Default The Recklessverse (Hype)

The Recklessverse

Released: November 25, 2019

With DAVE on the brink of death, backyard wrestling is more popular than ever. Young high schoolers and aspiring wrestlers are creating promotions in their backyard to fill the gap, and Xtreme Danger Wrestling sits atop that mountain. XDW helped popularize backyard wrestling, with it's five stars being the most popular yardies in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, XDW might be closed by the end of the year, so it seems like another promotion will have to take their spot soon.

We've all heard the story about Xtreme Danger Wrestling. The hottest backyard wrestling federation in America, it held the five most popular backyard wrestlers in the world: Daredevil Aero, Extreme Deluxe, Fearless Blue, Super Sonic, and Xavier Reckless. However, we've never had the opportunity to play as them, or in the gritty, unsanctioned world of backyard wrestling.

The starting total of active wrestlers is 91. The mod will start out small, but will grow overtime. It will only involve America, and all other regions will be untouched. The start of the mod will be January 2007. Pictures used will come from free pictures, smw88, and other sources I don't remember.

Thanks to CreeperGav, who did a lot of the grunt work for this mod and has effectively made this mod possible to release in a playable condition.

For popularity, a workers don't have much popularity except in one region. Their popularity in the rest of the country depends on how popular they're getting from tape trading. As an example, Xavier Reckless is the most popular worker in the database, and has 15% in all USA regions (except Puerto Rico and Hawaii), and 23% in the southwest. Someone like Austin Hill has 4% in the rest of the country, and 8% in the southwest.

Didn't know what to call it. Couldn't think of who the best worker is, and didn't want to call it the Dangerverse, so I went with Xavier Reckless' name, since he's the owner of XDW.

Work has admittedly slacked off on the mod over the last few months, but no longer. Starting September 1st, I'll go hard to work on the mod, and will hopefully get it finished by the end of November.

To summarize what's currently made, there are 2 teams, 3 companies, 32 workers, 2 events, 1 location, 4 titles, and 2 narratives. I sincerely want to make this mod great, so that people can enjoy playing the backyard wrestling scene in the CVerse in 2007, even if TEW isn't meant to simulate local indie companies, let alone backyard federations.

The next entry will be on September 5th, followed by an entry every two days afterwards.

CCW's Roster

The Assassins

Raul & Rico Molina are known within CCW as The Assassins. Outside of the company, the two are known as The Molina Brothers. The two are 17 and 19 years old respectively, and have been wrestling fans for their entire lives. Debuting in January 2004 for CCW as The Assassins, Raul is Assassin #1 and Rico is Assassin #2. A fair enough team, the two are the current CCW Duos Champions. Despite being the eldest and the more talented of the two, Rico isn't considered the more popular brother. There are rumors Rico might end his wrestling career soon, but as of now, the two continue to work for CCW.
Dennis Crumpton

Referee Dennis Crumpton is the 19 year old unbiased official for CCW. A fairly bland looking guy, Crumpton was offered the job knowing nothing about wrestling and he took it so he could kill some time. Outside of wrestling, Crumpton works at a grocery store.
El Chico Azul
El Chico Azul (The Blue Boy) is a popular yardie working in CCW. Starting his career out in XDW, Azul wasn't liked by the crowd there despite having a lot of lovable traits. Azul left XDW in July 2004 in a mutual agreement, and quickly went to work for CCW. The crowd responded well to him, and he's now the company's best rising babyface. As the new year begins, Azul looks to finally get a title reign in backyard wrestling.
Tiger Boy
"The Tiger Of The Beach" Tiger Boy is a young luchador working for CCW. A true fan of lucha libre wrestling, Tiger Boy spent his youth watching OLLIE and his two heroes Marcos Flores & Nicolas Lopez. When CCW opened, he was the first person to get work there, and has been a crowd favorite since day one. The current CCW Daredevil Champion looks to make his debut in pro wrestling when he's 18, but for now will continue wowing crowds for CCW.
The next post will be on October 8, 2019.

Insane Clown Wrestling

Formed by the Crazy Midget Clown Klan, Insane Clown Wrestling is considered more of an "urban promotion" rather than a backyard promotion. Hosting their shows in New York City, ICW is the home of all inconceivable weapons and blood and guts. When CMCK saw how popular XDW was becoming, they wanted to get a piece of the action. While they've gained their own cult following, all of their fans are fans of CMCK, who are the only reason they're attending the shows. Called obscene by parents and cool by young people, ICW looks to not lose their following anytime soon.

*Opened: November 2003
*Location: New York, New York
*Money: $10,000
*Popularity: 8% (Tri-State), 5% (New England), 4% (Southwest), 1% (Rest of USA, except Puerto Rico & Hawaii)

ICW Clown King Champion: Brimstone (since January 2005)

ICW's Roster

Crazy Midget Clown Klan

The pair of shockjock radio hosts, Hustler D & Joker The Pimp are known in New York for their shocking radio show and repulsive language. The two have been longtime wrestling fans, and when backyard wrestling's popularity began to increase during the East Coast Wars, they realized their might be some money in it for them. When XDW increased the popularity of backyard wrestling, the Crazy Midget Clown Klan had to follow. They formed Insane Clown Wrestling in November 2003, and have turned the company into something of a cult hit among tape traders. The undisputed #2 in the backyard wrestling scene, ICW might not be able to take XDW's spot on top if they can't capture audience's imaginations outside of New York.

SoCal Elite

Hailing from southern California, SoCal Elite is a stable that consists of the dancer Ali X, the gangster Lil' Curtis, and the rapper Pot Lucky. Debuting in backyard wrestling in 2003 on XDW's roster, the trio were a hit with the fans, but never won a title in the company. After a dispute backstage with the three accusing Xavier Reckless of favoring himself and his friends, SoCal Elite left California in December 2006 and traveled to New York to work for XDW's rivals, ICW. They're set to debut at the start of 2007. Many people don't know that behind the scenes, 20 year old Lil' Curtis is the legal guardian of his 16 year old partners. The two don't know who their parents are, and Curtis is the legal guardian of both of them. This has made the trio close, and might help them once they make it into the world of pro wrestling.

Mysterious, crazy, and downright terrifying, Brimstone is the hooded yardie who is known for his work in ICW. Debuting on their first show, he soon made an impact as the baddest guy on the roster. Willing to peform crazy high-flying dives and take crazy bumps, Brimstone set himself apart in a unique way and is a hit with tape traders. He won the first King Of The Clowns tournament in 2004, and won the Clown King Championship from Big Bone two months later. Undefeated in the company, Brimstone is rumored to have some pro wrestling companies such as DAVE monitoring his progress. Unfortunately for him, he might need to learn how to not injure his opponents, as he recently injured Black Knight and nearly injured Big bone in their first match.

ICW's Roster

Big Bone

"The Baddest Man In Town" Big Bone is the primary heel of ICW and their answer to Xavier Reckless. Born and raised in New York, Big Bone is a very street smart person who can survive even the toughest conditions. The 20 year old brawler was the inaugural ICW Clown King Champion and was the 2005 King Of The Clowns winner. Though he failed to win back his title from Brimstone, he's still among the most popular workers on the roster.
Armando Miguel

Born in Mexico, but raised in Los Angeles, Armando "Mad Dog" Miguel is a 21 year old yardie known primarily in the southwest and the tri-state regions. Debuting in March 2003 for XDW, Miguel made a name for himself big destroying anyone and everyone in his path. However, he wouldn't win any titles in the company, and blamed the Dangerous Five. He left in August 2005 and traveled to New York, debuting for ICW. He formed an alliance with Big Bone, and they ran through the roster of ICW. In November 2006, he betrayed Big Bone, costing him the 2006 King Of The Clowns tournament. With Big Bone after him, Miguel looks to chew him up like a mad dog and end the year as the Clown King Champion.
Black Knight

"The Knightmare" Black Knight is a yardie known in New York as a crazy teen willing to jump off of anything. Born in Vermont, but raised in New York, Black Knight is a fan of the high flying style of wrestling, Entertaining kids on the playground in elementary school, Knight would soon move up a level when he started working with ICW. He was their inaugural ICW Jester Champion, and began moving up the ranks when he lost the title. He would become the natural enemy of Brimstone in 2005, and Knight would win the King Of The Clowns tournament in 2006, resulting in a title match. They fought in December 2006, and in the match Knight broke his arm following a botched move by Brimstone. On the mend, Knight looks to return better than ever soon.

ICW's Roster

Dirty Darryl

"The Dirtiest Player" Dirty Darryl takes his ringname very seriously. Entering wearing a trashbag like it's a jacket and using paper bags for boots, Dirty Darryl has been a dirtbag for the last 3 years. Debuting in ICW on his 12th birthday, Dirty Darryl has established himself as a good heel. He's yet to win a title in the company, but many think it won't be long before he wins the ICW Jester Championship.
Harlem Hater

Harlem's own Harlem Hater is a yardie working for ICW. Growing up in Harlem, Hater would learn to be tough from a young age and is actually a good athlete. Hater is an amateur wrestler and is among the top ranked high school amateur wrestlers in the state, and looks to go to college on a wrestling scholarship. Working as a yardie as a semi-pastime, he also likes pro wrestling and could have a career in amateur wrestling or pro wrestling if he ever decides to.
Lucas Danger

"Punk Rock" Lucas Danger is a very young yardie from the Bronx. Only 12, Danger has worked for ICW since March 2006 and has already shown himself to be a risk taking individual. Debuting in September 2005 and claiming to be 13 to work in random people's backyards, Joker The Pimp spotted him performing once and he soon found himself in ICW's crazy roster. Like other yardies, he covers his lack of technique with flashy moves. Lately, rumors have spread that he's begun to use drugs due to the bad influence of ICW's locker room, though it hasn't been proven.

"The Punk Of New York" Vendetta is a unique worker. Coming out with a futuristic punk look made up of face paint, a jet-black mohawk, fake tattoos, and a long custom made leather jacket, the 14 year old looks like a future star. Upon debuting for ICW in 2003 he became the resident midcarder, and is a former ICW Jester Champion. However, he's a sloppy, generic hardcore worker, but ICW doesn't care about that or his age, so he can fight there all he wants.
