Fastlane:

Nakmura vs Rusev - Good match. It annoys me that Rusev is forced to be a heel even though he's over enough to be a strong babyface.
Orton vs Roode (c) - Solid match for a feud with little heat. Orton is now a Grand Slam champion. Hopefully Roode will turn heel soon.
Women's Tag - OK but pointless match. Carmella got the pin to make her look strong before her cash-in attempt at Mania. Poor Becky.
New Day vs The Usos (c) - Good match but they have had better. Using each other's moves kept it fresh. The extended Bludgeon Brothers beatdown was great and they finally used the weapons. Reminded me of early Shield.
Ruby vs Charlotte (c) - Good match. Just what Ruby needed to prove she's better than the stable she's stuck in. Asuka showing up was a cool bonus.
Sixpack Challenge - The most entertaining match of the night.

Verdict: Solid PPV. By recent Smackdown standards they overdelivered.

I thought Orton was already a grand slam champ? Outside of the hardcore and euro titles, the US belt is the only one he hasnít had.

Just looked it up. Triple Crown is any 3 original titles. Grand Slam is all 4 (WWE/Heavyweight, IC, US, Tag). It surprised me Orton hadn't won the US title before.

The comments on Twitter about the Fabulous Moolah Battle Royale is about what you'd expect. The worst part is WWE having the women say nice things about her on camera. They couldn't have used Mae Young or Chyna instead???

The Fabulous Moolah is one of the most celebrated female wrestlers of all time, and is touted by WWE as their greatest champion, having held the womenís title for longer than anyone else in the companyís history. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995. In her latter days with WWE, she was well-known for doing comedy bits with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young.

Moolah and her husband, Buddy Lee, ran a school for female wrestlers decades ago, and anecdotal accounts tell a dark story. For a time, Moolah took a black female wrestler named Sweet Georgia Brown under her wing, and in an article written for the Free Times, Brownís children aired out a ton of dirty laundry. Among the allegations: Brown was raped and drugged on the road in an effort to control her. The article heavily implied that Moolah stiffed Brownís family on their motherís earnings. Moolah, in her defense, denied any wrongdoing. But former WWE wrestler and valet Luna Vachon corroborated that Moolah was a shady person. According to Vachon, when Vachon was sixteen years old, Moolah sent her to take pictures for an older male cardiologist. They were non-nude pictures, but still, the incident comes off as shady to say the least.

Iím honestly surprised they went with Moolah. I thought they had had already written her out of history, what with the Mae Young Classic being a thing. Donít call it a memorial and you can get away with all sorts legends since womenís wrestling isnít that old. Alundra Blayze and Trish come immediately to mind.

I would have called it the Trailblayzer Battle Royal or something like that to honor Madusa.

They have an award named after the Warrior, why are people even outraged by this at all? This is par for the course, you're wasting your energy if you're genuinely mad about this.

You're right about it being par for the course, but Moolah was FAR worse than Warrior.

Then again, they honored Jimmy Snuka with a tribute video when he died. Like you said, par for the course.

The pimping thing don't really bother me I mean how do you think the Godfather came up with his gimmick lol...Honestly the blurred line between prostitution and porn is just whether a camera is turned on. I don't see the taboo behind that....but the other things is a bit more questionable.

I've seen some shady practices by trainers but taking 25% of all your future bookings. That is a bit insane to me....Also getting them hooked on drugs to exploit them is a bit harsh.

(Is it a bad thing I had to look up why people were outraged about this? I somehow missed all these things she had done lol)

Well Chyna was a drug addict and who did porn, so I do not think she would have been a great choice either.

Speaking of junkies, what the hell Jeff Hardy...

This guy has been given chance after chance to clean up his act and he goes out and drives drunk. What a piece of garbage.

I was kinda expecting Hulk Hogan to do some kinda speech during Black History Month. That seems like a Vince thing to do

Saying something is par for the he course in no way makes it ok. That’s just asinine.

Moolah by all counts was a cancer to women’s wrestlers. They should have named it after a female that actually empowered young women. Like Wendi Richter, Madusa, Sherri, or even Lita or Trish.

You don't see them attaching Chris Benoit's name to the MITB ladder matches but that's only because there's proof of his crime. Moolah was never charged with anything. For someone who seems to put stock in social media, Vince and Co. sure are shortsighted sometimes. They deserve the backlash.

Anyway, the ending of Smackdown, 205 Live and NXT are well worth watching this week. Cedric vs Roddy and Dunne vs Cole were PPV quality matches.
