I'm sure you've thought of this but I think a good quality for your crew to have would be a "trustworthiness" rating. So somebody with a low trustworthiness would easily give information to the police to stay out of jail, while somebody with maximum trustworthiness will practically never give any information.

Basically, think Frankie The Squealer and Johnny Tightlips from The Simpsons.

And I think this should not be a hidden value, but something you can figure out. Say somebody with a low trustworthiness is arrested, but you've learned they aren't trustworthy, so better send a hit squad after them before they can talk.

I don't, however, have an idea of how to figure out somebody's trustworthiness in-game.

The thing is, its an assumption that all of the guys you hire will be fairly trustworthy, and + many players wouldn't bother to hire someone they couldn't trust anyway, so this would be too much of a non-factor really, IMO.

Is there an option like we can join other families? Grow up into mafia ranks from soldato to underboss, consigliere? Overthrow the current don or form own family. And having stats like intelligence for Consigliere, intimidation for capo, etc?

This. That icon feels more at home at a country-western bar than the mob. The hat, combined with the revolvers and star, give it a very old west feel. Flatten the sides of the hat and it'll look more like a fedora than a stetson. Then maybe replace the six-shooters with automatics like M1911s and the star with a coin or $ symbol, and it would feel more Mafia.

Maybe that could be a hidden stat. So players do not know what they are getting loyalty wise.

After all in real life members of the mafia turn state a lot more often (Sammy the Bull being the perfect example).

Yep, already done. That way certain characters might be more likely to have issues with messing up or being "rats" in the long run.

Updated the main menu UI somewhat, making better use of space and grouping things together a bit better, IMO:

Will you be able to whack guys in your outfit that you suspect of being rats?

You sure will! You can also 'burn' guys if they aren't useful to you anymore, meaning you cut them loose.
