Would you use a pic pack like this?

I was just wondering, if anyone would use pics "cut" like this. You can make them very quickly, and to me it looks ok... Idea stolen from Panix's Sci Fi Mod, who stole it from DOTT.

I quickly "cut" the cast/roster of Wrestling Society X, to see what it looks like and give you guys a looksy... Anyway, if you'd use something like it, vote yes. If you dont like it, vote no.


(Note: If it was a pack done for REAL, I'd chose some better pics on some of these. It's just what MTV is using as the photos.)

I like KYKY better, i like the background better and the pics are closer. I don't like the DOTT ones either for the record, but you kind of have to use those because there aren't any alternatives.

So, you wouldnt want a change from KyKy if there was an alternative then, right? That's fair, you like what you like, I for one, have grown tired of KyKy.

No probably not. I was just speaking for myself like the topic asked, but for an alternative they're nice.

I wouldn't use them. I don't particularly mind the idea of just a plain pic, not cutting it out onto a background, but I certainly wouldn't use one that had TCP PRODUCTIONS across the bottom. Fair enough, you've made the pics. But when I'm playing a game, I don't really care.

The border is ok though, I'd prefer it in a blue ala Crychon's background.

I'd use something like that, although with a thinner boarder. I must admit to being one of the people out there that don't really care about backgrounds, but a thin border could give that uniform feeling.

i wouldn't use them either, i just don't like the box around it.

Yes i've grown tired of KyKy myself, but, there's just sooooooo many pictures on that background, and there will continue to be more pictures on that background, that, unless someone was willing to do a whole Rave-X and T-Zone pic pack combined onto one background, then couldnt see myself changing over.

I'm with Bob on this one. Too much border, I for one don't care about which pic pack I'm using as long as the photos are decent. I mix and match all the time as they aren't crucial to gameplay. I prefer KyKy, merely because I love that guy, I miss him

To be honest i think stealing is a very strong word to use. I was unaware that anybody on these boards held the copyright on putting a border on something I think i read somewhere that D. Boon uses the style of picture he does in DOTT because he can't cut the picture's. I can cut the pic's but this method is a helluva lot quicker.

Another problem for DOTT is finding good quality pictures of past stars.

I couldn't care less about a picture being cut. As long as it's 150x150, decent quality, and shows the person's face, that's good enough for me.

What I don't like is seeing where a border has been added. 150x150 is kinda small already, and reducing the space used for the actual picture seems like a no-no to me. Having a watermark at the bottom that says "TCP Productions" seems a little tacky, too. It feels too, I dunno, E. Baum's World, like you're taking credit for the picture itself instead of just taking credit for shrinking it down to 150x150. "FOTORC" wouldn't be so bad, though, if you absolutely must use a border.
