Pro Wrestling NOAH is having a tremendous month as not a single show dropped into the average range before its one year Anniversary show Accomplish Our First Navigation 2001

Much of the upcoming show is focused on what could be the future Stars of Pro Wrestling NOAH. with the Main Event being Mitsuharu Misawa the GHC Heavyweight Champion against 23 Year Old Takeshi Morishima. we will be seeing for the first time the GHC Junior Heavyweight Title defended when 22 Year Old Naomichi Marufuji challenges the 25 Year Old Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Title. It Seems Pro Wrestling NOAH is looking to build up new stars into the 2000s. Weve also gotten word that a rematch is set between Yoshinari Ogawa and Jun Akiyama that happened at the latest TV taping. the proposed Co Main Event is set to be Yoshihiro Takayama vs Akira Taue, Two Members of The Holy Demon Army facing off with the Winner getting a future GHC Heavyweight title shot. its lining up to be a good show that we can not wait to see unfold as the only way you can watch it is via PPV on NTV

As for the first time in the company's short history a show was on PPV for the company, a lot of people from the office deemed it a slight failure not reaching the goal of 100,000 buys. Though reaching 95,000 plus buys for a first time PPv is generally considered a success by most in the wrestling world. Champion, Figurehead and Owner Mitsuharu Misawa stated he was not satisfied with the results and will push forward for the goal to be reach. It’s also noteworthy that the AJPW Show that ran oppose to Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Anniversary Show earlier in the month did the same buy rate 0.23 with 94,798 buys. with a mere 384 buy rate difference it seems the war between AJPW and NOAH is all too close to call.
*Juventud Guerrera signed an extension with the company

This month for Pro Wrestling NOAH will be different than most as there is no Big event at the end of the month, however it will be at the start of the next month as NOAH Departure 2001 is set for Sept. Wk.1 Saturday.Basically the only difference that will be of note is you will get 5 TV Shows instead of 4 before the Big Event
