVerse).

* Each scenario listed seems to have their quirks. The CornellVerse seems to snub the U.K., DOTT seems to snub the high fliers, and T-Zone seems to have an overabundance of crap workers (no offense - I'm just going by the numbers).

* Each have their drawbacks and advantages. T-Zone and DOTT would seem to set up a more challenging gameplay than that of the CornellVerse - each for different reasons. DOTT has the advantage of loading up as quickly as the original data. It's main drawback, imo, is that it is a square peg in a round hole. Trying to fit a historical scenario into a modern mindset takes a heap of imagination. T-Zone has the advantage of a more 'realistic' modern day experience.

As oddly fanatical as you may have come across in that post :D it's interesting to know the stats and your opinions are highly valued. Cheers.

I was hoping to give scenario makers the CornellVerse stats to base their work off of, actually. You hear a lot of people complaining about the over inflated stats of 'redundant real world scenarios' and found that wasn't really the case in at least two of them.

Not at all, Rob! If anything, I agree with both observations and was poking fun at myself. Besides calls for burning you at the stake, calling you a heathen seemed to be the best thing a fanatic could muster. :)
