Breaking News!
After Georges St. Pierre gets injured, so does Frankie Edgar, its a back injury that will keep him out for 18-24 months. This makes the UFC 144 main event a match for the vacant lightweight title! UFC said that Edgars absence is way to long too keep an interim belt and that they would have to vacate the title. Another big piece of news is that when Nick Diaz said he was retiring after his loss at UFC 143, he actually meant it as he told the UFC to release him and they have, and will have a press conference about it. This is a big day in mma. Jon Anik, UFC.com Last edited by ShotgunShogun : 02-12-2012 at 04:08 AM. |

Dana White speaks on the Nick Diaz situation, "Nick Diaz came storming in and asked me to let him go, he told me he doesn't need this s**t and that he would be a trainer and if and commentator if we needed one."
I got to speak to Nick Diaz, he told me what Dana said, he wanted his contract to be let go and didn't want to fight. In other news, UFC has announced 16 new signings. Heavyweight Pedro Rizzo Light Heavyweight Glover Texeria Ricardo Arona Lightweight Alexander Sarnavsky Flyweight Brandon Merkt Darrell Montague Dileno Lopes Frank Baca Jose Maria Tome Kiuotaka Shimizu Mamoru Yamaguchi Pat Runez Roy Docyogen Shinichi Kojima Yuki Shojo Yuki Yasunga The UFC particularly Dana White has shown interest in Sarnavsky, he's a protege of Alexander Schlemenko, he's 17-0 and has multiple submission and tko victories and has really impressed UFC executives. |
