Really enjoyed the first big event. I’m definitely digging what you are doing here!

Thanks Historian! I am having a lot of fun with this dynasty. I ran into a snag with my training events after the big show in June, so I am still figuring out how I will continue to train my guys, but not tank the ratings.

My initial plan was to continue the training shows and use new talent, plus the old talent, but I don't want to run the risk of losing popularity.

Lone Star Wrestling Live
May Friday, Week 2
Live From: Lincoln High School Auditorium
In Attendance: 120

Quote:

I decided to let Dwayne open the show as the boy had the gift of gab. He talked up his big win last week, and how Thomas was simply his next step to becoming the first LSW Champion.
Rating: 49
vs
Match 1: Thomas Hamil v. Dwayne “Danger” Robinson
In a decent match, Thomas Hamil defeated Dwayne Robinson in 14:24 by submission with a Kimura.
Rating: 27

Quote:

I interviewed Hector (which was being streamed on Facebook and our website)about his upcoming match against “The Avenger” Monty Bradley. Hector, probably our best overall in-ring worker, did a good job of making a case for himself while also talking about how Monty was dangerous. Hector’s smooth, carefree “musician” gimmick came across well and he seems to be coming more into his character.
vs
Match 2: JT Styles v. Logan Ambrose
In a decent match, JT Styles defeated Logan Ambrose in 13:46 by pinfall with a Styles Clash.
Rating: 26 (Logan was off his game)

Quote:

I interviewed Thomas to give him a chance to practice his mic skills. While Thomas was our best technician, he was not to hot on the mic. He struggled, even with a script, but by the end came across slightly more confident. He needed to be paried in a feud with one of our better talks in order for both of them to hide each other’s weaknesses.
vs
Match 3: “The Avenger” Monty Bradley v. Hector Lopez
In a decent match, Monty Bradley defeated Hector Lopez in 12:18 by pinfall with The Hammer.
Rating: 38 ***Match of the Night***

Quote:

My last interview of the night was with JT giving him a chance to show his personality to the “crowd” and to continue to improve his mic skills. He still struggles with being completely confident on the mic, but is improving. I mean this kid has the potential to completely carry this company in the future, we just gotta keep pushing those mic skills, because he definitely has the “It” factor.
vs
Match 4: TL Reed v. Kassius Kain
In a decent match, TL Reed defeated Kassius Kain in 14:08 by pinfall with a Kickstart.
Rating: 32

Quote:

After the bell, T.L. had his arm raised in the ring for no more than a few second, before Kassius clobbered T.L. from behind. Kassius was relentless in his attack. Bret (the ref) tried to put a stop to the beatings, but he got thrown aside like a piece of paper. Kassius continued to beat T.L. down until he was satisfied with the beating. Kassius left the ring and made his way to the locker room without every looking back.
Rating: 71 (got to love Menace angles)

Thank you guys for the predictions it always make me smile to now that people are reading it and guessing, even though these are all new, RtG characters.
I am hoping as the shows go on, people will get a clearer picture of the various pushes of each work. I tend to book more like a weekly show, so that is something I am going to need to adjust, because I do not want to run weekly shows yet.

Another good show in the books. The only downside, we only had about 120 in attendance, which was a massive blow to the boys’ egos. Despite that I was able to talk them back into high spirits and helped them put the best show on they good. Monty and Hector really surprised me and I made sure to let them both know it. Also, Kassius and T.L. put on a pretty good show, but their story really took hold in the aftermath of the match. T.L. sold the injury, despite us not being able to “stretcher” him out like I wanted.

Again though I was bummed that the online dirtsheets talked more about me then focusing on the in-ring action. Something needed to give, but I was not sure how to get them to focus on the boys who were giving it all out there. I mean I really do get that they are not going to be putting on even 3 Star matches, hell I would be extremely happy with solid 2 Star matches.

Enough focusing on the tonight’s event, and the dirt sheets, let’s look moving forward. We already have one storyline seed placed, just need to get a few more going and I think we will do that at the next show. I was happy with the card and how we would work to unfold storylines and introduce new workers already. I wasn’t going to start introducing characters this year, but decided that some of the boys at the training school were progressing already, to a decent enough standard, and I wanted to get the boys exposed and ready to introduce the Tag Team Title before the year was finished.

Lone Star Wrestling Live
May Friday, Week 4
Live From: Lincoln High School Auditorium
In Attendance: 296

Quote:

Dwayne “Danger” Robinson opens the show and talks about how he was robbed out of victory and that Thomas cheated with an illegal move. Also Dwayne says he did not tap out but his hand slipped when he was about to pry himself free. Butch Stevenson makes his way out to confront Dwayne for his “belly-aching,” and challenges him to fight mano a mano. Dwayne laughs it off, but accepts nonetheless.
Quote:
vs
Match 1: Dwayne Robinson vs Butch Stevenson
In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Butch Stevenson defeated Dwayne Robinson in 13:50 by submission, with a Texas Cloverleaf.
Rating: 26 (Dwayne off his game, Butch visibly tired)
Quote:

I interviewed both JT Styles and Thomas Hamil about their upcoming match. Thomas came off as serious and professional, but a little stiff. JT came off slightly better, and a little ore cocky. They both shook hands to end the interview.
Quote:
vs
Match 2: Comanche vs Wesley Orton
In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Wesley Orton defeated Comanche in 14:10 by pinfall with The Blade.
Rating: 23 (both visibly tired)
Quote:

I interviewed TL about Kassius attacking him. TL called him a sore loser and promised revenge, but before he could continue Kassius came out of nowhere with a wild forearm to the back of T.L.’s head. Kassius continued to attack the downed T.L. before we (security and I) were able to pull Kassius off and escort him out of the building.
Quote:

Match 3: JT Stylces vs Thomas Hamil
In a decent match, Thomas Hamil defeated JT Styles in 14:07 by submission with a Kimura.
Rating: 35 (Great Chemistry)
Quote:

T.L. made his entrance and Kassius jumped the barricades and continued to attack him. But before anybody could reach Kassius, he jumped the barricade again and left through the audience.
Rating: 73
Quote:
vs
Match 4: T.L. Reed vs Monty Bradley
In a decent match, Monty Bradley defeated TL Reed in 13:35 by pinfall with The Hammer.
Rating: 33
Quote:

Again Kassius tried to attack T.L. after the match, but Monty was having none of it. Monty hit the rin and with a vicious clothesline sent Kassius tumbling out of the ring. Kassius gave Monty a death stare and said “You are next,” before smirking and walking off.

After tonight’s show I felt better about the future of the promotion and the boys that were here. I mean money was not really an issues, we had plenty of that, but it was the fans I was worried about. Tonight they seemed to be a little more invested in the show, and are really digging both Dwayne and Kassius.

Everybody did their best out there and that’s what I want to see. Again though, I was getting annoyed by what was being said online that too much focus continued to be on me and less on what the boys are really doing out there. Something had to change, and I think I knew what it was…

I don’t want to focus too much on those things because I want to keep things moving forward. So the finale for the LSW Championship was already set and I think I had a decent show lined up to get some guys more purpose than just fighting random guys.

LSW Presents Championship Showdown
June Friday Week 2

Match 1 Dwayne Robinson vs JT Styles
Match 2: Wesley Orton vs Leo Reigns
Match 3: Nicky Nelson vs Hector Lopez
Match 4: Butch Stevenson vs Jackson Lugar
Match 5: Cole Ryland vs Comanche
Match 6: Logan Ambrose vs Marty Daniels
Main Event: Monty Bradley vs Thomas Hamil for the LSW Championship

Quote:
Thank you everybody who predicted! This continues to be a lot of fun to play. I am hoping that as I continue my writing and style will improve.
I have a few more shows booked and have decided to bring in some new recruits to give me more options. My ultimate goal is to try to give most of my roster something to do so I stay invested in each of them. Any comments, questions, or issues feel free to let me know.
