In an interview backstage he formally challenged Kenny to a title match.

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi & Juice Robinson defeated Tetsuya Naito, EVIL & SANADA in 18:20 when Tanahashi used two High Fly Flows on Tetsuya Naito to pin the IWGP Heavyweight Champion 91 A

Tanahashi demanded a microphone and Shota Umino performing Young Lion duties at ringside tossed one in to him.

Tanahashi started by thanking the fans for coming out and selling out the building but questioned them for opting to cheer for L.I.J over his team in the match. Tanahashi said that he understands that his year has been far from what he has wanted but he's had a hint of bad luck in addition to certain unnamed allies of his under performing in matches letting him and the fans of the ace of NJPW down. Hiroshi stopped while a small percentage of the crowd started to boo him but they were quickly drowned out by fans chanting his name. He continued on saying that he proved tonight that when he is left to battle for himself with no "help" he is still capable of being the man to lead NJPW and being the ace so challenged Tetsuya Naito to a IWGP title match and made it extremely clear to Kota, but mainly Juice, that he wants to go in alone at Dominion.
