Default BUSHIDO FC - The Warrior's Way!

BUSHIDO FC was founded in 2002 by Koji Tanaka and investor Shunpei Iwamiya. Since then they grew a lot, going from only 40 fans to over 20k fans at their New Year's Eve show.

This is the story of two warriors having a vision of being the worlds #1 MMA company...

Hey guys! A few days ago i published a little championship lineages round up of my BUSHIDO FC "road to glory" from being a local company to compete with the two powerhouses. So i thought it may be a good idea to do a dynasty after so many years after my last one with the UFC.

- It looked like a missmatch on paper, but young Owen Lewis managed to knock down Catskill with a wicked right head kick but was unable to finish the fight. That was the chance for the scottish to win and he did only a minute later with a Arm Triangle.

- After his loss against Spode in an Bantamweight championship fight Apolonio Redondo Jr. came back with a win over Zach Steggles. Redondo Jr. dominated the fight with the american, he lands a massive right hook out of a sudden flurry to Steggles jaw. Steggles jaw was broken by that shot, at the end of round two Steggles corner threw the towel.

- "The Carpenter" Evan Pizzarro is on a six fight win streak after a TKO victory over Dale Burke. Pizzarro was in completely control over the fight, nearly won with a Armbar in round one. Two big right hands leads to the TKO win.

- Razor close title defense for Sukarno! The indonesian won the first two rounds, but lost the following to former champion Manoel Cabral. It all came down the final fifth round in which the brazilian looks better, unfortunately the judges score the last round for the champion. BFC president Koji Tanaka wasn't happy with the judges in that one.

Bonus

KO Of The Night: Kihara vs. Hiraga

Main Card

W' Featherweight: Erin Distefano (14-1, 6-1 BFC) def. Jing Lung (11-3, 4-3 BFC) via TKO (Strikes) - Round 1, 2:18 [Great]
Bantamweight: Kawin Kayem (14-4, 4-1 BFC) def. Ryozo Ozawa (15-6, 5-4 BFC) via TKO (Strikes) - Round 2, 2:08 [Great]

Bantamweight: Takauji Aida (12-4, 12-3 BFC) def. Kameo Oya (10-5, 7-5 BFC) via Knock Out (Punch) - Round 3, 2:01 [Great]

- Only 26 years old, but dangerous as hell is Erin Distefano. The Queens, NYC based fighter dominated her last two fights and called out whoever may be the Featherweight champion after BUSHIDO 133. Distefano only lost one fight and that in a titlebout against current champion Piper Evergood.

- Speaking of champions. The first ever Bantamweight champion Ryozo Ozawa was stopped in round two by a right punch to the jaw, he wobbled and was finished on the ground. Kawin Kayem is undefeated since Feb 2006 and quiete interesting is, that he lost two fights years ago (2001 & 2003) to Ozawa in a different promotion.

- Upset alert! Austyn Turcotte was considered as the heavy underdog but did step up and finished Julio Gutierrez after a head kick with bombs on the ground. The frenchman is still undefeated!

- Two time Heavyweight champion Pai Cheng won in an unspectcular fight with englishman Bozzy Bintley. However Cheng recovered from his title eliminator fight with Morgan Wakarewarewa which he lost. With 12 wins at BUSHIDO he has the third most wins of the current BUSHIDO roster.

- Takauji "No Respect" Aida finished another man of his "victim list". The 25 years old is a big trash talker, he called out several opponents in his career so far and finished many of them. Just like Kameo Oya today! After a vicious head kick Aida dropped bombs on Oyas head to secure the win.

Bonus

Fight Of The Night: Aida vs. Oya
KO Of The Night: Aida vs. Oya
Submission Of The Night: Kawabata vs. Mushashibo

Post-Fight

Takauji Aida: "I'm not just talking, i'm a maker. I'm not afraid, give me Kawin Kayem. Don't matter, i'll knock him out."

Kameo Oya: "It wasn't my night. I never lost two fights in a row, so my next fight should be a win again."

Austyn Turcotte: "Julio is a tough opponent, but i was better today. I finished every opponent so far here at BUSHIDO. I will be the best Middleweight ever in this company."

Kawin Kayem: "I would love to fight a higher ranked fighter. I'm 5th now, so Alcala and Redondo would make sense."

Erin Distefano: "I think it's time for a second dance with Piper [Evergood]. I finished everybody in this weight class, so give me a titleshot"

EVERGOOD OUT OF BUSHIDO 133, KT VS. SHIMIZU IS THE NEW MAIN EVENT

BUSHIDO Women's Featherweight Champion Piper Evergood (17-3, 6-0 BFC) is out of the main event in Montreal, Canada. A ruptured spleen is the reason why Evergood has to pull out of her fight against former champ and countrywoman Idina Micklewhite (15-4, 3-2 BFC).

BUSHIDO was working for a replacement for the fight, unfortunately nobody was found. Erin Distefano (14-1, 6-1 BFC) and Idina Micklewhite will fight for a interim title in the near future.

- BUSHIDO debut? Check. First main card appereance? Check. One of the quickest wins in BFC history? Check. What a night for local matador Emanuele Moore. The former WEFF champ scored a lightning KO win over Shannon Palmer to start her BUSHIDO career.

- Former BUSHIDO Welterweight champion Chew Chua is still a finishing machine. The man from Singapore lands a perfect combination with left and right punches to send De La Torre onto the canvas.

- Also a former BUSHIDO champ is Atsutane Akera. Akera was on a two fight losing streak, but he managed to get a win here against a tough Kanchelskis. The russian punched Akera to a bloody mess, won the first round but was caught with a takedown and the rear naked choke by Akera was applied. Fjodor completely flatted out and was forced to tap.

- "The Flash" is still a world champion. KT and Shimizu had a exciting fight, which saw KT won two rounds and the japanese fighter won one round. In the fourth round Shimizu nailed a leg kick, KT countered with a head kick and Hanako was knocked out. 2-0 for KT against Shimizu!

- What a streak by Tiki Britton. Eight wins since his arrival, but his last finish was back in Nov' 2006. The Chicago native did a great job and earned a hard fought decision victory.

- Dissapointing fight by O'Flaherty, he ate heavy fists by Mattherson Jr. which was in a Mount position. The man from Puerto Rico managed to break his two fight losing streak.

- Seven fight win streak, Kei Maki! "Demon Eyes" lands with a right head kick to knock de Barros onto the canvas, but he could not finished the Brazilian. In the third round Maki nailed with a big right hand to destroy de Barros, the ref stopped the fight to late.

- Lermontov is a beast! The Russian got his second first round win for BUSHIDO, this time he choked Korekiyo Anzai out. Anzai leaved his back exposed, so it was quite easy for Fiyero to win.

- Total domination debut fight for Baboumian! The Iranian had absolutely no issues with Zachary Nobell, dominates him on the ground and in Stand-Up to gain an easy first win.

Bonus

Fight Of The Night: Lermontov vs. Anzai
Knock Out Of The Night: Santoro vs. Gunlaugsson

Baboumian: "It's good to win my debut fight here, looking forward to more."

Nobell: "It wasn't my night, i'm dissapointed in myself. Congrats to Bahman for his win."

Lermontov: "I'm happy with the bonus, but my big goal is to be a champion. I won titles in Europe, America and to win one in Japan would cement my legacy."

Maki: "The division is stacked, but i think i can do a lot there. Seven fight win streak, four first round finishes, six finished fights.."

Britton: "I need a top opponent asap."
