Default Lone Star Wrestling - Rtg-lite Company

“Ladies and Gentleman, thank you for coming for this monumental occasion. As you all know I stepped away from the wrestling industry and wanted to spend the rest of my life relaxing on my farm with the family. But, well wrestling is in my blood and it kills me to sit on the sidelines and do nothing to give back to the wonderful sport that gave me and my family such a great life. With that said, I am happy to announce that starting in January I will be opening a training school. The Lone Star Wrestling Center here in the great state of Texas.”

At this annoucement the room erupted with chatter and hands reaching for the sky to ask a question.
“Okay, okay settle down I will field a few questions, you.”

“Thank you Mr. Faith, John with Dallas Star, so is this just a training school, or do you have plans to open a company?

“Haha, funny you should ask John. The second part of my announcement, some old friends and I have been talking and decided what good is a training school if I can’t give these kids a place to go after? I mean most of my connections are SWF, and while I am sure i could get some of those kids a try out with RIPW, I want these boys to succeed, not get lost int he shuffle. So with that said, starting April, The Lone Star Wrestling Center will launch Lone Star Wrestling. Stay up-to-date on all LSW news on our soon to launch, Facebook and Twitter accounts. The first date is still a ways off and I have plenty to plan for, but I can tell you its going to make a huge splash. Go ahead ma’am.” Pointing a a young reporter in the front row.
“Mr. Faith, Miranda with San Antonio Times, will you be using your old contacts to bring in big names?”
“Good question, you see I have decided that Lone Star Wrestling, at least for the time being, will strictly feature the boys that get their trainings from me, and some ole friends of mine that I will bring in from time to time. But the shows will only feature LSW born and bred talents. One more question, you in the blue”

“Thank you Mr. Faith, Grant with Houston News, when can we expect some announcements about the talent that you have signed?”

“Funny you should ask, I just got a text from my IT gal, our website LoneStarWrestling.com, Facebook and Twitter accounts will launch January 1st, 2016! Listen, it has been awesome and I know you guys got a lot of questions, but my time is running out. Please stay tuned for all the news and be sure to check out LoneStarWrestling.com, Facebook and Twitter next week for the starting rosters. While the boys will start trianing in January, as we approach April, more details surrounding our first event will be made available to the public. Thank you everybody!”

So this is my new attempt at writing a diary that I am invested in. I am have had a lot of fun creating the workers, and planning out some backstories for each. I want to thank Bison (for this concept from one of his old diaries), Historian (for his awesome diary, The Climb) and, Foolinc (NEO:It’s a long way to the top) for the inspiration for this diary. I have several wrestlers to debut in the future, however, I know I will need a new crop of talent again so if anybody would like to see their wrestler in the diary please feel free to PM me. Creation rules are RtG (if you don’t feel like doing the whole spread, just give me an overview please), gimmick, finisher (if possible), and size. While most of my workers will follow the RtG rules, some will eventually have more points in the future. Thank you everybody for reading this, and I aways appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.

Okay, so a quick bit about this diary. My plan is to see how far I can go with my crop of RtG characters. I have about 9 characters that are yet to debut, and my plan is to add more in the future, plus any graduates of my dojo. The future debuting workers will more than likely have a higher point total and no stat point cap. My current plan is to run 4 shows a month as "training" to justify the excessive shows, then starting in April I will run one actual event, and probably keep the weekly events but I am not sure.

I am going to do a monthly recap until the first event, instead of posting the "training" events. Again if anybody wants to submit a worker to be in the diary please send me a PM. Thank you!!

Well, month one is in the books and after a lot of intense training and making the boys work some matches against each other a lot has come out of it. First and foremost what was I thinking about announcing an event in April! These boys aren’t ready at all, if I didn’t hype the event, rent the venue, and equipment already I would cancel it. I can handle the bad PR, but it would take the boys morale. They are all green as grass and it aint a good thing. But, we will continue to move forward and I may need to bring in some old friends to help train the boys up some more. Some good did come out of this month, I mean the boys are steadily, albeit slowly, improving and putting on better matches, and they are all getting the hang of promos. I just don’t know what to expect but I guess only time will tell how this little venture will turn out. Either way, April is fast approaching and we got A LOT of work to do.
After month 1 here are the top 5 prospects so far
Top 5 Prospects:
T.L. Reed
Thomas Hamil
Monty Bradley
JT Styles
Logan Ambrose

Minor notes that were found during the month:
Logan and Thomas have great chemistry together
Cole and Thomas poor chemistry
Monty and Wesley poor chemistry
Sgt. and Butch poor chemistry

Quote:
Thank you Historian I look foward to your feedback. I am hoping by next week I will actually be running some events. Still unsure if I will continue the weekly "training events" after April. Probably not because it will feel too gamey, but we shall see.

What kind of weekly shows are you running? What kind of match ups? I'd be curious just to see the match ups from the weekly shows over the course of the month -- not for full write ups, I'm just curious to see what's being done on the training shows (which is a great concept, by the way, running weekly shows until your big event).

I was basically just putting each wrestler against each wrestling as my "training" events. It was to fish for chemistry and to help build up my workers. I mean all but one (I forgot I created him before and didn't fix his stats) are RtG createdso their stats are pretty crappy lol. It helped to run all those shows, and we are almost small already. Also I used it as a gamey way to help build up everybody's entertainment stats as they all participated in entertainment angles with Christian Faith during each show. I finally booked my first real event and will be moving forwad. Still not sure if I will continue the weekly events or not. For now I have them set to dormant, but I will see how things go after a few months.

Well, another month in the books and I still am kicking myself for opening my stupid mouth. Don't get me wrong, these boys are working their tales off, but most of them can't make a 16 minute match work. They are all slowly continuing to improve, and some of them are starting to stand out ahead of the pack, while others that I had high hopes for are not.

I have been bringing in some friends to watch some of the training matches, and we are getting decent feedback. I mean we cannot compete with anybody from the CoTT, and me and those guys don't really get along, with me helping SWF dominant for so long.

With February down I only got all of March and three weeks in April to get these boys ready for the real deal.

With the boys working so hard I did notice a few of them seem to really shine against each other. Thomas Hamil and T.L. Reed wrestled a great match together, both of whom I have hig hopes for. Also, Sgt. Eastwood and Cole Ryland really know how to play off each other.

As far as who has impressed me the most this month I would say my top 5 are:
Monty Brown
JT Styles
Wesley Orton
Dwayne Robinson
Thomas Hamil

I'm thinking I may start making some phone calls and see if I can bring in some outside boys who are more established to come on in, in April to let my boys wrestle some real wrestlers before their first big show...

I can't believe March is already over, I mean it feels like yesterday we were announcing the training school and promotion. I am feeling more confidant this month, while the boys arn't goin to be pulling no 5-Star matches off, I think they got a chance for something good. Fortunately our tickets are selling like hot cakes with already over a 2000 sold! I got the local area high school to let us use their gymnasium for the event. Our Facebook, Twitter and website are blowing up. I think we are going to pull this off.

This month will be a little different for the boys, I got some outside established talent coming in to work with each of my boys in a "real" match. Let's hope they get the feeling for what its like to really work.

We did find some good chemistry again this month in TL and Hector, and Cole and Butch. Unfortunately Sgt. Eastwood and Logan Ambrose just didn't mesh well.

My top 5 for this month, based on thier March performance:
Wesley Orton
Dwayne Robinson
Nicky Nelson
Jackson Lugar
Logan Ambrose

Man what a first half of the month. The boys did real good at working with the more estalbished stars, and are show is only a week away. Tickets are approaching 3000 now, which I hope we can make the fan happy. So some good came out of this month and some bad. Both Logan and Wesley got injured. Logan took a knee to the kidney, from Butch, and luckily the docs said it is simply bruised. However, Wesley took a bad bump after a botched back drop from TL and will be out for about a month, which means he will miss our first show! He was already booked for a match, so now I will have to figure out what the heck to do with his replacement. I got about a week to figure that out, which should be fun. Luckily I have had some more students sign up for the training school, but boy they are even more green then the current roster. Whatever, it is what it is. After talking to Sam Keith he suggested that I run a tournament to crown our first champ, so that is what we will start tonight. I decided to put off crowning a champ until June that way we can get some more training in to put on the best match possible.

Man what a show! I was really impressed with the boys! They went out there and put on a good show. I mean it was no SWF event, but for their first showing they did good. I made sure to really tell the boys how well they did, especially T.L., Thomas, and JT who put on the best performances of the night.

Unfortunately I had to remind the boys that the online dirtsheets may not be the most kind, because I may have created unrealistic expectations, but I think we are going to be getting a solid crowd. I mean I doubt we will be pulling over 3000 people again to the show, but it’s a start.

Being out there felt great, and according to the internet, everybody loved seeing me out there. I am a little bummed the most of the online focus is on me and not the boys. Oh well, it has been a while since I have been seen, I am sure they will eventually start talking more about my boys instead of me.

Well, now there is no time for rest, I need to continue to work with the boys and start advertising for the next show. Just want to make sure the match card is looking good for next month.

LSW Live
May Friday Week 2

Match 1: Thomas Hamil v. Dwayne Robinson
Match 2: JT Styles v. Logan Ambrose
Match 3: Monty Bradley v. Hector Lopez
Match 4: TL Reed v. Kassius Kain
