”......so how's the Giant after his big main event showing....a win over Hunter? He's got to be pleased with that....."

"......oh yeah, he's frigging delirious with joy....he's like a seven foot ray of goddam sunshine....."

"......still not happy then?......"

"......not even remotely the big sad sack......although you'd think he'd be in a better mood this week, not only did he get that big win, but Hogan payed off him this week too....instead the big bald b@stard went to work turning the rest of the roster against Savage......this guy bro....this frigging guy....."

"......hey, now there's a guy I'd definitely take of your hands....."

"......what? Hogan?....."

".....no not Hogan Vince, Jesus Christ.......I'm talking about Savage....."

".....yeah well.....you ain't getting him either bro.....even if Hogan and his buddies are giving me an ulcer the size of Jersey, they're still the biggest things going......"

".....are they?.....because I didn't see Hogan, Savage OR Warrior fighting in that main event, and as much as it pains me to say so, that match was really good....."

".....yeah but Hogan was out there bro....see, that's what you don't understand....Hogan's name value alone made that match ten times better....."

"......no, what made that match ten times better was the fact both Triple H and the Giant are under 30 and can move without breaking a hip......"

"......pfttt, whatever bro, keep telling yourself that......it's not all bad over here anyway....that Gideon Cain, Bobby Eaton's got him coming on in leaps and frigging bounds.....I knew I kept that tubby b!tch around for a reason......"

"......Bobby is a hell of a hand Vince, and a nice guy too by all accounts, you should be glad to have him there....."

"......I'll be glad when he makes Cain a half decent worker, how about that.....I'll even get him an all you can eat voucher for wherever the hell he wants to say thanks....."

".....the boys taking an interest in the rookies is a good thing Vince, you should be encouraging it.....hell, even Brian Pillman over here has took on a protege....D-Von Dudley....."

"......who in the f@ck is D-Von Dudley?....."

"......you'll see soon enough.....he's in a tag team, the Dudley Boys.....they aren't ready for tv yet, but if Pillman keeps working with D-Von it will certainly speed their process up....."

"......you and your frigging "boys" bro.....the Hardy Boys, the Harris Boys.....the fricking Dudley Boys.....you got any men over there in the WWF any more?....."

"......yeah keep laughing, but you've only got to look at The Rock to see how much these kids benefit from having a mentor, Jerry Lawler took Rocky Maivia and helped mouldy him into one of the brightest stars on YOUR roster.....he obviously enjoyed doing it too, because he's taken another youngster under his wing, another Nation member actually, D'Lo Brown....."

"......the head wiggle guy?......"

"......yes Vince....the 'head wiggle' guy....."

".....well Lawler needs something to do since you shunted off Raw bro....."

".....actually, he might be heading back there.....him and Rick Rude have called a few matches together on Superstars, and they work extremely well together....well enough that it might compensate for Lawlers less than stellar colour skills.....Jim Ross, Rick Rude and Jerry Lawler on Raw....the straight man, the heel and the comedian, that might work....."

"......yeah? A three man commentary team huh? Why the frigging hell didn't I think of that? Oh wait, Nitro has been doing that, like, forever....never mind bro....."

"......you're not the comedian I was looking for Vince....”

I liked seeing Nash go all dominant on the last Raw. At the same time, I think things are really taking shape with where JPL goes at Halloween Havoc and perhaps even beyond that. The Clique really are ruling the wrestling world.

Kevin Nash - By hook or by crook, Nash steps into the title match. Not sure what to think about Austin getting beaten twice in two weeks though.
Mankind - I think I forgot to mention it previously, but I love Pillman and Mankind in Hell in a Cell. Instead of having a brutal Undertaker, you have two of the most insane men on the roster going at it inside the Cell. It's a great idea, one that I wouldn't have had in a thousand years. Can't wait to see it!
Scott Steiner
The Dudley Boyz?
Wrath
Matt Hardy - Matt sneaks out another win, but unless he doesn't end up on the card I get a gut feeling he won't be retaining past Bad Blood.

JPL - At this point either Lex or Giant are going to turn heel I'm pretty sure, but I'm not sure which one it will be.
ToW - Warrior tips the scales by a lot.
DDP
Goldberg
SST - They have to pick up a win somehow or else they're looking like fools.
Lance Storm - Title change! His Lordship will have to enjoy his cucumber sandwiches without a shiny gold plate.
Eddie Guerrero - Tajiri stepping up against Mortis was pretty cool, but it isn't going to lead him to any gold yet.

Just completely caught up, loving this through and through.

Definitely had a good laugh when I saw you had an In Your House in Calgary at McMahon Stadium. Poor bastards must have been freezing in an open air stadium in April hahaha

Thanks, glad you enjoyed......and what can I say, the action was so hot that night that they barely felt a breeze.....I believe that was my first A* match, yay Canada

In reality, I just liked the name of the place, McMahon Stadium! How could I not run the show there I would try the "hey I'm English, what do I know about Canadian venues" excuse, but to be fair, the word "Stadium" should have given away the fact that it has no roof, after all, I've sat freezing my tits off at the majestic bet365 Stadium watching the mighty Stoke City on many a wet windy day, so yeah, can't even use that excuse

I was gonna say, some US Stadiums either have permanent roofs or at the very least retractable roofs (I.E. US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas).

Week 2, October 1997
Portland Memorial Coliseum (Portland, Oregon)
ATT: 12,900
TV: 34.11

Quote:

We open up tonight's show with the man who closed last week out with a bang.....well, more of a crashing of splintering wood than a bang, but you get my point....because fresh off of driving the World Wrestling Federation Champion Ahmed Johnson through a table just seven days ago, Kevin Nash is here (along with Sean Waltman and Scott Hall) and he doesn't look to be in any better of a mood than he was in last Monday night....

.....the three men climb into the ring, where Nash stands back and broods as Scott Hall takes the microphone first....he says that at Ground Zero, the Wolfpac had some mixed fortunes, ("Big Kev, he got screwed over by the Shhhh.....itman Bret Hart, and the Kid here, well he came up short too against the Baby Hart") but the Bad Guy, he picked up a win over the Loudmouth of the Light Heavyweights Chris Jericho, he beat Bret Hart a week before that, so the way he sees it, (since Test has got to face Scott Steiner tonight, and there's a good chance he's gonna break the pretty boy's jaw) the only one left to beat is Owen...("and it seems to me man(g) that Badd Blood is as good a place as any for the Bad Guy to pick up the Intercontinental Championship....for the fifth time Chico....so Owen Hart, if you've picked all the little pieces of table outta your hair after last weeks little 'accident', and if you got the guts, don't sing it.....bring it").....

.....with that challenge officially made, Hall hands the microphone to Nash, who says that since the Wolfpac is already out here, and Scott is throwing out challenges, he's gotta ask.....

".....Ahmed Johnson.....what's it gonna be?.....you might have the Hitman at Badd Blood, but Big Sexy MUST have your attention about now.....see me, the kinda man I am....someone punked me out in the back, and then drove my ass through a table like I did to you last week, there ain't a damn thing on the face of this earth gonna stop me from getting a little bit of payback....and hell, if I had a title around my waist, I might be so inclined as to offer up a shot, just to get that guy in the ring.....

....of course, that's the difference between me and you, you're the one getting his ass punked, while Big Sexy is KICKING ass and taking names, just likes he's been doing since the day he walked into the WWF....."

.....Nash says that the way he sees it, he can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday night, than stepping into the ring with not only Ahmed Johnson, but the Hitman Bret Hart too, because he wants Bret to see up close and personal, as Big Sexy picks up his second World Wrestling Federation Championship........

.....with that, the WWF Champion himself comes bursting out from the back, and he has his manager James E Cornette with him, who (along with sporting a lovely foam neckbrace courtesy of HIS interaction with Nash last week) appears to be hastily trying to slow down the Pearl River Powerhouse's path....the camera's can hear him, not trying to talk Ahmed out of FACING Nash, but more so trying to convince him not to not get into that ring right now with the entire Wolfpac.....

....Ahmed isn't listening however, telling Corny that Nash is going to pay for what he did last week, and he's going to pay NOW....

....Ahmed climbs into the ring and marches right up to Nash, (shoving Sean Waltman to one side) and snatches the microphone out of his hand, telling Big Sexy that if he wants in on the Badd Blood WWF Title match, then Ahmed happily accepts, because there's not a man in the WWF that he's going to back down from, ("no matter bow big, or how bad they THINK they are.....Kevin Nash.....Bret Hart.....they're just two more names on Ahmed Johnson's list of victims")....and Ahmed says (and this is the bit that Cornette is not happy about) that if he's going to fight two men at Badd Blood, then he may as well fight THREE men, right here.....right now....

....with that Ahmed tosses the microphone down and stares down the entire Wolfpac....Rick Rude says that a lot of people around here don't like Ahmed Johnson, but you can't deny the guts of the man....Jim Ross agree's, however he does question just how smart it is to antagonise the Wolfpac, especially considering the carnage they caused last week.......

.....Nash to his credit takes the high road, sure Hall, Waltman and himself COULD go for a good old fashioned three on one assault right now, but Big Sexy pats his two team mates on the back, telling them to stand down, because he's got this.....and as he and Ahmed go face to face, it looks as though we're about to see a fight right now.....

.....until that is the owner of the World Wrestling Federation comes walking out, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon, along with his personal problem solver, Kane......

.....he tells the two men that he would suggest that they would be well served in remembering that actually, NEITHER of them has the authority to go around adding people to matches, ESPECIALLY World Title matches......

"......but I do.....and since you both look eager to get your hands on each other, then it's official......at Badd Blood: In Your House, it will be Ahmed Johnson defending the World Wrestling Federation Championship, against Bret "The Hitman" Hart......and Big Sexy Kevin Nash........

......IF......

......you Kevin Nash, do something for me.....see, Bret Hart had to EARN that Championship opportunity, I can't just HAND you a title shot, Bret would no doubt feel.....screwed....."

......McMahon says that since he enjoyed the sight so much last week, should Kevin Nash be able to defeat one Stone Cold Steve Austin tonight, then Mr. McMahon will make that triple threat title match official.....

......Nash says that he has no problem with that, just like he has no problem in kicking Ahmed Johnson's ass right here right now.....he and Ahmed get right up into each other's face and it looks as though they are about to come to blows. McMahon puts a stop to that before it even begin's however....telling both Nash and Ahmed that he had anticipated this little conundrum, (before indicating to the back as a whole bunch security personnel come piling out from the back, placing a human wall between the two men) McMahon tells Nash that if he REALLY wants to be a part of the Badd Blood Championship match, then he would suggest that he heads to the back right now while McMahon is still in a charitable mood.....and as for Ahmed, if HE really wants Kevin Nash as badly has he claims that he does, then he would be well advised to remember one thing.....he might be the World Wrestling Federation Champion, but Vince McMahon is still the boss....

".....you don't cross the boss....."

.....it takes Hall, Waltman AND Jim Cornette to finally talk Nash and Johnson into walking away from each other....but they finally do.....with Nash promising that once he's done win Austin, Ahmed Johnson and Bret Hart are next, while Ahmed promises Nash that the same thing is going to happen to him that's happened to everybody else that's stepped into the ring with Ahmed Johnson.....

".....you're....going....down....."

Rating: A*

VS. VS. VS.

Matt Hardy has only held the WWF European Championship for a little over six weeks, but he's already clocked up as many title defences as some champions manage in six months...since losing his tag team partner back in July, he's quietly been going about his business, transitioning into his new role as a singles competitor, and actually having more success than he did as one half of the Hardy Boys (a fact that the European Title around his waist backs up)....unfortunately for him, quietly going about his business isn't an option anymore, because people are starting to realise that defeating this youngster is no easy task, and the European Championship is looking more appealing with each passing week.....

.....tonight will certainly be his toughest test since capturing the Championship, because much like at Summerslam he has three opponents to contend with, two of which were actually in that Summerslam fatal four way with him, Jeff Jarrett and Ken Shamrock.....although arguably, you've got to give the advantage to the Million Dollar Corporation tonight, because not only is Double J a part of the match, Rich Steiner is as well, and you know that DiBiase is going to want his men working as a unit to bring the gold home.....

.....tag rules are in effect for this one, and only two men can be legal at any one time, which means that while Hardy and Shamrock are attempting to ensure that they remain in the ring, Jarrett and Steiner are happy to utilise the tag rules, making quick tags in and out to ensure that the fresh man is always in the match.....

......as for Shamrock, he's going to have to keep that temper in check tonight if he has any intention of bringing home the gold, DiBiase's game plan however is to intentionally antagonise the hot headed MMA star to the point that he snaps, because an unstable Shamrock is more prone to make a mistake.....and that's exactly what they do.....and make a mistake he does....

.....because with Jarrett and Shammy legal in the match, Double J goes for a blatant low blow kick on Shamrock, who catches his foot.....with both hands holding onto the leg of Jarrett however, that leaves Ken's face wide open.....and Jeff Jarrett spits right in it.....and in the space of about two seconds, Shamrocks entire demeanour changes, as his eyes begin to bulge out of his head and he lets out a loud scream as he drops Jeffs leg to wipe the spittle from his jaw....

.....Jarrett decides that being in the ring with Shamrock right now isn't the best idea, and he quickly runs over to make the tag to Matt Hardy.....before Jeff can climb out of the ring however, Shamrock is on him like a shot, dropping him with a belly to back suplex and then hooking on the ankle lock submission.....and had Jarrett still been the legal man, we would have a new champion, because Double J is tapping like crazy......he's NOT the legal man however, Matt Hardy is.....

.....Matt climbs into the ring and tries to get the attention of Shamrock.....no luck there....the lights are on but no ones home.....Steiner comes running into the ring to charge at Hardy, but Matt sidesteps him and propels him over the top rope and down to the floor......

.....Matt turns again to try and get Shamrock to release the hold.....he and Ken are the legal men, and until Shamrock lets go of Jarrett, this match is at a standstill.....Shamrock is not breaking however......although with both hands wrapped around the ankle of Jeff, that does leave his head wide open, and eventually Matt simply shrugs his shoulders, gives up trying to reason with Ken.....grabs him by the head......

.....and drops him with the Twist of Fate......

.....finally Jeff Jarrett is free, and he rolls to the outside in agony beside his partner, as Matt Hardy makes the cover.....picks up ANOTHER successful title defence......and Ken Shamrocks temper just cost him another victory.

Winner: ....and Still WWF European Champion.....Matt Hardy

Hardy heads to the back with his European Title still wrapped firmly around his waist, as Ken Shamrock finally begins to regain his senses in the ring.....he looks like he's not entirely sure what happened, but judging by the fact that it's Matt Hardy's music playing and not his, he clearly knows he didn't win, and gets up to a kneeling position with his head in his hands as the Million Dollar Corporation make their way up the aisle as well, and they're not happy, with all three calling Shamrock a "dumb schmuck" for costing all three of them the match.....

....Shamrock smacks his hands on the mat in frustration as the official gently pats him on the shoulder, asking him to vacate the ring so that they can get on to the next match....

.....Ken doesn't seem ready to leave just yet though, and shrugs the official off as he slowly stands to his feet....the referee is quite persistent however, placing a hand on Shamrocks arm, trying to usher him out of the ring....again Ken shakes him off, telling him to get his damn hand off him before he breaks it off....this poor official must have Vince McMahon yelling at him in his earpiece however, because he really is quite insistent, and finally yells at Shamrock that he ("lost the damn match Ken, get out of the ring already") and (rather stupidly one might say) shoves Ken towards the ropes in an attempt to hurry him up.....

.....this official obviously didn't get the memo that Ken Shamrock can be rather unstable at times....but he soon learns the hard way, as Mount Shamrock erupts, and Ken spins around hooks hold of the official....and drives him into the mat with a vocal scream and a physical belly to belly suplex that leaves the referee lying.....

.....a number of other officials come running down the aisle, but the first three are met with belly to belly's of their own, leaving the remaining men in stripes to back off, where they attempt to calm Shamrock down from a distance....Ken storms around the ring screaming in rage, before he finally lets out a loud shout, telling everyone to ("GET OUT OF MY WAY") as he finally climbs out of the ring and storms off up the aisle and to the back.

Normally I'd like to have a little bit of Scott Steiner's ramblings in a pre-match promo about here....but since I've literally JUST run an angle where the official was trying to hurry Ken Shamrock to the back so that we can get our next started, we'd better just get our next match started.....

....last week Chris Jericho made the mistake of interrupting a Big Poppa Pump interview, rather disrespectfully dismissing the former WWF Triple Crown Winner....Steiner obviously didn't take that particularly well, and it was Test that paid the price for that disrespect, after Scotty introduced his 'good' pipe to the back of the Bodyguard's head.....

.....which brings us tonight, as the Little Pumpers and the Testicles in the crowd (patents pending) get ready for Scott Steiner vs. Test.....with the added bonus of a sexy beast at ringside....and Sable too!

......was this match pretty?.....well, no.....it was surprisingly well received however, especially considering Test's positioning on the card....as usual it was all Scott Steiner, in another performance that highlighted exactly why he held the Intercontinental and Tag Team titles, won a Royal Rumble and defeated the seemingly unstoppable Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania for the World Wrestling Federation Championship, all in the space of a twelve month period.....

.....the match was an open one, with Test getting plenty of offence in (albeit with the assistance of the constant interference of Chris Jericho) in the end though, Scotty was able to lock Test in the Steiner Recliner, and looked to be seconds away from getting the submission victory, when Chris Jericho slid into the ring and nailed him right in the back of the head, drawing the disqualification and giving Steiner the victory......

Winner: Scott Steiner (via disqualification)

......Test is down and hurt (and actually rolls to the outside to recover) but Chris Jericho has smelt an opportunity to get one over on Scott Steiner, and he lays into Scotty with kicks, punches, and stomps, before giving a little Mohammed Ali shuffle and shadow boxing arrogantly in the middle of the ring.....

.....he drags Big Poppa Pump back to his feet and backs him up into the ropes, where he yells into his face that this is what he gets for trying to embarrass the Ayatollah of RocknRolla, before actually slapping Scotty in the face and going for an Irish Whip.....

.....which Scott Steiner reverses.....

.....and on the rebound Scotty leaps high into the air and then drives Jericho into the mat with a (perfectly sold) Frankensteiner.....

.....Test sees his man in trouble and climbs up onto the apron, stepping one leg over the top rope, just as Sable tosses Scotty his good lead pipe, which he uses to batter up, swinging a hard home run to the underside of the top rope.....which in turn crushed the cable into Test's exposed...ehm....Testicles.....

......Test clutches at his groin and crumbles to a heap on the outside, and Jericho has decided that enough is enough, rolling onto the outside to join his (currently useless and in pain) bodyguard, as the two men finally help each other to the back while Scott Steiner calls the duo a ("PAIR OF LIL' B!TCHES") as they go, and Jim Ross sends us to commercial......

.....the beautiful young blonde stops for a moment to adjust her clothes (focusing mainly on her cleavage), before surreptitiously wiping at the corner of her mouth, and giving a seductive little smile as she turns and saunters off down the corridor.....what could she possibly have been doing in there?.....and now we DO go to commercial.

Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War have been going about a bit of a low key feud as of late, mainly occurring on our "Superstars" show.....so far however we have yet to see a clear winner, because every one of their tag team encounters has ended in a no contest, be that a double disqualification or a double count out....tonight we are hoping that we can finally get at least one decisive winner in this series of matches, as Booker T takes on Wrath in singles competition.....

.....well, we call it singles competition, but both Stevie Ray and Crush are on the outside, and neither man is shy about getting involved in the match...Harlem Heat may be the babyface team here, but getting a win over their rivals is more important than fighting fair right now, which is why after a decent amount of back and forth action, Stevie Ray reaches into the ropes to trip Wrath, who stumbles into a (slightly messy) small package....and a big handful of tights gives Booker T (and Harlem Heat by proxy) the somewhat cheap victory here tonight.....

Winner: Booker T
Rating: B

Quote:

....not that the end of the match means the end of the action, far from it in fact.....because after being outdone on the interference front by Stevie Ray, Crush rushes around to where the Harlem Heat member is situated, nailing him in the back of the head with a clubbing forearm, then bouncing his head, first off the ring apron, then the ring post.....

.....Booker rolls to the outside to come to his brothers aid, and he is soon followed by Wrath, and it's not long before these two teams have picked right up where they left off in their preceding encounters, with a(nother) wild brawl breaking out at ringside, as Harlem Heat and the Dogs of War battle their way back up the aisle, using every available hard surface and object as a weapon as they go, until they finally disappear through the entrance way and into the back....

.....the camera's follow the two warring teams as they continue to fight their way through the backstage area, and this rivalry is clearly far from over as they crash into the production area, where they proceed to wreak general havoc....Crush gets whipped into a sound box full of equipment, Wrath picks up a free standing lighting rig which he crashes across the back of Stevie Ray, Booker gets his head bounced off a nearby steel roller door.....and so on and so forth, until FINALLY the two teams get separated by security, and we go to a hype video featuring the construction of the brand new Hell in a Cell structure.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls.....Children of all ages.....the World Wrestling Federation, proudly brings to you, it's WWF Tag Team Champions of the Woooooooorld, the Road Dogg Jesse James, the Bad Ass Billy Gunn.....the New....Age.....Outlaws......

....and yes the Champions do indeed make their way out....not because they have a match, but they're here to see exactly WHO their next match will be against, because it's time for the New Age Outlaws Open invitational, to crown the new number one contenders for the Tag Team Gold.....although as the Outlaws join the announce table, Jim Ross points out that it's not an ENTIRELY open invitational....the two men that defeated the Champions in (what turned out to be) a non-title affair at Ground Zero, Al Snow and Chris Candido, are apparently NOT welcome in this contest, a fact which JR finds rather convenient.....

.....the Outlaws however say that they are simply trying to be fair, Pinky and the Brain had their shot.....they're not the Champions....it's time to give some fresh challengers the opportunity....Rick Rude completely agrees with the Outlaws....Jim Ross not so much, as he states that maybe what WOULD be fair, would be to give the two gentlemen that hold a victory over the Champions a shot, but Billy Gunn tells him that if he doesn't like it then he can just "Suck It", as we wait to see who's coming out first........

......apparently the Nation of Domination are looking to once again add some gold to their group....because it's the newest members Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown that make their way out, and Road Dogg says that this is exactly what they mean by "fresh" challengers, because these two men are brand new to the company and one match away from the biggest match of their careers ("of course, they still won't beat the D-O-Double G or Mr. A-Double Crooked Letter.....but they'll have the chance J.R, and that's all that matter")......

......Ross says that may be the case, but when you couple D'Lo's surprising agility with he sheer power of the Worlds Strongest Man Mark Henry, that might be easier said than done.....of course, the Nation still has to win tonight to get that shot.....so let's see who their opponents are going to be.......

......interestingly enough, those opponents are two men that have had quite the problem with the Nation of Domination as of late, as Rey Mysterio and Dean Malenko make their way out from the back. Although whether the two light heavyweights are actually looking to make a serious impact into the tag team division, or whether they are only out here because two Nation members are remains to be seen.........

......because before Rey and Malenko can get even halfway down the aisle they are jumped from behind, as the remainder of the Nation, Scorpio and Kama, lead by Faarooq, come rushing out from the back.....

......and the element of surprise is a wonderful thing, because that, coupled with the three on two advantage means that Mysterio and Malenko really stood no chance here, and it's not long before they are beaten to the ground, and it's fairly obvious that they are now in no condition to be competing this evening, as the two men are escorted to the back by medical personnel, while Security removes Faarooq, Kama, and Scorpio from ringside.....it looks as though the Nation may be opponent-less here tonight, with Jim Ross questioning whether that grants them a shot at the tag team titles at Badd Blood........

.....although it might be a moot point in a moment.....because as the Nation attempt to get the official to announce them the winners by forfeit, some unfamiliar music begins to play........

......as these three individuals make their way out onto the stage......

......the Outlaws are up like a shot, with Road Dogg grabbing a microphone telling Sunny to ("turn the crazy gang right around and go waft your skank stench somewhere else sister, it's not often I have to repeat myself, but it seems like I've got no choice so I'll say it nice and slow....No....Al.....Snow......No....Chris.....Can dido......No Invite.....No Shot......bye-bye.....so long......Sayōnara").....

......Sunny says that he's absolutely right.....and they're honouring that stipulation......no Al Snow, no Chris Candido......this is Al-Vatar and Skip.....the Head & Body Donnas.......

......Road Dogg shakes his head, telling Sunny that first of all, that name is terrible.....and secondly, you can hide Al Snow's ugly mug under a mask and call Chris Candido whatever you want, he's still Chris Candido......no dice, thanks for coming, goodbye.....

......Sunny says that ACTUALLY......the clause was that no one called Al Snow or Chris Candido could compete.....these two gentlemen aren't called Al Snow and Chris Candido......("and I had a little...'conversation'...with Mr. McMahon earlier.....and he agreed to this little loophole") and she turns to Candido...ehm, I mean Skip...telling him that she told him she'd get him that title opportunity somehow (although he still doesn't look particularly pleased to have her by his side as he rolls his eyes at her) before telling the boys in the back to play that music, because what Sunny wants......Sunny gets......

.....and so the competitors in this match are FINALLY decided.....and it's the Nation of Domination against the (cringe) Head & Body Donnas....and Al Snow, uhm, I mean Al-Vatar has gone all out for this one, Head is even wearing a matching Avatar mask.....Skip doesn't look particularly pleased to have had to dust off the old baby blue one-piece, and looks even less pleased at the fact that Sunny is also rocking her old Bodydonna outfit, but needs must if this pair are to have any hope of getting an ACTUAL title opportunity.....

.....as for the match itself, it was pretty good considering the fact that both D'Lo and Henry are virtual unknowns, with Skip and Al-Vatar not concerned about making these newcomers look strong....particularly Mark Henry, who overpowers his two smaller opponents for a good portion of the match....

.....Gunn and James aren't at all happy about this development, and as the Head & Body Donnas take control towards the end of the match, they leave the announce table to act as a distraction......

.....for Faarooq, who comes running down the aisle to drag Al(-Vatar) out of the ring, where he drives him into the crowd rail, leaving D'Lo and Henry to double team Skip.....

.....at least until the mammoth Nelson comes bounding out from the back, along with Bradshaw (who is moving at a much quicker pace) and as Nelson advances on Faarooq, Bradshaw runs right into the ring, where he slams into Henry with a Clothesline from Hell....that shot would have decapitated most people....not Henry....but it does send him tumbling through the ropes and to the outside....and as Nelson stalks Faarooq all the way back up the aisle, Bradshaw quickly exits the ring, leaving Skip to finish off D'Lo with a Diving Headbutt from the top rope for the one, the two, the three.....and a shot at the New Age Outlaws at Badd Blood.

From there we go to a pre-recorded segment Jake "The Snake" Roberts who is recording an on location interview with the still relatively new, but more adult themed WWF Raw Magazine as he spends some time with an unseen, off screen interviewer for an article set to appear in the upcoming issue....

.....it's clearly an article on the atonement of the Snake since his recent re-birth as a Christian, as he attempts to make amends for his decades of destruction, both to himself and to others....we see different spliced scenes of Jake visiting schools where he's talking about the dangers of drugs....he's down at the homeless shelter.....we see him entering an addiction meeting, and so on and so forth.....there's no direct audio from any of these scenes however, instead we have one audio track playing over the top, the audio of Jake speaking.....

.....he says that he's spent longer than he cares to remember on a self-destructive downward spiral, using the misery of others to attempt to bring some semblance of joy to his own pitiful life....using every crutch possible, be that alcohol, drugs....women....whatever it took to make him feel something....anything other than the crippling emptiness and loneliness that dwelled inside of him.....

".....it took me a long time to realise that all of those crutches, they only offered a temporary respite from the black hole that was my life....I was an empty vessel, and instead of trying to fill the void with the positive good, I filled it with the devil himself, and then wondered why I was so miserable....

.....it took faith to bring the Snake back from the brink, faith I never knew I had, faith that I never knew I needed until it was there.....that faith got me through the darkest time in my life, and if faith can save even a wretch like me, then ANYONE can be saved....and if anyone can be saved, then I have faith that I can shine a light on the dark road that Raven walks....a road that I lead him to, before taking away his map.....I don't particularly want to fight Raven, but at Badd Blood, if that's what I must do, then so be it......Raven can doubt my intentions....he can doubt my actions.....but I'm going to show him that this Snake, really has shed his skin, and is.....reborn...."

.....the various video clips end, and for the first time we see where Jake is conducting this interview.....outside the entrance to a church.....but not just ANY church he tells us, this is HIS church....it's where he comes when the trials and tribulations of life seem hopeless, and temptation rears its ugly head......

.....Jake makes his way up to the door, telling us that he's going inside, and that we are welcome to join him....he says that the priest here is a good man.....a man who knows all about the Snake's past, and doesn't judge him, he simply helps him become a better man every day......he stops for a moment to look up at the stone building with a smile, before pushing open the heavy wooden door and walking inside....although he probably wasn't ready for what was waiting.....

......we follow the figure of Roberts as he walks through the church, until he comes to an abrupt stop....and as he slowly brings his hands up to his head, the camera pans over his shoulder at the sight that stopped him in his tracks.....a man (presumably this priest that Jake was talking about) down on his knees in the sanctuary.....battered.....bruised.....bleeding... ..arms outstretched in a very "Raven-esq" pose with his hands bound by rope to the alter, his white dog collar tossed on the floor, black cassock torn open to reveal his bare torso, with the words "False Idol" scrawled in red across his chest......

.......Jake takes a few steps closer, where he pauses for a moment to look at the priest, before looking up to the crucifix attached to the wall above his head, a crucifix with one simple word painted beneath it......."Nevermore"......

......for once in his life, Jake "The Snake" Roberts appears lost for words, as he drops to his own knees to try and free the tortured clergyman, yelling at the cameraman to get out of here....go and get some help.....before muttering under his breath that maybe.....just maybe.....some people can't be saved, as we go back live to the arena......

.....where (as Jim Ross apologises for what we have just seen) Brian Pillman is making his way out to join the commentary table for our next match....because Mankind and Kane are about to reignite a very old feud, as they once more go one in one in the middle of the ring.....and it's while Kane is making his entrance that we are treated to some split screen action......

.......because a black pick up truck being driven by one Stone Cold Steve Austin has just pulled up in the parking lot.....and as the Rattlesnake climbs out of the cab of the vehicle, shoving the cameraman to one side as he walks towards the building, he looks p!ssed off to say the least....it's time to get on with our next match, as the commentators (Pillman included) question what exactly Mr. Austin could have planned.....

VS.

This isn't the first time these two "unique" individuals have crossed paths....in fact, at one point, Kane and Mankind were quite the formidable pairing, until Mankind realised that Kane and his then manager Jim Cornette were more interested in using the deranged one as a sacrificial lamb in Kane's war with his brother The Undertaker than they were with the wellbeing of Mankind.....so why has this age old feud been re-kindled? Well that's quite simple......Brian Pillman is less than two weeks away from stepping into the unknown.....two weeks away from stepping inside Hell in a Cell with Mankind.....and since Brian Pillman has a problem.....and Vince McMahon has a Problem Solver, we have this match tonight......

.....Jim Ross out and out asks the Corporate Cannon if this match tonight is happening to soften up his Badd Blood opponent for him? Pillman cackles at that, before unashamedly saying yes, that's exactly what is happening....BUT.....it also serves as an example of what's going to happen inside that Cell.....because much as Dude Love has never beaten Brian Pillman, Mankind has never beaten Kane, and tonight, the Big Red Monster is going to annihilate this pathetic freak one more time, before Brian Pillman continues the trend at Badd Blood.........

.....granted, this match was much less one sided that these two' previous encounters, but Kane is still Kane....he's still a seven foot monster, who's no easy opponent for ANYBODY, just ask The Undertaker, and it's not long before McMahon's problem solver is firmly in control.......

.....which is when that split screen kicks in again, because Stone Cold Steve Austin is marching through this arena, and he looks very focused......so focused in fact that he has to do a double take as he walks by a video monitor, and his p!ssed off face cracks to display (almost) a smile as he looks at the screen, before bending over to pick up a steel chair, before walking off again.....

.....down on the commentary table, Jim across remarks that it looks as though we may have some company here soon, because the Texas Rattlesnake clearly knows exactly where Kane is and he's coming.....and he's not coming empty handed.....

.....Pillman says if that's the case, then maybe it's time he and Kane gave Mankind a true Corporate Beating.....and he tosses down his headset and leaves the commentary table to climb up on the apron.....and he's just about to hop into the ring when the glass shatters.......

.....everything comes to a standstill as the three men turn to face the entrance way, clearly the Corporate Duo had a little two on one beatdown planned, but it looks as though the odds are about to be evened up......

.....or not.....

.....because Austin never appears.....at least in person.....because the Titantron suddenly flickers to life, to display Stone Cold standing in the back, outside that wooden door with "Mr. McMahon" displayed on it.....he says that he was just walking through the arena, feelining in a pretty p!ssed off mood and looking for someone's ass to whip, when he sees on one of those little monitors the the Big Red Jackass is down there in that ring....which means that Vince McMahon is probably back here all alone, hiding under his desk until his babysitter comes back....

"....so maybe old Stone Cold should go in there and keep him company...."

....Austin smiles at the camera, and pats his hand on the steel chair, before turning towards the door as the feed cuts out.....

....and with that, Kane simply steps over the top rope and walks away from this match, leaving Brian Pillman screaming at him to come back....Kane has other things on his mind however, he has the boss to protect, and he's up the aisle and disappeared to the back, leaving the official to make the mandatory ten count, before awarding this match to Mankind....

Winner(s): Mankind (via Count-Out)

....Brian Pillman is still up on the apron, and obviously decides that if you want something done, you have to do it yourself....because he quickly hops through the middle ropes and runs at the back of Mankind, looking to inflict some damage ahead of their Hell in a Cell encounter.....

....Mankind is ready and waiting however, and he turns around as Pillman charges, nailing the Corporate Cannon right in the chin with a stiff punch that puts him down, before pouncing on him with that gloved hand poised, looking for the Mandible Claw.....

.....Pillman frantically scratches and scrapes his way along the mat until he reaches the ropes, clutching at the bottom strand and dragging himself to the outside....and he doesn't even bother heading up the aisle to get away, he simply finds the nearest possible exit point, throwing himself over the safety barrier and disappearing into the sea of fans as Mankind watches him leave with a sick looking smile on his face.....

.....Jim Ross says that Brian Pillman may have escaped tonight, but there will be no escape in two weeks time, when these two men are trapped inside the confines of the Hell in a Cell....and Brian Pillman may just find himself regretting every damn thing he's ever done in his life.....

....in the meantime the camera switches to backstage, where Kane is briskly making his way towards the office of Vince McMahon...of course, whether the owner of the WWF is going to be in one piece when the Big Red Monster gets there, is anyone's guess....

....he turns the final corner and finally sees the (closed) office door at the end of the hall, and begins his final walk towards his destination.....

.....when Steve Austin suddenly crashes a steel chair across the back of the Monster....

.....clearly it was all a ruse, Stone Cold set a trap, and Kane walked right into it...and while the first blow doesn't put the seven footer down, the proceeding five blows to at least drop him down to one knee....before Austin unloads with a wicked shot straight to the skull of his Badd Blood opponent.....

.....it takes more than an absurd number of chair shots to keep Kane down however, and as Austin rears back looking to deliver another hard blow with the steel, Kane's arm snaps out, clutching Stone Cold by the throat, before the monster climbs back to his feet and slams Austin hard into the wall....

.....and it's on now, as these two men proceed to commence with a hard hitting backstage brawl, that finally sees them crash through McMahon's door, into the (empty) office......and that's when the Wolves begin to howl inside the arena.......

.....as the Wolfpac make their way down to the ring....presumably in preparation for Kevin Nash's upcoming match with the (very) preoccupied Stone Cold Steve Austin.....

.....the trio climb into the ring and the glass shatters......but obviously Steve Austin does NOT make his way out....in fact, the Titantron flickers into life to show Stone Cold and Kane still battling inside McMahons office, just as the Big Red Monster gets his head slammed off the desk.....

......inside the ring Nash has taken hold of a microphone, telling the official that he's here to fight, if Austin isn't coming then too bad for him. Nash tells the official to ring the bell, count Austin out, and Nash can go back to preparing for his WWF Title match at Badd Blood......

.....the official looks as though he's contemplating it....but he doesn't get the chance....because he's interrupted by the screeching guitar that signals the arrival of the Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Owen Hart and (still walking gingerly after the shot to his Testicles earlier in the evening) the bodyguard, Test.....

.....Bret tells Nash that he doesn't think so, ("that's not going to happen....last week I came out here, and I EARNED a shot at the WWF Title, and now, just as always, I'm going to be SCREWED out of my rightful one on one match? If you think you're just walking into that match without having to fight for it, you're very much mistaken")....

.....Nash points at the Titantron above Bret's head, where Stone Cold has just Irish whipped Kane straight into a concrete wall, and is currently hammering him with fists of fury, telling Bret that he doesn't know if he's noticed, but it doesn't look as though Steve Austin is coming down any time soon.....Bret says no, maybe not.....but the Hart Foundation are here, so Kevin Nash is getting his ass kicked one way or another.....

.....with that the Hart Foundation make their way down the aisle, where they dive into the ring....Bret and Nash go straight for each other, while Hall and Waltman go at it with Owen, Jericho and Test.....unfortunately, while The Hitman and Big Sexy are going toe for toe, Hall and Waltman are out numbered, and it's not long before the Canadian trio have got the upper hand.......

.....at least until Scott Steiner comes running down the aisle, evening up the numbers as he goes straight after Chris Jericho.....

.....up on the Titantron Steve Austin and Kane are still going at it backstage....Stone Cold looks to be attempting a piledriver on the concrete floor, but Kane reverses it with a backdrop that sees Austin bounce off the desk, leaving Kane to choke the life out of him on top of the wooden surface.....

.....inside the ring Hart and Nash are still hammering each other with blows, and they finally tumble through the ropes and both land on the apron, where they pull themselves back to their feet, teetering on the edge of the ring as they continue to try and kill each other.......

.....as WWF Champion Ahmed Johnson comes running down the aisle.....

.....he bypasses all the action going down on the outside, sliding straight into the ring and charging at Hart and Nash.....and in shades of the Bret/Diesel 1995 Survivor Series match, the Hitman and Big Sexy BOTH go flying off the apron, where they crash through the announce table, sending Jim Ross, Rick Rude running, and monitors flying.....

.....that brings the action to a screeching halt, as both Wolfpac members and Scott Steiner head over to check on Nash, while Owen, Jericho and Test tend to Bret, leaving Ahmed Johnson standing tall in the middle of the ring, where he screams down at the collective of wrestlers that one way or another, Kevin Nash WILL be in that WWF Title match at Badd Blood....and him?.....Bret Hart?.....they're BOTH going down.
