Help save my game!

Hey guys,

Bought TEW2008 a couple years back, and started up playing again recently, and I'm 5-6 years in. Went to go play it, and all of a sudden the game wouldn't load. The message that pops up on the screen is

"This game cannot be loaded, as the control file is empty"

I'm so far in, and the game world has changed so much that I'm not gonna go back and start over. I hope there is a way to recover my game, and I hope someone on the forum knows it!

I have never really gotten into these games, are they fun?
I wanted to play it, but I don't have money for it, so does anyone have TEW 08 they don't use anymore I could use?

Also, go to where TEW is stored on the C drive, go to databases, the database you're using, savegames, backup.

Copy back up into main Save Game folder and voila!
