Default New Japan Pro Wrestling - The Global Expansion

New Japan Pro Wrestling is widely regarded by many as the best in ring pro wrestling company in the world in 2017 with praise as high as calling their year one of, if not the best, of any company ever and it's only half way done. With the end of the G1 Climax last night resulting in Tetsuya Naito winning the right to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at the companies year opening extravaganza, Wrestle Kingdom, for the second time. Follow along as Takaaki Kidani pushes forward into new waters and aims to expand into a global brand as recognisable as the evil empire of New York.

I've tried a few times to get into a New Japan save but I always struggle, hope you have more success than I have.

Also the G1 was brilliant and I feel like they're in a great place right now, which should help you.

Best of luck, I'll be following!

A) These graphics look awesome.

B) I greatly appreciated that you whited-out the finish of the G1. I first opened this thread before I started watching the final show, and would've been seriously bummed out if I'd accidentally been spoiled. Bad enough that I got spoiled on the Okada/Omega III finish when I was browsing Facebook at work that morning.

I'll definitely be checking this one out!

Very excited to see someone else's take! Now that G1 wrapped up I'm going to be starting a new game as well, so it will be really cool to see where our booking differs. Looking forward to reading along.

G1 Finals Spoiler Warning

So, the plan is to hold 1 or 2 'Road to' shows which I'll just post results for while the bigger shows will have a full write up with pictures to make everything look pretty, if the show would air on NJPWWORLD it'll be done. I've already played through Wrestle Kingdom so for now I'll post the Road to results at the same time as the big show predictions post just to speed things up, if I get to a point where I'm at a similar time posting shows to playing them I'll change it.

NJPW Destruction in Fukushima Card
IC Title - Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Zack Sabre Jr
G1 Title Defence - Tetsuya Naito vs Bad Luck Fale
NEVER 6-Man - BUSHI, EVIL & SANADA vs Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks

Will Ospreay, YOSHI-HASHI, Jado & Gedo vs Jushin Liger, Manabu Nakanishi, Tiger Mask IV & David Finlay

I'm 3/3 on getting 6 out of the 8 right on predictions so I'm just going to start calling it "The Rainmaker Special".
