Welcome to the ThunderVerse! Previously known as the jhdVerse. Created by jhd1 & Shmoe ![]() BEFORE STARTING A NEW GAME, CHECK THE SECOND POST OF THIS THREAD FOR A NUMBER OF MINOR FIXES http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum...&postcount=481 A huge thanks to Trell for uploading v1 of the mod, and Shmoe for subsequent uploads. But please, remember the disclaimer below - only we can upload the jhdVerse, and it can only be posted on this forum! In other words, please don't make a mirror, and don't make a 'jhdVerse' thread on a forum other than this one. Thanks for understanding! ![]() TIPS, TRICKS & NOTES Probably would have been more helpful had I posted this at the beginning but still Here are a few things to keep in mind as you play the jhdVerse...-I would set Worker Generation to ON. I've successfully tested ten years with it set to Low, so how many new workers you want is entirely up to you. -By the same token, I would leave Regens on. Sure, it's a bit odd seeing a 19 year-old Terry Thunder but it helps to world flow. -You'll probably notice that the PPV carriers and TV networks are the same as the default database. I didn't include the pictures for that reason, but they are assigned so you should just be able to copy and paste them from your default picture folder. -UPJ and DIASPORA have already had their rosters split into Heavyweight and Cruiserweight Divisions for ease of use via the filter system. -All 23 of the Become A Star participants are graduates of the Become A Star dojo. It is no longer active, but by filtering the dojo page by Retired/Inactive you'll find it. Double clicking on the name will open said individual's bio, so you can quickly hire all 23 should you so wish. -For people who are using their own promotion, or would like to add an additional belt to their current promotion, MJStark has kindly provided a number of generic title belts that are included within the jhdVerse download. DISCLAIMER I would appreciate it if people did not make a mirror of any release of the jhdVerse - this allows me to keep control of which version is available and, in theory, to keep the mod to this forum. As I'm sure you understand, a lot of work has gone into this and we would like to retain its ownership! ![]() HYPE THREAD INFORMATION What Is The jhdVerse? Welcome to the jhdVerse, the latest original wrestling world for TEW 2010. Inspired by the GDS-Verse and the first few posts of the LoNdOn, this mod is currently contains 513 fully rendered workers (all with complete stats and popularities), and covers three areas of the wrestling world - the United States, Mexico and Japan. The first release will cover only these three areas. Future updates may expand the mod into new regions. The mod begins in January 2012. What Is The Purpose Of The jhdVerse? Choice. The jhdVerse aims to give the player as much freedom as possible. Play as one of fifteen promotions, or create your own using the extensive number of available talent at your disposal. While there is a 'backstory' to the mod, which will begin posted later on today, like the Cornellverse there is enough to hold the mod together without it becoming restrictive. Credits All characters, promotions and their respective biographies were written by myself and Shmoe. All renders, and banners were created by myself, jhd1. Most of the logos were also done by jhd1, with the exception of the LWA, Wrestlesaurus X, EVOLVE and SPLASH! logos which were created by the remarkable Kamchatka. All title belt images were created by MJStark who has done a brilliant job in making his already excellent work fit the look of the mod. Bigpapa42 was an enormous help in the early formation of the mod, in particular the layout of the United States. LoNdOn, Trell, angeldelayette, and Sebsplex have also been extremely supportive since the very beginning of the project. We would also like to thank Weidt for allowing the jhdVerse to feature a few crossovers with his excellent WMMA3 mod, the Weidtverse. The moment that at least some of you have been waiting for has arrived! As some people may know I have been feeling a bit under the weather for the last week and a bit, so there was a very slight delay to the original planned release (last weekend). At least we hit the deadline of February right!
![]() I'd like to once again thank everyone who has helped out on the project - most of all Shmoe whose work has been instrumental in getting this mod where it is today. Being a first release there are bound to be a few 'issues'. Hopefully these will be mainly bio related (spelling mistakes, wrong years or title reigns the most likely), so feel free to mention them here if you spot any. Any changes will be noted in the second post of this thread, so check there before posting and we won't end up with nine pages of Blood Spider having no title reigns Be kind though ![]() But most of all, I hope you all enjoy playing the jhdVerse! ![]() |

Awesome, whoop whoop.
Just a note about Fileserve: I've only so far been able to download one of the files and now (after one download link failed) have to wait for ten minutes before I can set about downloading the next two. I believe the max you can download is two before this kicks in so most people will face this restriction when trying to get the initial game. That aside, I've got the people.rar so I can at least start looking at all the amazing renders while I wait. |

Awesome! If possible can we have something other than FileServe links? Can't wait to get started, but 10 minute wait between files is no good

First, I want congratulate jhd1 & co for making this great mod! Thanks!
In my game I have discovered Crzy Will and Mammon having great chemistry as tag team. I'm thinking of turning them face and tag together, but I can't come up with a good team name. Would be delighted if anyone can help me with a name! ![]() Mammon will also get rid of his demon gimmick, calling himself Mark Nome thereafter... |

OK, so I played far longer than I meant to yesterday
![]() Shey Kinsella jobbed his way out of the Upper Midcard and into the Main Event, Jack Bodydrop falling back out of there to the upper midcard. As I finally had a face Main Eventer I had South drop the WWWE World Title to Shey. He ran with it for 3 months until a screwy finish involving Shey & Peter Iaukea. Claiming he won the title fair and square and should be the champion Peter brought his own belt to the next show, the PIW World Heavyweight Title ![]() He claimed he was the true PIW champion (kayfabe revealing he is 'now the majority shareholder' in the process) and challenged Shey to another match, winner takes all. Despite a valiant effort Shey lost the match following interference from the other members of the Multi-Cultural Militia (Ares & Klaxon) while the ref was down. Peter declared that the two titles would be unified, making him the final holder of the WWWE World Title and giving the PIW World Heavyweight Title one of the most pretigious lineages in wrestling history! (I swapped the name & pics over and vacated & retired the new WWWE World (the PIW World that Peter brought in originally) Fun times ![]() |

jhd1 - this is awesome. Really, really good.
I've got myself started on a SWA game after a couple of watchers just to see what happened and who went where. The starting game is nicely balanced so there aren't any really mad signing/firing sprees - except maybe DRAGON who pick up 3 or 4 guys. Chase Paige is just too much potential fun as an avater not to pick him and then just sit on his eventual reveal... Great stuff so far. |

![]() Another awesome belt, and the game sounds great. Ares & Klaxon make an awesome team, might have to steal that somewhere down the line! Quote:

I started a game with the Chase Paige avatar and created my own promotion (Impact Wrestling Corporation) using the hard setting, although I bumped the amount of cash in the company up to $250k. The game is being played with restrictions off, and the IWC is a touring company with a product blending a fast-paced modern style with bits of lucha libre, puro and tradition (pop=performance). So far it's turning out to be a really fun game!
I set myself some rules so that I didn't exploit anything (no more than four workers contracted to the 'Big Four' at any one time, foreign workers can only sign touring contracts etc.) and things are going pretty well so far after 25 shows. I'm running one small weekly show at The Piper Casino and a monthly show at the Hollywood Ballroom (a 1,000 seater that will probably end up in the next mod). I know I could just use The Snake Pit, but as the event is called Impact At The Hollywood Ballroom it didn't quite work ![]() My main event title - the IWC International - was held by heel "War Machine" Ares since the first Ballroom show when he defeated Shay Kinsella in a fantastic match until my very last show when Rick E Waters won it in a triple threat match with my most exciting signing yet...GUSHIKEN! The Japanese heavyweight decided he was too big for DIASORA so I stole him before UPJ could get their hands on him. Sato & Kanagaki won the IWC Tag Team titles at the second Ballroom show and are still the champs. They spent most of the first tour feuding with The Starr Brothers but have had a more varied opposition during my second tour (mostly thanks to a more impressive roster). Eric Lothario and Richie Santana Jr are having a good feud over whose father was the best, while Aaron Church is trying to convert everyone to his cult, The Fallen. So far Demon Iwasaki and Dtenshi are his only recruits. White Panther (Sr) is part of the tour and is teaming with El Nieto de Santo Guerrero, and after six weeks together took him under his wing! Marcus Franklin and Tony Pearce have made a pretty good team together as Perfect Execution - I'm quite tempted to move the tag belts over to them, but Franklin is knocking on the main event scene door and I think he'd be a great challenger for Waters' title. The other possibility for the next tag champs is Just Too Famous - the team of Brian King and Famous C ![]() The use of touring contracts and the lack of restrictions is quite fun for a change, it means I get to change things up every so often without feeling like I'm cheating, or spending hours looking for someone worth using. Fun times ![]() |

I'm little over a year in with AXE (I'm too hardheaded to call them PWSUX). Things are starting to heat up between the Big 4: AWF just ended their no aggression deal with CWT, went national, signed a bunch of guys to written deals and bagged themselves a new flagship show on ACE called Legends.
Among their "we just hit national? SPENDING SPREE!" signings were Cloud James, James Gilmour-Hart (Zomg), Rick E Waters and Seven Brandt. Those last two were annoying because Rick E. was one of my first signings in AXE, and was just coming off his first run as AXE Xtreme Champion. Rick E was my John Everyman character, and had been deeply interlocked in a long running feud with Cross. Similarly, I had just done big things with Brandt; after not really using him for the first part of the year I'd had him win a tournament for our new mid-card championship (I never used the Uncensored title and had ditched it almost from the start) and was having go over big with a faux-MMA gimmick. Cross is signed with CWT and AWF as well btw, with the long term danger that AWF signs him to a written next time they go over his contract . That's annoying, because he's head of a stable that includes Tyler (who turned on Klaxon for him), Johnny Cross (his kayfabe brother) and Ashmendai, the enforcer of the gang. Speaking of Johnny and Ashmendai, they're the current tag champions. they just beat OMURA and "Submission Addict" Scott Seal, SWAT (Superior Wrestling and Technique). SWAT became champions after then champs Poisonius Apathy started picking on OMURA for no good reason, and eventually teased that he should challenge them for the straps if he could even find a partner. OMURA was able to recruit the wrestling machine Seal as the two had previously tango'd in matches, and Seal respected OMURA as a competitor. Current Xtreme champion is Klaxon who beat Cross in one of AXE's best matches so far. I basically kept Klaxon and Cross as far apart as possible following the Tylene turn, with Cross using his lackey to fend off Klaxon's rage instead of himself. While Klaxon was busy getting bloody with the likes of Ashmendai, Cross managed to swipe the title from rival Rick E Waters, whom he hates for being John Everyman since he's a twisted anti-social punk. Ebi Kaviar is my United States Champion, and his main contender is Pierre Lojesne, with Zeke King and Jayden Cole making appearences in that division. I need more pure wrestling guys for that title, but I can't find any I really like. Most recently Dr Texas made his spectacular return to AXE. He's a bitter bast*rd who waltzed in and straight away complained about the attitude of all the top faces in AXE nowadays, much to the dismay of 13TEEN, his long time tag partner. Texas rapidly won a number of high profile matches and challenged Klaxon for the strap. However, during the match Texas was distracted by 13TEEN who came out to try and wake up the referee who'd taken a bump. That added a lot of fuel to the fire since the two had already argued over Texas's attitude, and as well as the fact the two just lost their LETHAL tag team titles' in LETHAL after a two year reign. There's definitely something brewing there. The JHD-Verse is pretty refreshing and fun to play, but it does suffer from having only so many character to chose from. I mean there's been a incredible amount of work put into it, but just as a constructive criticism compared to the C-Verse I feel more limited as to who I can hire that'll fit each promotion. |
