This makes me want to dump my Calgary Championship Wrestling (TVerse) save and jump back into CVerse and give CGC a try.

Like, more than a little bit.

Live from Kelowna, British Columbia...
Broadcast via Maple Leaf Sports at Early Evening...
CGC presents...

Quote:

CGC TITLE BOUT WRESTLING!
Quote:
[CGC Title Bout Wrestling begins with Davis Ditterich and Adrian Garcia welcoming everyone to the show. Jack DeColt makes his way down to the ring to a loud ovation from the crowd here in Kelowna. He steps in the ring and raises the CGC World title belt to more cheers from this audience. He shows it to all four sides and then is handed a microphone.]

Jack DeColt
"Hello everyone and welcome to CGC Title Bout Wrestling! It is great to be here in Kelowna where tonight I defend this title against the man who has been making trouble for my brother: Thrill Seeker. Thrill, if I may call you that, tonight you are going to go one on one with the best in the business. The reason that I am the best in this business is that I hold this title belt and no one can take that away from me. That includes you and that includes Gargantuan, who thinks he can take this title belt away from me."

[Jack raises the title belt up high again and he is interrupted by the music for Thrill Seeker. Jack's opponent tonight walks out from the back with a look of arrogance on his face. The toned lightweight walks right down to the ring and steps inside, going face-to-face with Jack DeColt. Thrill Seeker is handed a microphone and takes a step back from Jack.]

Thrill Seeker
"Jack DeColt. Just another member of a family that takes everything from this company. You may think that you're special because you hold that belt but you're only keeping it warm for me to take tonight. Tonight, you are going to fall victim to the Daredevil Drop and I am going to walk away the brand new CGC World Champion. You will not be able to hide behind your fancy name when the two of us are in the ring together. As a matter of fact, you can't hide from anything."

[Thrill Seeker keeps Jack DeColt occupied while Gargantuan enters the ring. Gargantuan grabs DeColt and lays in a headbutt, slamming him down on the mat. Gargantuan picks up DeColt and brings him down in a body slam before Thrill Seeker climbs to the top turnbuckle. With Gargantuan holding down DeColt, Thrill Seeker leaps and catches DeColt with a frog splash. DeColt grabs his ribs, rolling back and forth on the mat in pain. Thrill Seeker and Gargantuan stand tall. Seeker tells DeColt that he will see him later tonight.]
COMING TONIGHT!

Match #1
Quote:

Ryan Powell vs. Ricky DeColt

[In a decent match, Ricky DeColt defeated Ryan Powell in 10:02 by pinfall with a DeColt 45.]

Winner: Ricky DeColt
Match Rating: B-
Quote:
[The scene cuts to the backstage area where we see Hailey Hunter standing by with Donte Dunn, Bobby Thomas and Alan Parent. Hunter looks to the camera and says that in just a few weeks this is going to be her team going into CGC Elimination to take on Blockbuster, Brett Fraser and Ryan Powell. She talks about this being one of her favorite times of the year. This is when we see people teaming together and getting teamwork wins against the top competition. She says that her man, Donte Dunn, will prove to the world that he deserves another shot against Blockbuster when he pins Blockbuster on this night. She promises a victory at Elimination while the three men stand around in the background. From there, it's time to see Donte Dunn in action.]
Match #2
Quote:

Chucky Dorrance vs. Donte Dunn

[In an extremely short match, Donte Dunn defeated Chucky Dorrance in 3:57 by pinfall with a Sunny Daze.]

Winner: Donte Dunn
Match Rating: D
Quote:
[From the ring, we move to the backstage office area of the CGC Owner Alex DeColt. DeColt says that he hopes that everyone is having a great time tonight as we ring in the new year here in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada! He says that tonight's main event should be a great one where we see his brother, Jack DeColt, defend the CGC World title against Thrill Seeker. But he is here right now to inform everyone about next week. Next week, right here on CGC Title Bout Wrestling, we are going to see a tag team match where Jack and Ricky DeColt step in the ring to take on Gargantuan and Thrill Seeker! This is a match that will help revolutionize the face of professional wrestling. He says that Canadian Golden Combat is going to become the new number one promotion in the business. That starts this year, 2016, and that will begin with the best way to kick things off. That best way is CGC Elimination where there will be matches featuring teams of three in elimination style competition. DeColt sends us back to the ring for our next contest.]
Match #3
Quote:

Whippy The Clown vs. Drake Young

[In an extremely short match, Whippy The Clown defeated Drake Young in 3:36 by pinfall with a Joke's On You.]

Winner: Whippy The Clown
Match Rating: C-
Quote:
[Following the victory by Whippy The Clown, we move to the backstage area where we see The Dirty White Boys each seated on their motorcycles. Grease Hogg looks up in the camera and talks about how long they've been wrestling, not just in Canada, but all over the world. He says that the two of them have been teammates for over ten years now and they've wrestled in the best promotions. They've driven their motorcycles down in the United States and now they are driving through the competition here in Canada and that will include the Soldiers Of Fortune tonight. He says that they are two time CGC World Tag Team Champions but after tonight they will be on their way to driving ahead as the three time CGC World Tag Team Champions. Lead Belly revs his engine and The Dirty White Boys drive away as we move back to the ring for our last match of the first hour.]
Match #4
Quote:

Gargantuan vs. Intrepid Ian Identity

[In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Gargantuan defeated Intrepid Ian Identity in 9:34 by pinfall with an Ultimate Backbreaker.]

Winner: Gargantuan
Match Rating: C-
Quote:
[To begin the second hour, we are taken to a backstage area where Joey Poison is seated on the hard concrete floor. His back is pressed against a large metal door. Seated in his lap but slightly to the side is Faith, his manager. He slowly looks up into the camera and scowls. He says that they are just a few weeks away from CGC Elimination where he's going to team with Prometheus and Whippy The Clown to battle Drake Young, Skip Beau and whoever they have on their team. Live on pay-per-view he promises to inject poison into the veins of those opponents. He says that he feels their pain. He understands who they are and what they need. What they need is an injection of the poison that only he can provide. That is what CGC is going to feel in the coming year of 2016. He tells Prometheus and Whippy The Clown that he can be their best friend or their worst enemy on that night. But either way he is going to lead their team to victory because that is what he does. That is who he is. He is the poison in professional wrestling and the sport is about to get an injection. He wraps his arms around Faith and pulls her in closer before the cameras fade to black and we head back to the ring.]
Match #5
Quote:

The New Soldiers Of Fortune vs. The Dirty White Boys

[In a poor match, The Dirty White Boys defeated The New Soldiers Of Fortune in 9:53 when Grease Hogg defeated Fate by pinfall with a Full Throttle.]

Winners: The Dirty White Boys
Match Rating: D+
Quote:

[The bell sounds and The Dirty White Boys are victorious. Grease Hogg and Lead Belly get their hands raised before they are assaulted from behind by the CGC World Tag Team Champions, The Predators! 'The Black Dog' Nathan Black strikes Grease Hogg with the belt from behind before grabbing him and hitting him with a lung blower. Hogg rolls in pain on the mat as Warren Technique assaults Lead Belly. Technique brings Lead Belly to the mat and locks in the STF. Nathan Black lifts Grease Hogg and catches him with the Black Dog Down, a slingshot suplex. The Predators release The Dirty White Boys and head outside the ring. Black reaches under the ring and pulls out a couple of metal pipes. He tosses one to Warren Technique and they go to work on The Dirty White Boys' motorcycles! They begin smashing those motorcycles with the pipes before referees fill the ringside area, pulling them away from the motorcycles. Davis Ditterich says we have another disturbance backstage.]
Quote:

[That disturbance backstage is a brawl pitting Blockbuster against Donte Dunn with Hailey Hunter looking on in the background. The 6'5" Blockbuster begins raining down heavy hitting punches on Dunn, who is trying to protect himself for a moment. 'The Barbadian Barbarian' moves in, wrapping his arms around Blockbuster. He shows off his power by wrapping his arms around Blockbuster and twisting, throwing Blockbuster over a merchandise table to the floor below. Dunn grabs the table and throws it to the side, going after Blockbuster. Blockbuster pulls himself up as Dunn gets near, quickly drawing knees into the ribs of Donte Dunn. Hunter screams piercing screams in the background, drawing the attention of Blockbuster. This allows Dunn to grab Blockbuster and bring him up and down with a body slam! Dunn looks down at Blockbuster and Hunter steps in beside him. In the background, there's a ring of fans around them. One fan raises a sign reading: 'Cause he's bar-BAD-ian, you know it!' The officials from earlier step in, separating the two men and it's time for our main event contest.]
Match #6
Quote:

CGC World Title Match
Jack DeColt defends vs. Thrill Seeker

[Our main event should be a great one as Jack DeColt steps into the ring to defend his CGC World title against Thrill Seeker. Thrill Seeker is the first man in the ring and he leans back against the ropes. Then the crowd roars their approval as out comes Jack DeColt. The CGC World Heavyweight Champion raises the title belt high in the air at the top of the ramp before descending toward the ring. He high fives fans in the front row on his way down to the ring. He gets to the ringside area and Thrill Seeker goes flying over the top rope with a cannonball dive, bringing DeColt down on the mat. Seeker grabs DeColt by the hair and runs him face-first into the ring post. He tosses DeColt back in the ring and goes back inside where the bell rings. Seeker makes a cover: One, Two, Kickout! Seeker picks up DeColt and runs him into the corner. He lays into DeColt with a chop to the chest and then drags him out, bringing him up and over with a vertical suplex to the mat. Seeker stands and walks over to the ropes, yelling at the fans in the front row. The fans yell back their disapproval of Thrill Seeker but he ignores them, choosing to return his attention to the CGC World Champion. Seeker picks up DeColt and DeColt begins throwing punches to the ribs of Seeker. DeColt shoves Seeker back in the corner and hits the DeColt Thrust to the throat, stunning the challenger. DeColt lifts Seeker up on the top turnbuckle and then climbs up with him. He hooks Seeker -- Superplex! The Superplex connects and DeColt rolls over, rolling Thrill Seeker into a small package:]

[....1....

....2....

...Kickout!]

[A big kickout by the challenger! We move forward to around eleven minutes into the match where Thrill Seeker has regained control of the match. The action has moved outside the ring where Seeker rams DeColt ribs first into the ring apron. Thrill Seeker has turned his attention to the ribs of DeColt, running DeColt into the apron again and then into the barricade. Seeker grabs a sign from the crowd that reads: 'I liked the Soldiers of Fortune before they were new' and rips up the sign, tossing it to the side. He jaws with a fan before tossing Decolt inside the ring. He heads to the top rope and takes flight, catching DeColt with a frog splash before making another cover: One, Two, Kickout! We very nearly had a brand new CGC World Champion! Thrill Seeker gets to his feet and pulls up DeColt. He Irish whips DeColt into a corner and then goes for a springboard elbow but instead crashes into the boot of DeColt! Seeker bounces backward and DeColt catches him with a clothesline, sending them both down to the mat. The referee begins a ten count on both men and the crowd begins a 'DeColt' chant, trying to power him up. Thrill Seeker gets to his feet first and moves in, throwing punches to DeColt, who is on his knees. DeColt gets a surge of adrenaline and begins throwing punches back to Thrill Seeker! DeColt whips Seeker to the ropes -- Seeker comes back with a cross body -- caught by DeColt! DeColt brings him down with a backbreaker. He begins a focus on the back of Thrill Seeker before hitting him with a double underhook power bomb. DeColt grabs Seeker and locks in the End Of Days, the bow and arrow lock with an inverted sleeper! Seeker struggles in the hold, trying not to give up but he eventually is forced to tap.]

Winner: Jack DeColt
Match Rating: C
Quote:
[Jack DeColt has picked up a big victory this evening against Thrill Seeker! He releases the hold after a moment and then is handed the CGC World Heavyweight title belt by the official. He stands tall in the center of the ring and begins a celebration with the fans. He climbs to the second turnbuckle and raises the title belt. Then, he asks for and is given a microphone. He looks down at Thrill Seeker and tells him that the match is over and the night is nearly over. He says that it's time for Thrill Seeker to produce his mystery partner for the CGC Elimination match. Thrill Seeker remains down on the mat and in obvious pain. Then some music begins and it's music that none of us have heard in a very long time. The look on Jack DeColt's face is absolutely priceless. He has this extreme look of shock on his face as he slowly turns to look toward the ramp.]

[Down the ramp comes a man who has not been seen in CGC in seven years. This man became an outsider in NOTBPW and is now coming home to his family. Steve DeColt walks out to a big ovation from this audience here in Kelowna. A sign in the background reads: 'NOTBPW!' Steve walks a power walk down the ramp and then enters the ring, going face-to-face with his brother. Jack drops the title belt on the mat and opens his arms to his brother. Steve steps in and returns the hug. The crowd goes crazy! Steve takes a step back and raises his brother's arm. He leans down and picks up the CGC World title belt. He hands it to his brother and then turns his eyes toward Thrill Seeker, who is laying on the mat. Steve stares at Thrill Seeker and then turns, striking Jack with a clothesline! The crowd is in shock as Steve DeColt puts the boots to his brother. Steve grabs the fallen microphone and declares that he is the mystery partner for Thrill Seeker and Gargantuan! Steve picks up Jack and drops him with the DeColt Stampede, a running bulldog. Steve looks down at Jack but here comes Ricky DeColt! Ricky rushes toward the ring and Steve quickly escapes and backs away from the ring. Steve and Ricky stare at each other as the show comes to a close. Davis Ditterich reminds everyone that we will be back here next week! We'll see you there!]

Always great to count you in, my friend. Thanks for the predictions! Hopefully, things will move just a little bit faster. But I am looking forward to what's coming soon.

Comments: Does Steve have a grudge against Ricky? Putting him in a curtain jerker with a washed-up jobber seems really mean.

Comments: I'm going to predict that this will be the only match that does better than a C.
Hey Poputt! Thanks for the comments and predictions. As we all know, Alex DeColt is an alcoholic. And I've, maybe, been to a Tim Horton's once or twice. LOL. As far as Zeus goes, he will definitely be making an appearance soon.

It's ironic that Ricky had the match of the night against the washed up jobber, while Jack didn't have any chemistry with Thrill Seeker and it definitely had an effect on his match.

Hey Justin. CGC is definitely an interesting promotion. It seems like the best one outside of the main promotions with which for me to work. You're welcome to give it a try and I would be glad to see another CGC diary go up.

[Tonight, the show panned out just the way that I wanted it to. I was able to come out and shock the crowd with my attack on my brother and now it is time to move forward and see what is going to come next. Following the event, I headed back to my office for some well-deserved coffee when there was a knock at the door. My head lifted and I told the person on the other side to come in. I was a little surprised to see Shane Nelson walk in. Nelson had worked a dark match against Dan DaLay before the show got started. It was a decently worked match, about average for the card.]

Steve DeColt
"Hey Shane. Good match tonight. What's on your mind?"

Shane Nelson
"Thanks, Mr. DeColt. I guess I should start calling you that, now, huh? Anyway, I know you haven't been around the company for some time now so I thought I would fill you in on one wrestler in particular that has been giving the boys some trouble. Alan Parent really needs to learn how to sell in a match. He's been here since 2013 and he still cannot put in a decent match. I'd say he either needs to learn to work or get shipped off to Okanagan Lake where he can learn to sell against Ogopogo."

[That was a little much coming from Shane but at the same time he is a veteran that has been here for many years. When someone like that who would seemingly have Alex's ear and probably the ears of the boys in the back says something you have to take it seriously.]

Steve DeColt
"Thanks for the heads up, Shane. I will definitely look into that as I get settled in here with this job and my brothers. We're about to get the card together for next week. Right now, I have you in another dark match. This one, a triple threat, where you will be facing Ryan Powell and Chuck Dorrance. But, as I'm sure you know, you will be on the main card for CGC Elimination. But I'll definitely keep you and Alan apart for now."

Shane Nelson
"Thanks. Just make sure you teach him a thing or two. Oh and congratulations on getting the job and coming back to the big leagues."

Steve DeColt
"Glad to be here."

[As I watched Shane exit, I knew that there were going to be some troubles between him and Alan. But it's nothing that I feel I cannot handle in the future. If worse comes to worse, Shane is definitely the one that I will be siding with. One good thing about being in BC, though, is that I get to see the Canucks. Time to get cleaned up and head for a TV.]

[Warning: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!]

[It has been over a week now since I returned to Canadian Golden Combat and became the new head booker and wrestler in my brother's promotion. I think my first show went well but now it's time to meet with Alex DeColt, the owner of the company. The meeting takes place within my brother's home inside his office. I moved inside and shook my brother's hand before he sat down behind his large desk. I watched with an almost imperceptible shake of my head as he poured himself a glass of beer at 10 o'clock in the morning. It is well-known amongst my family that Alex has always had a problem with alcohol. But in this business it could definitely be worse, right?]

Alex DeColt
"So, what do you think about that?"

[Oops. I should probably be listening to what he's saying instead of in my own head, huh?]

Steve DeColt
"I was miles away, Alex. What did you say?"

Alex DeColt
"I know we talked before about you getting the next title shot against Jack but I think we need to wrap things up with Gargantuan first. So I am proposing that they meet inside a steel cage at Luck Of The Draw to finish up their feud before he faces you. I can see him not wanting to step into the ring with his brother. I think this would be consistent with his character."

Steve DeColt
"I'm fine with that. But then we move to the next question, who am I going to step into a feud with during the interim?"

Alex DeColt
"I really think a feud with you and Ricky could do well here. He has been working hard and becoming a much better wrestler. I think you could definitely teach him a thing or two in the ring. He could also teach you a thing or two about loyalty to his brothers both in and out of the ring."

[Okay. That was a hard one to hear. I couldn't help wincing at the shot taken by Alex. But I had to know that something like that would eventually come, right?]

Steve DeColt
"Alright, I understand. I also wanted to let you know that I took the liberty of making a signing for this company. The man I was able to get is a former SWF wrestler and former two time SWF Shooting Star Champion. I think he could do well in this company if he doesn't let his prior bad habits ruin what he can do in the ring."

Alex DeColt
"So, get on with it, who did you get for MY company?"

Steve DeColt
"Marc DuBois."

[I took a moment to let that sink in with my brother. Hopefully, DuBois will get back on the right track with this company. Only time will tell.]

NEWS: CGC TITLE BOUT WRESTLING PREDICTIONS!

We are less than a week away from CGC Elimination, which will take place in the Ottawa Rams Stadium in the capital city of Canada Ottawa Ontario. Tonight, though, the action will take place inside the Regina Rec Center in Regina Saskatchewan. What action we have for you this evening. It will include the big return of Steve DeColt in action. Last week, he definitely made a big impact in his return when he betrayed his brother, Jack DeColt, laying Jack out in the ring. This week, Christian Price has vowed to get a measure of revenge for the other members of the DeColt family when he goes one on one with The Black Sheep of the DeColt family. Make sure you tune in to the beginning of the show because we have heard that Steve will be opening the show to explain the reasons behind his return and attack of his brother.

Speaking of Jack DeColt, he will have his hands full in the ring when he teams with brother Ricky DeColt to take on Gargantuan and Thrill Seeker! Gargantuan has been feuding with Jack DeColt ever since Jack took the CGC World title from the large Super Heavyweight. Alex DeColt has, exclusively, told us that this match will also count toward the best of seven series between Ricky DeColt and Thrill Seeker. Right now they are tied at one match apiece. Which man can take the lead in this tag team contest? Will Jack and Ricky be distracted by the return of their brother? You definitely cannot be distracted when taking on two men such as Gargantuan and Thrill Seeker. Will that lead to the victory, though? Make sure you tune in and find out!

In other action, we are going to have a preview of sorts of CGC Elimination when four tag teams go at it in eight man tag action. On one side, we have the CGC World Tag Team Champions The Predators teaming with The Montreal Mafia. On the other side, the number one contenders, The Dirty White Boys, will be teaming with Zeus Maxmillion and Stevie Grayson. All eight of these men will be looking for momentum heading toward CGC Elimination. At the pay-per-view, The Predators will team with Dan DaLay to take on The Dirty White Boys and Christian Price. Also, The Montreal Mafia will team with Antonio Del Veccio to take on Zeus Maxmillion, Stevie Grayson and Shane Nelson. Which side will take momentum into CGC Elimination?

Plus Dan DaLay takes on Drake Young, Blockbuster faces Alan Parent, Skip Beau and Drake Young reveal their tag team partner that will join them at CGC Elimination against Whippy The Clown, Prometheus and Joey Poison and more right here on CGC Title Bout Wrestling!

[It has been a very long time since I have been here. Here is the House Of Stone Dojo. This is the place that has trained such men as Johnny Bloodstone, Owen Love, Art Reed, Bobby Thomas, among others. It's the place that I used to train when I worked for North of the Border Pro Wrestling. It is exactly how other people describe it. There are no frills. There's just a few machines, some weights, a ring and a lot of men working out. One of those men is inside that ring right now. He's a man that made the decision to retire and come here to be the head trainer. That man is Dan Stone, Jr.. He's the 43 year old ICON that beat me in his very last match in NOTBPW. He is busy training some nameless recruit, so I made my way to his office and took a seat in front of his desk.]

[After around ten minutes of waiting, I stood up as he stepped into the office. I offered a hand and we shook hands before he sat down in his chair. I sat down when he did and looked across at him.]

Steve DeColt
"Hey Dan. It's good to see you wrestling out there. Is the training going well?"

Dan Stone, Jr.
"Yeah, it is, Steve. Now, what are you doing here? Spying on the enemy?"

Steve DeColt
"Don't be like that, Dan. You know how much family means to me and how much family means to you. It's the most important thing in the world. I am just now getting my brothers back to talking with me. I had a great run here and I am thankful to you and to Jeremy and to everyone else that worked with me here. It was definitely a different experience. It wasn't something that I would change from my life."

Dan Stone, Jr.
"That still doesn't answer my question, Steve. What are you doing here? I am sure that you're going to start doing your training at the DeColt Power House. So, what do you need from us Stone boys?"

Steve DeColt
"It's very simple, Dan. I can see that you're still in shape. You still have that technical wrestling edge. You are a trainer here but I know that you know the feeling of having fans watching you. I know you tell everyone that you're happy here. That you're happy just training the future wrestlers of NOTBPW. But I want to make you the same offer that you made me years ago. You were the one that came to me and said that NOTBPW would be perfect for me and it was at the time. I want to make you the same offer to come and face off with the DeColts. I am making you the offer to become the newest member of Canadian Golden Combat."

[I knew that I would receive what I did and that was a very shocked look on the face of Dan Stone, Jr. But I had to come and I had to make this offer. If I can get him to accept it and return to wrestling in CGC? It will be the biggest thing in Canada since I joined NOTBPW.]
