Default WWF In The Multi-Verse

So, to keep TEW fresh to me, I started a game that incorporated the 9000-verse (thanks to crayon for that awesome mod) Cornellverse(thank you AR) and as the starting point Kobe1724's 2002 Data(Thank you). I started in 2002 and imported all the data from the other two mods to create a huge game world. Since I have enjoyed playing with the various match-ups that have been created(HHH vs Superman was the main event of my highest rated card!) I have decided to start a diary. I felt it belonged in here, since it will be vastly different than most.

Instead of starting over, here is a brief history of the events that have happened since the start in April 2002.

Year 2002
WWF stayed strong this year, releasing several dead weights in development(Rip Rogers, really?) Added into the mix were several big-name wrestlers such as Jack Bruce, Tommy Cornell, Superman, and making a surprise return to wrestling, Ricky Steamboat, who immediately feuded with Ric Flair. Paul Heyman introduced his mega-stable Monsters of Mayhem, consisting of Brock Lesnar, Zangief, Abomination, and Vader. In a shocking move, Sting joined the company and immediately won the Undisputed title, beating Undertaker at SummerSlam.

Around the multi-verse, SWF began a neck and neck race with WWF for top promotion. NJPW dominated Japan, and the influx of new promotions and wrestlers made the independent scene matter again.

No major deaths, but Curt Hennig was caught in a drug bust, as was Scott Hall. Both were immediatly fired.

Year 2003
WWF added two development territories, in Ultimate Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor. Only a small number of wrestlers were chosen to be added and sent to them, but bright spots such as CM Punk, Roderick Strong, Samoa Joe, and the Bumfholes have shined. 2003 saw the newest retirement of Hulk Hogan, though as of this day, its seems to have stuck. Triple H won the Undisputed Title, and began a months-long feud with Superman, ultimately driving Superman out of the company and into the Land Of the Rising Sun, signing with NJPW. Steve Austin left the company, and signed with rival SWF, though he has yet to unseat Skull DeBones for their World Title. Lex Luger made a surprise return to wrestling, attacking Sting in his rematch with Triple H, and that blood feud rages on today. Two previous midcarders moved into the main event scene, Champagne Lover and Prince Vegeta. Kurt Angle was fired for three failed drug tests, and signed with DBZ, forming a tag team with Jeff Jarrett that had an eleven-month title reign.

In sad news, Antonio Inoki, Curt Hennig, and Pitbull Anthony Durante all passed away, though only Inoki was not drug-related.

After several failing months, NYCW, CZCW, WWA, and MDC2 have all closed their doors. In December, Jeff Jarret shocked the wrestling industry by leaving DBZ and starting TNA.

Jan 2004-March 2004

WWF officially debuted their new concept "the brand extension". Originally laughed at, the influx of new talent, split of the Undisputed Title, and idea to keep PPV's having matches from both brands, but never inter-branded has work so far, with PPV numbers dipping slightly, but more because of the state of wrestling. Wrestlemania featured Rumble winner Lex Luger being crowned the first WWF Global Champion in a brutal match with former friend Sting. WWF World Champion Jack Bruce succesfully defeated Brock Lesner, but was attacked by a returning Kurt Angle, who it seems was re-hired after reforming his drug problems.

This dairy will start Monday, April 1, 2004. The US wrestling industry is sitting at F+ and still falling. The only worse off region is Japan, which also has F+, but is rising.

I would like feedback about any interest in this diary. Suggestions for future angles, and matches are welcome. Later I will post current main rosters, as well as development rosters.
