Default Title changes at house shows

I was watching some classic WWF today, and it reminded me that years ago we used to get occasional title changes at house shows. That’d be a cool feature to add

I suggested this a year or two ago, so I'm on board.
But people were not really into it. Besides, you can always just replace the current champ, and "pretend" it happened at a house show. At least, that's what they told me

I don't think it is really needed, but it would be a nice addition. On the other hand, I think it would be great to have house shows title defenses (even if purely cosmetic) and most importantly, have house shows count towards tag team experience.

And option to increase tag team experience via house shows would be awesome! tbh, I don't care for title changes or matches at house shows and I like how house shows work right now in the game, but that would be a nice addition.

You can always just book a non-televised event. It's basically a house show. Do a big Madison Square Garden show and don't broadcast it.

Boom, done.

I book "house shows" all the time.

Yep, I always find it a huge pain in the ass to build a team to have decent experience, and I think that in big companies that have house shows it doesn't really make much sense.

I guess it would have to be "slower" than they had teamed up daily in TV shows (it would be like if the guys on the teams would some days have singles matches and be in each-others' corner) for balancing issues. Also, it would also have to apply only for units and not individuals, so that you couldn't just start building up tag teams "in the background" without repercussions, as in this way their momentums would be intertwined. And if one guy is in multiple active teams the experience he would get in each team would have to be reduced proportionally.

I'm neutral to the title changes but I want to point out that tag experience already increases really quickly.

If you're on TV with a weekly show and use your preshow, it's easily possible to get a new team from fresh to maximum experience in two years. When you consider that tag experience is such a big boost, that's crazy quick.

If it increased on house shows you could max out experience in under eighteen months.

Totally agree. Having house shows count towards the exp score would make it way too easy to get teams up to max.

Didn't AJ Styles win the US title at a house show? I know Owens won it back like three days later, but still... it's an official title reign, so I'm still on board. However, the thing about booking an event and not televising it, is a good shout too...

WWE has booked house show title change perhaps once every year or two - in the last decade or so we've had Miz/Morrison winning the tag belts from Punk/Kofi, Primo/Epico winning them from Kofi/Bourne (due to Bourne's wellness violation) and the women's title changing hands twice on the same show (although that came from a mistake in the first match) plus the US title switch noted above.

So it's not common, and specifically because WWE wants its title changes appearing on TV, but even so it happens.

Something interesting might be if this was added as extra settings on the title properties page - House Show title changes: Ludicrous, Frequent, Occasional/Medium, Rare, None and AI Controls House Show Changes Yes/No. That way you could mimic the Hardcore title's nuttiness without having to book each change, but also set the occasional change yourself. Leaving it to the AI would mean, potentially, that it could book title changes that run against your ongoing storylines, which could add a wrinkle to your booking.

I personally would like the otion to have more control of house shows. Besides that, changing titles on house shows could right a wrong when a booking goes wrong assuming we have more botched finishes or workers ignoring the script. Or perhaps just to get a title off of someone wihtout them losing on TV or PPV.

I have never thought of this. It's perfect.
