Default FCW Freedom to Crash

Well I decided to start another diary, hopefully this one will go little bit longer than my previous attempts. my user avatar is grant avatar as always and all abilities are on 5.

Instead of another 0/0/0/0 attempt I decided to try something new (for me) and take an existing promotion. Now this is only second time with TEW2010 when I do so (if we donīt include few tries that ended after just 2-3 shows) and I chose FCW as the promotion (NYCW was the other possibility) mainly because I like their product and their starting roster is quite interesting. There will be no backstory since Iīm not really that good storyteller.

Oh and Grant avatar is the owner since thatīs how Iīm always playing so no owner goals for me, on the flip side though, Puerto Rican Power might leave at some point. Well guess thatīs pretty much all there is to tell now, next comes my usual roster review.

ROSTER:
Here is my usual roster analysis and my current though about the wrestlers and their future in FCW. Probably not all that useful but I like doing these and that’s all that matters, right?

Main event:

Bradford Peverell
Age: 25
Face, Fan Favourite
I was slightly surprised to see Peverell on main event scene from the start. Not that heīs bad or anything but I would have expected to see either Leper Messiah or Hernandez on the main event before Peverell. Still despite what I just said Peverell is going to be one of the top guys as he is young, talented and I havenīt seen him going to bigger companies, like some of the other guys from the roster. He is currently in a storyline with Gonzales, Messiah and Hellīs Bouncer which means that Peverell is going to get a time in the spotlight with some of the companyīs biggest names.

Handsome Stranger
Age: 34
Heel, Egomaniac
Stranger is a solid veteran presence and is currently in a storyline with the big guy himself (thatīs Puerto Rican Power of course). Stranger has good performance skills and decent star quality and entertainment skills so he should fit well in equal performance/popularity based promotion because heīs able to carry himself on both angles and matches, at least I hope he is. Stranger is one of the highest paid guy as he nets 1000$ per appearance, he has 20 months left for heīs current contract and whatever he will stay after that depends on his demands and performance, right now I would like to keep him but that might change over time.

Hellīs Bouncer
Age: 23
Heel, Evil Incarnate
To be brutally honest Bouncer is over pushed as he isnīt that skilled in the ring and he is pretty useless on microphone as well. However he is very menacing and has somewhat decent skills for a big guy so he is going to stay near the top unless he decides to go somewhere else (or ask too much). Bouncer is in similar situation than Stranger, I would currently like to keep him but it depends about what he asks when his contract comes up in 14 months. At least there is still time for that so I can get some use out of him even on the worst case scenario. I had to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that Bouncer doesnīt have huge ego despite him getting a strong push on so young age. So the bottom line right now is that Bouncer is going to be my monster heel (or rather my TOP monster heel as there is plenty of monster heels on the roster).

Puerto Rican Power
Age: 38
Face, Patriot
Right, Power is ridiculously popular in Puerto Rica so he is obviously going to main event a lot and will likely carry the main belt a lot too. Unless he leaves that is as he only has 8 months left to his contract and since Iīm the owner so Power doesnīt necessarily have any reason to stay… I definitely hope that I can re-sign him but to be honest Iīm not so sure about it. His huge overness is also posing a slight problem for me as Iīm not used to deal with huge overness caps and Iīm not sure how willing Mr. Power is to lose to anyone in any situation. At least he isnīt bad locker room presence like I expected for some reason.

Shawn Gonzales
Age: 38
Face, Loner
Gonzales has great performance skills but sucks on mic (and yes I pretty much only look performance and entertainment skills and donīt care that much on other skills so take my opinions for what they worth). Biggest problem that I have with Gonzales is ironically his overness (C+ around the USA with next best guys are in D-) which is just too big compared to other guys from my roster. He likely will win a lot simply because I usually like to keep my wrestlers happy and I doubt Gonzales is willing to job others because of that overness cap. Gonzales has 19 months left to his current contract and though I would like to keep him Iīm not counting on it (Iīm actually fearing that he is simply too big name for FCW unless I can grow to regional size before his contract runs out and even then I see about 50/50 change at best to keep him) and if he leaves he takes a lot of positive backstage bonuses with him. Still he is going to be one of the top guys as long as he stays with me.

Uppermidcard:

D.C. Rayne
Age: 26
Face, Bad Ass
I must confess here that I really like the three starting tag teams in FCW. Why? Simply because they pretty much ideal tag teams on my opinion. All three teams look like an actual team instead of some throw together pair, none of them are all that talented (yes I found that a good thing as that means that I can keep them together as they arenīt really good enough to receive singles push) but still skilled enough that they can be good midcarders. Ok enough about what I think is a good tag team guy and more talk about the actual subject. Rayne is actually pretty decent all around guy with C on mic skills and decent performance skills. Like you probably guessed I have zero plans to break Natural Talent and I expect them to be one of the backbones on my tag division.

Leper Messiah
Age: 34
Heel, Spycho
Ah, Leper Messiah one of my favorite guys in the database and one who I hope has a long career left in FCW. However Iīm aware that Messiah isnīt all that great wrestler (or talker for that matter) and my earlier experiences tells that he usually demands title runs, something that I rarely give to guys so we will see how long he stays on my good side. Messiah has 19 months left on his current contract so you can expect to see him on my upper midcard for at least that long. I do have some plans for Messiah, Bouncer and few other guys (read stable) but we will see how that works out.

Mainstream Hernandez
Age: 23
Face, Fun Babyface
You have probably noticed by now that Iīm pretty unsure if Iīm able to keep my top guys when the contract negations start. Well I donīt really have such fears with Hernandez in fact Iīm almost 100% sure that he wonīt stay for long as TCW usually signs him after they rise to next level early in the game. That means that Hernandez will likely lose the Peopleīs belt sooner rather than later but I will use him as long as I can.

The Sensational Singh
Age: 32
Heel, Fabulous Heel
Singh is another talented guy, but just like Hernandez heīs likely going to leave to TCW soon enough so I donīt have much plans for him. Singh is managed by Carl Bach.

Titan
Age: 23
Heel, Monster
To be honest I really fail to see what Titan can add to FCW. I mean yes he is a big monster heel but so are Hellīs Bouncer, Leper Messiah, Ox Mastadon and King Kong Kennedy and they are all either more talented, have better gimmick or has tag team experience. On top of that Titan is negative backstage influence so let’s just say that heīs future doesnīt look particularly bright. I was planning to turn him face before I found out that he cannot play face even if heīs life depends on it so that plan is out of the window as well. Most likely Titan will leave after heīs current contract ends (after 10 months).

Midcard:

Eddie Howard
Age: 24
Face, Bad Ass
Second half of the Natural Talent. Pretty much everything I said to his partner works here as well, which means that Howard will be a solid midcarder and tag team scene mainstay for years to come.

Hector Galindo
Age: 24
Heel, Gangsta
One half of the current tag champs and another guy who will be backbone to my tag division. Galindo isnīt nearly as talented as Howard or Rayne but he still decent enough for me. Heīs not going to go above midcard position unless he picks up some more wrestling skills though.

Jesus Chavez
Age: 24
Heel, Street Thug
Chavez is the third member of Latino Kings and heīs job isnīt as safe as heīs fellow kings mainly because he doesnīt have the tag team experience. Still Chavez could work as midcard monster heel type (not that I lack that type of guys) and he actually seems to be more skilled than Galindo so he has some use for me. On the negative side heīs negative backstage influence so we will see if he can behave well. Chavez has 18 months left for his current contract so he will at least stay that long what happens after that depends on how he does inside and outside of the ring.

King Kong Kennedy
Age: 28
Heel, Monster
Ah, another heel monster type guy. To be honest Kennedy doesnīt have much going on other than being menacing and having tag experience with fellow fatty Ox but right now thatīs enough for me. Kennedy will stay on tag division though since I already have enough monster heels on top of the ladders right now. Overall I expect Kennedy to stay fit me and be another solid hand on my tag division but we see how that turns out.

Kirk Jameson
Age: 23
Face, No Gimmick Needed
Jameson forms a tag team with Hernandez but since I expect Hernandez to leave soon that wonīt matter all that much. From my current roster Jameson seems like the guy who is most likely to rise to uppermidcard position once Singh and Hernandez leave. Jameson will be on Peopleīs title hunt from the start and will likely hold it at some point. Jameson isnīt particularly good talker which might hurt him a little bit since I usually favor guys with good entertainment skills. Jameson is managed by Maryam Vega.

Ox Mastadon
Age: 27
Heel, Monster
Other half of 937lb Express and another monster heel. Everything I said about Kennedy fits here as well so no need to repeat myself all over again.

Rudy Velasquez
Age: 24
Heel, Gangsta
Second half of current tag champs and most talented of the three Latino Kings. Right now Velasquez will stay in the tag division but he is probably the one guy (from my current tag division) who I could see getting a singles push at some point (though admittedly I thing that Natural Storm guys are better than Rudy). I wonder if I should get some talky manager to manage the Latino Kings since all three are pretty poor talkers. We will see which way I go with Rudy but right now he will be another tag team specialist.

Lower midcard:

Amo Del Gato
Age: 26
Face, Fun Babyface
Right now we start to get to the jobber ranks. FCWīs lower ranks seems to be little bit face heavy at the moment so someone needs to be turned and there will also be at least one new tag team thrown together from the lower card guys. But none of those things doesnīt necessarily include Gato so letīs move to him shall we? Well actually Iīm quite neutral about Gato right now, he got decent but not great skills and heīs bad backstage presence so I gut feeling say that he isnīt going to be all that important any time soon. However unless he starts causing troubles I could see him having a lower midcard role for some time.

Carlos Gonzales
Age: 27
Heel, Maniac
There is only two wrestlers on FCWīs starting roster who I donīt really like, unfortunately for Carlos he is one of them (Titan is the other in case someone wonders). Carlos is pretty horrible at ring even on my low standards and isnīt great on the microphone either. On top of that heīs extremely negative influence backstage so on normal circumstances he would be prime suspect to go, however heīs connection with his brother might safe his job as Iīm pretty hesitant to let him go as long as I have change to keep Shawn (Iīm not used to deal with high popularity guys so I have no idea how easy/hard it is to keep them around). Overall Carlos will likely stay for now and at least he will be a jobber who I donīt mind jobbing and itīs always good to have few of those around.

Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr.
Face: 24
Face, Show Stealer
Another of those lucha guys who seem to populate much of the lowercard in FCW. Dragon has quite nice performance skills with good flying skills and great star quality. Sadly he isnīt all that entertaining but he still is pretty solid guy who might rise up from heīs current position at some point. Right now though heīs mostly a jobber who is still collecting experience.

El Hijo De Zonk
Age: 23
Face, Fun Babyface
Zonk is on my opinion, best of the luchadores who work in the FCW as he has decent mic skills compinated with good performance skills and decent star quality. Pretty much everything I said about the Dragon fits here too so Zonk might have bigger role on the future but right now heīs still mostly a jobber.

Matt Hocking
Age: 20
Face, Evolution
Hocking is a decent young guy who might be good in the future but frankly I think right now he would be more useful if heīs would still be tagging with Regular Joe. Still since the backstory is that Hocking is getting a singles run, I stay with it though I have no plans to push him anytime soon. So basically right now Hocking is a singles jobber, future will show if he eventually gets a push or if I put him back on tag team ranks.

Openers:

Arthur Dexter Bradley
Age: 19
Face, Fun Babyface
Another decent young guy who will be jobber for now. Not much else to say yet, expect that I willlikely keep him around for some time to see how he develops.

Tigre Salvaje Jr.
Age: 23
Heel, Arrogant Heel
Yet another luchadore. Salvaje doesnīt have all that much going on and he will be jobber for unforeseeable future. Heīs one of the few lowercard heels so look for him getting lots of losses during the coming months.

Tag teams:
Hernandez & Jameson (Mainstream Hernandez & Kirk Jameson)
Natural Storm (D.C. Rayne & Eddie Howard)
The 937lb Express (King Kong Kennedy & Ox Mastadon)
The Latino Kings (Ruby Velasquez & Hector Galindo)

Others:

Carl Batch
Age: 32
Heel, Hustler
Batch works as manager and he is quite good on his job. In fact heīs so good that TCW usually signs him pretty quickly and thatīs why donīt have any plans for him. If he stays he will definitely has a secured job as there is only few better managers around.

Cueball Lynch
Age: 37
Heel
Lynch is pretty good colour commentator who has secured job for years to come.

Dane OīHara
Age: 35
Face
Decent commentator and assuming that he and Lynch donīt have bad chemistry I donīt see any reason to change my commentator anytime soon.

Maryam Vega
Age: 23
Face, Fun Babyface
Maryam is manager who is strictly eye candy as she is absolutely horrible at microphone. To be honest Iīm not really all that great using managers especially ones that doesnīt talk but Vega is cheap so I might keep her around.

Rico Santana
Age: 47
Face
Decent road agent and like most of my staff he has secure job as long as he doesnīt ask too much money and doesnīt cause troubles backstage .

Ryan Holland
Age: 37
Face
FCWīs only referee who is another one who has a job for some time (in case you havenīt noticed I donīt really pay much attention to my non-wrestlers as long as they doesnīt cause any troubles or drag the match ratings down).

New Signings:

Sienna DeVille
Age: 32
Heel, Bitch
DeVille is going to be the manager for my new heel stable that is built around Hellīs Bouncer and Leper Messiah. On other words Sienna is having pretty big role right now but we will see where this one goes as Iīm not really used to use managers or stables so this is kind of an experiment as well.

DeCipher
Age: 23
Heel, Acolyte
DeCipher is one of my favorite luchadores so obviously I wanted to have him now that I play with a company that already involves several other lucha guys. DeCipher is going to start as jobber because he doesnīt speak English and isnīt all that great in the ring either but I hope that he will someday be at least solid midcarder.

FCW starts the year with big time matches when all three titles are on the line in the first show in 2010. In our main event Puerto Rican Power is defending Puerto Rican Title against Handsome Stranger. Power has beaten many opponents before but none as cunning as Stranger who is known for his mind games. Can Power prevail against opponent who is different from heīs previous rivals? Mainstream Hernandez will also but his People Championship on the line against the mighty Titan. Will the power offence from Titan be too much for Mainstream? The Latino Kings will defend their titles against the pair of El Hijo De Zonk & Matt Hocking. Another big fight is on the card when loner Shawn Gonzales takes on Leper Messiah. Gonzales and Peverell have declared that they will end the reign of terror from Hellīs Bouncer and Messiah but can they prevail where even Puerto Rican Power has failed? Speaking of Hellīs Bouncer he is also having a match tonight against youngster Arthur Dexter Bradley.

Predictions:
1 vs. 1 for the Peoples Championship
Mainstream Hernandez vs. Titan

Hellīs Bouncer vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley

2 vs. 2 for the Tag Team titles
The Latino Kings (Ruby Velasquez & Hector Galindo) vs. El Hijo De Zonk & Matt Hocking

Leper Messiah vs. Shawn Gonzales

1 vs. 1 for the Puerto Rican Title
Puerto Rican Power vs. Handsome Stranger

Same deal for predictions than from my earlier diaries. Winner gets to pick a wrestler who I must sign (assuming that itīs possible of course) or give one of the wrestlers a title shot. Contest will run full game year.

Not played FCW, but your roster rundown has me really interested in them - great job!

1 vs. 1 for the Peoples Championship
Mainstream Hernandez vs. Titan

Hellīs Bouncer vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley

2 vs. 2 for the Tag Team titles
The Latino Kings (Ruby Velasquez & Hector Galindo) vs. El Hijo De Zonk & Matt Hocking

Really wanted to pick HS as I hate PRP with a passion (going back to a USPW game in 2008 where he screwed me over) but... not a chance.

January 2010
Friday week 2

Dark Matches:
1 vs. 1
Bradford Peverell vs. DeCipher
WINNER: Bradford Peverell by pinfall in 5:23 E+

2 vs. 2
Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr. & Amo Del Gato vs. Carlos Gonzales & Tigre Salvaje Jr.
WINNERS: Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr. & Amo Del Gato by pinfall in 6:16 D-

FCW FREEDOM Fighters
Place: San Juan High School
Attendance: 300

ANGLE:

Show starts with Puerto Rican Power coming in ring and assuring fans that he will once again defend the Puerto Rican title successfully like so many times before. As expected that statement did draw his opponent, Handsome Stranger to ring. Stranger admits that Power has defeated some impressive big guys. He then proceeds to tell and all those guys had brains about the size of a peanut but now Power is facing smart opponent and that he is going to lose because let’s face is Power isnīt any wiser that heīs previous opponents. C

1 vs. 1 for the Peoples Championship

vs.
Mainstream Hernandez vs. Titan

Titan dominates the early part of this match but Hernandez manages to stay in the game and starts slowly getting the upperhand when Titan is tiring up. Hernandez manages to pick up the win after hitting Titan with a Super Kick.
WINNER: Mainstream Hernandez by pinfall in 7:37 D

ANGLE:

Unknown female comes in the ring and introduces herself as Sienna DeVille. Sienne then proceeds to tell the audience that she will bring an Age of Darkness to FCW and that the age has started already. She then introduces her first two clients Hellīs Bouncer and Leper Messiah. The trio declares that they are now known as Bringers of Darkness and that they will soon rule FCW. E+

1 vs. 1
/w vs.
Hellīs Bouncer /w. Sienna DeVille vs. Arthur Dexter Bradley

This one was just basic squash match as Hellīs Bouncer showed why he is former Puerto Rican champion. Damnation Drop in around five minutes mark mercilessly ends this one.
WINNER: Hellīs Bouncer by pinfall in 4:52 E+

2 vs. 2 for the Tag Team titles

& vs. &
The Latino Kings (Ruby Velasquez & Hector Galindo) vs. El Hijo De Zonk & Matt Hocking

Basic tag team fight where Latino Kings had the edge for most of the time thanks to their tag team experience. Ruby ends this one with Street Cutter on Hocking while Galindo kept Zonk busy.
WINNERS: Latino Kings by pinfall in 8:23 D-

ANGLE:

Zonk looks pretty pissed off after the match and starts yelling to Hocking who answers right back. Eventually things get physical with Zonk snapping and attacking Hocking before finishing him of with Zonk Bomb. F+

ANGLE:

Shawn Gonzales and Bradford Peverell are on hype duty. They tell fans that Messiah and Bouncer can call their little team whatever they want and that Sienna joining them doesnīt matter because their reign of terror will be over soon. Despite the fact that Peverell and Gonzales seems to have same goals you get a sense that they are united just because of those goals. In fact Gonzales even tells Peverell to stay out of the way because he doesnīt need help. C-

1 vs. 1
/w. vs.
Leper Messiah /w. Sienne DeVille vs. Shawn Gonzales

Gonzales might be loner and all but he does have some serious wrestling skills. Something that Messiah is finding out pretty quickly. DeVille interferences few times and that helps Messiah to stay in the game but in the end Gonzales manages to lock Latino Crab and forces Messiah to tap out.
WINNER: Shawn Gonzales by submission in 11:32 D+

1 vs. 1 for the Puerto Rican Title

vs.
Puerto Rican Power vs. Handsome Stranger

Stranger uses lots of mind games (and cheap shots) in this one and those seem to thrown Power out of his game a little. Still Power shows why he is the champion and manages to make a comeback every time that Stranger is trying to end this one. Eventually it seems that Stranger gets too frustrated and gets himself DQ when he pushes referee out of his way one too many times.
WINNER: Puerto Rican Power by DQ in 18:11 C-

Show rating: D+
Comments: Decent first show, no big disappointments or surprises here. Not sure how good/bad D+ rating is but I assume itīs pretty much as good as I can get right now. DeCipher and Peverell had bad chemistry but I rather have one there than say between Power and Stranger. Zonks turn went well too, like I said I simply had too many undercard faces so someone had to turn. Results where all pretty straight forward, no title changes on the first show and in two non-title matches the more over guy got the win. Dark tag match where used to test tag chemistries, no positive ones but no negative either so I will pair Dragon and Amo together (hence why they got the win there). Lots of overness gains from this show some quite unexpected. Hellīs Bouncer, Stranger, Del Gato, Dragon, Carlos Gonzales, DeCipher, Peverell, Hernandez, Bradley and Zonk all got to next overness level, some after losses. Carlos surprised me most from this punch since he lost a tag match against two lower midcarders, then again the match was rated D- and his overness was on F+ so that explains that, still wasnīt expecting it.
