IMPACT Wrestling, September 2018, Week Two
Attendance: 2,500 at Rebel Entertainment Complex
Commentary Team: Josh Matthews & Don Callis

Quote:

IMPACT Wrestling kicks off with a quick recap of the main event from last week, where Moose turned on Eddie Edwards and joined up with Austin Aries & Killer Kross. Paul Heyman then made his debut and announced that he was the GM of IMPACT now and booked a six man tag match between Aries & Co. and Edwards and two other people. After that quick introduction, Austin Aries, Killer Kross, & Moose make their way down to the ring, decked out in suits. Aries starts things off by saying last week was a bit of a rollercoaster for him. He says that he & Kross made a new business associate in the form of Moose, but now he has to deal with a little thorn in his side known as Paul Heyman. Aries says that Moose is a great man who can get things done before handing the microphone off to Moose. Moose says that he turned on Eddie Edwards for one reason, because Eddie Edwards is weak and doesn't deserve to be here. Before Moose can continue...

Eddie Edwards appears on the ramp with a kendo stick!

Edwards decides to run down to the ring and starts attacking the three men with the kendo stick! However, the numbers game soon catches up to Edwards and the three men start beating the living hell out of him. Suddenly...

The Lucha Brothers run down to the ring for the save!

The three men are able to fend off Aries, Kross, & Moose as they send them packing to the outside. Edwards, Pentagon, & Fenix all stand tall as we go to commercials.

VS w/
The OGz vs Joe Hendry & Grado w/Katarina
The OGz are here suspiciously without their leader, King. Meanwhile, Hendry & Grado have been a bit of a losing streak due to Katarina accidentally costing them a whole bunch of matches. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Hendry & Grado. Hendry & Homicide start the match off with a collar and elbow tie-up, in which Homicide hits Hendry with a suplex. Homicide throws Hendry off the ropes and hits him with a dropkick. Homicide throws Hendy into the corner and hits him with a barrage of knife edge chops. Homicide attempts a sitout powerbomb, but Hendry reverses it into a facebuster. Hendry throws Homicide off the ropes and hits him with a spinebuster. The match comes to an end when Hendry tags out to Grado and Homicide tags out to Hernandez. Grado ducks a Hernandez big boot before hitting him with a lariat! All of a sudden at ringside, Katarina picks up Hendry and starts kissing him! Grado notices this and starts asking what the hell is going on! That is until Hernandez blasts him with a big boot! Hernandez then picks up Grado and hits him with the Border Toss (Throwing Crucifix Powerbomb)! Hernandez covers Grado and gets the three.
WINNERS: The OGz

Quote:

After the match is over, Katarina grabs a microphone and asks Hendry to get in the ring, all the while Grado is still unconscious. Katarina tells Hendry that Grado is no good and a burden on the two of them! Katarina then asks Hendry to come with her, because she'll take Hendry to the top of IMPACT Wrestling. Hendry grabs a microphone and says that what Katarina is doing is absolutely despicable and he cannot abandon his best friend Grado! Katarina throws her microphone down in protest as Hendry helps a still unconscious Grado to his feet. The two men walk to the back together as Grado's music plays.

Quote:

After that rejection, we cut to a dark and shady room where King is sitting down with an unknown person. King says that when he got the person's phone call last week, he knew that he was going to be in for something good. The person says that King should not too ahead of himself, because LAX are a very dangerous and formidable group. The person says that he, as the leader of the Scarlet & Graves gang, says that he knows that first hand. The person says that he wants to crush LAX once and for all, so he is sending his two best men to take them down for good. The two men then emerge from the shadows...

None other than Zachary Wentz & Dezmond Xavier!

The leader says that Wentz & Xavier are two of his most formidable men in this gang and he knows that they can take down LAX. King agrees and introduces himself to Wentz & Xavier, who don't really seem to want to get chummy with King. King finishes by saying that with Homicide & Hernandez chasing down LAX and now with the added help of Wentz & Xavier, LAX's days are numbered!

VS
Rosemary vs Tessa Blanchard
Rosemary made her return last week on IMPACT Wrestling where she interfered in the IMPACT Knockouts Title match between Su Yung, Allie, & Tessa Blanchard, costing Su Yung the match. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Rosemary. Tessa starts the match off by screaming at Rosemary about how she is the queen of the knockouts before Rosemary decks her with a forearm smash. Rosemary throws Blanchard into the corner and hits her with a few knee lifts. Rosemary attempts a belly to belly suplex, but Blanchard reverses it into a jumping DDT. Blanchard tries covering Rosemary, but Rosemary kicks out at one. Blanchard attempts her finisher, the Diamond DDT (Hammerlock DDT), but Rosemary reverses it into an exploder suplex. The match comes to an end when Rosemary picks up Tessa and hits her with the Red Wedding! Rosemary covers Blanchard and gets the three!
WINNER: Rosemary

Quote:

After that match is over, we cut to Mercedes Moon backstage. Moon introduces herself as one of the best women's wrestlers on the entire planet before saying that she came to IMPACT Wrestling because she wants to knock every single knockout down a peg. Moon says that starts with the IMPACT Knockouts Champion, Allie. Moon says that she thought her message to Allie last week was enough, but apparently Allie has been all over social media challenging her to a match. Moon says that if Allie wants a match, she'll get one at Bound For Glory on one condition, Allie has to put her IMPACT Knockouts Championship on the line! Moon finishes by saying that she's the baddest woman in the world of wrestling and she'll prove that at Bound For Glory.

Quote:
Monster's Ball Match
w/ VS
Kongo Kong w/Jimmy Jacobs vs Johnny Impact
These two men have been feuding for a while now, with Jimmy Jacobs most recently challenging Impact to a Monster's Ball Match on behalf of Kong last week. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Impact. Impact runs down to the ring in street clothes, immediately hitting Kong with a steel chair. Impact throws Kong into the corner and hits him with an enzuigiri. Impact goes under the ring and grabs a barb-wired baseball bat. Impact swings it at Kong, but Kong ducks it and Impact gets the bat stuck in the ropes. Kong takes advantage of this and hits Impact with a spinebuster. Jimmy Jacobs reaches under the ring and grabs a mysterious sack. Kong grabs the sack and pours it out, it's a bunch of thumbtacks! The match comes to an end when Kong tries hitting Impact with a powerbomb onto the tacks, but Impact wiggles out of it. Impact then hits Kong with the steel chair, sending Kong crashing onto the thumbtacks! Impact then goes to the top rope and hits Kong with Starship Pain (Split-legged corkscrew moonsault)! Impact covers Kong and gets the three!
WINNER: Johnny Impact

Quote:

After a quick commercial break, Brian Cage makes his way down to the ring with a microphone. Cage says that he's a bit disappointed in himself for losing the IMPACT X Division Championship last week. Cage says that he's ready to improve himself now, so he's issuing an open challenge to any person in the locker room to face "The Machine" one on one! After a short pause...

Paul Heyman appears on the ramp!

Heyman says that he's obviously not answering Cage's open challenge, but he has hired a new talent who gladly will. Heyman then introduces Cage's opponent...

"THE JUGGERNAUT" MATTHEW MURPHY!!!!

Murphy makes his way down to the ring and immediately slaps Cage across the face! The two men begin brawling as referee Brandon Tolle rings the bell to start this match!

Quote:
VS
Brian Cage vs Matthew Murphy
Cage was last seen on IMPACT last week when he lost his IMPACT X Division Championship to Fenix. Murphy is a powerful cruiserweight from down under who can go toe to toe with the best of them. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Cage. Cage and Murphy continue their scrum from before the bell, with Murphy hitting Cage with a spinning backfist. Murphy throws Cage off the ropes and hits him with a leaping shoulder tackle. Murphy picks up Cage and hits him with a spinning sitout powerbomb. Murphy covers Cage, but Cage kicks out at two. Murphy attempts his finisher, Murphy's Law (Pumphandle half nelson into a Death Valley Driver), but Cage reverses it into a backbreaker. Cage throws Murphy into the corner and hits him with a knife edge chop. Cage attempts a running powerslam, but Murphy reverses it into a hurricanrana. The match comes to an end when Murphy attempts Murphy's Law, but Cage reverses it into Weapon X! Cage covers Murphy, but Murphy manages to put his foot on the rope at the very last second! Murphy rolls out of the ring and grabs a sledgehammer. Cage tries going after Murphy, but Murphy hits him with the sledgehammer, causing a DQ! The referee calls for the bell as Murphy beats the living hell out of Cage with the sledgehammer! Murphy stands tall over Cage as officials tend to him.
WINNER: Brian Cage (By DQ)

Quote:

After that match is over, we cut to Tessa Blanchard backstage. Blanchard says that she is sick and tired of being looked down upon by every single knockout in this company. Blanchard says that the past two weeks have been nothing more than flukes and that she is the greatest knockout not just in the company today, but of all time! Before Blanchard can continue, she is interrupted by someone accidentally walking into the shot! Tessa asks who the hell she thinks she is to interrupt someone like her, to which the person introduces herself as...

Evie!

Evie says that she's sorry for interrupting her and that it'll never happen again. Tessa says that if Evie ever interrupts her again, her ass will be out on the street in no time at all. Evie says that Blanchard shouldn't be so confident about that, considering that she has been on a bit of a losing streak recently. Blanchard finishes by telling Evie she's worthless and storming off the set, leaving Evie to herself.

Quote:
VS
Austin Aries, Moose, & Killer Kross vs Eddie Edwards & The Lucha Brothers
Last week on IMPACT, Moose turned on Eddie Edwards in a tag team match against Aries & Kross and joined Aries & Kross. This week, Edwards tried to attack Moose, Aries, & Kross, but was attacked and saved by The Lucha Brothers, setting up tonight's main event. This match is a good match and the crowd is solidly behind Edwards & The Lucha Bros. Killer Kross and Pentagon Jr. start the match off with Kross hitting Pentagon with a big boot. Kross throws Pentagon into the corner and hits him with a knife edge chop. Kross attempts a military press slam, but Pentagon knees him in the head and hits him with a spinebuster. Pentagon tags out to Eddie Edwards, as Kross tags out to Aries. Aries and Edwards start beating the living hell out of each other until Edwards hits Aries with a gutwrench powerbomb. Edwards tries locking in an ankle lock, but Aries kicks him away and hits him with an exploder suplex. The match comes to an end when Aries tags out to Moose and Edwards tags out to Fenix. Fenix is able to use his agility and speed to take Moose down with a basement dropkick. Before Fenix can go to the top rope and do something...

oVe run in from the crowd and attack Pentagon Jr!

The three men mercilessly beat down on Pentagon as Fenix gets hit with a back superplex from Moose! Moose then picks up Fenix and hits him with the Spear! Moose covers Fenix and gets the three.
WINNERS: Austin Aries, Moose, & Killer Kross

Quote:

After the match is over, oVe continue to beat the living hell out of Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. Callihan and The Crists take out Fenix with three chair shots before Callihan tells The Crists to get a table. The Crists oblige and set up a table. Callihan then grabs Pentagon, goes to the second rope with him and sets him up for a piledriver! Before that can happen...

REY MYSTERIO RUNS DOWN FOR THE SAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mysterio gets a gigantic pop as he single-handedly takes out all three members of oVe! Mysterio then helps Fenix & Pentagon to their feet. IMPACT comes to a close as the debuting Mysterio stands tall with Pentagon & Fenix.
FINAL GRADE:

TV RATING: 1.25 (940,560 Viewers on 52MX, 5Spike, Global Wrestling Network, POP, and Sport.TV)

Scarlet & Graves (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) vs Joe Hendry & Grado
Comments: This is Scarlet & Graves's debut so they shouldn't really lose and again Hendy and Grado should rarely be winning on Impact. Do wonder if you plan to split them and let the prestigious one take flight

Mercedes Moon vs Kiera Hogan
Comments: Basically a exhibition match for Moon. Moon likely gonna send a message by beating Allie's newest friend.

Moose vs Johnny Impact
Comments: Maybe a unpopular pick but really like Moose and would give Moose a steak to the championship especially since Impact seems to be in need of challengers of the week.

Rich Swann vs Matthew Murphy
Comments: My bet for match of the night,Murphy will likely win but will be interesting if his rage rears it's head again along as Brian Cage.

Rey Mysterio vs Sami Callihan
Comments: A big name like Rey debuting yeah he's beating Sami but Sami will get a nice rub or could end with some OvE interference.
