Beginning of MMA Reboot

Been playing this [and started a diary] and to touch on ISL, since they've gotten a TV show they haven't run a single show. They did run two in 1991 though. So not sure what that's related to.

Edit: Great mod though. Love the whole organic growth going.

i simmed all the way up to 2000 (from 1991) and then joined HILITE,
Alpha - 1 is top dog with ISL not that far behind. Emerald Fight, GAMMA and HILITE are all joint 3rd.

1) Hassan Fezzik 12-0: Current Alpha-1 Openweight Champ

2) Nathan Chambers 15-0-1: Current GAMMA Heavyweight Champion Yeah he decided early on about 1994 to fight at 234 pounds and never looked back, Just joined Alpha-1.

3) Noach Van Der Cappellen 14-2: Current Alpha-1 Welterweight champion, Has seen off Julio Reguro, Rufus Stephens and Josh Aldiasiro on his way to the top.

4) Jonathan Huang 9-0:Current ISL Light Heavyweight champion, has beaten Buddy Garner twice.

5) Li-Kong Ho 7-0: Current ISL Lightweight champion, 4 title defences and he's now mid international after 7 fights

I just realized I haven't dropped a word in this thread yet. I've been playing the mod (though somewhat personalized as I tend to do) for a while and am having a whole lot of fun. It's much cooler to witness the meteoric rise and utter domination by Hassan Fezzik first hand... Thanks a lot for the effort you've put into it!

Glad you're enjoying it! I have a v4 that I have been tweaking while I play out the original. Eventually I will release that (though no promises as to when). I am curious as to what changes you have made? I may incorporate some in v4...

I tweaked it so that ALPHA-1 and ISL would be the starting companies with GAMMA coming in a little later (as I always imagined it, because I believe that's the way it is in the default data) and to make that work I also had some Japanese fighters debut a little earlier so the rosters wouldn't be completely made up by Gaijins.

And I turned Robun Yamazaki into a slightly better fighter and a much bigger star from the get-go - again, simply because I always imagined him to be ALPHA-1's first big star.

Is it by design that none of the fighters have written profiles in this mod?

Also, is it best to have regeneration on or off for the first few years of this mod, while there are still fighters left to debut?

Yes. Much too much work to go back and re-write it for everyone.

I leave regens off until the fighter pool starts to decay. Many years down the road. Although, personal preference may dictate otherwise.

That's too bad. I find the game lacks a lot of flavour without the writeups.

A lot of them are generic enough that they wouldn't need to be rewritten, right? Or at least could just have certain things taken out, but leave the general stuff?


No easy way to add these back in my game, would there be ? I wish there was a way to just type into the profile field while in the game ... Would be much easier to add them this way rather than having to go into the editor to do so.
