Default Help With PSD on Gimp

I don't this doesn't go here and I apologize for that. I posted this is the pound and hadn't gotten any help yet.

I had to get a new laptop because my last one completely died so I downloaded the new Gimp 2.0 and now I can't edit any PSD files for images for TEW or anything else. I've been looking for plug-ins but to no progress. Could someone point me in the right direction or is there a different program I could use like Gimp to edit my pictures? Or even a different way of going about it.

I new NGO's background to cut the pictures, but I can't cut anything right now since I can't get the PSD file(s) to work in the new Gimp.

If you're using ngo all you need is a 4 pixel stroke. I don't know anything about Gimp, but there should be a feature to do that.

If you tell me why you can't edit your files with gimp, i can help.

Using the programm every day.

PSD files are for Photoshop. but gimp should be able to open the files.
