That makes sense, actually. The first Earth-Aligned role we've seen has been a secret agent, perhaps the Earth-Aligned folks are the less incompetant, more knowledgable humans.

I know this is a joke post but I will answer. At the time I said it I meant it, I did not enjoy the few rounds of Pokemon (and this is nothing against the game itself, more how I played in the game) before I died. However, playing Host really change my mind. That was a great game, and it got me interested in playing again.

What was wrong with how you played? I know you hated a lot on your results, but did you see the Team Rocket scum board/role PM's? Every scum in the game had the ability to come up town, and they used that almost every damned night. Investigators were virtually worthless in that game.

And your instincts weren't bad - pretty damned good actually, you investigated Jesse and James both! If it wasn't for that ability, man, we both would've been huge that game - you catching two scummies, and me keeping them from killing you, as was my default until you died. We coulda been a contenda...s. :p

As with mosts, I can't make heads or tails of these write-ups, but..I've got this really odd feeling - which may attributed to it being late and me being kinda tired - that the "she" in question is Gaz, and this is a show of a PGO power.

Maybe I just feel that way because the other known dangerous female, Tak, is thought to be the SK, and I can't really see any other scene where someone would die, leading me to think it was this where D_w_w died.

Worth a look, strange silencing. Slight chance SM was Zim, when DWW died Zim was released and could talk again. Might be too obvious though, it basically points out who Zim is with flashing lights and sirens.

I dunno, the lack of in-thread activity is enough to warrant some sort of pressure, anyway. If it's not him it would be Sean or Taker, the silencing just seals the deal.

For those that don't know, XP Guardian is a peice of malware that hacks into, and installs itself onto your computer, trying to make itself look like an anti-virus program.

I think I've actually beat this really awful malware, and..I'm actually a little proud of how I'm doing it. This is like the weirdest thing ever. Trying to directly click on ANY program lead to it saying it's unavailable or removed. I was able to log onto the internet via this nero search thing on the bar at the bottom. The one thing that worked by itself was AVG, and it finally came through for me, (After failing to find the cause multiple times) removing av.exe, the cause of the problem. But now when I try to open a program, it goes to that "Open Program With" menu thing, that gives you a choice of opening it with wordpad, or IE, or the Media Player ect. Even with programs that don't need that by any stretch, like MSN.

So you know what I did?

I clicked "Browse", and chose to open the program..WITH that program!

And it worked!!! Eat it, XP Guardian! :p

I was afraid I'd be forced to go AWOL for the second game in a row, but hopefully now that won't happen. Let's hope XP Guardian's actually gone now. AVG supposedly removed the file, so I'm optimistic.

For some reason I've been entirely unbothered by any computer threats for a few years now. I had horrible troubles way back, but I've found Sygate Personal Firewall, AVG Free Edition, and Spybot: Search & Destroy make a formidable combo.

They're all free, and I recommend them all. They're tiny and noninvasive too.

Sometimes that kind of play can get you to day 5-6 BUT if he is contributing nothing to the game then well....ya'know what happens. :D

Unfortunately, randomly assigning shady things to characters doesn't help matters much. NO characters that I'm aware of have floating drones.

Professor Membrane, however, often appears AS a floating drone and is probably the most intelligent character in the series. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGyYGe2H6EA) The guys Anti is aligned with (in the show) can probably fit that profile too.

I know that Jaded was silenced, just cause he can't talk doesn't mean he's not scum.

He TRIED to target me, but I stopped him and the PM I got hinted that his intentions were not very good.

Add to this he had a floating drone with him.

Unless someone knows of a good character with alien technology (in the form of a floating drone), I'm guessing Jaded is the SK or some other evil alien.

Don't split the vote, we can't afford another no lynch.

Jaded = harmful to townies.

This does tie in with what my PM's looked liked when I was targeted. You actually get told people are looking at you and its fairly descriptive, Could the floating drone be lprock? Turned into a drone now his ability and vote are gone.

At this stage, my tactic if town would be to lynch on of the inactive's. People need to know (and learn) that not contributing will get you lynched. There haven't been many death at night and the don is gone, think you can take a risk.

Gotta say, I absolutely hate people signing up and not playing. People can call it a tactic but it only ever gets you so far. For townies to do it irks me even more. Its like they pull a role and then decide its not that exciting so don't really show up.

ATM, I'm not of the mind that being silenced automatically means you are a townie. Could be competing scum factions hurting each other, could be the sk was silenced, could have been a townie doing the silencing etc... etc... etc...

We need to get something done this phase and right now the split vote does nothing at all for us.

PP, seems to think that Jaded targeted him with less than altruistic intentions. We can act on this small tidbit of information or decide to get to the questions tomorrow. On the other hand, SM's lack of participation is troubling in itself, if he's town he's doing nothing for us, if he's scum then he's just trying to stall us a day.

At this point in time, I'm much more in favor of taking care of SM now (as the fact he hasn't addressed suspicions is troubling to me) and grilling Jaded come the morning when he can talk to us.

Either way, we have to start getting active, or scum will just weed out the few talkative people we do actually have and pick us off in silence.

I agree, when I put votes on him it was to put pressure but obviously he does not care. I say lets lynch him and get it over with, heck SuperOwens isn't even town and he is helping us more than Mareo.

My post above was originally a little meaner, but I toned it down a bit before posting, as I didn't want to offend, and thought that I was likely over-reacting. (And that I was starting to adapt the meaner side of Arrows' personality, which I'm not looking to do..yet. :p) It just kinda bugged me that people were acting like trying to get him to talk was a bad idea.

Does make me wonder how many greens are left, and if there indie, town haven't done that much damage to the scum. Seems like they only have 1 kill a night now though. Evenly balanced I'd say.

As for everyone, I'm playing this close to the chest for two reasons.

1) I'm still looking to be replaced and I don't want to hand over a ruined role

2) As said above, I'd much rather keep scum guessing about my abilities then just reveal everything. Besides, it's a really complicated role and would take awhile to fully explain :D

Indeed, the game is dragging; might be a combo of theme and write-ups that make us actually work.

I agree. I subbed in but I am putting the effort into a game I don't know the show.

I think it upsets the players and the mods when people go inactive.

/nod, there are a handful of players I hate to see sign up for my games, which I've luckily avoided having signed up in my past few games modding. It just sucks to sink time into creating a role and balancing it out to fit the game and then see someone go inactive and let it go to waste. Poor play is one thing, but inactivity has no excuse.

ATM, McFly seems like a very good choice. The last game he played the same exact way and was the SK. I realize he's never been a power poster but really, 4 posts is ridiculous.

The aspects of the game no. The flow of the game and the activeness in the thread alot.

I think I would probably be pretty upset if I were a mod and people just went inactive. I for one as a player get upset about a game going quiet because it hurts the entire game when even one player goes quiet.

If it were closer to phase end the minip would make more sense as it would cause the ones voting on him to look bad. Or they are doing it to cause havoc. With that many people voting its hard to say who is doing the messing around.

I'm..still not following you. If they wanted him lynched, then why would they interfere? They could just not use the ability and watch it happen. Instead, they delay it like this, and let us debate the possibility of him being framed. Which, again, defeats the purpose.

I agree with MLT to an extent. There is merit for vote manipulation on people not in your group. However the only time to really entertain the idea is with a few hours left. Since it has to actually have a chance at preventing the lynch.

Someone made a point about McFly getting investigated as town and getting off. True he may, but that investigator is one less person to investigate the vote manipulating scum (meaning they have an extra night to kill, should the investigator go back the following night). McFly may also get killed at night, as assumed scum. Again, one less killer to target the manipulating scum.

I'm not holistically talking about this game, but for tactics in general. McFly may even be a loved townie that takes one more vote (masterded in this case). Could even be some powerhouse unlynchable scum.

Back to this game, silence is rarely good. It worked with SM, but we were wrong with Taker. McFly should know better though and is proven to enjoy these games (unlike Taker) so there's definitely some merit to the attempted lynch.

I explained my position. I wouldn't have come online especially to say I'm not voting if I was his team-mate. That's utterly stupid. It would have been simpler to just have lurked out of thread until the phase was over.
